Hello

As a test of raw it is convenient for us to external ping tne WAN port on the SRP 527W, gives us a quick idea of the question of if it will respond.

Can someone advise how we configure the SRP 527W for this purpose? FYI, we have the inbulit RPS firewall is turned on.

See you soon,.

Hi Dale, under Network-> firewall-> firewall filter Configuration disable the "internet filter requests anonymous."

  • How can I find my external and internal port number

I am trying to access the internet via a live ethernet cable from my router, except the computer im trying to use is new to the House, but is under xp. I also have a laptop which I use to ask these questions, which accesses the internet via a wireless connection. I open 'Internet Properties' and entered my IP address and I am now looking for my external and internal port numbers try to connect. Is it and most easy way? I'm on the right track? Help, please. :)

If you really have a router, then this router should affect your computer all the configuration settings that it needs to connect to the internet (or local) automatically via DHCP.  The "TCP/IP properties" correct settings on your computer must be set to "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically".  If your router is configured correctly, it will automatically load these settings, such as all you need to do is to connect your computer to your router.  If this does not work, then you must download the manual of your router and verify its configuration.

  • Satellite U300 - 13 M - port external monitor (VGA port) does not work

Dear users of Forums from Toshiba,

I have a problem with the VGA port. I use the Windows XP operating system. Laptop, do not display on an external monitor, I tried all monitors to connect to my office, but does not solve this problem. I also tried to reinstall Windows XP, once again, and nothing has changed.

    Please help me.

    Best regards, Elbrus

    Hello

I guess that by Satellite U300 came preinstalled with Vista. Am I right about that?
Anyway, if you want to use external monitor and switch successfully to him you must install the utilities and tools of Toshiba. There are several of them and allows you to use the FN + F5 key combination and move your desktop to laptop LCD display to the external monitor.

Can you please tell me one thing: have you installed all the stuff of the Toshiba download page according to document Instructions of facilities?
The configuration of the laptop is not known to me, but try please check the Intel properties and let me know if the external monitor is recognized in properties. Usually, you can choose to use the external monitor there.

You can also start Toshiba HWsetup utility. There must be tab display. There you can also find an option to use the LCD screen + monitor at startup.

Check it out please and post the results.

  • WAN PING

    Hello!

I need to be able to ping the interface wan sonciwall NSA E5600 from a single IP address on the internet. If anyone can help?

    Thank you.

My English is not very good but I'll try to explain.

Go to Network Edition - Interfaces, the WAN interface and select ' management: Ping.

This will create an automatic firewall rule to allow ANY source Ping to the WAN interface.

Just go to the rules of firewall (from WAN to WAN) this rule and select Edit 'Source' to change the "ANY" to the only address on the Internet you want to. You will need create an address for the desired source IP address object.

  • Cannot ping port host MD3000i on RC0

    Hello

I have set up my iSCSI network, as suggested in this post:

    http://en.community.Dell.com/TechCenter/storage/w/wiki/MPIO-to-PowerVault-MD3000i-with-Microsoft-iSCSI-initiator.aspx

I can only ping the ports of controller RAID 1 (two ports). All of my iSCSI traffic is drunk through the controller. Windows Server 2008R2 (R710/810), but also an ESXi 4.1 cluster (R610 and PE2950) access the dedicated iSCSI network. I contacted the support a few weeks ago, and they have replaced the MD3000i RAID controllers as well as the background. They are insistent that there is a configuration problem and would not assist any more beyond to send me links suggested configs. I went through the Setup on the R810 (Windows 2008R2) from scratch. This has not produced different results. Then I updated all drivers (BCM5709Cs) NETWORK card and software on all hosts, successfully restarted the MD3000i and the two MD1000s bike powered two switches HP Procurve 1400 and restarted all hosts. I can't always ping RC0. I Putty and captured RC0 boot logs, but it was not obvious to me. Here are the logs of boot:

IPs I can ping: 10.182.232.251 and 10.182.233.251 (both on RC1). I can even ping all other iSCSI host initiator ports! I hope I gave enough information about me for some answers. Please advise!

    Thank you.

What are the 4 IP addresses and subnets for the 4 the MD3000i iSCSI ports?

    ISCSI controller 0 port 0?: (guess 10.182.232.250/24)

    ISCSI 0 1 controller port?: (guess 10.182.233.250/24)

Controller 1 iSCSI port 0: 10.182.232.251 24 (hypothesis on the mask)

Port of iSCSI controller 1 1: 10.182.233.251 24 (hypothesis on the mask)

    Wiring must be:

    iSCSI 1 Switch / VLAN:

    ISCSI controller 0 port 0

    ISCSI controller 1 port 0

Server 1 iSCSI port 0 (in the subnet 10.182.232.x 24)

    etc.

    iSCSI Switch 2 / VLAN:

    ISCSI 0 1 controller port

    ISCSI 1 1 controller port

Server 1 iSCSI port 0 (in the subnet 10.182.233.x 24)

    etc.

To test iSCSI on controller 0 port, take a cell phone with a Gbit ethernet port (any modern laptop should have it), connect the ethernet controller iSCSI 0 0, 10.182.232.100 port value IP from the laptop and try to ping 10.182.232.250 (assuming that it comes to the INVESTIGATION period on this port). If it works, change the IP of the laptop to 10.182.233.100 and move the cable to the iSCSI port 1 and try to ping 10.182.233.250 and see if you can ping the IP address.

If these two are working, the first thing that comes to mind is that the port 0 and 1 have their swapped cables.

