  • Inspiron 530 video upgrade question card

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 has. It has all the pieces of stock right now, but I'll put a core 2 duo E7400 in there when it happens. The next issue is that I need a video card for it. What is the best card that can be put in it without an upgrade to the PSU, yet? The power supply will not be upgraded for awhile. The motherboard is the G33M02, not 03 version version. He seems to have the 1.0.15 installed BIOS version, I will update as soon as I have the chance. It has not always been connected even to install an operating system - came empty (just bought from a wholesaler of machines of companies).

Edit - forgot the bios information.

Forget the 8400 GS.  This card is too old and has little to offer with regard to the performance of the game.  The HD 6450 or 610 GT are the best cards. The minimum requirement to play Mechwarrior online is the HD 6450 and the GT 610 offers similar performance.  If you want something better without too much spending, I'd recommend getting the HD 6570 HERE.  This card would have much better performance of game at the expense of others.

  • Looking to update the graphics card Inspiron 530 s

Hi, I was looking for to upgrade graphics card my Inspiron 530 of the s to something that would be consistent and give better performance. I use it mainly for games and play games such as minecraft and team fortress 2. Unfortunately, my pace is not very good. Also I said that my case is a slim that I would need a card low profile. Fake card can be found here: http://www.dell.com/us/dfh/p/inspiron-530s/pd any response would be really appreciated, thanks! Also, feel free to ask more questions about the specifications of the computers.

You must use a profile card down so he can adapt.  Also, you are limited by your power 250 watt until you can get.  The best card you will get there and others have used is the HD 6670 HERE. See discussion below on this particular card.  One step down would be the HD 6570.   The HD 6670 and HD 6570 have identical power drinks so there is not a lot of reasons to get the HD 6570 unless you want to save money.   Really useless much but to play the games you mentioned, even a cheap HD 5450 or HD 6450 works very well HERE and be more than enough.  You must use graphics just to edge.

A new 300 watt PSU can be purchased for your system HERE if you are more comfortable with it.

Pros: Requires very little energy to my 250w PSU was enough to make it work.
I play most games with setting max now

Cons: A bit noisy, but it's not so bad.

Other thoughts: I have a Dell inspiron 530 s (slim model) which is an old system with only 250w power supply I was afraid that he might not run but has no problems so far. I recommend this card to people with slim cases with low power.

-Was any change in software because the computer before the show?

    Follow the steps mentioned below:

    Step 1:

Temporarily disable the antivirus software (and any other security software) and the firewall on the computer as a test. Once disabled check if you can connect to the internet without any error.

If disabling the antivirus software solves the problem, you may need to configure the settings of the antivirus as a result program. Please contact the software vendor for assistance in this regard.

Note: Make sure that you enable the antivirus software, other security and firewall programs.

I guess you have the Inspiron 530 mini tour with the 300w/350w PSU and not the version of Slimline s 530, with a power of 250w.

MT 530 systems were built with two different models of motherboards.

If your 530 has been purchased with either a Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual-Core, Celeron processor and a 300w power supply, this system usually involves an 0RY007/G679R/CU409 [FoxConn G33m02] motherboard which only supports LGA 775 Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual-Core and Celeron processors and 4 GB of RAM.

If your Inspiron 530 minitower shipped with a LGA 775 Core 2 Quad processor and a 350w power supply, you have the motherboard [FoxConn DG33m03] of 0FM586.

The card mother 0FM586 can be used for both Quad 4 and Core 2 Duo processors and can support 8 GB of RAM, with a 64-bit operating system

Motherboard is your MT 530 have?

    The Inspiron 530 with a motherboard G33M02/0RY007 will support either 4 GB [4 x 1 GB, or 2 x 2 GB DDR2 PC - 2 modules - 5300 or DDR2 PC2-6400 memory.]

  • Issue on Inspiron 530 MOBO replacement

First I want to apologize because I bet that a lot of people before me came before ask exactly the same question, but I need to hear it straight from the mouth of the horse to clear doubts I may, besides I did search for similar topics on the dell forum and cela and nothing conclusive why after pondering for months I should do yet another topic related to dell inspiron 530 or not , but I have finally decided to bite the bullet and we are here. As the title suggests I have questions about the replacement of my dell inspiron 530 mobo broke, it's the G33m02 who, what little research, I can only take up to 4gbs of ram, or 8 gb according to the interviewee (and where is my star doubts) and cannot stand other processors core 2 duo like the one he had, however I have read somewhere in the dell forum that case made for dell computers may have other mobos dell for the same model computer, for example a 530's (which apparently have been sold only in China) motherboard can be replaced by a 530 ordinary because of the PIN and connectors and a few other tech mumbo jumbo that goes completely over my head and I was wondering if I could replace my dell inspiron for a G33M03 or DG33M03 so G33m02 I can also upgrade the processor now that I have access to the core 2 quad processors and 8gbs of ram for some, again, I am sorry I have to do yet another of them because what I saw thousands of people had doubts about this but none appeared to be conclusive enough for me
Edit: Also, I forgot to ask, can I just buy a. G33M03 or DG33M03 MOBOs or not be a manufactured by Dell, also, these two are my only two choice in addition to become another G33M02? Again, I am really sorry and thank you for taking the time to read this

    SETH VALENTINET

The G33m02 is a [cheaper] depopulated version of the motherboard that has only a voltage regulator IC 6, rather than regulators 11 voltage on the motherboard G33m03, that supports the processors Core 2 Duo and Quad Core.

