Push intermittent Corporate sync email

Hi all

I had my Droid2 since the launch day and I got some weird results with corporate sync for email. My organization using Exchange 2007 and at the beginning, all seemed well. All my email/contacts/events sync would be perfectly

Later that day I noticed that my Outlook Inbox was sometimes emails a lot before my Droid2. I should have to go to the emails on the Droid for it to be launched in the synchronization. Sometimes the delay was more than 15 minutes (I had a delay of more than 4 hours). I made that 'push' has been selected and even reinstalled all count in total sync.

Then I went to install a 30 - day trial of touchdown. Push STILL work to the touchdown. 50% of the time I get an email pushed both affected and corporate sync almost instantly. The other 50% of the time, hit Gets the push and corporate sync it will get 15 minutes - 4 hours later.

Does anyone else have this problem? I would like to use the native email client, but it seems buggy.

Problem solved here was the difficulty go in Active Directory users and computers on the Exchange Server, enabled advanced to the 'View' menu options, open the properties of my account, clicked on the 'Security' tab, then the button "Advanced", scroll down to "Exchange Server" 'Special' permissions entry and click the "include permissions inheritable' toggle to turn it on. Then apply, then open a command prompt and type the command gpupdate/force to force the update of the policy.

  • Droid 2 Corporate Sync will not accept a ".local" domain

I have a Droid 2 & I'm trying to sync it with my Exchange Server to work through the VPN. (It is not possible to make owa Exchange server accessible from the internet, there are simply too many complications of security). I have install the VPN connection successfully, but I can't get corporate Sync access to the account.

When I put in the name of the server ("server.workdomain.local") I get the error "the server address must be properly formatted." and cannot continue. I tried 'server', 'server.workdomain.local', 'http://server.workdomain.local', 'http://server.workdomain.local/owa/', '10.0.X.X '... (ad nauseum) I tried to use ASTRO to change the host file (to redirect server.workdomain.com to the IP address), but it is read-only.

Am I missing something? (Fiancé always tells me that I am a little dense!) Motorola excluded ".local" as a domain name valid? Is it possible to connect to Exchange for email (pop, imap, etc.) I don't know? I want to really just send and receive e-mail for my Exchange account.

I 'm the it Department (it's a small business), so I don't have anyone to go to ask (other than you).

Thanks for any help that anyone can provide!

    -Jim

I think I found the reason of this problem. It is my understanding that the current setting of exchange for the Droid 2 does not accept a longer three-character domain name. This will be corrected in a future update, but I can't give you a timetable on it today. Sorry for the inconvenience!

  • Impossible to reinstall Corporate Sync for Exchange

    Yes-

Policies of the Exchange can be set to require a password, and a few other security features. It is based on policies created, and what strategies are applied to your mailbox.

That's the advantage of touchdown (not enough of an IMO) - with the touchdown, only the Touchdown application is password protected leaves your system if you wish.

I think you indicated that you had Admin Access on your Exchange Server. Follow the steps here:

I did nothing different that I hadn't done all 14 other times but it worked. Now, my original problem, wanting to have no securty features turned on, is back because it made me create a PIN number during the account setup. I can't remove the PIN because the "None" option on the Screen Unlock Security page is once again grayed out.If there is a policy on our Exchange 2007 server tat prevents me from turning security (the PIN) off, no one seems to know how to edit it. Any ideas?

    Hello

    OTA = Over The Air

If you do not receive your email OTA, then you can not also reconcile via USB and DTM attach... That is why it is grayed out. How send therefore reconciles / synchronizes (against the mail server) will be governed by the Ko I linked above. You need USB/DTM to synchronize your Contacts, calendar, etc., because they are not sync OTA (unless you're on Enterprise BES).

    Best!

  • Sync Email blackBerry Smartphones feature grayed out in the Desktop Manager

Just installed Desktop Manager V4.6.0.12. For synchronization messages is greyed out.  No problem of synchronization of calendar and contacts.  How to synchronize my Outlook email?  Thanks in advance.

If you are on a personal account of BIS (not a BES) you will not have the function to synchronize or to reconcile messages and mail.

This function occurs wirelessly with BES.

The rash is send and receive emails through this new e-mail account, but on all address on the phone fields, it shows my old email account Details. When you ride through the icon of primary e-mail on the home screen it presents as the old address of e-mail "djl123...". "not my new"d.lucke... • Corporate e-mail Sync problem

I had a corporate sync problem, but it was because of my corporate email Exchange Server - nothing to do with the unit of Motorola or the Android 2.2 platform.

I found corp email sych to cause problems. Several times, it has just stopped working. Sometimes, I get the warning symbol saying that there is a problem. Other times, it just is there and can't get new messages and sends no mail in the Outbox. There is usually a snake of spinning in the corner, which suggests that he expects something to happen seems to be blocked.

All the time that what happens, my iPad is synchronization of the same exchange server without any problems.

Yesterday, when the phone is in mode, I turned off and he took the synchronization when I powered it upward.

It's just one of the many issues that I have with the phone which makes it unreliable to use for business.

  • No notification of corporate email after the update to 2.3 gingerbread

I received yesterday the OTA Gingerbread update for my Droid X. I no longer receive company e-mail notifications in my notification bar. I checked e-mail and "notifications" settings are checked, but it still does not work. I need to open my email app everytime, wait that he freshen and ping the server for new messages. This is the same bug that has been captured in the lightning before the Froyo update. It seems that gingerbread. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I could solve the problem. I deleted my account synchronization coporate my DroidX and then added it and am now receive notifications. My Inbox shows now 'background' as a synchronization option according to which front it showed "manual". It must be a bug related to the upgrade of gingerbread. If you experience the same problem (lack of automatic synchronization and notifications), try reinstalling your corporate sync account. It worked for me.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 2nd REQUEST! -9530 storm - sync issue w/emails

    Hi all

When I use on my Blackberry Destop Manager synchronization.  I noticed that the 'sync email' button is grayed.  It does allow me to choose this option.  There are other options like addressbook, Contacts, etc.  Is there something I'm missing?  I would like to be able to sync my bb with my emails - so that everything what I'm typing on my bb is in my e-mail accounts, and each time I type something on my email accounts, it appears on my bb as well.  Had a situation where I needed to access a mail I sent my email accounts on my computer and that he was not able to access it through my bb - had to wait until I got home to make it... What a waste.  The reconcile 'now' doesn't seem to work on my bb.  Can someone please?  Thnx a lot for your help.

A quick search of the site would be turned to the top of your answer, replied here several times.

You use a personal account from BIS. BIS do not reconcile mail and messages, accounts, contacts, calendar, notes and tasks. The button is grayed out because balance messages isn't an option on your account. Basically, the command to reconcile now does nothing, so, on your account.

For reconciliation to complete e-mail, you will need a BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Service) account.

On google, the choice #2 for the question "what is the difference between BIS and BES.
