PXI chassis not found after reboot host

I use a chassis SMU-1073, Win7 and Labview 12.0f3 on the host. After a restart of the host, MAX is unable to find the frame and I need to reboot the host. Rebooting usually works, but often it is necessary to power down of the PXI chassis too. It is very tedious and time-consuming. There must be a way to simply restart the driver (single) and set things right after a restart of the host. Thanks for your help!

Hi bjuberchaub,

Let's see what crossrulz has to say about the race condition, but the situation you have described above does not sound like a driver problem.

Regarding "if I cycle power on the chassis and try to reconnect", we recommend strongly cyclical food your chassis when your computer is turned on.  It is the equivalent to remove a PCI (e) card on a desktop while it is running. It can cause permanent damage to your system.

The reboot sequence appropriate must be:

  1. Turn off the power to the host
  2. Disable the chassis
  3. Turn on chassis
  4. Turn on the host

Never do anything with your chassis power when your computer is turned on.

Given that:

  1. I'd be interested to see what looks like your Windows Device Manager when the steps above are followed.  Do you see unknown devices?
  2. The LINK is clear on the chassis power?  Is what color?
  3. This configuration never before without this behavior?

If I misunderstood your comment about cyclical diet and you just follow the steps I have outlined above, I would be interested in getting answers to questions 1 and 2 when your system is in a State of non-working (e.g. restart you computer without rebooting the chassis).

Kind regards

  • "the file is not found" after apple update.

"the file is not found" after apple update.  Before the update, I've drag only the pictures I want to edit iPhoto to lightroom and change them.  However, after I upgraded apple iPhoto photos, there is no connection between my modified pictures and lightroom and I get the above message. I know where the photos are (in the content of the packaging of my iPhoto library).  However, when I try to find photos by clicking on the exclamation mark (on the thumbnail of the photo) which means that the photo can be found, I can't open the iPhoto package content.  does anyone have a solution?

I recommend that remove you the Photos app entirely.

File > PlugIn options... > import from iPhoto.

However. If you want to continue to manage with Photos AND Lightroom, you can create an alias of the Masters record (in the package contents) and place it in a suitable place. Lightroom will be able to see this file in the import dialog box.

Locate one of the images that is missing and it should be able to locate the others.

  • Photoshop CS6 not found after downloading and putting in the serial number

Photoshop CS6 not found after downloading and putting in the valid serial number. Only the extended version will appear as available. How I just downloaded photoshop CS6 only?

    Thank you!

If you follow the 7 steps you can directly download a free trial here: Download Adobe CS6 tests: direct links (without Assistant or Manager) | ProDesignTools

and activate it with your serial number.

If you have a problem from the download, you follow the 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.

the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow the steps 1, 2, and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system, allowing you to download the correct version of the adobe.com site).

failure to obtain this cookie translates into an error page displayed after clicking on a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (e.g., current) version.

  • VMware Server2 does not not after reboot host (openSUSE11.0)

I've recently switched to server2 on my openSUSE11.0. Now, I've noticed that after a reboot of the server host does not work (no entries in ifconfig on the NIC and webaccess does not work)

Only when I run vmware - config.pl again, he shows up.

How can I change the settings that the server will be in place after the host is restarted, as was always the case with server1

    Thanks in advance.

    Richard

This means that it should be run at startup, then try the setting in/etc/sysconfig/boot - I certainly it necessary on different hosts to openSUSE.

  • MSVCR80.dll was not found after installing an update for iTunes

-5February2014 - yesterday I received an automatic update of iTunes (do not write update number) so I accepted the download automated and then with what I was doing on my PC.  Later in the process, a message said something about unable to download or install or something, so I cancelled the iTunes update, thinking I would look into another time.  This morning when I start my PC, as part of the service, I received a pop-up box that follows:

"Unable to locate component APSDaemon.exe. This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. »

At this point, that I'm not sure that the application did not start OR should I try to install.  First of all, I restarted the PC, thinking it was just a ghost in the machine, but during and after the reboot issue I had the same error popup box.  Of course, this does not affect the ability to control Outlook, mail, or go on the Internet, but I'm afraid that someday when I need that MSVCR80.dll, I'm having a problem.  Can someone well tell me what I need to be concerned about or do to fix this "missing" file number, which is also be aggravated to the population of iTunes?  Thank you.

  • iertutil.dll was not found after trying to download internet explorer 8. I can't get into my computer. Not even the start screen.

I can't get into my computer.  All I can get is the Task Manager.  It shows all my still intact material, I'm not him.  Not even to my home screen.  All that appears is my screensaver and a message saying to re - install iertutil. DLL... but how to do when I can't.

Maybe someday, we will see again the proposal to:

Once you open the Task Manager try the commands below.

    1. in the Task Manager, click file, and then click new task

    2. now type rstrui.exe and click OK

This would launch the system restore on the computer refer the below Microsoft article more about the restoration of the system.

