    Hello

It is not possible to make some changes on the IRDA port in the BIOS. If the IRDA port is available on the machine, the operating system can recognize automatically. As far as I know that the infrared port is always enabled for communication with the other device that has obtained permit port IRDA.

  • Qosmio F10 - devices USB is not recognized correctly

    Hello
I had major problems with the USB ports on my Qosmio F10. Everytime I try to plug in a USB device, the F10 recognizes there is only something there, but always categorizes him as an unknown device. For example, whenever I try to attach a USB mouse, he is instantly recognizes her not, even after already spending in the Device Manager and manually install a driver.

This has been the case since I bought the laptop 5 months ago, but I can't ignore it any longer.

    I have already tried:

-uninstall all drivers and USB controller hub and reinstall
-ensuring that the power save to usb devices was unchecked
-check "install anyway" in the driver signing options

When I open the Device Manager my USB key looks like this

    -Intel (R) 82801DB/DBM USB 2.0 Enhanced Controller - 24 CD
    -Intel (R) 82801DB/DBM USB Universal Host Controller - 24 2 Serial
    -Intel (R) 82801DB/DBM USB Universal Host Controller Serial - 4 of 24
    -Intel (R) 82801DB/DBM USB Universal Host Controller - 24 7 Serial
    -USB Root Hub
    -USB Root Hub
    -USB Root Hub
    -USB Root Hub

Any help on this is much appreciated as its driving me crazy :-)

    Hello

The entries in Device Manager look ok.
If the laptop recognizes the USB device, so everything is ok. If the device appears as an unknown device in Device Manager, you need a driver in particular. Sometimes, the external device needs a driver that should be supplied with the device.

I assume you are using the Toshiba Recovery CD. In this case then phone has pre-installed all the drivers needed and you don t need the 3rd USB controller drivers.

  • Qosmio F16 - 14Q - internet USB device showing! in the Device Manager

    Hello

"my USB device that connect to the internet does not and I wanted on this subject in the Device Manager, it appears under the drive of cd-rom and other two devices below the CD with"! "sign and then I removed the cd-rom drivers.

Can some give me a link to download the cd-rom driver and help make my USB device work?
On the drivers, I didn't know my kind of Qosmio in the driver list, he writes back the Qosmio F16 - 14Q.

    Please help me

I put t know what USB device do you use but if it doesn't work, you must have the driver for this device of some. Part material Toshiba doesn t support third so try please talk with your internet provider and ask for help.

Another thing: I put t know where you bought your Qosmio but I assume it has been offered to Pakistan. The right support page should be http://asia.toshiba.com/pakistan

As far as I know, optical drive uses the standard Microsoft driver so that you won't find a driver for the CD-rom drive.

  • Qosmio F750 - different keyboards appear in Device Manager

I got a Win 7 startup failure with keyboard lock on which I was able to fix.

  • Qosmio X 770: 4 nVidia HD audio devices in Device Manager

So I have a few questions...

In my device manager I [this (screenshot) | http://i.imgur.com/NfH5E7p.jpg].

I have therefore (!) 4 nvidia audio 1 audio realtek hd and hd.
I usually update my nvidia and nvidia hd audio driver video driver is updated every time with her.

But not long ago, I decided to find some other updates of my drivers, toshiba cause bloody (we call it that way in Russia) is too lazy to support their laptops. And [found this: (realtek hd R2.70 driver codec) | http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level= 4 & Conn = 3 & DownTypeID = 3 & GetDown = false].

Installed everything works fine so far. It's for realtek alc269 (and also many other features, but for us only alc269 questions) which is the real name of realtek hd audio device in x 770 laptop computers (I checked in program aida64, formerly everest).

    So now, I have [this (screenshot) | http://i.imgur.com/6HM5mLj.jpg]: version 6.0.1.6662 date 19.06.2012

The previous version that lazy toshiba was happy to provide us with - 6.0.1.6360 [(screenshot) | http://i.imgur.com/dUQiPA0.jpg]

    The questions are:

    1. why I have FOUR devices hd audio from nvidia in Device Manager?

