Push BlackBerry: Application accessories server-side

Hi all

I want to know the application requirements on the server side.

  1. I have a few Notifications in my application.
  2. My application to retrieve some webservices data after a specific interval or manual traction (update).
  3. These data are in the form of JSON, I have to analyze and then use it to display the notification to my application.
  4. Now, if I change the 'Blackberry Push Notifications' draw, what changes should I make to the coast server.
  5. If I'm right, I'll have to make an application Java server-side. Besides, this application will contact My Web services to extract the required data. After obtaining the data, this application will push data (along the device PIN who need push Notification to be sent) PPG by configuring Push service SDK.

"Please erase me if I'm wrong.."

Uptill I did :

  1. I'm registered for Push Notification by completing the evaluation form to push Blackberry. And waiting for response from the RIM.
  2. Downloaded the SDK of Service Push v1.1.0 and installed successfully.

as I have already said, push a short message and allow the client to remove the data.
Push is to inform, not necessarily to put all the data on the device.

  • Application has permissions to add/file server-side streams

    I installed the FMS on Linux.  I'm trying to record video from webcam to a flex application and save them server side, to a possible posting to YouTube.

    I installed the 'live' application in the path "record".  In my flex code, I do:

    NC. Connect ("rtmp://ipaddr.us-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com/live/record");

    It connects very well, so I have:

    NS. Publish ("camtest", "record");

    It fails with NetStream.Record.NoAccess.  Server side, he said

    Accepts a connection from IP:xx.xx.xx.xx, sponsor:, pageurl:
    Application does not have permissions to add/file server-side streams; access denied to the camtest stream.

    I have LIVE_DIR in my conf/fms.ini file in/mnt/live.  This directory exists and is writable, so I'm not sure what's going on.  Are there any other permission that I'm missing?  Is it just the wrong application?  That you used for registration of netstream?

    Thank you

    Hello

    Since you are using the developer version, you should be able to record. Just check the permission of the directory of the application that you created. Make sure you have permission to write to it.

    Thank you

  • The use and the importance of pushing blackBerry SDK

    Hello

    As far as the Service of Blackberry Push has been revealed, I studied the documentation about this feature and fell on several issues:

    1 BB Push SDK. Is it correct to say that the main purpose of this framework is to help you efficiently create game server side of your app to push. There are certain requirements to the development environment as described in the docs (container servlet, RDBMS, java). But what happens if I run a .net Server, for example? Or other than those of java technology. Does that mean that I could not be able to use the SDK?

    2 the party push SDK is required to write the push application? Or I can write and manage https post request from PPG (BlackBerry Infrastructure) on mine?

    Could someone tell me please those moments!

    Thanks in advance.

    Of Push BlackBerry SDK is provided as a way to help a developer to create the game apply to push server-side.  If you use the SDK to push, the application server-side will have to be created in Java.

    However, you can create the server of a request to push in any language you like if you're using another IDE side.

  • server-side code please

    Hi all

    Y at - it applications server-side with java, I need a code example please

    Yes, if you download the Push Service SDK there is the Java source code for the sample application on the server side. Of course he uses the SDK API that hide the details raw, but it shows you how to start building a server push sample application using the SDK side

  • do not start the service push sample application

    Hi all, I have downloaded and installed the v1.0.0.5 BlackBerry Push Service SDK and tried to install it based on the Quick Start Guide. The first problem was that I couldn't start the Tomcat. After I double-clicked start.bat, I just a blank command window, open for 1-2 seconds and immediately close. I never had the same problem with another application using Tomcat, and can be resolved by using my own installation of Tomcat program. So I do the same thing, I use my own installation of Tomcat program. After that, I get the Tomcat service, but only service non-secure (http), not its secure (https) service. But I think that is not the problem, as long as I can still access it. Then I deploy the sample application (war file: debug-portal, sample-app and pushsdk) to my Tomcat and try to start it. I've got to start the Debug-Portal and pushsdk only, no-sample application. When I tried to start the sample application, I got this message: FAIL - the context path/sample-app Application could not be started, I searched this forum and have had almost similar problem. But those who wrote the display had the problem that all applications could not be started. And he found that it was caused by application_id. He forgot to put the id of the application during installation. I put my application_id (even if it's just false application id, 123456789012345). Can someone help me? How can I install and run the sample application? Thank for any help. PS. I use Windows Server 2003, Tomcat 6.0.20, Oracle 10 g and there's a Glassfish server on my pc (but it was off when I try this push-service application example). Best regards, Novan Ananda

    Well Yes... I forgot to enter the app_id on sample-app - context.xml. all applications work now.

