Qosmio G40 - trying to install Magic Mouse

Hello world

I tried to install the Apple Magic Mouse in Windows 7 using the unofficial UneasySilence driver and can not get the scrolling, only left and right clicks.

Research on the net, it seems to be the kind of a lottery: some wins, some loses; I lost

Did someone get a solution giving me?

Thanks for the good advice.

Hello

Well, I doubt it s a Toshiba related question if the mouse or mouse driver doesn t work properly.

I mean if you use drivers not official there is no support for this and you must use the official drivers if available. If you still have problems, you should contact the manufacture of the Magic Mouse.

    Hello

I have a Qosmio G40-10th which has Windows Vista.
I want to switch to Windows XP but worry about what drivers I need and where can I get them?

Also, I wonder if XP installation means that I would be able to use the Vista recovery disk I got with the Qosmio.

    Any help is very appreciated,

    Kind regards

    EOC

    Hello

Go to the Toshiba driver page:

    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

And check if you have the drivers for win xp for your model, otherwise, it will be useless to install it.

For my laptop, I installed Vmware with windows xp inside environment.

  • Qosmio G40-10 s - driver software for device has not been installed successfully

    I get a message...
Software device driver has not been installed successfully.
    Memory PCI controller... failed

Is this a problem with my laptop or software that has been loaded. Now on Windows 7 32 bit Vista

    Hi spudcam,

This means that for the memory controller PCI is no driver installed?

Well, it is difficult to say which driver you need exactly and Windows 7's official is not compatible with the Qosmio G40.

AFAIK memory PCI controller is Intel Turbo Memory module, so you would need Robson package driver of the official website of Toshiba.
Now, I looked on the page of Toshiba and guess what, it s is available for G40 and Windows 7. :)

  • Driver SATA required for installing XP on Qosmio G40

    Hello

I have Toshiba Qosmio and I want to install windows XP Professional.
But as you know XP does not have the driver for SATA hard drive and it can't see the disk.

I have a good program to install the hard disk drivers in Win xp cd, but I don't have the driver.
So I need the driver disc Qosmio G40 hard to ride with the XP CD.

If there is no link available to download or any body done before.

    Thank you

The key is; Intel Matrix Storage Manager. This Storage Manager contains the necessary SATA drivers.
You can download it from the page of the driver Toshiba (check the other series where the XP driver are available) or from the Intel page.

I also recommend the use of the program nLite. You can create a clean XP CD using this software and might include the SATA driver (also, service packs, etc.) for the new CD of XP.

I did it too and it works like a charm.

    At soon buddy

  • Magic Mouse on Boot Camp 5.1 Windows 7

I was on the last two hours of research on how to connect my Magic Mouse to Windows 7 via Boot Camp 5.1. Here is what I tried:

By clicking the Bluetooth and the addition of the device. Biggest problem, the mouse doesn't even appear to be discovered (and yes the mouse is on and yes I turned it on after the opening of the add unit page).

Also, I tried to manually install drivers Boot Camp 5 on Apple's site. I even tried the 3.1, which seems to work for everyone, except that since I am 5.1, it doesn't let me open the files.

I even tried some third-party software, but no luck.

I think that if I can get Windows 7 to recognize the device that I could install it, but it does not appear in my choices. I tested the Bluetooth Manager by seeing if he could see my iPhone, and he did. It is also safe to say that it connected fine on my OSX partition.

Any help would be great! Thank you!

    Data sheet:

    MacBook Pro late 2011

    OSX El Capitan

Boot Camp running under Windows 7 64-bit

Magic Mouse 2, Magic Trackpad 2 and Magic Keyboard 2 have no drivers for W7. They are supported under OS X and W10.

  • Qosmio G40 - no webcam with live Messenger

    Hello world

I installed Win 7 on my Qosmio G40 instead of Vista and everything work fine except the webcam that does not work with live Messenger (only) no matter what I do (I tried several drivers, re-installed Win messenger live, close some processes, etc ;) I get this error message:

'* Cannot start your webcam. "Check if it is not used by another program and retry."

What the hell can I do to fix this?

