Question about camera

Why the Xperia Z3 camera opened directly in view landscape? How can I prevent this and keep it in portrait mode?

I fixed it. Thank you all. I went to settings > apps > all > camera > clear data. And it is fixed.

  • Two questions about Camera Raw and Lightroom

    I am now shooting in RAW image format only and catalog images in Lightroom.

    My first question is: how to open an image in Camera Raw from Lightroom? When I right-click on an image in Lightroom, it gives me a choice to edit > Photoshop, but does not not the choice of editing in Camera Raw. In fact, when I'm outside of Lightroom and just double-click on one of these RAW images, it opens in Photoshop. What is going on? Before that I installed Lightroom, a double click on a RAW file would force the latter open in Camera RAW.

    My second question is: Lightroom seems to have all the same controls during processing of a RAW image as does plug in Camera Raw. Does this mean that I no longer need to open images in Camera Raw? I just did all my settings inside Lightroom? I guess that the xmp file is the same as modified in Lightroom or Camera Raw.

    Pleas put me straight on that.

    Thank you

    Ken

    Your second question:

    My second question is: Lightroom seems to have all the same controls during processing of a RAW image as does plug in Camera Raw.

    Responding to your first. Lightroom and ACR share code, rendering you get from Lightroom with the same parameters is therefore exactly the same as in ACR. What happens is that when you say "Edit in Photoshop", ACR is recalled by Lightroom and the development parameters are passed along. ACR then renders the RAW with these settings and open it in Photoshop. Then, because you already have a working for the settings interface, there is no point in showing them to you once again.

    Does this mean that I no longer need to open images in Camera Raw? I just did all my settings inside Lightroom?

    It depends on your workflow. I have more if open images in ACR directly like Lightroom offers a more effective interface in my opinion. Other people I'm sure that prefer the approach of Bridge/ACR.

    I guess that the xmp file is the same as modified in Lightroom or Camera Raw.

    Lightroom is not change the default sidecars. All changes are stored in the database. This allows you to have virtual copies with different parameters of development and more stuff like that. You can have Lightroom write using xmp sidecars "save metadata to file" in menu metadata in library or by turning on the automatic xmp file generation in preferences. There is usually no real point to do this however as "Edit in Photoshop" route works fine. It is really useful when you have a stream of mixed production that still use the bridge. If you share images with others, you are better of DNG, exporter or subsets of images as catalogs with the included images.

  • Question about Camera RAW update

    Hello

    I work with the CS3 version on a Windows 7 computer.  I just discovered that I use RAW 4.0.  There are several updates since 4.1 and ending with 4.6 (I think).  My question is should I update 4.0 to 4.6 or should I go from 4.0 to 4.1, 4.2. until I reached 4.6?

    Thanks for the help

    Go right at 4.6.  It's all included.

  • A few questions about my new Z5 Compact camera

    A few days ago I bought the Xperia Z5 Compact (and updated the marshmallow) to replace my Z1 Compact and meanwhile read the manual and looked into the camera settings. Now I have 2 questions about the camera.

    (1) according to this manual, it takes an option to 'adjust the color and brightness manually. I rember having seen this option once in the form of 2 sliders, but now I cannot reproduce it more and find more options in the settings. What should I do wrong or overlooking?

    (2) I noticed that I can manually put only iso for resolution of 8 MP or less. When I put a 20 MP resolution, the iso setting is grayed and automatically the value. Is this a normal behavior?

    Thanks in advance for the answers.

    Hi @Rijnton,

    I just tested this on my Xperia X but it runs on Android M, it should be similar to the Z5 Compact (although there may be some differences).

    Color and brightness options may not be available in manual mode, but are for higher Auto and video.

  • Questions about Stor.e TV +.

    Does anyone have a contact point to raise a complaint about the lack of service from Toshiba? I spent £160 on a TV + Stor.e and did have some problems with it, as you can see from the few posts that I raised. After spending £160 on a point I don't understand why if the forum is the only option to support what he is no Toshiba engineers on this issue, who are able to answer my questions. I do not expect a 24 / 7 hotline for £160 I spent, but it would be good to know that a Toshiba engineer could answer my questions about their products. Especially since it's the second one I had which suffers from a cosmetic defect, I had to stick to feet about it as the Unit came with 4 pads ride around the box. I also have my doubts about the HDMI because it seems to be very sensitive to any movement in the area, causing the connection to remove.