  • External ringer on Port FXS VoIP phone w / call Mgr 8.6

    Hello

I'm doing an external Bell at the same time when a Cisco VoIP phone is called.  The environment in which we are is very hard and the ringtone was great before, we have implemented VoIP.

I have the external Bell connected to a FXS port out of my 2800 router.  When I call the number I have on the other hand, it sounds.  I have assigned the same number to a VoIP Cisco Call Manager phone, but it sounds only if I have the 'destination-number 9195551212' removed from the FXS port.

I looked for answers/ideas on the Board and found that some said and use the stcapp option to set the maximum option to 2 or more on the number in the call manager.  However, it made no difference; I can have either the Bell, or the number - but not both.

    Anyone have any ideas?

  • RV180 getting is not gigabit/1000 WAN port speed

I have my RV180 connected to a modem Motorola SB6121 cable into the WAN port. The modem indicates that the connection to the router is only 10/100. If I plug my laptop directly into the cable modem, it indicates that the connection is full gigabit.

RV180 configuration, less Networking > port management, the WAN (Internet) port is enabled and Full Duplex value and speed of 1000. Auto-negotiation and flow control are unchecked. I also changed the WAN port for auto-negotiation and restarted the RV180. But none of these settings seem to affect the speed detected on the modem end. He always shows a light orange Link that says 10/100Base-T, instead of a blue light of the link indicating full 1000Base-T.

Am I missing another setting somewhere, or is there another reason why the modem insists that the connection to the router is only 10/100?

If I plugged my laptop into the RV180 rouoter's WAN port, I do not see how that would be a proper test.

Then two different cables do you use?  The reason why I ask because there are some cables Cat5/Cat6 "shonky" that are not properly completed.  If they are properly finished cables, you can obtain 1 Gbps.  If this isn't the case, you will get 100 Mbps.

  • [SRP527w] Use the 4 Ethernet Port as a WAN Port?

    English:

    Hello world

I just can't understand how to use the ethernet port 4 as a WAN port.

I think it's possible because it labeled LAN/WAN at the rear of the unit... If someone can, please let me know how!

    Thank you for your help,

    Gaultier.

    English:

    Hi all

I can't configure the 4 en world WAN ethernet port.

It seems to me that this is possible since the port is called LAN/WAN on the device... If someone did it, thanks for that comment!

    Thank you for your help,

    Gaultier.

    Hi Gauliter,

Please use the Administration > menu of switch setting.  Set the option Interface DSL for disable use 4 Port LAN instead of the ADSL interface.

Note, this setting will factory reset the router and completely disable this ADSL interface.

    I hope this helps.

  • VMware View Agent 5.2.0 PCoIP over WAN fails

Recently, I did an upgrade on VMware View VMware view horizon 5.2 4.6 square.

After the upgrade the 4.6.0 view agent in virtual machines of my parents to view agent 5.2.0 and rebuild the office pools, external PCoIP does not work. Can I open a session in the 5.2 Client view, see the list of office pools, select a pool, the desk at work close and try to open remotely. After 1 second, this error appears:

Error: Overview of VMware View Client: The connection to the remote computer has ended.

    What does not work:

    • External/WAN via PCoIP for workstations with the view Agent 5.2.0

    What does not work:

    • Internal/LAN via PCoIP for workstations with the view Agent 5.2.0
    • Internal/LAN via RDP for workstations with the view Agent 5.2.0
    • External/WAN via RDP for workstations with the view Agent 5.2.0
    • External/WAN via PCoIP for workstations with the Agent View 5.1.3 or lower (tested up to 4.6.0 Agent view)

I even tried to build a new pool of desktop Windows 7 in a new OU in the active without optimizations VDI directory or group policy. I tried with and without the firewall Windows is activated. In any case, this new office pool works externally via any Agent from view but the view Agent 5.2.0.

Is it the 5.2.0 Agent view have the same firewall/port that the Agent View 5.1.3 requirements? What else can I test or try to get external PCoIP for desktop computers to work with the view Agent 5.2.0?

Finally, we discovered the problem / solution. We on a security apparatus of Palo Alto Networks that blocked traffic PCoIP 5.2.0 but not PCoIP 5.1.3 traffic.

According to a backline Vmware engineer:

"A change was made to the ephemeral TLS connection that is used to establish trust and to negotiate parameters for subsequent UDP traffic network. This change allows the customer to use their own certificate for TLS server for this connection. For more details of what happens during the installation of PCoIP, and how this changed view 5.2, see KB 1038762. »

It seems that Palo Alto Networks did not like this change. When we removed our Palo Alto of WAN device, PCoIP 5.2.0 connections could be created. We finally had create a rule to allow the category: private-ip-addresses and URL: pcoip - by default-sni. Once this change has been made, connections WAN PCoIP 5.2.0 started working.

  • Satellite Pro L10 problem with Ports COM/Hyperterminal & Bluetooth

    Hello
I have the following problems with the above machine:

    (1) I have attached an external series COM port to the machine. However, I can not connect to the COM Port using Hyperterminal.
    (2) I installed a Bluetooth USB adapter, but I can't view the protocol configuration.

Each of the above works perfectly with another laptop that doesn't have a Bluetooth or even a network card.

Everyone has experienced similar problems. I use WinXP SP2.

    Thank you

    MC

    Hello

1, in which is the external COM port connected? Is detected in a straight path in Device Manager? What is the error msg to Hyperterminal?
When connected via PCMCIA, try to change the settings for PCMCIA slot in the BIOS!

2, try to reinstall the Toshiba Bluetooth stack! There may be some problems. The MS Bluetooth stack does not work properly with the Toshiba devices and one of the earlier Toshiba Bluetooth stack is not signed by Windows XP Service Pack 2!
