When I go to help and support, I've seen where it will take me to something in Office 2007 even if you ask the computer to find or search, he says that's not there.
Hi windy-54,-What do you mean when you say "everything on the left side of the screen disappeared and all programs not recover"? Put the ID attributes on all nodes
Hello
I have a similar to the following XML
< root >
< elem >
< subElem >
< / subElem >
< / elem >
< elem >
< subElem >
< / subElem >
< subElem >
< / subElem >
< / elem >
< / root >
I'm putting a lot of 'Id' attributes on each item for easy access. I want a result similar to
< root >
< elem id = "1" >
< subElem id = "1" >
< / subElem >
< / elem >
< elem id = "2" >
< subElem id = "1" >
< / subElem >
< subElem id = "2" >
< / subElem >
< / elem >
< / root >
"So I can't access the second"sub"in the second /root/elem/@id="2"/sub/@id="2 item.
You have no way to put this attributes "Id" using XQuery or another way. I prefer a non programmatic method (that is, using Oracle, not Java).
I tried with the function this way InsertChildXML
Update xmlTable
Set insertChildXML = xmlField (xmlField, ' / root//*','@id','nothing');
It works, but how can I put the Id numbers for each element and each subitem?
Another way is to use XQuery, but now I get poor results.
Any help?
Thank you.

Published by: jdhernandez on Sep 2, 2009 08:28Without knowing all the details of why you are trying to add an attribute id, beyond the 'easy access', why not just use an XPath like
/ root/elem [2] / subElem [2]
Instead of
/root/elem/@ID="2"/sub/@ID="2".My Xpath using XML, said to get the second subElem in the second comp in the root node. This is in agreement with what your application, on the assumption that nothing reorganizes the XML during your treatment.

While I'm working in an application program, it seems that certain keystroke (s) (shortcut keys I'm not aware and not intention to use?) causes my cursor jump to the top of the page and getting stuck there. When I scroll or page down to go to the point where I want my cursor to continue working and entering text or data, it doesn't let me do; it jumps to the top of the page. Simualtaneously, if I try to solve the problem by making CTRL + G to go to a page says, the view goes to very large print (more than 100%) as soon as I hit him CTRL and that's all that happens. It often happens in Word and when it happens there, it does also in my e-mail and Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer software. I havde printed the list of keyboard shortcuts to see if I can detect what I do when typing that can cause, but so far I have not been able to know what could be. I don't see any description of this type of behavior associated with any shortcut key; and I don't know what keys are causing it (by time, it starts to occurring at that I don't know what type, I used maybe inadvertently). Someone on my team to support the University suggested that maybe it's my mouse; I changed my mouse and it's the same thing. The only thing is that I've not seen what pops up is when I use the ball of keyboard to navigate (not the mouse); Since I ususally only dispenses with the mouse by send away from home, I'm not even sure that it won't happen that way either. M HERE to loss. It is very annoying since I have to close the file, I'm trying to stop the behavior. and sometimes it will not even do this, I have to open a session

After connection to the computer, the error message "the entry point of procedure kernel32. IdnToAscii is not found in the library of dynamic links Normaliz.dll' appears. The screen saver appears with no toolbar or visible programs.
Hi Russ438,
1. did you of recent changes on the computer?
2 when was the last time it was working fine?
3. are you able to boot in windows?
Normaliz.dll is a system file in Windows XP operating systems.
I suggest that scan you SFC on the computer that would be a system file corrupt on the computer search and replace.
The analysis may take some time, so be patient. Windows allows to fix corrupt or missing files it finds. If the information of the installation CD is required to fix the problem, you may be asked to insert your Windows XP installation CD.

I reintalled 3 times for CS6, but the default program associated with the jpg file is always unknown application.
I try to change the default program, I see the photoshop cs6 icon in the Adobe program folder.
But just can be selected.
I recommend you contact Support Adobe for this playing with registry is very dangerous, that your computer may crash.
Still if you want to try, first create system restore point and backup of your registry, just in case something goes wrong.
In regedit: go to Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications and find your .exe name.
Sail under its name of shell > open > order. In the default change its location to the actual location of the executable file, press OK and then try and reassociate the file type as you normally would.