    I got a Western Digital box media for more than five years and had no problem with this, the only reason why I changed, it was to make use of the connection to the local network, the HDMI connection and the fact it supported more than file formats. FSR this device was abit of a disappointment for me. So if someone could point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful.

    Hello

    I can understand that you are not happy with the current situation and usually if you buy a product it should properly expect and do no problem.

    As you probably already seen here it s a user to only user forum. This means that you can speak with normal people like you and me and there is no official support from Toshiba.

    In your case, it would be best if you contact an authorized service provider or call the Toshiba UK. The phone number, you can find on the site of Toshiba UK Web:
    http://UK.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com

    Just give the guy a call and explain your situation. I'm sure they can give you a detailed answer and if your TV Stor.e + must be repaired or not. When warranty hardware repair is free.

    I hope I could help you a little bit :)

  • Question about "Windows 8.1 DG to Windows 7 Pro 64-bit" and Windows product key

    I have acquired a recnet ThinkPad T450 fdrom a retialer online (NCIX) and I hav ea a few questions about the installed Windows operating system.

    Before I just go further, HRE are some information about my particular system.

    Lenovo ThinkPad T450

    Model: 20BV00BUS

    CPU: Intel Core i5-4300U

    RAM: 4 GB

    Under the product description, it was stated "Windows 8.1 DG Windows 7 Pro 64." My understnading, the ThiknPad has been installed with Windows 8.1, but downgraded to Windows 7. There is also a Windows 8 Pro badge sticker at the bottom of the matchine.

    Is it possible, at the end of the user/consumer, to alter the functioning ti repressive back Windows 8.1?

    Can I create a recovery with Windows 8.1 disk?

    A separate but related matter relates to the Windows product key.

    I noticed the Ultrabook do not come with a sticker / label with the Windows product key (i.e. COST). Some quick research indicated that the Windows key is programmed into the BIOS.

    This indeed true (I wish an audit)?

    The key is visible in some way (for when you need to reinstall the operating system. I have not tried to enter the BIOS at the moment)?

    Thank you for taking the time to consider my question.

    Kind regards

    Victor L.

    Hi Victor,

    I'm in the same boat as you type, but want to keep the facilities of Windows 7 rather than pass them to 8. Just like you, I buy our Lenovo from different retailers and they come with windows 7 installed through the Windows 8 lower upgrade program.

    We had one or two laptops come with a recovery media (for windows 8/8.1 only) but have noticed that all laptops now come with no physical media or codes for the recovery. WIN8 stickers, you described is more came with the license key on the sticker (it comes to stop you using the same license again and again, microsoft will get more money if you buy another license etc.). I also saw that the key is essentially located in the BIOS but were not able to test what we use any of windows 8. I use it even at home!

    To answer your question, you can get a recovery of Lenovo for Windows 8 media!

    Go to the following link: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/lenovorecovery

    (It help you understand why this method is used on this page as well)

    Select Start,

    Please have your serial number of your laptop, (to find it go to this link: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/find-product-name)

    If you qualify (which you will very probably) Lenovo will ship for free, recovery disks give it a go, took me 2 minutes.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards, Max.

  • question about cleaning the sensor of the A57

    Dear community of Sony,

    I have several questions about the cleaning of the sensor of the A57.

    Recently, I noticed several dark specs appearing on images when shooting at low opening (F20, F22), especially when there are high for them (like the sky in a landscape photo) contrast. To my knowledge, I've categorized as possible of dust on the sensor. I have read the section of the manual about cleaning the sensor and followed the procedure. However, the problem remained. I have previous experience with cleaning of the more resistant the probe of a Sony NEX dust particles, so I applied it to the A57. I used the specialized sensor cleaning tools combining two parts kit - wet and dry. Noted little dust on translucent mirror as well, so I cleaned up afterwards. Later, I considered this mirror could have some specialized coatings.

    So my first question is: should I have done some permanent damage the mirror or the sensors? Currently, the camera works OK, although some features of dust still remain. It seems that I had pushed some of them to the edges of the sensor.

    I'm not so happy with the tool that I used. I'm thinking about this one for a more thorough cleaning:

    http://www.digitaltoyshop.co.UK/Eyelead_sensor_cleaning_kit_SCK-1_Sony_Alpha_A57_t2836_6789

    It is marketed as a tool for A57. Should I use it?

    Thank you in advance?

