Public IP address used internally on RV220W

Hello

I've finally set up our RV220W to serve our network of offices, using the following environment:

WAN is set for a public IP (static configuration), while internal network consists of two VLANS.

VLAN 1 is connected to the cable network and a SSID wireless, where DHCP is served by our server Windows SBS (192.168.15.x), and this VLAN is used only for our own office. VLAN 2 is connected to a second SSID wireless, where DHCP is served by the RV220W himself (192.168.17.x) and this VLAN is used for guests and visitors to our office.

On a regular basis, we need to use a mobile device to access a test page of a development server on VLAN 1, and the router is configured to redirect the connections on a specific port on the public IP address to our development server.

For VLAN 1, I solved this by substituting the DNS for the host name of this test page to use the local IP address of the development server.

However, for VLAN 2, there is no way to access this test page.

Is there a way I can configure the router to redirect connections, either replace the internal DNS for the test on the development server page is also accessible from 2 VLAN (network comments/visitor)?

Thanks for any help.

Hi Kim, what firmware version are you using? You can load the last

http://www.Cisco.com/Cisco/software/release.html?mdfid=283118607&flowid=&softwareid=282487380&OS=null&release=1.0.4.17&relind=null&rellifecycle=null&RelType=null

On older versions, there are a few problems Hairpin, but most have been resolved on the latest 2 releases.

  • internal web server access to the content of the network using the public ip address

Hi, I saw similar topics, but not a clear answer about it. I have a PIX 515e with two interfaces, a web server internal (ip 192.168.0.5) and internal users want to access the server by its (99.99.99.9) ie public ip address is not using DNS. Tried the command alias ' alias (inside) 99.99.99.9 192.168.0.5 "but does not work for http. I can access the server on the local network using the public address for smtp, pop3 and ftp with or without command alias, but not the http service. Any idea?

    a few quick comments.

a function of the command "alias" is to force the pix to manipulate the dns response. However, you mentioned that you didn't use dns.

'alias' command will also force the pix to send traffic to 192.168.0.5 when it receives a packet from the inside and intended to be 99.99.99.9. However, since the host and the server are located in the same segment, i.e. pix must re - route the packet to the inside interface, and this operation is not supported with pix v6.x.

In addition, you mentioned the inside host can access the smtp, pop3 and ftp using 99.99.99.9. This is interesting because the host of 192.168.0.0 would not directly have access to the host of 99.99.99.x without router.

  • Configure the router WRT54G with the PUBLIC IP address and use the DHCP protocol for internal computers

    Hello

I have a service online Internet with 5 public IP addresses.

The router and the AP are connected to a switch.

I would like to set up a WRT54G Router with a public IP address and use DHCP (with private ip address) for the computers that will connect to the AP.

That the AP is connected to the switch, it is possible that the other wired computers that are connected to the same switch can get an IP from the DHCP?

    Thanks in advance

In this case, the routing is automatic.

    WRT54G configuration:

    WAN:

    Internet connection: static IP address

    IP address: 180.X. X 170

    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.248

    Gateway: 180.x.x.x (Ex: 180.x.x.1)

    DNS: servers your ISP DNS

    LAN:

The IP address of the router: 10.10.10.1

    DHCP range: 10.10.10.100 of-online 10.10.10.200

  • RV220W - multiple public IP addresses

    All, morning

I am setting up this new router from a client. I'm running on a question that I can't make it work. I was wondering if anyone would be able to help. They use IP addresses public 5. Currently the wan port on the router est.66 and I have all ports forwarded to the correct internal IP. It works very well. However, I need parts before else public IP (e.g. internal:.67) to IP address So far, I was able to achieve through the TAR one-to-one feature. It allows me to forward a port from a public IP address to a private IP address. However, I need to redirect ports 3 or 4 by public IP address to one address only internal. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong here? This router does not support this feature?

    Thank you

    David Rhea

    Hello David,.