Cleaning of all programs on the start menu
I'm going from XP to 7. In the start menu > all programs listing all downloaded programs is listed. Under XP I could go to "documents and settings", create folders and put the files listed in all programs into separate folders. It resulted in very few files containing the downloaded files. For example, I got the files listed as 'Business', 'Security', 'Internet' etc. How to do this in 7 so that my ALL PROGRAMS list is first files and downloaded programs. I hope I have made myself clear... Thank you
There are two places where the start menu programs .
For a particular user where where programs installed to be used by this user look in:
C:\Users\
\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs For all users look in:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start start\program
NOTE: AppData and ProgramData are hidden files.

Original title: Start Menu, all programs
I don't know how but my Start menu, all programs have an extension .lnk instead of the extension which actually would allow me to open the program itself. Don't know how it happened but I have been looking for a solution for more than a year now, and I'm not about to find an answer. Don't know what to short to bring it to Best Buy and watch it with a geek. Can someone point me in the right direction and tell me how to get the menu start original, all programs back to the way they should be? Thank you
The start menu (including all the components of the menu in all programs) are generally shortened. LNK files. It is hard to tell from your description, but you can experience a bad file association with the. LNK shortcuts. Take a look at the following article of the local and my solution to see if it fits your situation.
Can someone tell me please how to fix programs icon who turned into VLC player?

all programs changed to .lnk files
I am running xp sp3. something has changed all my program files for the extension .lnk files. I ran the exe and lnk patches, but programs are always formatted .lnk. When I try to re - load the program (ex: iTunes) it appears as iTunes.lnk in the start menu. I ran two different virus scans, having found nothing. Help, please. I need my dos programs.
Well, I came across the solution. Something had removed my (?) application EXE file. I went to my computer, click Tools > folder options > file types. EXE was not in the list of registered file types. I added EXE as 'new', click on 'Advanced' and check 'application' on the associated file type. THAT FIXED! All my desktop icons and all the files in the toolbar to start "all programs" are back to normal.

Location of "all programs."
I would like to know the location of data "all programs" so that it can be printed (in my case by the printer of Karen directory).
Hello
Thanks for asking!
You want to know the location of the data to programs.
Are you referring to the data for the programs installed?
If so, the location is \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data.
The Documents and Settings folder will be in the drive where Windows is installed (usually drive C).
If you need assistance or if you have problems of Windows in the future, let us know and we would be happy to help you.

How to make "all programs" in 4 columns instead of 3
I use XP SP3 and available to the normal 3 columns for 'all programs' is overloaded. So how do we "all programs" in 4 columns instead of 3? I'm sure that there is only a tweak in the registry for this, but can't find it.
I'm not sure what you mean by "overloaded". The "All programs" list includes additional columns as additional entries are created.
As far as I KNOW, you have two options: you can have a column that scrolls (which I find hard to believe that anyone actually wants), or you can group entries of all programs into subcategories so that there are fewer entries in the main list of all programs.
To scroll through all programs:
- Right-click on the Start button, and then select Properties
- In the "Start Menu" tab, click on the button "Customize".
- If you use the XP menu, click the Advanced tab (no advanced for the "classic Start menu" tab)
- Select "Scroll programs" in the Start Menu items list
All programs group in subcategories
The list of all programs is just a collection of "shortcuts" - that is, links to these programs themselves real. These shortcuts are stored in one of two special folders:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Menu run\programs
C:\Documents and Settings\\Start Menu\Programs Using Windows Explorer, you can create new subfolders in one of these two files and move there (not copy) the applicable subfolder shortcuts. Note: you can easily open two special folders by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting "Open ' or explores]" and "open [or explore] all users."