  • Extremely confused with the extremely complicated presentation of BlackBerry applications

    Please help me, I'm very confused with the extremely complicated presentation of BlackBerry applications.

    I made an app, the name is "App", I got signed and downloaded the App using the emulator Ripple, with the word 'HelloWorld' signature (password not true of course).

    Now, I do another application, with the name of the App (B) I CAN'T use the same HelloWorld signature password because the emulator Ripple said "Oh, Snap!" Build request failed with the message: [ERROR] error: Code signing request failed because this version of the application or the package has been previously signed. If please increment the version (s) and try to connect again. »

    Now, I don't understand and I am EXTREMELY confused with the presentation of the model of application for Blackberry.

    I should first request, for an another RDK and COMINCO files create a new signature for App B password?

    Or should I just increment the bundle version? the problem is when I tried it on Blackberry server seems to give narrations of error message that the APP ID is already used.

    Okay, I'm officially stuck and I don't know what to do. Can any developer of blackberry here or the official employee blackberry tells me what I need to do?

    Thank you.

    I do not use ripple either but can see what the problem is (nothing to do with the ripple)

    Open your file config.xml for the new project (probably copied 'App A'?)

    In the widget section, change the id to something different, for example com.example.AppB

    Save - reload the ripple and make sure you have the new ID in the Config-> Widget

    All sorted

  • Support for using postgresql since blackberry application

    Hello

    I'm a newbe in the blackberry application development.

    I want to connect to the database to postgresql since my blackberry app.

    To do this, I get the jar of postgresql.

    But I am not getting full java support in blackberry for the connection to the Postgresql.

    So, if someone with the idea.

    Pls let me know how can I connect to postgresql.

    Thanks in advance,

    bskania.

    Welcome to the BlackBerry Java forum.

    I assume that you got a pot that will interface between Java and postgre, except if it has been written specifically FRO BlackBerry devices, then it will not work on BlackBerry unfortunately.  The code that I suspect you've got will only work on Java SE environments, not Java ME.

    The usual solution to this kind of problem is to write a middleware application, that supports http requests from BlackBerry converts it to the required SQL, executes the SQL, then the data for transmission back to the Blackberry formats.  This kind of solution is required for all databases, unless you buy a middle ware product that has already been built - and the only one that I have a conscience is the Sybase offers to iSQLAnywhere.    You will find other peoples comments if you search in the forum, I suggest you search for "SQL Server".

    Good luck.

  • Publication of files on the server side is not visible!

    Hello

    I post an image of a device using the following code:

    PNGEncoder encoder = new PNGEncoder(bit, true);
    byte[] imageBytes = encoder.encode(true);

    connection = (HttpConnection)Connector.open("url");
                connection.setRequestMethod(HttpConnection.POST);
                connection.setRequestProperty("Content-Language", "en-US");
                connection.setRequestProperty("Content-Type", "multipart/form-data");
                connection.setRequestProperty(HttpProtocolConstants.HEADER_CONTENT_LENGTH, String.valueOf(imageBytes.length));

    OutputStream os = connection.openOutputStream();
    String newLine = "\r\n";
    String contDisp="Content-Disposition:form-data; name=\"Image.jpg\";filename=\"Image.jpg\"";
    String contEnc = "Content-Transfer-Encoding: binary";
    String type="Content-Type:image/jpeg";
    os.write(contDisp.getBytes());
    os.write(newLine.getBytes());
    os.write(type.getBytes());
    os.write(newLine.getBytes());
    os.write(contEnc.getBytes());
    os.write(newLine.getBytes());
    os.write(imageBytes);
    os.flush();

    int responseCode = connection.getResponseCode();
    if(responseCode != HttpConnection.HTTP_OK){
        connection.close();
        Dialog.alert("Status: "+String.valueOf(responseCode));
    }

    The POST request works very well, but I can't get the file on the server side. The application has no file as an attachment, what am I doing wrong?

    Thank you

    You are not set or a border for the body in several part. In addition, the content-length header is supposed to be the length in bytes of the entire body, including the part headers. I'm surprised that the server isn't hard to refer a complaint.