    2. How can I make my primary audio device nvidia hd audio? Or maybe they are a kind of virtual devices or smth like that.

    3. do you think that it was a bad idea to install the driver directly from realtek website? There is a warning on its website: to ensure that you get the full features/customizations provided in audio of origin of the product, please download the latest drivers from your system/motherboard manufacturer's Web site.

So I invite you to test this audio driver with me :)

    And a few other things.
In a topic, I found this info:, myself and other users of this forum have overclocked their cards of 657/1300/1200 to 800/900/1600 and are very satisfied with the results, so try to not not overexaggerate
(this is a quote). So, I'll be happy if someone gives me a link to a sort of manual any overclocking 560 m gt from our beloved x 770.

Also, I found many topics on the drivers from nvidia with angry customers. I don't remember when I've been updated video drivers, but I've never had problems with them. When the situation has changed? As far as I can understand in 2011 you could ' t install drivers nvidia directly from the nvidia site.

P.S. Sorry for my English, I'm from the Russia. There are also a few Russian on the screenshots, hope that's not your eyes bleed.

    Hello

    > 1. Why I have FOUR devices hd audio from nvidia in Device Manager?
I guess these four audio devices are owned by graphics chip (nVidia) controller and they are essential to control the HDMI, spdif, etc.
    So nothing wrong here.

    > How can I make my primary audio device of the nvidia hd audio?
I put t understand why you want to do a primary device?
What is the purpose for this?

If you wish, you can set audio device as the default device in Control Panel-> Sound-> reading tab
Click on the device and choose default.

    > 3. Don't you think that it was a bad idea to install the driver directly from realtek website?
You can use the driver from Realtek as the Realtek sound chip.

  • Re: Qosmio G40 - different processor speeds in Device Manager

Just bought a G40-108 today and noticed something strange in Device Manager - speeds of the 2 nuclei differ.
The first shows T7300 @2.00 GHz and the second is @2.40 GHz T7700.
Although it isn't really a problem I am just intrigued as to why this is, may be normal but I have not encountered this problem before.

Hoping someone can shed some light on this subject.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi vinay

I think I can help you. It s a good message ;) isn t it?

    OK here the solution;

Go to the Device Manager and delete the two entries of CPU.
    Then restart the machine.

After that the OS was loading, go to Device Manager and check the entries again.

I think that the value of the CPU should be the same thing now ;)

I would be grateful a short feedback

  • Qosmio F10: battery life

I have a Qosmio F10 (2 months) and am pretty disappointed with the battery life.
20 minutes running on battery at full power yesterday and the computer was turned off (3%)...
Forget watching a DVD on the plane!
I wonder if it is a BIOS issue or if there is no possibility to buy a more powerful battery.
It seems to me that this computer was designed to run on a/c with the battery pack in as a secondary power (short!) option.
    Any comments?
Also, did anyone tried these plane Chargers sold in airports?

    Hello

In my opinion, you should try to set up your Qosmio for optimal battery usage. To optimize the battery DURATION use the Toshiba Power Saver utility. "TOSHIBA Power Saver" allows according to the specific use power management allows the reduction of the power consumption of your device and allows you to use your PC for a longer period when running on battery.

You can reduce your energy consumption PC mainly for its use by reducing the brightness of the screen LCD or CPU processing speed. There are also various games of management settings power or 'profiles', prepared in advance. These profiles are designed to be used in some of the most common environments of the user. You can use these standard profiles or create your own profiles based on your own custom power management settings.

I'm sure that all the settings of this can help you to use the device for a longer time. To watch DVDs using DVD player profile. You can change the profiles using the FN + F2 key combination.

I wonder if anyone can help before I phone supported again. My motherboard is dead and ASP replaced and recovered my laptop qosmio F10. Since having back, my wireless card did not work.

