  Hello... I had problems using the TV function on my laptop... I had a bad signal at the beginning (bad picture but the sound was ok) I used a signal booster, which made no difference... then I tried to re-setting to the point to make sure that I had chosen the region correct etc and now it does not pick up a signal of my ariel at all...   How do you connect the TV tuner? Did you use the analog or digital signal?
  Also, I found a new driver of tuner on Toshiba driver download page. Please check the version of your old tuner driver. If it of a old version, then I recommend to install the new driver.

• Qosmio F20 battery problem

  Hi, I posted here a few days ago, but no one seems to know the answer to this problem... so I'll explain it in simpler terms.

  If the laptop is turned off and I plug in the charger, the middle on the bottom edge (which indicates that the battery is charging) lights up. After about 20-30 seconds, it turns off. The laptop will then only work with the power cable plugged, and the soft power saver shows without battery present at all.
  If I then remove and replace the battery, it 'see' battery and start loading it again. but after about 20-30 seconds, the light goes off again and the laptop won't work once more than on the current. the battery shows up to 75% load if it is visible, and if I catch it on the battery power and unplug the cable it fortunately stays on until the battery runs out, IE. an hour! so why is it not load, or even see the battery? It is very annoying, as if I am working with the computer and want to move, I need to stop and restart once I move, or remove and replace the battery before unplugging the adapter! Help, please?

  Looks like the battery made a bad connection from the motherboard.

  If you can get your hands on one, try another battery. If he did the same thing with the other battery, then the motherboard or the card with the connector on the battery (according to the model of the laptop) may need replacing.

  First of all, it is not normal that appears only 120 GB instead of 250 GB., I don't know much about your model, but I guess there are limits, which means that the laptop can only handle drives up to 120.

  My Qosmio G30 (117) has problems to start. Basically the Qosmio title displays properly, but as soon as Windows XP appears, it is as a grid of white dots on the screen. He will then drain and take forever to get into windows. The grid of points remains all the time.

  Bear with me please im new to these boards. I have a problem with my Qosmio F20-110. It works with Media Center 2005 Edition and Im having problems with the CD burner. Everytime I try to produce an audio cd it will burn the first two songs and then spit the disk. Ive tried to change the write speed and various manufacturers of disc. Ive tried a lot of different software, but nothing helped. I'd appreciate any advice on this question because Im starting to think it's a hardware fault. I activated the record cd in D drive properties and still no joy.

  You should check if after the next reboot the TV tuner is properly recognized in Device Manager.
  If this is not the case, then visit the European driver Toshiba page and you must reinstall (update) the TV tuner driver.

  I think that the system cannot boot to the new HARD disk as the partition where the system is installed, was not marked as bootable system partition.

  I recommend to insert the previous HARD drive and to start the laptop.
  HARD drive new, cloned could be connected as an external HARD drive to a USB port.

  Then you should go to disk management (right click my computer - manage-> management-> disk management computer)
  Here you can see the HARD internal disk and the 2nd HARD drive connected to the USB port
  Right-click on the partition (2nd HARD drive) where the Win XP has been installed and choose the partition as the system partition and mark it as active.

  Then you could change the HARD drive again and could power the device in place. Usually, the system should boot to the top of the new marked system partition.