If you really try , you would find that it does not work because rstrui.exe is unlikely that never will be in the PATH statement.

If you want to launch the restoration of the system from the Task Manager, you will need to perform a new task like this:

    %SystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe

If c:\windows\system32\iertutil.dll is missing, you will see a message like this:

Explorer.EXE - unable to locate component

The application has failed to start because iertutil.dll was not found.  Re-installing the application may fix the problem.

Because explorer.exe is not running, you will see only your background image /, but Ctrl-Alt-Delete will always bring up the Task Manager where you can maneuver around and replace the file.

If the only problem with your system, it's that iertutil.dll is missing, you can replace the backup copy in the dllcache folder.  You can continue to obtain reviews iertutil.dll is absent, but just click OK for messages of recall as they pop up so you can continue working.

One might think that you use the Task Manager, you can browse c:\windows\system32\dllcache and (after choosing to view all files) copy the iertutil.dll from there and then paste the iertutil.dll file in c:\windows\system32 where it belongs.  That actually works, but it seems that it does not work as you will get an hour glass stuck on the paste operation and perhaps wonder whether or not it has actually worked.

To feel better replace the missing file, so you can actually see the file being copied and replaced... Task Manager, click file, new task and enter in the box (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    cmd

Click OK to open a command prompt window and first make a copy of the original file (if it exists) by entering the following command:

    copy c:\windows\system32\iertutil.old c:\windows\system32\iertutil.dll

That copies the file in progress if there is an and it will just complain if it is not a copy.

We know that XP likes to keep the backup copies of critical system files in this folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

Knowing this, copy the backup copy of the missing file and replace the missing or suspicious file by using this command:

    Copy c:\windows\system32\dllcache\iertutil.dll c:\windows\system32

Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file and then you should see a message that 1 file (s) has been copied.

Type "exit" to close the command prompt window.

Who will replace the missing or suspicious file and if that's all that's wrong with the system, Shut Down box Task Manager, you can choose to reboot your system and see how things are going.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

  • Windows 7 does not start after reboot.

I did a fresh install of windows 7 ultimate. Setup was good, he began, updated, installed some drivers and software, tried to reload and bad news. Restarting stopped with a white screen where the startup screen should be. I turn off the cpu and no problems at windows startup. I tried several times and no luck. If the restart from the menu start, it stops at the empty screen. "I seek answers and possibly other charges was installing, disabled all updates and disconnected all the printers, speakers, etc." and again not luck. After that first start and the processor does not start after a reboot. It stays on with a blank screen and no response to keyboard... Help, please...

I corrected this easy on my HP 7100

Go to management, records and defined as being active, then fixed, make a right click on the partition with windows on them might have to boot windows disk and choose repair option 2 times I found on a model of friends. Anyway, problem fixed, now able to restart (warm start)

  • Bluetooth device driver not found after accidental uninstall (Win7 64 bit)

I use a Plantronics M50 bluetooth headset on my mobile, Skype etc. All troubleshooting yesterday (had a problem with the microphone volume is very low) I followed a few steps of an article if found on a Microsoft forum, telling me to uninstall the driver, as well as to restart my laptop (Win7 64 bit) would recognize and re - install the driver.

In Device Manager, I right-click on the M50 (under audio, video and game controllers) device and chose to uninstall (as prescribed in the MS article). Here's where I shot myself in the foot; I ticked the box "Delete the driver for this device" (thinking that Win7 would get a fresh driver from Windows Update to reboot)

After the reboot, my laptop started to reinstal the driver device, but for "Bluetooth device" reports "no driver not found"

I myself tried in vain things:

    • tried to find the driver sur.com, but isn't available (plug-and-play)
    • installed software (incl. Plantronics Control Panel) Plantronics package
    • I tried Windows Update
    • installed Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 Driver (as advised on various sites to set "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" reports questions 'no driver found'

At the hope that someone had a suggestion for what else to try, or maybe how to find out what that exactly that I deleted by choosing 'delete the driver for this device '.

    Thanks in advance!

    Edit:

Just in case it helps, I noticed that the following folder is created at the time of uninstal and reinstal, containing calisto.inf, calisto. PNF and Calisto.cat

    C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\calisto.inf_amd64_neutral_2b13d4544d6cf2e6

I decided to use Sytem Restore to restore my system to before I uninstalled the driver. There are a few downsides to this, but so far the benefits outweigh them.

    Windows Vista Compatibility Center

First thing to do is to check its Vista compatibility at the link above, and if not to see what patches/solutions are available from its manufacturer...

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-compatibility-mode/

If this is not Vista compatible, read the info on the link above.
It works for some programs, but not all.

This applies to software programs, NOT hardware drivers.

If it's Vista compatible > uninstall it > Re-download/save to your desktop > right click on the setup.exe > run as admin.