Windows detects a "network controller" whenever it starts and gives me the opportunity to install it. I tried to install it by navigating in the 'tools and utilities' records CD rom for folders and subfolders of "Wireless network driver" and it still does not detect the card.

I also tried to install using the cd rom web gui and selected the 'Pilot wireless network' link and then tried to install it. It opens a dos command prompt and try to install but comes up with the error "failed installation.

    Hello

you see the card wireless as an unknown device in Device Manager? If this is not the case, perhaps that the card was not properly installed after replacing the motherboard.

Sorry I have no other idea.

  • Qosmio F10: How to get help "wake up on Lan.

Anyone who manages to get working on a Qosmio F10 WOL?
I found that the power management tab is missing from the properties of Intel (r) PRO/100 VE. Therefore cannot check the "allow this device to wake the computer from sleep mode.
Read the Intel site that is said to try to uninstall & reinstall the drivers if the power management tab is missing, that I did with a new & the OEM driver, I downloaded from intel, but it did not work.
The other parameters of WOL under the advanced settings TAB, all seem to be there.

Before going any further I was wondering if anyone has had this works?
If not someone from Toshiba can confirm the Bios & motherboard WOL support with built in the Lan card F10?

Both the program HWSetup & incoming in the installation program, it seems, there is no ACPI definition of boot options.

    Thank you very much

    Qosmio f10
    BIOS 1.20
    IntelĀ® PRO/100 VE driver for 8.0.27.0

    Hello

On my laptop Toshiba the option allow this device to wake this computer is not accessible.
So I think that the map network-> properties-> Advanced tab options are responsible for this action.
On my camera, I can see awakening on the evolution of the link, ARP/Ping alarm and wake up using APM mode.
There you can activate all options.

In addition, you can check in the settings of ToshibaHW if the built-in LAN boot and network protocol is enabled.

  • USB data transfer is very slow on my Qosmio F10

    Hi all
For some reason, my Qosmio F10 see its 4 hubs USB 1.1 instead of 2.0.
Whenever I plug a USB key, I get a message that says that I connect a drive high speed in a hub not high speed. Boring!
The driver version is: 5.0.2.1001 (27.06.2003).
It doesn't seem to be a USB driver on 'download files' file for the Qosmio on the site of Toshiba UK.
Of course, I would not upgrade to the wrong driver...
    Any suggestion?

    Hello

Try to remove all listed USB ports in Device Manager and reboot the device. All ports will be recognized and installed again.

By the way: as much as I know there is no separate driver for the USB ports and as a result you can't find it.

  • Cannot get bluetooth to work on my Qosmio F10

Hi, I have a Qosmio F10 but can't seem to use the bluetooth devices. When I went in the bluetooth devices Manager and tried to add a new device, said bluetooth was off and then I went in an another bluetooth application and who says it could not load the bluetooth startup file (although when I checked, it was on the computer).

Stupidly, I then installed something called Bluetooth Monitor 2 but this actually took away all bluetooth files and I could not find the bluetooth manager plus. I uninstalled this Bluetooth Monitor 2 but still can't find the old files.

I was wondering if someone could help? I realize it's a guy very newbie Q but I hardly ever use my laptop and can get the bluetooth works fine on my desktop.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

    Hello

I do not know what F10 you have exactly, but as far as I know that some of them are without Bluetooth. Each unit with BT has a Bluetooth key in the lower corner.

Also check this please page http://aps.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/.

  • Re: Qosmio F10 - impossible to reinstall the sound card driver

    Hello

Recently, I uninstalled a program and my sound card driver has been uninstalled with it

I'm running the Qosmio F10 with Windows XP.

I have the file to reinstall the diver in the Toshiba page but when I try to install I get the error "driver is not found.

    Can someone help me?

    Thanks in advance

The European Toshiba driver page provides audio driver for XP and at this time, it s a 5.12.0.1.5160 version of Analog Devices Inc.

You must download, unpack and then run the installation exe.

If it doesn't work then remove the sound card in Device Manager, reboot the laptop and check again.
