PSCOSE Inroom C660 - problem trying to install Win 7

Hello

I have a problem when trying to install Win7,

Once I booted and the screen "Windows is loading files", it stuck at "Starting windows" screen even then microsoft logo does not appear.

I just leave it about 1 hour with the hope for the process to continue, but usless.

Clean installation of Microsoft DreamSpark-Academic Institutions and with the same source, it worked the last time ago about 1 year (32-bit).

But now I'm trying to install a version of Win 7 64 bit.

Brand BIOS TOSHIBA Versin 2.0

Hello

To be honest, I put t see any reasons for Win 7 64 bit installation is not possible.
In case you want to install Win 7 on this laptop, you should first check the BIOS settings.

To go into the BIOS, press F2 during the turn on/off the unit.
There should be a startup mode option. You can switch between the AHCI mode and compatibility mode. In which case you would use compatibility mode, the HARD disk performance would be slower.
So make sure the AHCI mode is used.

Finally, I would recommend checking the installation using a common Microsoft Windows disk.

By the way: you wrote that the laptop uses 6 GB RAM (1 x 2 GB + 1x4Go)
In your case I would remove a RAM module upgrade and would like to try to install the Windows operating system using the original configuration.

  • Trying to install win xp pro on the Satellite A200 - TH1 (PSAE3C)

    Hi all
I just bought this laptop. It came with vista. I want to install xp pro on it, I mean keep vista as well. So I made the partition and assigned 72 GB for xp pro. Now the problem is that xp pro install cd does not recognize the hard drive. It says no hard drive present.

It is a SATA drive. So I did some searching on Google on it and found that xp pro doesn't have SATA drivers and this is why you may not see the hard drive. I need to install the SATA drivers with xp pro by pressing F6... and blah blah. Given that this laptop didn't come with the disk, then I found on some forums to include drivers with xp pro cd and make an iso image and try to run it.

I tried several times but each time it gives me error this cable is broken. Is someone can pls let me know what is the problem? And also if anyone can guide me to get the right drivers for my SATA drive and intel 965 PM chipset... If I go the Intel Web site.

They are all. EXE files. I want the driver files only, so I can insert them into the xp cd. Thanks for your help and guidance adavance.
    Adam

    Hi all

I was able to get the drivers... now, I came across another hurdle... When I put the XP installation cd (which is an ISO bootable disk... This includes the xp sp2 and realtek nic drivers) it gives me message that searching for media... RTL8100E/8101E v1.02... test failed... Check if the cable is connected...

Any ideas? What should I do now? Any suggestion would be appreciated... Thank you

I think you are talking about the same problem which has been reported previously, on the 32-bit drivers included in the ICS and JB ROM updates   I copied the previously displayed summary below.  Note that this is how the drivers were packed when khanning got them; It has just included in the package.

    ------------------------------------------

If you talk to install the windows install the drivers (NvidiaUsb.inf) to a nvflash to K1, there is a known issue with the package for 32-bit Windows systems. In the NvidiaUsb.inf file, in the section titled "Section Source Media", he gives the name of the subfolder for the 32-bit drivers as "\i386. However, in the zip file, this 32-bit driver subfolder is named 'x 86 '. To correct the problem, either unpack the zip file, then the subfolder to rename the "x 86" (in the "drivers" folder) in the "i386", or even change the "NvidiaUsb.inf" (in the "drivers" folder) of the file and change the line that says "1 = % DISK_NAME%,,,\i386" instead of saying "\x86' at the end. Assuming you are on a 32-bit Windows system, try to install it again and it should work.

Note on installation, stopping at Partition 12 - many people have managed everything by repeating the installation, sometimes 2 or 3 times.  I don't think that the problem is related to the Windows drivers.

  • Problem trying to install esxi on HP Proliant DL380 G7 5.1 - don't start of media

Hello, pretty new VMware and trying to build a test lab while studying the review.  Facing a problem already in step 1.  Hoping for help.

I downloaded VMware-VMvisor-Installer - 5.1.0 - 799733.x86_64.iso site.  Loaded on a USB key (also tried CD) and tried to boot from it on the server, but not likely to recognize it.  Server has no OS installed and running RAID1.

I give probably not enough necessary information then let me know what other info I need to be able to help.

    Thank you!

    sk713,

While using that iso should work I would recommend for your HP Server using the oem version of HP esxi5.1. You can find this iso located here: http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/software/vmware/esxi-image.html . Using the OEM makes most of the time because all the specific drivers of HP will be preloaded into this version. Also, if your make a USB ISO I would recommend using rufus located here http://rufus.akeo.ie/ to generate your key usb. In addition, stating what is obvious, but you need to make sure that you select boot from usb or DVD when your system starts.

Have you installed or included the SATA driver?
The new laptops are equipped with a SATA controller and this is why you would need to include the SATA drivers that would recognize the HARD drive correctly. In addition the SP2 should be included in Win XP

Of course it goes crashing, you can not install software for Windows 7 32 bit on a 64-bit operating computer you need to stick with Windows 7 64 bit software there is a big difference in OS OK. If you want to run the older version of the software on your 64-bit Windows 7 computer you can always but not all software work can you get grade Windows 7 home 64 bit for Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and once that is downloaded will go to microsoft website and download windows xp mode. Hello Thomas_Si,

Thank you for your message.  Please, try the following steps:

Since you have already downloaded and run the system update tool, you can move on to step 2.

    1. According to your architecture of Windows 7, download / install and run the tool update system - CheckSur you can download the tool from the links below depending on your system type.

Download the tool update system (64-bit)

Download (32-bit) system update readiness tool

    2. click Start type cmd (you should see the command prompt fill up) right click and select run as administrator

Inside the command prompt, type sfc/scannow

For more information regarding the file system checker.

    * If corruption is found, see How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    3. once the SFC is finished, check your hard drive for errors.

4 restart the system update readiness tool. If errors have been eliminated, try to reinstall Service Pack 1. If this is not the case, go to step 5.

    5. perform a Startup Repair, when starting, try to install the Service Pack.

Please let us know the details of each scan or utility. We can't wait to hear back on your part.

    See you soon

  • Install Win 7 on my DLU 0768

    Hello

I am planning to install Windows 7 64 bit (clean install) on my laptop 0768-DLU. The current config for the laptop is as below:

    Product: Lenovo N100 0768-DLU [change]

    Operating system: Windows XP [change]

    Original description: T5500(1.66GHz), 1 GB of RAM, HD 120 GB at 5400 RPM, LCD 15.4 in 1280 x 800, Intel 950, CD-RW/DVD-RW, Intel 802.11abg wireless, Bluetooth/Modem, 10/100 Ethernet, IEEE 1394, reader of fingerprints, 6 c, batt Li - ion, WinXP Home

I ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and he showed me in warning fingerprint reader drivers saying that pilots are perhaps not available. I have the foll. issues related to the:

    (1) has any who tried to install Win 7 and install later all the success of drivers?

    (2) should I go for 32-bit or 64-bit according to the availabilities of the driver?

    (2) Will Lenovo supported driver problems I encounter when I have upgrade to Win 7?

    Thank you!

I have 7 on my N100, only need a few drivers,.

    found HERE

As 5 in 1 reader cards (base system device).

I don't have a fingerprint, bluetooth, different wireless reader.

I would choose 32 bit to minimize driver problems.

I doubt, there would be no support from lenovo.

How to go is your system image and try the win 7 install.