How weird to put in place... but the nat from one to the other is the first step that you do. Once you transfer a port using nat one by one, and then you create an access rule. Create an ACL rule allowing traffic between wan and lan, what service/port you transfer, always allowm, fix ip source, destination ip, it's that you transfer the port too you would change the destination of the internet to others and then you should be able to fill the void of what another public address you are wanting to use. The test blank must be labelled internet destination ip:.

I hope that helps you out.

    Thank you

  • ASA 5510 VPN - using a public IP address for the local network

Hello, I have a problem which is probably very simple, but I can't seem to understand.

I set up a site IPsec connection to another with a company, something I've done many times before without a problem. I use ASDM to configure this, because it is quick and painless, usually.

We have one number of other site-to-site currently configured connections and works very well on this ASA, these are configured with the "Protected network - LAN" configured with the IP private of hosts within our network, we want to make available through the separate tunnels. This includes the configuration setting on our ASA for each connection to "guests aside ASA exempt from NAT.

With this new link, however, the company asked us to use a public IP address for the host that we want to achieve through the tunnel. I don't know why, but they demand it. So I added a NAT rule for inside the host and set up the connection with the public IP address under "Local network". During the test to try to reach a host to their side, the tunnel didn't even try to open.

What is the method here? I don't see where I'm wrong. I'm guessing that the 'host side ASA exempt from NAT' does not require for this, how if the ASA would know which internal host is the public IP address.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Leo,

    The steps are:

    1. Add the policy rule NAT for the specific host.

2 - define the IP NAT as your LOCAL NETWORK address in the encryption settings.

3 make sure that there is no rule NAT exempt for this host to the specific destination.

What happens if you run a package tracer?

    Thank you.

  • ASA 5520: SSL VPN by using a different IP address that the ASA public IP address

    Hi guys,.

I'm trying to configure an SSL VPN on a Cisco ASA5520.

Unfortunately port 443 interface OUTSIDE of the SAA is already used by Microsoft Outlook Web Access and I can not change the configuration of Outlook. This configuration already in place allows me to use the public IP address of the ASA as IP Cisco VPN for the Web page.

I don't not want to use a different port so to keep life easy for users.

I have a few available public IPs that I can use so I wanted to use one of them instead of the OUTSIDE of the ASA interface. Any idea how I could do?

    Thank you

    Dario

Unfortunately you can not use any other public ip address, except the ASA outside IP interface to complete the SSL VPN.

The only options that you have is to change the Outlook to use another port or the SSL VPN to use a different port.

  • Deployment of ESA without public IP address

    Hello Experts,

I want to know that if I deploy ESA in my network without public IP address with a config on the SAA as if is there any traffic to port 25, then transmits to the ESA to the Exchange.

I published the public IP address of my firewall in the MX record.

In this scenario, there will be no problem for the ESA to determine the reputation of the sender when you receive an email?

And if ESA is not able to determine the reputation of the sender, then, what is the best way to deploy the ESA without using a public IP address.

I know that 99% of the ESA facilities use a private IP address on the public static listener with NAT on the firewall in front of the ESA. There is nothing wrong with that. Just think that get translated here. This is the destination IP address of the request that comes from the internet and ESA can still see the IP address of the sender. Only your internal mail server does not see the sender-original INVESTIGATION period. But there's nothing in general not as SPAM-check is done, when the mail strikes the internal server.

  • The router RSV4000 does support multiple public IP addresses

I have a client who has a RSV4000 router. The customer also bought a block of 5 usable public IP addresses. Made support for RSV4000 using several treats public IP and if so what configuration is required in the router for printers to be seen by the outside world.

    Hi Winston,

Thank you for posting. The functionality you need is one-to-one NAT, who does not have the RVS4000. Please watch the RV042 or RV220W for this feature.

Is it possible to create a service that will forward the 9010 public port to an internal IP address with port 23?

Order the transfer of UPnP under the configuration table > UPnP tab on the left. Note that UPnP doesn't have to be enabled for the redirection of the function rule.