The card mother G33m02 can be replaced by the motherboard G33m03, but food must also be replaced by a unit 350w +, instead of the default 300w unit installed with the card mother G33m02.

Inspiron motherboards are built by Foxconn for exclusive specifications of Dell.

With regard to the installation of a non Dell motherboard, probably best to use a motherboard specs Dell, as the BIOS accept software OEM Dell, for example operating systems, more it will match the cabling of the Panel Connectors front chassis Dell.

PS, I still have an old Inspiron 530 MT of 9 years, with a G33m02 motherboard was updated with hybrid hard drives, Windows 10 and an e8600 LGA 775 processor

  • Recommendations for a second hard drive for my Inspiron 530 please

    Hello

I have an Inspiron 530 standard.

My main 320 HARD disk drive is approaching full and I want to add a second internal HDD.

My intention was to use the new drive as a secondary drive just to store and edit photos.

Can anyone recommend a compatible drive about 500 GB in size I can use.

Can you tell me if there a SATA drive that I need, recommended speed (RPM) and I'll need to get all the connectors etc.

Thanks in advance for your help and advice

    David

    providan

Assuming you have the Inspiron 530 mini tour and not Slimline 530 s version.

You can install any SATA 3.5 "internal hard drive 7200 RPM up to 2 TB without problem.

Discover the brands Seagate and Western Digital, also check the length of the manufacturer's warranty, unfortunately hard drives prices are extremely high, due to the flooding of the Thailand, readers, I bought last September for $40 with a promo, now costs $108.

Instructions for the installation of a second hard drive physically in a 530 are here.

You will need a SATA data cable, there should be a spare connector to SATA power inside the housing.

After you have installed the drive, enter the system setup and make sure the hard drive is "on" [We] and recognized.  The system configuration.

For windows to recognize the second hard drive, it must be partitioned and formatted. Go to control panel, administrative tools, computer management, storage, disk management, right click on the new drive, select format, then you can assign a drive letter.

  • Upgrade CPU Dell Inspiron 530?

I bought a Dell Inspiron 530 in October 2008 (Service tag <> NOTE from the ADMIN: Service tag removed by privacy policy >) and I would like to upgrade the processor. My current processor is an Intel Celeron 450 2.20 GHz. I think that my motherboard is a Foxconn G33M02. (But I am not sure, and I would like to confirm that, so that I don't get an incompatible cpu.)

What would be a good upgrade from the processor that I can put in my current motherboard? I feel that my current Celeron 450 is a uniprocessor processor, and I would trade out for an important and remarkable improvement with more hearts (at reasonable cost) while keeping the same motherboard.

I've already updated the PSU for a 460 Watt PSU and have also upgraded the video card. Looking for a good upgrade from the processor. I think I also need to update my bios of motherboard.

    livin2fly

530 systems were built with two different models of motherboards.

FoxConn G33m02 [Dell P/N ORY007] motherboard, this version does not support processors Core 2 Quad, only the Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual-Core and Celeron processors.

One of the following processors should operate in the 530 Inspiron:

Intel Pentium Dual Core 2140 (1.6 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
    Intel Pentium Dual-Core 2160 (1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
    Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 (2.5 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)

  • Adding 2nd hard drive for Inspiron 530

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 which has a Samsung 320 hard drive.  I would like to add a second hard drive to put photos, etc.  Green a Western Digital 2 TB 3.5 "SATA looks like a possibility.  However, images, like most of the internal drives I saw pictures, he has one open side showing the drive mechanism.  The Samsung already in the PC is covered.  The additional disc will not become covered with dust (my PC had a lot of cobwebs in it when I opened it to the top!)?  Any advice on which drive to choose and how to install it would also be appreciated.

    dellby

All computers must be inside the frame, cleaned all the dust on a regular basis.

I have two HD SATA and SSD installed in my Inspiron 530 mini tour and have never had a problem of "dust."

Keep the air intakes located on the façade behind the clean HD of any accumulation of dust, helps to cool the hard drives.

Instructions for the installation of a second hard drive physically in a 530 are here:

    FTP://FTP.Dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_inspiron_desktop/Inspiron-530_owner%27s%20manual_en-us.PDF

Will need you a SATA data cable, there should be a spare power connector SATA inside the case and four 6-32 X 1/4, Phillips head screws to mount the drive.

