  Qosmio G30, SigmaTel HD Audio Codec, running XP 2

  I'm looking for audio signal through the built in coaxial to the GPA. No signal. When I go to sounds and Audio devices > advanced > Volume Control Panel /Properties there is no cursor for spdif badette, in the list of things to show in the advanced Panel, or a way to put in operation. Similarly, in sign of SigmaTel there no option to route via spdif.

  In addition, the advanced controls is grayed out in the Volume Control Panel.

  What did I miss? I can't for the life of understand me why there is no signal nor any how to activate spdif in this machine.

  In addition, in the Media control Devices Properties box, it is this list:
  (MCI) Audio CD
  (MCI) Microsoft Video for Windows
  Midi sequencer (MCI)
  Sound (MCI)
  mciqtz32.dll

  Who say that they are functioning normally. Any ideas why I can't find the spdif option?

  The SPDIF socket is supported on the Qosmio G30. It s the same taken as the headphone jack.
  To use this SPDIF you must connect the audio amp with the laptop via a special SPDIF cable.

  What you could do is to start the DirectX using the command; Dxdiag

  There you can check if the SPDIF is available or not.

  But have you tried to change the mode in comforter Toshiba RAID you might find in Toshiba Assist-> Protect Fix & -> RAID Console

  Check if you can switch to the mirroring.

  By the way; RAID-1 is defined in the BIOS?
  Usually, when you use RAID-1 configuration, the RAID is set to mirroring. In this case, the operating system recognizes the reduced ability to both hard drives (in your case, it is not important since you are using the two 500 GB HDD).

  If I try to play a normal DVD (not a HD-DVD) with the Toshiba HD-DVD player software, I get the message next to the HD-DVD player:

• Qosmio G30 / ADSL Linksys router interference with opening doc Word & Excel

  Qosmio G30 is connected via a Linksys WAG354G V2 ADSL wireless router successfully. However, when connected, double click to open a Word or Excel document causes system hang for up to 2 minutes then opens OK. The computer wireless switch allows the document to be opened immediately.

  You can also turn off the router has the same effect. The Linksys working properly through the Linksys Wireless card on an old Toshiba 2770XDVD with no grip. Two computers use XP (G30 is XPmedia Center). I don't particularly want to change the router as there should be a logical explanation/solution.

  -Install the latest drivers

  I have a G30-161 double HDD (in Raid 1) which no longer starts...
  He just gives the message "file NTDLR is missing" and is followed by a prompt to restart the computer in which the same error will appear again.

  I got this laptop for my son to fix (lucky me :(!)

  Things, I've looked at so far:

  -Check the BIOS to see if the disks are configured properly - BIOS indicates the two hard drives installed, online and in RAID 1
  -J' had an installation of Windows XP by hand disc then tried to see if it would boot from a CD. He started on the CD ok, but the process Windows Recovery Console/install said he couldn't find any hard drives. Find an Acronis True Image boot disk (using linux I think), once again the started program end, but don't have it no hard drives installed.
  - So with no HD not reports I took one for a test. With disk 2 removed, in an attempt to start the system reports "RAID 1 is GRADIENT" then follows with "NTDLR file is missing. So this tells me that SW RAID working probably and he knows that a HD has been removed.
  All the patches I've read on the PC forums involve the use of the XP Recovery CD or some, but it won't work because the system thinks there are no disc when it starts. We have no ' have a Toshiba Recovery disk for the machine.

  Someone at - he saw the problem above, knows a fix?
  Can I purchase a G30-161 recovery CD anywhere?

  My first problem I can't understand mine. I did a search through old messages using several key words and couldn't find it.

  I buy the audio book CD and then extract them to MP3 so I can listen to on the "rocket". I put all the MP3 of the book in a directory, use Mp3tag to put in place a track number, title, author, and such then I drag the folder to the folder "audiobook" on the "rocket".

  I start to play the first file, and most things work very well. The documents in the file and I cannot FF or REW in this file. When this file is complete, the "rocket" ahead to the next file of its own. Bookmarking works fine. When I try to use the 'next' button to move to the next file, however, nothing happens. If I try to use the 'back' button to go to the previous file, nothing happens. Very strange.

  The button works fine when I'm listening to MP3 music. I can jump forward or backward through the tracks normally. It is the same with podcasts.

  I don't normally jump before the audio book titles, but sometimes I'll do it if I lose interest in the book and hope to find something more interesting on a next track.

  Generic audio books works a little bit differently from the Audible.  New audio book functionality, allowing any type of playable, always has the option of cool chapter mode, but it functiond otherwise than by playing an Audible book.

  Sound files have chapter breaks that can be selected in the part of the main work.  "Regular" audio books have just chapter-titles.  Try to select the chapter mode; It affects to jump between tracks.

• Impression of blur? (Not associated with DPI)

  I am a user of long date illustrator but I use it mostly for comic strips based on the web and the non-formal print things. However my teacher friend asked me to help him with his wedding invitations because she has no money for someone else to help her. We worked for a few week to design something she loved, but now when she tries to print, everything is blurred. I have tried everything I can think, but my lack of experience in a job related printing brought me to be puzzled. I made sure that the image is printing at 300 dpi. I made sure the printer is set for a better print quality and print without borders, which is how I * think * I designed the image. I have attached the file I and the finished file I send to print to a file zip below. If someone could help PLEASE help me out you we would be doing a results. She has procrastinated this so long as it is almost out of time.

  You must print the document HERE using a printer PostScript ((emulation) driver), or save a copy in PDF and print from that (almost) any printer.

• Cannot enable superfetch. When I tried, I got an error message saying its not compatible with internet explore 5.5 or more?

  We have Windows 7, he left that he would say that our password is wrong.  We had the same password since we have it and not the caps lock is not on.  I spent days googling stuff and tried everything.  I went into safe mode and did a scan, it's where he says superfetch has been disabled.  I could not allow it so I ran (service.msc) and this is where it says the error in the title above.  I also tried running (msconfig.exe) he showed no match?  I am beyond frustrated.  Can anyone help?