  • VPN provider that allows only public IP addresses

I need to establish a VPN to a seller who will only allow the public IP address through a VPN.  I need to keep the public IP address of my local network for the safety of political reasons.  I use an ASA 5510 with 8.2 (1) which is connected to a port DMZ on my router 3845.  My main firewall is configured on this router 3845.  ASA firewall does not have its own outside sepereate internet connection a 3845 router/firewall.

This questions is connect the server of the provider (public IP) to my internal server (IP address of RCF - 1918) without having to put to rout the public IP address on my local network. Now, my only solution is to try a double NAT on the router DMZ and ASA at the moment.

    Ideas?

OK, then you need to configure static NAT.

You already have a static NAT configured for your internal server?

If this isn't the case, then simply create static NAT with ACL as follows:

static-server host ip access list permit

public static static-server of access (inside, outside) list

    For the crypto ACL:

    Crypto-acl access-list allowed host ip

  • EBS 12i on Cloud server with the public IP address but no DMZ

    Hello

I installed Oracle EBS in a server (such as AWS EC2) cloud with a public IP address. I'm simply looking for personal learning and knowledge about security risks. As there is no given production safety is not serious at this point.

Also, I don't mean to enter the configurations of the DMZ at the moment.

I am able to access APPS internally under the server on port 8000 with URL http://<server:8000>/OA_HTML/AppsLogin. but I'm unable to access the URL above on internet.

The environment is EBS 12.2.0 on Oracle Linux 5.11.

I tried the options following, but so far without success.

    1. I tried to completely disable the Linux and SELinux firewall on the server. I have also authorized above URL in my personal office. So the 8000 port is not blocked anywhere.

2, I followed this note to try to set it up on port 80, but still without success-> configuration Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 on Amazon Cloud Infrastructure (Doc ID 1205963.1). But you should know that mine isn't on AWS EC2 but similar model.

So simple question is how can I access front-end EBS on internet (DMZ) using port 8000? I do need to update httpd.conf of EBS Webtier (besides point 2 above)?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    See you soon!

  • How simulate correctly a VM with public IP address

Hi I need simulate a computer virtual which is connected to the public Internet with public IP addresses in VMware Workstation but don't know if I'm using appropriate measures.  I did something like this:

    1. Start the virtual network Editor, click Add Network.
    2. When the new network is created (IE VMnet2), I select "Host-only (connect VMs internally in a private network).
    3. Check the box "connect a virtual network adapter.
    4. Assign the corresponding Internet public IP subnet to subnet IP subnet mask fields and.
Note for some reason I'm not able to use anything that does not begin with x.x.x.0.  For example, I am able to use 109.122.105.0 and 255.255.255.0, but not 109.122.105.90 and 255.255.255.248.  If anyone knows why please help us with that as well.
    5. On the virtual machine, I will then edit the hardware settings and assign the network device to VMnet2.

    Issues related to the:

    1. Is - what the right way to say simulating virtual machine running in my PC with public IP addresses?  The goal is to preserve the settings of the virtual machine without changing anything.
    2. Is traffic from my PC targeting this public IP address will be only referred to this VM and not on the Internet?  It seems that it is indeed the case, even when I'm connected to the Internet, but I just want to check if it comes to the way it was designed to work.
    3. Why would network editor virtual allows us only to 109.122.105.0/24 (IE with 255.255.255.0) rather than 109.122.105.90/29 (that is to say with 255.255.255.248)?
    4. Is it possible to visualize the vSwitches and VMnets that are running on my PC?  With vSphere client connected to ESXi, I am able to see how they are visually connected when I click on Configuration of the host and then network.

1.) unless you need to access the virtual machine on the host virtual network adapter, you must create a separate vmnet.

2.) on a single host network traffic will not stay internally. However, creating such vmnet with a virtual map of the host can prevent host access this specific Internet subnet, because traffic is routed internally.

(3.) the appropriate subnet ID in this case is 109.122.105. 29 88(see, for example, http://www.subnet-calculator.com/)

4.) No, nothing that I would like to know of.
