Qosmio F10 wiring port monitor

Hi all

Anyone know the functions of PIN on the port a F10 monitor. I can't find anyone who can sell me a lead, so I need the functions of spindle to go forward for audio and video.

Thank you
Tony

Tony Hey,

Why do you want to know this information? I think that this information you can find in the technical manual of the laptop but these manuals are available for s ASP and Toshiba I think. You can download the user manual.

You should ask an ASP for help. Maybe the technicians can help you.

On the other hand, you have problems with the laptop?

  • Qosmio G10: problem with Port Monitor

I have a Qosmio (G10), but I have a problem with the functions of 'Port Monitor-in '. However, I have connected my computer cassette player output ports "port monitor" with the proper cables and jack and get good sound but get no video.

    where I go wrong?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello
you need to go to "start / all programs/toshiba/utilities/photo Enhancement utility ' and then click 'monitor input parameters'"
    choose s-video and monitor-in.

  • Qosmio F10: Monitor screen looks like a photo of Andy Warhol

I currently have problems with my screen resembling a picture of Andy Warhol. I resorted to pass through the product Recovery DVD-ROM for my laptop Qosmio F10/G10 in the hope that it back to the factory would solve the problem but it didn't.

The screen falls down after the Windows Welcome screen, leaving me with my office all Andy Warhol as (i.e., blocks of colors pixelated on the edges of the graphics). I tried to reset the resolution which has solved the problem to an almost acceptable level, but on a temporary basis, because the problem reappears again when I re - start the laptop.

I think it's something to do with the Windows Multimedia operating system that came preinstalled on my computer (so no recovery disc). The reasoning behind this assumption is that I put a DVD movie in the media which is part of Windows XP and the film is a video of Andy Warhol.

I put the same DVD in the WinDVD which came as a content of Toshiba and the DVD is perfect! My reasoning is that if there was something wrong with the hardware of the laptop, then DVD playback all programs would react in the same way, but as they do not, there are programming (or operating system problem).

I'm on the right track? Is there a way to solve the problem via a downloadable file?

    Hello

The comparison with the image of Andy Warhol's very funny ;)
However, I recommend you first connect the laptop to the external monitor to check if the same images will appear on the second monitor and run the DVD with Media Center.

I don't know if it has something to do with the BONES of Mr. for me, it looks like a malfunction of the graphics card, but this is only a suggestion.

  • Qosmio F10: Edition of USB-mouse - how can I reinstal drivers USB port?

    Hello

I am the owner of a Qosmio F10 with Win XP MCE.

I have recently encountered problems with my USB ports I have 3 in my computer. It began with one of them and has now spread to the rest of them.

The problem occurs especially with my mouse. The mouse freezes and sometimes I hear the alarm which is generally issued when disconnected a device. Sometimes it restarts seconds later and sometimes I have to physically unplug my mouse and plug it back in to restart.

The problem also occurred with other devices that is my Ipod.

The problem could be related to lack of memory because it seems to me see more during the execution of the programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, etc., however I can't say that for sure.

Can I reinstal the drivers for the USB ports? I tried reinstalling my driver of mouse, with no effect.

Please note that I cannot go into 'Control panel' I get an error message and closes the window.

I hope someone can help me.

    Best regards

    Green tentacle

USB drivers are part of the Windows operating system. 3rd party USB drivers don t exist!
What you could do is to disconnect all USB devices and could remove the USB ports/hubs/controllers in Device Manager.

    Reboot the laptop.
After restarting again the operating system should recognize and install again the USB ports.
This accelerated procedure should help you

  • Qosmio F10: update the display driver

    Hi all
    I use a Qosmio F10.
Preinstalled system shows that Windows uses a generic monitor ("default") and the NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5700 6.6.1.2 version.
I don't know how to update the monitor driver to one Qosmio use really (and not a generic driver).
I tried to upgrade to the latest version of the display driver by using the file update on the site of Toshiba UK, but run in a system error, the Setup program could not find the file to uninstall the original driver.
    Any idea?

    Hi Christophe,

I don't understand what you want to do. You have already installed the new display driver (ver.6.14.10.6612).

Furthermore the display driver depends on the graphics card not on the monitor.

