Published in Movie Maker

I did a 5 minute film in Movie Maker with titles and Audio.  Movie playback in the timeline or storyboard table - all right.  When I publish it, it plays for 2.5 minutes, and then I lose the video for the rest of the film.  It turns black.  The issuance and audio playback added to the end. But the videos do not play.  I tried to publish several times and it stops playing at the same place every time.

Thank you for your help.

Assuming that you are talking about Windows Movie Maker, not a 3rd party Director.

Take a look at your video file of 5 min.
What is the file format? The last 3 letters represent the file format.

Windows Movie maker will support only a small handful of video file formats:
Video files: .asf, .avi, .dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv

If you movie file format is not on the list above, you will need to google for a free video converter. No need to buy a. Free will do the job.
Use the converter and change the format of your movie file.
The best and most reliable way to convert is WMV format.

Three possible causes of the failure to save:

    (1) the incompatible source files... (eventually... MPG or MP3)
Sometimes it is useful to disable the filters... Tools / Options /.

Several formats are apparently compatible with

    (2) files source corrupted... the only solution for this would be to

    (3) project is too big or too complex for system resources.

  • What kind of cd/dvd is the best for my video Windows Movie Maker filled and how can I burn it?

OK... I've published my Movie Maker presentation.  It will be presented via a laptop computer and projected.  First of all, what kind of cd/dvd I need?  I know that this information is listed under the HELP section of the Movie Maker program, but what do you propose to help?  AND THEN... How can I do to burn video on cd?  I got to the question re: given dvd vs dvd-video and was confused (sorry... it doesn't take much!).  In my mind, it's a video, but the explanation stated that in this format must then be read via a dvd player.  Finally it can be read that way and it would be nice to have this option, but my goal is now to have played through a computer laptop and projected.  I tried to save it as a video dvd last night, but after almost two hours of "transformation" (my video completed is approximately 3-1/2 minutes), I eventually escape and stop.  Can you guide me through this in simple terms?  Thank you!

  • HP Pavilion a6110n PC stops when you publish movies with Windows Movie Maker

I use Windows Movie Maker to try to "Publish movie" for playback on a computer (creation '. ") WMV files") [200 MB of files created for 15-minute video].  When I run the app, even by itself, with no other applications running, the PC fan starts strong.  If the computer has served for a period of time, the computer will be completely and suddenly close, before ending the video creation.

If I run Movie Maker when you first start up the computer, the machine can finish successfully creating the film without stopping.

I don't know what I need to upgrade or replace.  The CPU is overheating?  Or the video card?  Or both?

If I need to replace the fan, any suggestion would be appreciated.  (I'm talking a CPU fan? Graphics card fan? or what?)

    My PC Specs:

Windows Vista Edition Home Premium SP1

    4 GB memory

    320GB SATA Hard Drive - 40GB available

    AMD 64 x 2 Dual Core processor 4400 + 2.30 GHz

Hi, Yes this video rendering really puts a load on your cpu!  The first thing that comes to mind, and the easiest to fix, is simply clean up the inevitable dust bunnies that accumulate inside the tower.  Have you already checked for that?  If this is not the case, remove the side panel of the tower and clean all the dust, especially around the heatsink from the processor.  Compressed canned air works very well for this.  Here is your product guide that shows how to remove the side panel: a6110n be sure to unplug the power cord from your machine before you start on it!  And let us know what you found.

In addition, I think that you may know this already because you have taken the trouble to include in your listing, but your hard drive is too full.  Vista is a resource hog, memory and available disk space.  He needs a lot of space to work.  And if it doesn't have enough room, it makes your memory and cpu have to work hard.  You ran a disk clean up lately?

Start button-> computer-> right click on drive C: Local-> properties-> click "Disk Cleanup".  A pop-up window appears.  I put a control over everything on the list.  Then click on the 'More Options' tab at the top of this window, look under "system restore and shadow copies ' and click on 'Clean up '.  Which may take several minutes if you have not done before.  When it's finished, go back to the top of this window, click on 'Disk cleanup' and click the 'OK' button at the bottom of the window to remove all the files that you checked.  You must THEN run a defragmentation.

In my opinion, and depending on how much space you freed up with cleaning the disc, you will need to spend at least 50 GB of your data files on this hard drive and maintain.   And then you need to add an additional hard drive to your system.  Many options for this just depends on your exact needs.

in any case, it's my ideas.  If cleaning the dust bunnies and the hard drive does not resolve the problem then perhaps someone else on the forum will be able to helpl with more technical type suggestions.  I think they're going to need additional information about your system, however.  For example, I noticed that you added 2 GB of RAM.  And you mentioned something about a graphics card fan, but your machine came with integrated graphics.  Also added a video card?  If so, exactly what video card do you have installed and have you also changed the power supply?  Any other changes to your machine to factory specifications?

