  Hi, I need help with the Blackberry ID related issues. I recently got a Blackberry from my brother who went to the army where it is limited to use only a device equipped photo of Q10 Q10. Before moving to me, it has disabled Blackberry Protect and delete his personal data and I created my new Blackberry ID associated with my email of the company.   I read on internet that with BlackBerry Protect 10.3.2 feature is ENABLED, data wiping is useless without the BlackBerry ID password and it always will make the phone unusable. So I'm stuck...

Can I go ahead and wipe my Q10 without knowing the 'BlackBerry ID password' or 'The password recovery Question?'   I've just switched back to BlackBerry, iPhone and love everything about it so far except for one thing: calls on the calendar time zone problems.

  My work using an OS X hosted the CalDAV server, and I was able to sync my existing calendars to it without problem.

  My timezone: Eastern

  My colleagues timezone: Central

  Question: I received an invitation from a colleague, and on my Mac, it shows 13:00 Eastern, as it should.  The invitation has been sent to 12:00 Central.  This same invitation appears on my BlackBerry at 07:00 Eastern.

  Completed test:

  I added an invitation on my BlackBerry at 06:00 Eastern as a test and it appeared on my Mac at the right time without problem.

  I added an event on another day of my Mac, and it synced to my BlackBerry without problem.

  So it seems that my problem is that when the receiver event invites others, possibly in different time zones.

  My Mac and BlackBerry are both set to the Eastern time.

  My co-workers Mac and iPhone are set to Central time.

  I looked at all the parameters BB and can't find anything that would explain this strange behavior.

  I tried a battery pull - same results.

  I'm on the latest OS available for a Q10: 10.2.1.2976

  Can anyone help with this?  I'd hate to go back to iOS for a question like this, however, a precise and reliable timetable is essential for my work.

  Hello and welcome to the community!

  With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (step 1 should translate a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

  1) register HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
  • Please wait a "registration successful" message

  2) restart

  • Pre-BB10 ONLY devices. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
  • Peripheral BB10. Hold the top button until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the unit to be completely stopped (for example, nothing appears on the screen, no lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red light. Wait through the entire boot process. IF this fails, you can try the method of battery-pull above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
  • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts.

I had no knowledge that BlackBerry 10 devices do not work with BlackBerry Desktop Software, so I sold my Bold 9790 and then bought a Q10.   First of all, the device is released for more than a year and a half.  BlackBerry has put the information out there.  I easily found the information below with a quick Google search that brought up this article, KB33322

  While it has not yet been updated in order to take account of the last update for the link, I made a few minor changes to the instructions to join the same options in the new version of the link.

  Multimedia files stored on the internal memory of the device will be transferred if you check the box "Multimedia files stored on the internal memory."  Multimedia files stored under the content on the old appliance store will not.

  Here are the instructions:

  1. Connect the 10 BlackBerry smartphone to the computer via the USB cable.
  2. On the left side of the BlackBerry connection screen, click on the name of the smartphone BlackBerry 10.
  3. Select restore device > Legacy device backup files.
  4. Select the desired backup file.
  5. Select the data to be restored in the smartphone BlackBerry 10. To restore data to all supported, select the checkbox restore all data .  Choose the data to restore select Custom Restore.
     Note: for a description of data BlackBerry smartphone, refer to KB03974.
  6. Click restore.

I am currently trying to restore a backup that I did on a device for a client and I get an error indicating that the blackberry ID associated with the backup file does not match that on the device.

  How to restore this unit of the backup that was made? I don't have the client with me, and I don't know if he's even a BB ID.

  For anyone interested in how I did it, I had to redo the enterprise activation prior to the restore function. Would be nice if this info was easily found on your site.