    Hello

I read a lot of discussions about the problems with webcam and messenger Ms.
The problem with Vista has been resolved by the SP1 from Microsoft Update.
Now, it seems to be that the same problem with Win 7 looks like a thing of compatibility

However, because the message says that the webcam is used by another application, I suppose that some background processes lock the webcam

You must remove webcam and messenger MS startup in msconfig.
After that, restart the laptop and don t start the webcam software if you want to use it in Messenger from Ms.

  • Qosmio G40-108 - prevent recovery of product disc ask to insert the disc

I have a Qosmio G40-108 and it works fine even if the disc is not read discs any longer, perhaps because of a motherboard failure that I replace the disk with a new of brans and it still does not work, but my problem is the following... I have the product recovery disc, I tried to copy it to a USB key and reinstall the OS from USB and the start of software loading a page with the logo Toshiba asking to insert the recovery disk into drive F: I can't use is more like it's broken. How can I prevent the disc from asking to insert the disk into drive F:? There are lines on the laptop recovery disk to install the USB without using the disc?

I managed to install a generic Windows Vista 32 bit downloaded from a Web site and my serial key works with it, but I really want to reinstall the original software
P.S. Recovery of product is for Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit and just in case there is also a serial number of the disk GMR400766ENG

I don't have any experience with this, but I found an interesting article on creating recovery USB - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD4103KB0000R01.htm

Maybe you'll be able to create the USB stick recovery. Check it out.

  • Qosmio G40 - Intel Turbo Memory issue on Windows 7

The Intel Turbo Memory does not work in my Qosmio G40 Windows 7. I tried different ways to install the drivers but only the work of the Intel Matrix Storage Console.

If I try to install the full Pakage Robson, the material remains marked as a problem in the Device Manager and the computer crashes every time he goes into mode 'sleep'.

Is there a way around this, or should I disable this feature (which was working under Vista before)? thanx

    Hello

This feature isn t so important because he doesn't make a strong performance gain, but in your case I would try to update the BIOS. Maybe it will work or let's say that the computer goes into mode 'sleep' correctly again. The latest version, you can download the Toshiba site.

What Intel driver, you have exactly? Have you tried the Toshiba site?

  • Qosmio G40: Vista Ultimate - control buttons do not work properly

    Hello friends,

I have a Qosmio G40 for a few months and everything works well until now.
The problem is related to the front control panel.

If I use Windows Media Player, PLAY/STOP/PAUSE/FORWARD/BACKWARD buttons work well, but if I try to use the other buttons like REC (in any case) or turning on LEDS or DOLBY, the button makes the usual sound, but nothing happens, does not open any program that is supposed to open.

Does anyone have an idea why this is happening. I tried to look for any software configuration of these buttons but can't seem to find.

My system is Windows Vista Ultimate Edition.

    Best regards
    Ricardo Monteiro

    Hello

The European driver Toshiba page provides the AV controller Manager
This tool allows you to customize and TOSHIBA AV Control button preset settings.

Maybe you should install this tool and it should check again.

In addition, it would be advisable to reinstall the VAP

  • Signal (PAL 60) record with the Qosmio G40 Line In (Capture) Option

I'm in Australia - and I have a lot of NTSC video tapes I want to MPEG...

These bands play very well on all the TVs/LCD TV in the House.

Qosmio G40 seems to have problems with PAL 60 signal that sends my VHS player...

My VHS/DVD from Toshiba drive is to convert NTSC to PAL 60 signal - as this VHS player bought in Australia - this seems to be the Australian standard bought a VHS/DVD player.

There is no option on the VHS player to the NTSC signal... I tried another VHS player - and it gives me the same output PAL 60, this player also could leave the NTSC signal...

So I wonder if the Qosmio G40 is able to record the signal PAL 60 - maybe I'm missing a setting somewhere...

I use Ulead movie maker software, which is supplied with the machine... but I don't see any options on the support PAL 60...
Maybe the TV card installed in the machine does not support PAL 60 - I can't find any info about this...

Maybe I need to use a software of different capture which will support PAL 60 options...
Or maybe I just buy a VHS of America drive, and qosmio q40 will capture the NTSC image very well... (I already have a few products from 110V at home)

    Any thoughts?

    Hello

I'm not sure if this is possible, but you can check the BIOS settings, if there is an option that would allows you to change settings of NTCS/PAL.

    Check it out