  • Qosmio F10-125 TV tuner

I just took delivery of a F10. Excitedly, I plugged the Jack on the back of the PC to the regular Arial and searched the signal by the auto scan the media Wizard. No signal has been detected. I tried to use the analog RF signal of my Sky digi-box, which must be a good sign that can be achieved. Still nothing. In both cases, coaxial cables carrying a signal healthy as evidenced by TV happily play all channels on the cable from the two sources

Someone knows what to do? or this wonder Qosmio F10 is a joke!

    Hi Ron

As far as I know that you use Composite in the port if you want to watch TV using Qosmio player. In this case, you can change the channel on your cable box and watch it on your Qoamio. In this case, Qosmio player should find a single channel.

Composite in the port is for video and audio signals. If you use S - VHS to it's just for video signal without the sound and I don't know if it will work properly with Qoamio player.
Please try again with Composite in the port. I am very interesting if there is some success.

  • Qosmio F10 reviews

I am currently deciding whether to buy a Qosmio F10. There seems to be 3 versions available for me the 100 F10, F10 - 124 and the F10-125. The F10-125 seems to be the best?

I am concerned about the TV reception - if I simply plug an antenna on the standard roof at the rear of the Qosmio will I get a pretty decent reception (as I do when I look at the TV)? Also I've obviously not will keep the tv aerial permanently connected, so whenever I want to watch tv, I'm going to have to retune the Qosmio?

What should I do to watch freeview digital tv, that is if I buy a box of TNT can I just plug in the back of the Qosmio that appear all channels?

There seems to be 2 ways to watch TV 1) the MCE Qosmio Player 2). From a previous post, it seems that the remote control only works with the Qosmio player?

In general any opinion with the ease and convenience of watching TV on the Qosmio would be appreciated so I can judge whether it is worth spending me the money to get this facility.

Anyone know where I can buy one on good terms?

    Hello

Sorry, but in my opinion you should take some of the information detailed by local vendor because here you can ask a lot of questions and at the same time check all components and the ports you need to watch TV.

In any case, I'll try to give you my opinion in a few words.

I agree with you that F10 - 125 is the best. This device has everything that the laptop need including Bluetooth. There is no reason to worry about the TV reception because Qosmio has enough video - in ports that you can use every possibility to watch TV.

If you want to use cable TV its antenna in the port and you can watch TV on two tracks. First used Qosmio player without OS boot or using MCE that is built into the OS. MCE using it also records option available.

While watching TV with the help of an external receiver, you can use composite port. To watch TV you can use Qosmio player, but in this case Qosmio player will find a single usable channel and you can choose the programs using the remote control receiver.

My opinion is generally that the F10 is a great machine. Check also the series G and compare it with the F-series.

Before buy you Google around and check prices.

  • Video output distorted on Qosmio F10

    Hello

Until recently, my video output on my Qosmio F10 function works beautifully. When I connect my laptop to the TV the other day, using an s-video cable, the image had turned very distorted. The TV picture flickers and sometimes disappears completely.

My laptop has the graphics card Nvidia GeForce FX Go5700 and I changed no settings what so ever of the point in time when the video output was working properly.

To debug, I bought a new s-video cable and an adapter SCART. The use of these I've eliminated that the s-video TV in the port is the problem. It seems to me that if something is wrong with the signal from the graphics card.

I would be very grateful for a diagnosis on this issue.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Johan

If you are quite sure that the cable is ok, so it could also be a problem with the connection. Maybe lose plug or something like that.
However, as a first step, you may try to update the page Toshiba graphics card driver.

It would be very interesting to know if such question will appear on the new OS recovered

  • No tuner = no S-Video capture! (Qosmio F10-101)

I just bought Qosmio F10-101, which comes without a TV tuner. I tried everything to save my VCR to the computer's S-video input, but this is not possible. I have already installed the registry patch and I tested several applications like WinDVD Creator video recording supplied with the machine, they do not all video input ports.

The main reason why I bought this machine, it's that I thought that the S-video input could be used for recording the video on the hard drive. But it seems that this is not the case.

So, I'm supposed to return the unit for another model? Or is there a workaround to record a S-video input to the hard drive? Please, remember that this isn't a TV tuner.

    TIA

    Hello Tia

Any news on the new drivers from Toshiba?

    Hello Norsk

The response from EA is a standard response, and it is well known that the laptop users are to use drivers designed by the manufacturers of portable. As you know the graphics cards used in laptops are not so powerful as the desktop graphics cards. There are various reasons for this, but the most important is overheating.

