Qosmio G30: Reset mouse pad shortcuts

Im trying to reset or change application shortcuts I assigned in the touchpad. I've tried Hotkey Utiliy, Accessebility, FN-Ease, checks of Toshiba, Toshiba HWSETUP, nothing seems more to be leader in this way

Hi Togan

I assume that you have written on Touch & utility launch. Am I wrong?

If Yes, to check carefully Touch & start parameters. You will find all the options to set your favorite shortcuts. If you have problems please start TOSHIBA Touch and help launch. You will find explanation step by step how deal with this tool.

By the way: to create shortcuts for some Toshiba has designed tools and utilities are not so simply. Some of them you find the path and good location. Some of them are designed to work in combination with the FN key combination. Others are placed in the Panel and it can find. Generally, all these things as checks and HWsetup will not often be used and every day and because of that, you can find them in the Panel.

In my opinion Touch & launch tool is designed to help users start applications every day fast and quickly without clicks.

    Hello

My mouse pad is facing upward and I don't know why. It works when I restart the laptop, then after a few minutes, it does not at all. I checked the properties in Device Manager and it says it works properly... which is not the case. I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled. He always does.

Not sure if this is related to some of my key of F does not not to my other thread - https://forum.toshiba.eu/showthread...ns-not-working

A question I've had for a while (which may or may not be related) is my TOSHIBA x 64 compatible ACPI logical value and general-purpose device has a problem. On the device manager says "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) ». I uninstalled and reinstalled this with driver Toshiba utility pack and it always happens with this error. I cleaned the registry several times using tuneup utilities 2013. It is probably not bound as it has been like this for a long time with no obvious side effects. But it's annoying nevertheless.

Maybe windows 10 could save the day (I'm on the 8.1). I hope. In the meantime if anyone has any suggestions I would be very happy.

Good, someone else who might find this is useful - it turns out that it was a hardware failure. My laptop hinge was loose, and therefore the case had to be replaced. He also replaced the mouse pad - now it works fine.

  • Qosmio G30-163 mouse and keyboard does not work properly

    Hi all

I installed an update of the firmware of the toshiba site. I think that the upgrade was for the dvd but am not sure. I just saw an available upgrade and installed. Stupid of me. The dvd drive has been previously not recording. If after installing the update of the firmware I has not restarted the machine. In the meantime, I forgot the upgrade and then I did to fix the error of dvd

"Start the Registry Editor (start, run and type regedit and click on).

Search for "UpperFilters" and "LowerFilters" (and "UpperFilters.bak" "LowerFilters.bak", if they exist) value under the following key in the registry and delete it:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

    Exit the registry editor.

    Reset. »

Now, after restart the keyboard and the mouse does not work. I can't go in safe mode because I can't press ok for the user login screen. I have attached an external keyboard, but it still does not work.

I use windows xp, I have a lot of data. I can't do anything. If anyone has any idea please help me. The laptop is out of warranty. I'm stuck. Help, please.

    John

S rally strange because I put t see a link between the firmware CD/DVD, UpperFilters and LowerFilters and the keyboard and mouse.

This is first time that a removal of the upper and lower filters would undermine the functionality of keyboard and mouse. Which is really strange.

Anyway, you are able to access the BIOS? If this isn't the case, then this is not good.

First of all, you should try to save the data stored on the HARD disk in this case, I recommend to remove the laptop HARD drive and connect it using a USB HDD on another controller.
This would allow you to save the data to another HARD disk.

Put the removed HARD disk in Notepad, and then try to reinstall the OS from the Toshiba restore CD.
I hope that this will be possible because I don't see another way to get the operating system again.

    Good luck by a friend

    My Qosmio G30 collapsed.

I know then that in videomeeting I could still continue with the participants when the screen went black.
    The noise was still there.

After that the graphics stoped to work anywhere and I thought I had some kind of virus. When testing for reset the computer with the reset product CD I can't finish rebooting. The computer formatted the hard drive, but no new operating system has been installed, so I'm in big trouble :(

The GPU (what is it?  :() seems to have a link of the week in the G30 judging by other discussions in this forum.

