• Should I uninstall PSE 13 Installer?

  Yes, you can uninstall akamai.  It is not necessary.

  I am new to Adobe. This is my first product. No Adobe product on my machines, other than Adobe Acrobat Reader.

  Tried to install Photoshop Elements 8 for Mac on two different MacBook aluminum - running an OS 10.5 and the other 10.6.

  There is no installation program that runs after you insert the DVD.

  I get an icon on the desktop. By clicking on the icon shows me several files on the drive - including reading Readme that says to install just "follow the instructions on the screen.

  There is a file called "setup" - but when I click it asks for my password. I did not provide the password because it is not just feel it's the right way to install this software.

  Any ideas on how to get the installer to run?

  Yes, this is the right way to install, UN-maclike, although it is. Do not your admin password to install.

  Yes and there are two different places that can install files on mac and windows custom shapes csh

  ~/Library/application support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop elements 14/Presets/Custom Shapes

  (this is your user library)

  / Forms of files/settings predefined/custom 14/applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements Support

  Windows

  C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\14.0\Presets\Custom forms

  or

  C:\Program Adobe Photoshop elements 14\Presets\Custom forms

  The difference is that if you put the HCS in your user presets, custom shape library will show at the bottom of the list with a separator when you chose the library custom shape in the drop-down list of cookie cutter.

  Und verstehe ich kein Englisch spreche Leider

  Unlangst was ich einen auf meinem PC Superbug. Alle neu installieren program would. Auch so Photoshop elements 12.

  Leider vergebens first elements 12 auch ich versuche zu installieren.

  Fehler: 1406.

  Habe auch auch die instructions befolgt, wo ich Dateien löschen should usw.

  Es gibt keinen Telefonsupport.

  WER kann mir helfen wie?

• PSE 8 Mac Installation Confusion

  Supposedly, if we jump into the disc of PSE 8 we idiotproof instructions to follow instructions.  However, we have an iMac that has only a few months, so it should work correctly with PSE 8.  When we jumped in the disc, nothing happened.  There is a drive on the screen icon, but no window doesn't open, no installation instructions came, not nothing.  By clicking on the icon of the disk would open a window.  The readme it says follow the instructions that came after inserting the disc, and since no instructions came, it was no help.  The only thing that seems to work is that I tried dragging the folder in the applications folder.  Then I clicked on PSE 8 in the applications folder and then ran a setup routine.  It seems to have installed, even if I have no idea if it installed correctly.  We do not have the Mac a long time ago, and I haven't used a Mac since system 7 has been around, so the Leopard/Snow Leopard installation routine is different and somewhat familiar, but I saw enough to know that no other application does that we have installed as PSE 8 did.  Have we done something wrong, or is this really how PSE 8 installs?

  No, which won't change anything. The problem is that now you also setup in your applications folder. If you can figure out who he is (he should not be in the PSE application itself), then just trash that.

  I bought 8 PES in 2009 by a retailer and recorded with Adobe.  My computer crashed and I lost 8 PES when I did a system restore.  I have more PSE 8 installation disc.  Adobe Customer Service suggested that I post on the forum to see if a registered member can be a way for me to download PES 8.

  Hi Barbara,

  For PSE8, the serial number can be used on the version downloaded as boxed. The limitation that you indicated above was for PSE 7 and earlier versions.

• PSE 8.0 WILL NOT DOWNLOAD FILES CANON 1DMKIV CR

  I reinstalled intslled and PSE8.0 and the software STILL will not download the RAW files from the Canon 1DMKIV.

  All other downloads of all my other fine body Canon CR.

  I still get errors "Corruption or file already exists" If you check Adobe CS4 RAW files are downloaded properly.

  Any tips?

  It is the 2nd copy of the PSE's installation CD. Technical support is not bad.

  Check the version of Adobe Camera Raw PSE8 running.

  Open the editor and select help > about plug-in > Camera Raw

  If necessary updated to version 6.2

• Need help to organize Actions in ESP 12

  I just upgraded from the 10 to 12 of the PSE PSE and installs my actions, but I can find absolutely no way to organize them.  PES 10, there is a drop down menu in the effect controls panel, where I have all my acts separated into categories (filters, enhancements, thumbnails, etc.) so that I can just click on the 'thumbnails', for example, and see all of my shares of vignette.  Not only 12 PES does not appear to have this option (there no drop at all), but there seems to be no way to move stocks all about organize them once they are installed.  I tried clicking and dragging them, but they do not move.  Someone knows some way to organize or label or rearrange them or something?  If not, it will be a nightmare looking for every action, every time...

  In the editor of PES 12, when you window > Effects and click on the word effects, you do not have a drop down menu like in the screenshot below?

  I recently bought the PSE 14 black and white Photo. Download received in my e-mail with the serial number and instructions... I download the program from the PSE 14 and it has been installed. After exploring this program I have encountered a few problems and could not resolve so I uninstalled PSE 14 thought I re - download and install to see if that helped issues. Well now, I can download the program, but when it tries to install it, I get a message that the installer initialization failed. Can't seem to solve this problem and don't know where to go... need help