    Do you need to send this as a request for several part? Looks like you send just a single file. Try to assign the image/jpeg content type and write the bytes of the image in the output stream, with no header.

    PNGEncoder encoder = new PNGEncoder(bit, true);byte[] imageBytes = encoder.encode(true);

    connection = (HttpConnection)Connector.open("url");connection.setRequestMethod(HttpConnection.POST);connection.setRequestProperty(HEADER_CONTENT_TYPE, CONTENT_TYPE_IMAGE_JPEG);connection.setRequestProperty(HEADER_CONTENT_LENGTH, String.valueOf(imageBytes.length));

    OutputStream os = connection.openOutputStream();os.write(imageBytes);os.close(); // not just flush()

    int responseCode = connection.getResponseCode();if(responseCode != HttpConnection.HTTP_OK){    connection.close();    Dialog.alert("Status: "+String.valueOf(responseCode));}

    (If you declare your class as long as HttpProtocolConstants of execution, you can use the names unqualified as I did here).

    If you need the file sideways name server, I would send it as additional path added to the URL info.

  • Problems of Smartphones from blackBerry to Blackberry App World Server connection

    I got a new Storm2 9550 and some of my applications didn't work properly when transferred from my Storm 9530. Among them Blackberry App world gives me the error:

    BlackBerry App World is having problems connecting to the Blackberry App World Server. Check your network connections, and then try again.

    I downloaded and reinstalled app world several times that I can count to no effect. I rebooted my phone, returned my service books and re-entered my THS several times, and it's not helping.

    Help, please. I need to reinstall some of the apps I got go to app world and I can't do it until the app world features.

    In fact, I understood the question myself. Apparently when it is attached to the WIFI, Blackberry App World does not want to connect. When WIFI is off (or out of range) and I use Verizon EVDO network, App World works fine. The RIM should be looking at why App World will not work on a WIFI connection.

  • ActionScript for connections server-side HTTP Streaming, is it supported?

    Hi, I have an actionscript application working for RTMP, server-side and I would like to reuse this code for HTTP connections.

    Is this possible?

    What you can do is to write your own apache module, which is going to be some queries and appropriate to create http responses as well as communicate to the rtmp server separately.

  • Client/server JavaFX, how FX can do server-side?

    So I am ultimately design a client/server application. Now, I'm curious to know how FX itself can do.

    I know that Java EE is the server side of the platform, while that for the client side (right or...?) so I was curious to know how FX fits inside, just like a RIA (Rich Internet Application).

    I have seen examples such as the application of DataApp that uses the resources of the ERA with JavaFX, so I'm curious to know how, if any, limitations exist for FX.

    The reason I ask is because I'm trying to know where to start with EE and there is so much information it is overwhelming, and I have no idea where to start. It seems that there are a ton of "JSR" for different tasks, and I don't know exactly what I need and that, so I'm really confused: (all.

    Any ideas of how I should go about it would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Ignore the JSR for now.

    Follow the JavaEE tutorial.
    http://docs.Oracle.com/javaee/6/tutorial/doc/

    The answers to many of your questions will be clear to you when you've completed the tutorial.
    -----------------
    I also like the tutorials here (they are a little dated, but still topical for most as the core of JEE6 specifications that the tutorial relies on have been released 5 years ago and JEE7 has yet to be published).
    https://Schuchert.wikispaces.com/EJB+3+and+Java+Persistence+API
    ------------
    zonski has a targeted spring + javafx tutorial if you prefer to learn and to use spring than JEE (they are different technologies, which cover roughly the same functional game):
    http://www.zenjava.com/series/building-JEE-applications-in-JavaFX-2-0/
    -----------------
    JavaFX is a setting aside of client, so there is not a lot that you would do with it on the side server.
    ----------------

    It seems that there are a ton of "JSR" for different tasks, and I don't know exactly what I need and that, so I'm really confused all

    Nobody needs JEE, just use the pieces that you want that are a good target for any project you do - do not try to use everything at once.
    Many things can be learned and used on its own.

  • Quick Guide to FMS server-side?

    Are there examples very simple to write an app to hello world on FMS, which is accessed from Flex?  Something as simple as a Flex application stitching a custom FMS application and a response from the server-side ActionScript would be great.  I looked all through the documentation, and it seems to be lacking.