Anyone has an idea on how I could solve this problem?

    Hello

GPU means that the graphic processing unit-> it's just graphic chip card

According to you the message chip the graphics card may be defective.
If you are not able to restore the laptop using the Toshiba Recovery then CD I would recommend contact the ASP in your country for assistance.

  • How can I disable the mouse pad when you use a mouse plug-and-play?

How can I disable the mouse pad when you use a mouse plug-and-play? I tried to disable the driver, and nothing works.

    Hello

Check with support of the manufacturer system, documentation online or forums that there is probably
Shortcut keys that enable and disable the touchpad functions.

Parameters for TouchPad located in the control panel - mouse (there may be several tabs with TouchPad entered)
and some come with a utility that loads in the Notification area next to the clock in the bottom right.

    ==========================================

If necessary: (make sure that you have restarted at least once, if the above did not work)

Panel of configuration manager devices - mouse and pointing devices - Double click on the touchpad - the driver tab-
Click on update driver (it comes may not do anything like MS is far behind the drivers of certification), now right CLICK
    on the TouchPad and UNINSTALL.

Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself (all in). RESET

This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad from working.

The similar procedure on XP, Windows 7 and Vista is the same, except that we need to clear the specific device if present.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310575

Then go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest touchpad drivers.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN.

  • Where can I find drivers Vista for Qosmio G30

Are there other places were I can download the drivers for my Qosmio G30, drivers for Windows Vista?
I tried this hompage but I was able to get some buttons to work again.

I would like to get the Play, Stop, and Skip buttons to work again.
And also the wireless keyboard shortcuts.

Is there anyone who knows what to do?

Vista for Qosmio G30 drivers can be downloaded from the page of European driver of Toshiba.

The page can be found here:

If the Toshiba control buttons do not work correctly, I would recommend reinstall Vista Toshiba value added package

  • New Qosmio G30 hangs after some time by doing nothing about it

    Hello

I'm a software engineer. It means that I know only a few things on computers. But this new Qosmio makes me unhappy because I see no chance to let it run stable. I got this phone about 2 weeks. This week * the system crashed about 10 to 15 times *. Is the horrible thing, I can't do anything else than * holding down the power button for 10 seconds to restart this machine *.
Original Vista Ultimate is installed. External devices, or USB mouse. I changed the power "always being run" mode to be sure that the effect is not any energy saving mode. I have updated all the drivers to the latest version. But with the same effect.
I really need to start working with this computer, but I can't trust him at this time. I need help as soon as possible!

In this case, I downloaded the information system on this site:
    Link: [www.goldengel.ch/temp/SystemInfo.txt]

    _Basics are: _
Vista Ultimate 6.0.6000 Build 6000 (updates made)
    BIOS 3.90
    QOSMIO G30
CPU: Intel Core T7400 2.16 GHz, 2 Kern, 2 logical processors
    SMBIOS 2.4
    RAM: 2 GB
HDD1: Vista OS installed and multimedia files
HDD2: Program files, Temp and Installation files.

    Hi dude

It's not easy to say why the laptop s OS crashes.
It is maybe something wrong with the s operating system installed?  :| who knows.

I think you should install the OS preinstalled Toshiba and it should test then

If the laptop still crashes the single RAM modules need to be tested.
I think you could blow an and could test the laptop using a single module of RAM.

  • Re: What is the model of default keyboard in a Qosmio G30?

    Hello
I have a Qosmio G30-155 which I had arranged with additional partitions. Recently, I did a complete reinstall of Windows Vista, but I have not used the Vista DVD provided with my computer because it would destroy my partitions. So, I used a standard DVD of Vista. Everything works well except two questions: the computer is not responding to shortcut keys, or IR remote. Laptop infiltrates the IR signals, because when one presses a button on the IR remote control, a few lights in the remote and computer. However, nothing else happens.