You can try to use the driver provided by the manufacturer of the graphics card, but there is no guarantee that it can be installed properly. The only thing I can recommend is to play games using the low graphics settings.

I have the same situation with my Satellite P20, but using the low graphics settings I am able to play my favorite games.

  • How to start IrDA by the BIOS on my Qosmio F10?

    Hello

I have a Qosmio F10, and I read that the port IrDA does not start by the bios at startup, but by the operating system.
How can I do to start my IrDA port with the bios at startup? Is this possible? Cause that will help you a lot

Another question, yesterday I've post a message on the Linux driver. When I ve clicked on "post message" I ve got a message "this message must be approved by a moderator" but, I do not see my forum topic, but why yesterday, my topic was to be accepted by a moderator and today my topic doesn't have it?

    Post edited by: benlog

    Hello

It is not possible to make some changes on the IRDA port in the BIOS. If the IRDA port is available on the machine, the operating system can recognize automatically. As far as I know that the infrared port is always enabled for communication with the other device that has obtained permit port IRDA.

  • USB data transfer is very slow on my Qosmio F10

    Hi all
For some reason, my Qosmio F10 see its 4 hubs USB 1.1 instead of 2.0.
Whenever I plug a USB key, I get a message that says that I connect a drive high speed in a hub not high speed. Boring!
The driver version is: 5.0.2.1001 (27.06.2003).
It doesn't seem to be a USB driver on 'download files' file for the Qosmio on the site of Toshiba UK.
Of course, I would not upgrade to the wrong driver...
    Any suggestion?

    Hello

Try to remove all listed USB ports in Device Manager and reboot the device. All ports will be recognized and installed again.

By the way: as much as I know there is no separate driver for the USB ports and as a result you can't find it.

  • Qosmio F10 - devices USB is not recognized correctly

    Hello
I had major problems with the USB ports on my Qosmio F10. Everytime I try to plug in a USB device, the F10 recognizes there is only something there, but always categorizes him as an unknown device. For example, whenever I try to attach a USB mouse, he is instantly recognizes her not, even after already spending in the Device Manager and manually install a driver.

This has been the case since I bought the laptop 5 months ago, but I can't ignore it any longer.

    I have already tried:

-uninstall all drivers and USB controller hub and reinstall
-ensuring that the power save to usb devices was unchecked
-check "install anyway" in the driver signing options

When I open the Device Manager my USB key looks like this

    -Intel (R) 82801DB/DBM USB 2.0 Enhanced Controller - 24 CD
    -Intel (R) 82801DB/DBM USB Universal Host Controller - 24 2 Serial
    -Intel (R) 82801DB/DBM USB Universal Host Controller Serial - 4 of 24
    -Intel (R) 82801DB/DBM USB Universal Host Controller - 24 7 Serial
    -USB Root Hub
    -USB Root Hub
    -USB Root Hub
    -USB Root Hub

Any help on this is much appreciated as its driving me crazy :-)

    Hello

The entries in Device Manager look ok.
If the laptop recognizes the USB device, so everything is ok. If the device appears as an unknown device in Device Manager, you need a driver in particular. Sometimes, the external device needs a driver that should be supplied with the device.

I assume you are using the Toshiba Recovery CD. In this case then phone has pre-installed all the drivers needed and you don t need the 3rd USB controller drivers.

  • Cannot get bluetooth to work on my Qosmio F10

Hi, I have a Qosmio F10 but can't seem to use the bluetooth devices. When I went in the bluetooth devices Manager and tried to add a new device, said bluetooth was off and then I went in an another bluetooth application and who says it could not load the bluetooth startup file (although when I checked, it was on the computer).

Stupidly, I then installed something called Bluetooth Monitor 2 but this actually took away all bluetooth files and I could not find the bluetooth manager plus. I uninstalled this Bluetooth Monitor 2 but still can't find the old files.

I was wondering if someone could help? I realize it's a guy very newbie Q but I hardly ever use my laptop and can get the bluetooth works fine on my desktop.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

    Hello

I do not know what F10 you have exactly, but as far as I know that some of them are without Bluetooth. Each unit with BT has a Bluetooth key in the lower corner.

Also check this please page http://aps.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/.
