  • FormCalc help - trying to multiply or divide based on the drop-down list

    So I'm a complete noob to this and Livecycle learning.

    I tried to make this formcalc script but its all wrong, I'm sure.  I have a dropdown menu with 3 variables (annual, quarterly, monthly), I need to take the amount in the box "given amount" and based on 3 variables come with the monthly amounts.

    If (giving regularity == 'Each year') then

    Amount given/12

    on the other

    If (giving regularity == "Quarterly") then

    Amount given/3

    on the other

    If (giving regularity == "Monthly") then

    Given amount * 1

    endif

    I'm sure it's very basic, but I would appreciate any advice from you in the pros.

    Hello

    Make sure that you call your objects with the names of right...

    Object names can not have spaces, so when you specify "Given the regularity" or "Given amount", both are bad...

    don't forget to refer to these values to the right objects

    If you are not sure how to call these objects, you can still use the features of LiveCycle with Ctrl + click on the object...

    For example:

    Make sure your cursor is in the Code Editor, while now Ctrl, hover your mouse over the object to, you should see the change in your mouse to an arrow pointing down, then click on the left button of your mouse (still in holding the CTRL key)

    In your editor, you will see the reference to the object that you want to retrieve the value, it's how you call your object

    I hope this will help you!

  • Is no vmdk file, but the script says, all virtual machines backed up Ok!

    Hello everyone;

    Please excuse any lack of details because this is the first time that I write. I've scoured internet for days now trying to find no matter how much detail that could help me solve the problem. I'm new in the world of script ESXi and ghettoVCB.

    My intention is to run several tasks on a schedule. Each type of backup (quarterly, monthly, weekly, daily and multiple) runs at a specific time. The planning section works very well.

    I'm hoping to solve this urgent backup, I should be able to solve reboot.

    Here is the command I use:

    /vmfs/volumes/datastore1/ghettoVCB.sh w /tmp/ghettoVCB-work.multiple f/vmfs/volumes/datastore1/vmlist-Multiple g/vmfs/volumes/datastore1/vmconfig-DataSet1-multiple-l /vmfs/volumes/datastore1/ghettoVCB_logs/ghettoVCB.Multiple_Backup.log

    vmconfig-DataSet1-multiple contains:

    # Multiple backups - rotation County 6

    #

    VM_BACKUP_VOLUME = / vmfs/volumes/Vault2-DataSet1/URANUS/Multiple

    DISK_BACKUP_FORMAT = thin

    VM_BACKUP_ROTATION_COUNT = 6

    POWER_VM_DOWN_BEFORE_BACKUP = 0

    ENABLE_HARD_POWER_OFF = 0

    ITER_TO_WAIT_SHUTDOWN = 4

    POWER_DOWN_TIMEOUT = 5

    SNAPSHOT_TIMEOUT = 15

    ENABLE_COMPRESSION = 0

    VM_SNAPSHOT_MEMORY = 0

    VM_SNAPSHOT_QUIESCE = 0

    VMDK_FILES_TO_BACKUP =

    Vmlist-multiple contains 1 server is listed:

    # List all virtual machines that are backed up several times a day

    HEAT

    The log indicates that the backup was successful - but it has not been the case. Backup size should be approximately 8 GB. However, when you look at the output folder, only the following files are here:

    HEAT.vmx

    STATUS.ok

    Question is now - where are the vmdk files that should be present?

    Output (-d debug) can be found here: http://pastebin.com/hMGphTL3

    So, here is what I observed:

    When you run the script, the snapshot only takes a few seconds to create and delete then. I'm seeing happens on the list of the tasks of vSphere Rencent (screenshot attached).

    If I create a snapshot manually - it will take much more time to create and delete a snapshot. The difference here is 6 minutes, and 4 seconds using the script create a snapshot manually.

    So my presumption is that he is not actually create the snapshot, although vSphere said it is being created. So why is it the case?

    Help, please.

    ADDENDUM:

    If I run the following:

    ./ghettoVCB.sh m HEAT

    The backup is successful.

    Your said he clearly did not config file to back up all files hard.

    VMDK_FILES_TO_BACKUP =

    I expect to see something like this if you want all the hard files

    VMDK_FILES_TO_BACKUP = "all".

  • Recalculation

    To the right,.

    We try to implement some future calculations in the logical layer and realized that "mago" fuction does not work with negative numbers to move toward the future. I don't see all the standard features that exist to do such a thing. I thought a few options at this point, but wanted to see what others had to offer / have done in the past. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

    My thoughts are:

    1 somehow all implement a few years before what she really is and do everything compared so that we can actually use x years/quarters/months off
    2. create a bunch of views materialized that have everything for different time spans (this will get very complicated probably)
    3 Creata a PL/SQL function to work in a similar way as the "mago" but to go ahead instead (have not figured out if I can call a custom in the logical layer still function)

    Thanks in advance,

    Josh

    Josh,

    All these functions work perfectly on the physical layer when you use join complex (not regular FK join).
    So you could join by Datetime field and use the TimeStampAdd function instead of a surrogate key.