    Best regards Angel Marinov

    PS: I'm really happy with my Sony A57 and the NEX. They made me a fan of Sony. So, I want to use this topic to also say thank you to the developers of Sony.

    Hello Angel!

    Read the following steps carefully and let us know if you have any other questions.

  • question about the mixture of OSes

    I have a question about installing a dual boot.

    Someone recently bought a copy of Windows 7, but they had the wrong version. They got the 32-bit version instead of the 64-bit and for some reason the store refuses to return or Exchange it.
    They offer it to me that they have to buy the 64-bit version.

    I'm not sure if I need it, but I thought I could try on my laptop. I just realized that I type that they never told me what version of Windows 7 it is.

    This laptop was given to me second hand. It came with Vista Home Premium. I installed XP on another partition, and was so pleased with the results that I've never bothered to fix the Vista partition to get the job to dual-boot.

    If this proves to be Windows 7 Professional or Windows 7 Ultimate edition, am I having difficulties to the upgrade of the Vista partition? I guess I could install it from scratch, but I'm not sure if all the drivers are available.
    Can I try the drivers Vista 7 the way you sometimes try 2000 drivers under XP?

    As you can see, I have several issues of concern. 7 same detects the installation of Vista and make an update if I don't fix it so that the Vista bootloader is present? The XP installation program has replaced the Vista bootloader, and I've never bothered to fix it.

    Finally, is there another recourse that the store for my friend Exchange 7 32-bit 64-bit 7 to save money?

    Looks like somebody bought an OEM of Windows 7 version from a "commercial" version comes with a 64-bit and 32-bit installation DVD.  If someone has already installed and active that the OEM 32-bit version, then, unfortunately, this license cannot be used on another computer since the OEM licenses are permanently tied to the first computer it's installed and activated on.

  • Question about the charging light on the venue Pro 11 (5130)

    I'm curious... read these discussions in recent weeks... found this work with the Tablet for about 2.5 hours after... I was up to 75% of battery. Connect the tablet to install a software... noticed 75%, not charging. Stop... removed the battery and put it back... He then read 75%, in charge. OK... so what's fixed now... a question about the manual of the system. Said that when the battery is charging, a white light is supposed to be on... where? When that I start, I see a momentary white light at the top of the screen, by the front camera... but when it is plugged and the loading and off... white light no.... No a - I misread? Thank you

    Light (color is white when the load) is located next to the power switch (top, right). Mine re-load very fast.

    White light goes off (or does not) when the Tablet is fully charged (the light on the charger is always on when it is plugged into the outlet)...

  • Questions about discussions...

    Hello

    I have a new app to do that requires network access.

    I have read this EXCELLENT post from peter_strange:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Java-development/connecting-your-BlackBerry-http-and-socket-c...

    Because I can't use BIS - B because I'm not a partner of the Alliance, I wanted to take a look at the new OS 5.0 network API and see how it works.

    I know that network connections should be performed in a separate thread.

    I'm far from being an experienced Blackberry developer... so I have a few questions about discussions.  I looked around the Internet, read on the forum, read the documentation, did some tests and so far, I came up with this code:

    SerializableAttribute public class HTTPConnection extends UiApplication {}
    Public Shared Sub main (String [] args) {}
    HTTPConnection PAP = new HTTPConnection();
    theApp.enterEventDispatcher ();
    }

    public HTTPConnection() {}
    pushScreen (new HTTPConnectionScreen());
    }
    }

    class HTTPConnectionScreen extends form {}
    public HTTPConnectionScreen() {}
    setTitle ("HTTPConnection");
    Add (new RichTextField ("choose a type of connection :"));

    final RadioButtonGroup = new RadioButtonGroup() rbGroup;
    RadioButtonField radioButtonF1 = new RadioButtonField ("Direct TCP", rbGroup, false);
    RadioButtonField radioButtonF2 = new RadioButtonField ("WAP 1.0/1.1", rbGroup, false);
    RadioButtonField radioButtonF3 = new RadioButtonField ("WAP 2.0", rbGroup, false);
    RadioButtonField radioButtonF4 is new RadioButtonField ("BES/MDS", rbGroup, false);.
    RadioButtonField radioButtonF5 = new RadioButtonField ("BIS-B", rbGroup, false);
    RadioButtonField radioButtonF6 = new RadioButtonField ("WiFi", rbGroup, false);
    Add (radioButtonF1); Add (radioButtonF2); Add (radioButtonF3); Add (radioButtonF4); Add (radioButtonF5); Add (radioButtonF6);