I installed several configurations of the packages 'remote control manager', "Added value package" and "Support" button, nothing helps.

I checked the Device Manager, and my keyboard appears as a "PS/2 Standard keyboard. I guess that this setting is false, because this keyboard would not have access keys. So, this setting could be cause my problems.

Can someone tell me which type of keyboard G30s were?

    Thank you and best regards

    I agree with Akuma
There is no special keyboard drivers and those drivers are not needed.,.
The Windows operating system, no matter if it of Vista or XP, uses the Microsoft keyboard driver.

To enable the keys FN and Toshiba control buttons the VAP (value added package) must be installed

You must ensure that you have chosen the correct drivers for the laptop G30.
The G30-155 seems to belong to the series of PQG32E so chose exactly this model in the form of download number.

I have a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000. It would be a good solution and how do I install it. I can't find anything about compatibility. No matter what I click or try, I still just have sent Windows 7 info.

    You have two separate issues.

You do not explain what are your "mouse pad problems", and because you didn't also determine which laptop Dell model you have, I can't give you specific advice.  Take a look at the following page which, although specific to the laptop computer Latitude 131 L, applies to your touchpad as well. http://www.support.Dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/DSN/en/document?&docid=361927

If you want information specific to your laptop, go to Dell support and enter your service tag, then search for answers using the keyword "touchpad".

If your touchpad hardware is actually dead, or if you want to use a mouse instead of the touchpad, the Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 is a reasonable choice.  If you just plug the transmitter into a USB port on your computer and turn on the mouse, it should work without needing to install anything (you may need to reset the transmitter and the mouse buttons to reset on each device).

If you want to "features", download the software IntelliPoint here: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/DownloadResult.aspx?category=MK&type=Mouse&name=BX3-00008&os=XP_32&lang=en

  • Qosmio G30 - 10F - need mainboard partnumber

    Hello

I need to reference my motherboard, because it is defective and I want to replace the motherboard.
and my dealer wants the right partnumber to find the right spare parts.

But I can't find the reference to the Board of Directors, one and only one i found is:
    + A5A001964 / 030 A0 / C074AGOT +.
    + Model: Qosmio G30-10 +.
    + PQG32E-03903NGR +.
    + S/N: 47816895 +.

And my dealer said, the partnumber resembles this example: P000462640

    Thank you

As far as I know Toshiba service partner has this info. They have access to Toshiba of database and that you can check this. As much as I know that Toshiba has offered two platforms for the Qosmio G30, so it is very important for you to get the motherboard for PQG32E.

I mean if you have this number, you can order only and you don't need some special shopping.
Try to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.
It's really not easy to help you with this.

And Yes. Part number is something like K000xxxx.

  • Qosmio G30 (PQG31) - problem with cloned hard drives

    Hi all!

    * Qosmio G30-154 * (* PQG31 *).

Demo of the Qosmio has 2 hard drives with XP MCE (32 bit) installed on the primary.
    The RAID parameters are JBOD.
    BIOS is "newer" 3.90

I would try to upgrade the drives (without installing any OS) and... have a problem!

F6 (for all usb drivers) is not available to boot OS, sorry.

"cloned" drive is in line with the correct name of made in the BIOS. "Cloned" secondary drive works (with old primary school). How to get access to the new primary OS and loading cloned? Please, any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I think that the system cannot boot to the new HARD disk as the partition where the system is installed, was not marked as bootable system partition.

I recommend to insert the previous HARD drive and to start the laptop.
HARD drive new, cloned could be connected as an external HARD drive to a USB port.

Then you should go to disk management (right click my computer - manage-> management-> disk management computer)
Here you can see the HARD internal disk and the 2nd HARD drive connected to the USB port
Right-click on the partition (2nd HARD drive) where the Win XP has been installed and choose the partition as the system partition and mark it as active.

Then you could change the HARD drive again and could power the device in place. Usually, the system should boot to the top of the new marked system partition.
