  Having problems with my G30 at startup.   I currently have problems with my screen resembling a picture of Andy Warhol. I resorted to pass through the product Recovery DVD-ROM for my laptop Qosmio F10/G10 in the hope that it back to the factory would solve the problem but it didn't.

  The screen falls down after the Windows Welcome screen, leaving me with my office all Andy Warhol as (i.e., blocks of colors pixelated on the edges of the graphics). I tried to reset the resolution which has solved the problem to an almost acceptable level, but on a temporary basis, because the problem reappears again when I re - start the laptop.

My reasoning is that if there was something wrong with the hardware of the laptop, then DVD playback all programs would react in the same way, but as they do not, there are programming (or operating system problem).

  I'm on the right track? Is there a way to solve the problem via a downloadable file?

  Your Qosmio seems mode clone (tv + tft).
  Right-click on the desktop. go to display properties. Last tab on the right. Select the proper resolution.
  Then press "Advanced" on this tab. Go to the tab 'Geofrce FX5700' select Nview, then select 'standard' instead of Clone. Press on apply.

  I can't get a picture on a monitor external (I tried two different monitors). More precisely:

  "Windows Mobility Center" will recognize that a monitor is connected

  View as far as I know that if you used the external monitor (analog) port, then you should choose analog in the nVidia-> current view
