  As Michael Murphy said, you cannot uninstall Windows Mail because it is part of Vista.

  Your ISP people do not know what as the h_ll they were talking about. Or maybe you don't understand what they told you. What either upgrading your ISP did has no bearing on your Windows Mail.
  Apart from Windows Mail cannot be uninstalled, there is no such thing as version 7 and 8.
  Windows Mail has long since run its course. It has been replaced by Windows Live Mail.
  The version you have (6.0.6000.16386) is the latest version.

  Talk to your ISP and get the straight facts. So maybe you want to post back.

  There are a few things you can try.  One is to compact and repair the database by using my Windows Mail utility (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).  Alternatively, you can try to remove your e-mail account and then close and reopen WinMail and see if you can get rid if these records then.  Then add your account to e-mail back again.   And then restart the computer.  If this does not help, then post back as otherwise you will have to reset the message store to fix it.
