Q: Connection Manager connections of raspberry on different network devices

Hello

I have a raspberry pi in my office and a Windows virtual machine image running in my lab and they are on different networks (RPi in Austin) and Windows WM Coloroado and when I try to connect to the raspberry of Pi using the devices connection manager I can't get a connection. The State tells me 'Sign in' and the usertest.sh script is run on the RPi with no message in the window where I started usertest.sh.

I can access the RPI using Putty to my Windows 7 client, then there is a network connectivity.

I use Java ME 8 Early Access 2 and my Windows VM running Windows 7.

What I'm missing here, it should work?

Thank you

Andy

Hi Andy,.

It's the network settings of your windows in the control panel. If for some reason you have set socks proxy the affects the connection of the otbound in the Device Manager the device

    Hello

I just started to use VMWare instead of Virtual PC, and I'm stuck trying to do something that I used to have the installer.

I want to be able to connect to a virtual computer to a wireless network and independent of the host connection. In this case, the host will not be connected to a WLAN network, but the virtual machine will be.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks for any help.

Not regarding virtualization, I suspect unless you remove the .inf and .pnf files in the folder %systemrot%\inf of the guest for the VMware NICs and and add IDs PCI of its .inf file for the .inf for your wireless card that you have copied to here and also change the drivers referenced in the .inf for your wireless card file to be the VMware ones. Not tried this, just a theory and not a beautiful there :|

  • Unable to connect to other Windows 7 network devices - 0 x 80070035 and 0X80004005 error codes

I have a network consisting of Windows 7 laptop computers, an XP laptop and a Wireless Linksys (Cisco) WRT610 N + N with storage attached to it via its USB port.  Your PC Windows 7 has, since I can see and access to other computers and devices on storage.  Since Windows PC B I can not connect (via the file manager) to A PC or NAS storage network.  Get such as 0 x 80070035 and 0X80004005 error codes when you try to connect to the IP address on the device name.  When I ping the devices of PC B I have no trouble to achieve.

I turned off all firewalls, added the LMHOST file entries and a myriad of other tests and still cannot connect to PC B devices.  I can surf the net fine and do everything else - simply cannot connect to other devices even if these other devices can connect to me.

I was in there for 22 years and has worked as an engineer on major networks and the network I stem - anyone got any idead. I checked all the basics such as Netbios, file sharing etc etc.

Press 'Customize' and make groups of AD1: External a condition select and press OK

You can now make rules based on the content of the AD groups

  • Connect to different networks (with or without proxy)

    Hi all.

I'm working on a project where I need to be connected at least two different networks. One of them is used to communicate with the wireless IP cameras (using ActiveX Axis Media Control), and the other is necessary to access the internet and load the Google maps (using an ActiveX from Microsoft Web Browser control). I'm at University and the internet connection is through a proxy server.

I don't know much about networks and HTTP requests, but I notice that if I set up Internet Explorer to work through the proxy, I am able to navigate in GoogleMaps, but there is no way to access the IP cameras. And if I set Internet Explorer to work without a proxy, I get exactly the opposite.

    Could you help me?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards
    Francisco

    Hi Porras,

Try to create an exception for your proxy server - see attached pictures (Win XP SP3).

Note: These proxy exceptions can be created programmatically, by editing the Windows registry.

  • Vista will not connect to a pc to network shared automatically at boot

I tried many things for centuries and then abandoned (years)... now I try again.

I have a 32 bit Vista pc and I always need to enter a user name and password to connect to another device on my network - I want it to connect automatically whenever the pc starts. I have a Windows 7 laptop and it connects to all devices in the network at startup (after I initially defined and registered the name of user and password). I want to give my kids my vista pc (they want a mac/ipad - I want they have a pc :-)) but I don't always have it connect automatically at all or network devices without the need for user names and passwords.

Help / tell me this problem is now resolved?

    Thank you

    Hello, JHM.

Try to turn off password protected sharing and check.

    1. Open advanced sharing settings by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type network, click network and sharing Center, and then in the left pane, click change advanced sharing settings.

    2. click on the chevron to expand your current network profile.

    3. under password protected sharing, select the following:

    A. turn off password protected sharing

    4. click on save changes. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  • Connect the 2 locations using RV016 router to fill 2 different networks.

I have a RV016 connected to a comcast cable modem to slot 1 with IP 192.168.6.1

I have a RV016 connected to a comcast cable modem at the 2 with 192.168.10.1 IP location

I installed a VPN tunnel from gateway to gateway between 2 routers RV016.

I have a LAN in slot 1 with the IP 192.168.1.1, which connects to the internet through an Adtran router with 4 lines of T1 servile.

I have a LAN with IP 192.168.5.1 2 location that connects to the internet through an Adtran router with 3 T1 lines servile.

I like a computer to location 2 to connect to the RV016 in the local Comcast modem to the Comcast modem at location 1 in the RV016 to slot 1 then go out to the local network at location 1 and communicate with an application server on LAN 1.

    Help, please.

You can't do that with a RV016. The RV016 only supports layer 3 tunnel. This means that the two ends are different networks with different subnets. The traffic between them is not filled.

If you want to really two bridged networks, i.e. join in a single LAN with a single IP subnet and a single broadcast domain you need a layer 2 tunnel, for example a tunnel L2TPv3. That works on layer 2, which is on the MAC addresses inside your networks. In this way, you can use the same IP subnet at both ends and on each side, it seems that the other side is connected to the same ethernet network.

The RV016 does not support the tunneling of layer 2. You can create an IPSec tunnel, which is layer 3. If there is really a need for a tunnel layer 2, you get different devices. I recommend that you evaluate if a layer 2 connection is really necessary or not.

  • is it possible to connect 2 computers 2 different 1 modem wireless routers

is it possible to connect 2 computers 2 different 1 modem wireless routers?

Why do you have 2 routers?

Depends on the design of the modem. It probably only supports a connection. So, you'll probably end up making a wired connection between modem and "1 router" and if you really need a second wireless router, install a wired connection between the 2 routers.

  • Cannot create the remote desktop connection in two different networks.

Original title: Windows 7 PRO through internet Remote Desktop connection.

Two windows 7 Machines Pro. They want to be able to connect to the main computer (Internet router) when they are away at their House on the other.

It connects via DSL behind a router

    A modem connection cable Roadrunner

The customer has upgraded to pro. Computers aren't workgroup and domain just PC. What would be the best way to have to allow them to connect to the router. I tried the port on the router, nothing helps.

    Hello

Remote Desktop connection uses port 3389 in order to listen to the incoming connection.

When done over the Internet, you will need to forward the port to the IP of the computer.

Alas, a router can send a specific port only to a single computer.

Since you have two computers, you must change the listening port for one of them to a different port number and transfer the new port to the IP Address of the computer.

Let a computer uses the default port 3389.

In the second computer, change the port to another port of your choice, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306759/en-us

Assign static IP to the computers (make sure that it is in the DHCP range).

In the router open port 3389 to the IP address of the computer with the default setting.

Open port you used for the second computer to its IP address.

When you connect, if the connection is a connection by default, he would go to a single computer. When the connection is made with on the second track, he would go to the second computer.