  • Why did did you publish 2.6 of Movie Maker for Vista and not for XP?

Hey Microsoft, I want to ask U! Why did did you publish 2.6 of Movie Maker for Vista and not for XP?

    Hello

Movie Maker 2.6 is for Windows Vista users whose computer cannot run the Vista's Movie Maker version. However if you want to upgrade the Movie maker for Windows XP you can try to download Windows live essentials.

Windows Live Essentials includes seven major programs Windows Live to help you stay in touch with the people you care most, edit and share your photos, blog, browse, search, and help your kids safer online. Programs include Windows Live Messenger, Mail, Writer, photo library, Family Safety, toolbar, and Movie Maker and Outlook Connector, Office Live Add-in and Microsoft Silverlight.

I use Windows Movie Maker c. 5.1. (Build 2600) on a computer running Windows XP Professional 2002, SP 3. I try to publish a movie file which is a revised version of a WMV file. In other words, the original file is a file WMV is 534 MB.  I am editing the film by dividing and by deleting scenes, adding transitions and titles.  I am able to save the file (for a WMM file) but impossible to publish the movie.  I checked that (i) the files are in the correct location, (ii) the file does not exceed the limit of 4 GB, (iii) the destination does not exist (I tried everything from my desktop to video files).  I tried every possible resolution and the file type.

I would change the software of movie at this point if I had not invested so much energy and time behind this project.  Help, please!

    Hello not happy with WMM,

You get an error message when you try to publish?  If so, what is it?

One thing you might try is breaking your video into 3 or 4 smaller sections and see if they work / will be published separately.

  • Windows Movie Maker Publish Movie

    Hello

I spent hours creating a first year at the video in Windows Movie Maker for my son's birthday tomorrow. I can't publish it on the computer or on a DVD. I'm on a Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit system. I imported AVI and MPG video from a FLIP camera and a Sony digital video camera. I've also embedded JPG photos and audio (from iTunes and Amazon MP3). The total playback time for (in the storyboard table) is a little more than 15 minutes. I am using transitions. I have a lot of hard drive space, close to 30 GB free. I have successfully used my DVD burner in the past... and even with success created a Windows Movie Maker Movie and engraved on a DVD in the past... but this 'film' contained only a video and then just a bunch of pictures.

First of all, I tried to post my new project on the computer but she never completed. I left it overnight and it was still stuck at 20% (or almost) in the morning. Then, I tried DVD edition that opens Windows DVD maker. Yet once it never ends... it gets stuck anywhere from 1.2% to 68.4% with each try... even if it has slowly increased in percentage with each test.

I tried to uncheck all filters under Tools-> Options and actually got a DVD to burn, but all the. Videos AVI were black. The filters that I need to leave for. AVI files continue to work? I also replaced all the music from iTunes with music WMA format files and try to burn another. Now it is stuck again at 67.5%, and I'm guessing that it never ends.

What should I do to get this published thing? I am so disappointed and frustrated... I have hours invested in this thing.

Looks like your project is too complex... and
It is also possible that one or more of your source
files is not completely compatible with Movie Maker.
Sometimes, it can help if you remove transitions.

Movie Maker, but the most reliable choices are:

  • Black screen in movies published using Windows Movie Maker

I used Movie Maker successfully in the past, but when I try to publish my last movie, the screen goes black in half way through the final film. The audio is not yet, but there is no video.

I don't think it's a codec issue, I've created many other movies that play with success and I didn't do anything differently this time. Source clips are in .avi format - as they have always been in the past.

I've seen many other people reporting this problem on various forums, but no one has offered a viable solution. One person mentioned with audio mute on the clips, but none of my videos have their audio muted.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the suggestion, but as I said, I did this several times without any problems before using exactly this type of file format, so I don't think it's a compatibility issue. And the film works very well for the first half, using clips with the same format from the same source, then why don't the compatibility cut to half way through?

My guess is that it has something to do with the number of clips in the movie - Movie Maker is just panicking because there are too many things to deal with. I've got round in cutting the film into two halves, publishing the two halves, in re-importing them in Movie Maker, and then stirching support them all. This is not the solution the more satsifactory, but at least it works.

  • Windows Movie Maker will not publish my movie on my computer

I tried to post this video to my computer from Windows Movie Maker. The video is long, only 42 seconds, so I doubt that there is a problem of length.
