Put the pictures side by side in a new image
Hello
In my program, I had two (each 400 x 400 px) images I want to combine them into a single image (and save it on the disk).
To do this, I extracted the image data and table construction allows to create a new image Board.
Then I create a new image with dimensions 0,0-800 400 and use the new table of image as input data.
The image is saved to the disk, but the two original images underneath the other.
I would like to have them side by side, but I don't know how to do this.

There are two ways to leave the photo functions to do the work for you. The most effective is to change the rectangle of the second image, but the code to change this to that and add this to it's a bit ugly, so I take the easy this time, but suggest that you write a little Subvi to simply move the rectangle. You can choose side by side, on top, add padding, etc.

I'm doing the following with a large amount of images named by chronological order:
-duplicate a layer
-Move to the right by the amount of its width
-change its source of layer so the image is in order:
[1] [2] [3] [4]
The first image is called "IMG_1.jpg", the next "IMG_2.jpg" etc.
So far, I found a way to move the layer duplicated to the right using this expression:
thisComp.layer(index+1).transform.position + width
Now I just need a way to define the source of the layer count + 1, also in a way like this:
source. Name = IMG_ '+ 1'.jpg

To replace a layer with another source you select the layer in the timeline panel, and then select the new source in the project Panel, then hold down the Alt/Option key and drag the replacement layer to the project in the timeline panel and release the mouse button. All you have to do is to get the replacement layer anywhere in the timeline and it will replace the selected layer and take all of the properties of the layer.
There is no way to do it automatically with an expression, but you can write a script that would replace all your layers at a time.

I would probably approach this problem by selecting all images in the project Panel and then select new Composition of selected, then select single composition, then use the Panel align to align the images, and then animate the first image and the rest of the images to one of the parents.
Perhaps even better option to create a file in Photoshop or Illustrator layered with all elements lined up, imports a model and then use the trick of parenting.
If you need compensate animations so things are moving a layer at a time, then I would like to animate the first layer, create a preset, and then move the CTI to the start time of the next layer and apply the preset animation.

I imported the photos from my camera to my computer and saved in a folder in my pictures. When I go into my photos and do turn and then try saving the picture, it says "you cannot rotate this image. The file may be used or open in another program or file or folder can be set to read only. "I have tried many and repeatedly edit the files and folders to uncheck Read-only, but it keeps changing its property back to read-only. I also know that the file is not open or in use anywhere on my computer. Okay, it looks like that your camera records the files in write protected files.
1. There should be settings on your cam to stop recording pictures like "non-indexed.
2. but right now, try this:Right click on image > click Properties > click on advanced > check / uncheck the ' Index
This file / folder...' option (should be the second option)
Click OK > click on apply.
and you'll see it disappear / appearYou can do this for all the photos (hold down the ctrl key while selecting to choose several files at once)

Must resize them (per eyeball) after they are inserted

Where are the pictures on my SE live?
I recently bought a new self and - of course - was playing with Live Photos.
Looking at photos taken recently on my phone, I'm a bit confused by the fact that there is no way to distinguish between those who are Live Photos. It is a little better on my Mac in Photos, since the circle of "Live pictures" at the bottom left. But you can only see it if you're looking full size photos.
Seeing him Live Photos are great, and that people can watch for a while and then later remove them to save space, I do not understand why Apple doesn't make it easy to find them in the pictures on the Mac. Or has to do a smart folder to find them.
And surely, it is not true that it is impossible at all find them on my iPhone SE?
Am I missing something fundamental here? Or Apple simply cannot have quite right?

Hello! On the iPhone IS (as well as any iPhone capable of Live picture), the Live pictures are not automatically put in a separate album. Live photos, that you have taken will be in your album "All Photos". Also, the only way to find a direct photo is click on an image and then scroll your individual pictures. When you arrive on a Live Photo, you'll see it move when you scroll over it.
This may all be a bit frustrating, it can be useful if you create a new album especially for live pictures then and just manually put the pictures in there. I hope this helps!

Normally, a cache system works best when it is on another drive of source files. This means that you would normally like the LR catalog + cache on a separate disk from the original images.
I put the pictures on the 2 TB drive.
The 500 GB SSD seems to be a reasonable place for the catalogue and the cache, but I don't know enough about SSDS to talk about the frequent updates of file that will happen with the catalogue.

If this fails, click on the workspace name in the upper right. Essentials - for example. A drop down menu opens. Select "Reset Essentials".
Reset works when you make a mess of the space working wonders and want everything back in place.