    Then let me explain how I got this o/p.

    The first and second insert statement has given for months 04-2012 and 2012-05, the third statement now contains the line by quarter (Q2), which is April, may and June; Since we have already covered in April and may, only Jun is left, so we attributed 34,35 to 2012 - 06. Similarly, we separated Q1 (Jan, Feb, Mar), Q3 (July, August, September) and T4 (Oct, Nov, dec). One thing to watch is the row that contains the value of GUEST column as 'PY', this line has average prices for all quarter (T1 to T4) for this year (2013-CY), in this example.

    The table contains several PRODUCTS by TRADE_DATE.

    Let me know if you need more information,

    This seems to be a very clumsy way to store your data. Information on dates belonged in the DATE columns, not VARCHAR2s (such as '' 2012-04).
    In addition, relational database works best when each column contains 1 single piece of information. nstead of having a single VARCHAR2 column that tells so what period and how long it lasts, use 2 columns:
    (1) when the period begins (a DATE) and be
    (2A) is how much time the period (am a VARCHAR2 such as ', 'Q' or 'Y' is not serious), or
    (2B) another DATE showing when the period ends.
    If you had a conception of the good table, this work could probably be done at less than half of this amount of code and it would be much more effective.

    What role do the product column, the trade_date and invited them to play in this problem? If they are not paly any role, so do not include them in the sample data. If they do not play a role, make sure that the value is not the same on all ranks. This makes it difficult to see what you want and impossible to test.

  • assigning total quarterly for the first month

    I need to assign to the first month of a quarter total quarterly. To do this, I wrote the following expression:

    x [Level (month)] = if (equals (member (tax), firstChild ((tax) parent, financial)), "Demand" [parent (tax) Total], null "")

    Total demand in the district has a value. Calc goes through, but x is empty.

    I'm able to recover the total quarterly in there every month as follows: y = "Total Demand"[parent (tax)]. ". When I isolate firstChild() like this z = "Total Demand" [firstChild ((tax) parent, financial)] z Gets quarterly total every month - I expected to get the first month "total demand" attributed to z for all months.

    Would appreciate any suggestions on how to make this work.

    Maybe the javadoc is not clear. Replace parent (tax) by member (tax). And it should work.

    x [Level (month)] = if (equals (member (tax), firstChild (* member * (tax), financial)), "Demand" [parent (tax) Total], null "")

  • How to divide the monthly amount in weeks no fracture

    Hi, I'm developing a quarterly report where there will be 13 weeks in a quarter (always) and the need to display amounts against only 13 weeks.

    Hello

    To finish of Frank post (and using its formula), here's a way to get your results (and extend and adapt for your quarterly report):

    WITH bucket LIKE)

    SELECT ' 01 /' 02/2014 Mon, 15 amount OF double UNION ALL

    SELECT ' 01 / 03/2014 ', 5 double UNION ALL

    SELECT ' 01 /' 04/2014, 4 dual FROM

    ),

    mm AS)

    SELECT my, quantity, rownum bucket month_no

    ),

    week AS)

    N SELECT rownum FROM dual CONNECT BY level<=>

    )

    SELECT my 'months',

    ROW_NUMBER() over (ORDER BY Mon, n) 'week ',.

    WK n,

    CASE

    WHEN n<= mod="" (quantity,="" decode="" (month_no,="" 3,="" 5,="">

    THEN CEIL (quantity / DECODE (month_no, 3, 5, 4))

    ANOTHER FLOOR (amount / DECODE (month_no, 3, 5, 4))

    END "quantities".

    OF the week, mm

    WHERE month_no = 3

    OR (month_no (1,2) AND n)<=>

    )

    ORDER BY month_no, wk;

  • create active enforcement of planning with the quarters.

    Hi all

    How to use an application of planning with the quarters active in 11.1.2.1 with 12 months included. Is there a way to create an active application with quarters?

    Thank you very much

    Create the custom application with a period, and then add the quarters in the period dimension once the application has been created.

  • How to copy data from a quarter of a month it is.

    Hi all

    I get a file of my source system which provides data into 4 quarters. (see below)

    Product | Site | Component | Qty | Rate (Q1). Rate (Q2). Rate (Q3). Rate (Q4)

    Now, I need to load the data to all the 12 months using this file. In other words, I need Q1 rate data to be copied to Jan, Feb, and Mar rate.

    Please suggest me a solution.

    TIA,
    Gerard.

    What would you say to do in the State of charge. Copy Q1 rate twice (using create join) and do the same for the 2nd quarter 3 and 4, then label the columns with periods instead of the quarters. It would be much simpler to use a calc to spread their and so don't worry you have loaded data at higher levels. If other data are contained in the file, you may have two rules of loading to load your other data and load rates. You use the selection and rejection criteria and perhaps ignore columns to do this properly.