Connect the SATA data cable to the SATA connector on the motherboard.

After you have installed the drive, enter the system setup and make sure the hard drive is "on" [We] and recognized.

For windows to recognize the second hard drive, it must be partitioned and formatted.

Go to control panel, administrative tools, computer management, storage, disk management, right click on the new drive, select format, then you can assign a drive letter.

Hard drives Western Digital and Seagate are good, my preference is for Western Digital.

Also check the length of the manufacturer's warranty, plus the best guarantee.

  • RAID 3 TB in Inspiron 530, disks appear as Go 746,5

Hi, wasn't sure if it was better in the office forum or here in readers, but they are more obscure than readers PC, so maybe someone else has experienced.

I have an inspiron 530, nice litlle q6600 box.

I picked up a few drives 3 TB who intend to implement raid1.

The I tried one of the discs first in win7 and it worked fine, all 3 to is perceived.

I go into the bios and switch to the raid, it goes in the Intel Matrix Storage Manager option Rom and in there, the drives appear as the only 746,5 GB

I had heard that more than 2 TB of drives must be set to the GPT instead of mbr, so I used a disk utility to pass.

Both the bios and windows will recognize drives like 3 TB, but the Bishop raid will not see their past 746,5 any thoughts?

I tried a 1.5 TB drive in the machine and went into the raid rom, and he saw the full 1.5 to

    Hi Oahawhool,

First of all, you should try to update the BIOS of your Inspiron 530. But if you are already up to date, I suspect that the Intel RAID Utility simply not only supports large hard drives. The operating system will support them as long as your Intel RST is up-to-date, as you may need to simply a different strategy that RAID 1 maintain redundancy.

  • Double monitor Inspiron 530 with Radeon 3600

The goal: Office expanded, so I can have different applications on each display (three apps, side by side, accounting work. sometimes need 4 apps!).

I can't get two monitors to work on my Inspiron 530, Vista 64-bit. The Dell Support site and other sites, it makes its easy to connect the two cables, one on the VGA port and the other to DVI port. Not the case. I googled and searched the Dell Community and not found specific instructions, if someone can help a person no - IT? I'm not a tech person, but I'm trying to be self-sufficient.

I'm not sure what order to describe the material and edits I've tried, but I know you guys like as much information as possible, so:

Processor: E7400 2.8 Ghz, 8 MB of RAM, I do not know how to find info on diet, if that matters.

Graphics card: I bought the machine in 2009 with the graphics card ATI Radeon HD 3650 so that I could have two monitors in the future. Now that I'm ready for two monitors. I see in the Catalyst Control Center where it could be implemented, but I can't see both monitors when the machine is started.

Ports: Glancing at the back of the machine and along the bottom row I see the DVI port and also have an HDMI port and a Mini DisplayPort connector. Above left is the VGA port, which is capped.

    Monitors, I have so far:

    1. Dell SP2900W, I ordered with the machine came with VGA and DVI - D cables (single) (+ USB), always used connected to DVI (w USB).
    2. Dell U2713HM, came with VGA and DVI - D (dual) cables (+) USB

Experience: I can get a monitor to work individually, using the DVI port. But if I try to plug into the VGA port, individually or in combo with the other DVI, I get the dreaded "added to the graphic card" message at startup - my novice research tells me that the VGA port is currently not usable because of the Radeon 3650 and I think the message tells me to give up on the VGA and only use the DVI port. But I only have a DVI port.

One thing about the USB cables, I also understand should be plugged in at the same time as the DVI, I plugged them into a D-Link DUB - H7. There is a free USB port on the rear of the machine and four in the front, if I need to stop using the D-link for monitors, please let me know.

So please, gods of all things Dell, do - do I have to get my goal?

    1. Change the BIOS to re - enable VGA (how and will I want to use the DVI and VGA ports?)?
    2. Get an HDMI cable, a monitor can be HDMI, DVI another? Both monitors have the HDMI ports.
    3. Get something external expansion of graphics (such as Matrox DualHead2Go DP)?
    4. Catalyst Control Center update? I have 11.5.
    5. Update on the Radeon HD 3650 driver? I 8,850, 19/04/11, wow it's old, I guess, but on the AMD website, I get a little confused, which, as we...
    6. Take the machine to a department store and have them install a second DVI port?

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Please help, or I'll use the emoticon "cry like a baby".

    inspiron530acct,

The keyboard, mouse and the two upstream monitor USB cables must be plugged directly into the rear USB ports on the Inspiron 530. All other USB devices must be plugged into the D - Link DUB - H7 which is plugged into one of the USB ports on the front of the Inspiron 530.

    1 = DVI monitor Video card--> cable DVI to DVI--> SP2009WFP DVI
Monitor 2 = video card Mini DisplayPort--> mDP to DP cable--> port U2713HM DP
Next, go to the Ati Catalyst Control Center extended mode and Setup.