    FieldChangeListener listener = new FieldChangeListener() {}
    ' Public Sub fieldChanged (field field, int context) {}
    ConnectionThread ct = new ConnectionThread (rbGroup.getSelectedIndex () + 1);
    CT. Start();
    }
    };

    ButtonField buttonField = new ButtonField ("Connect", ButtonField.CONSUME_CLICK);
    buttonField.setChangeListener (listener);
    Add (buttonField);
    }

    / * method of onSavePrompt override default to avoid being asked if I want to record every time * /.
    protected boolean onSavePrompt() {}
    Returns true;
    }
    }

    class ConnectionThread extends Thread {}
    private int transportType;
    public ConnectionThread (int n) {}
    transportType = tt;
    }

    public void run() {}
    ConnectionFactory connFact = new ConnectionFactory();
    ConnectionDescriptor connDesc = connFact.getConnection ("URL", transportType, null);
    If (connDesc! = null) {}
    try {}
    HttpConnection httpConn = (HttpConnection) connDesc.getConnection ();
    httpConn.setRequestMethod (HttpConnection.POST);
    httpConn.setRequestProperty ("Content-Type", "application/x-www-formulaires-urlencoded");
    OutputStream out = httpConn.openOutputStream ();
    out. Write (Integer.ToString (transportType). GetBytes());
    int responseCode = httpConn.getResponseCode ();
    If (responseCode == HttpConnection.HTTP_OK) {}
    UiApplication.getUiApplication () .invokeLater (new Runnable() {}
    public void run() {}
    Dialog.Alert ("- SUCCESSFUL CONNECTION-");
    }
    });
    }
    If (httpConn! = null) httpConn.close ();
    } catch (IOException e) {}
    System.Err.println ("IOException Caught:" + e.getMessage ());
    }
    }
    }
    }

    In fact, this code works very well... but I want to improve it, and I have a few questions:

    1. I think that right now, every time I click on the 'Connect' button, I start a new thread. I would like to end this thread in the "run" method, but I don't really know how to access the variable 'ct' from there.   Counsel on how to do it?  Or maybe always use the same thread until my application is closed?

    2. in the FieldChangeListener of my "Submit" button, I want to access the value of radio box.  I did work, but I had to do my 'final' variable  What is the right way to do it?

    3 - to display a dialog box with 'Successful connection', I just wanted to write something in my main screen.  How I do that?

    I'm just a bit confused as to just what set up when you use a separate thread.

    Thanks for your advice!

    Edit: Hidden URL I connect to...

    That's what I call a good question! (now I'm wondering why the forums do not work with opera correctly, in any case, here my baldy to the answer format): 1. your thread "dies" when it's over, no need to close it. 2 Yes 3. You can use a reminder. See for example http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/javatips/jw-javatip10.html

  • Question about encryption for a VPN established between two of our sites

    We have two routers Cisco 2951, one at our main location and one at a branch.  An engineer for a local company came and worked all the parameters, including the VPN between the two men.

    For an upcoming exam, the firm wanted to know what kind of security/encryption has been implemented between the two routers.  The engineer is no longer available, so I've went over our configuration files for each of the routers and will have questions about what to tell them (I'll be the first to admit that some of this stuff is over my head).

    I enclose the portions of the configs with "crypto" information he put in place.  If you see something wrong, or need something extra, let me know.

    Thanks in advance!

    That's what you use:

    Phase 1: 3DES, SHA1, PSK, Group2 DH (1024 bits), life time 86400 s

    Phase2: 3DES, SHA1

    Which is today considered legacy crypto, but probably nothing to worry. The crypto-config has always considered that there is "room for improvement"...

  • Recently bought a laptop computer; A few questions about the offer Upgrade to Windows 8

    I have a few questions about the Upgrade of Windows 8 offer for new computers.  I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite S855-S5268 of amazon.com, which came with Windows 7 Home Premium.  Toshiba already has a beta version of drivers and utilities for Windows 8 for the S855 on their Web site.

    (1) I bought my laptop in July of this year, and I've not yet registered for 8 Windows Upgrade offer with Microsoft.  Am I still eligible to receive the upgrade, if I sign up soon?
    (2) if I buy the upgrade through this offer, I'll be able to download an ISO file so I can burn the installation media, or do I need to upgrade to Windows 7?
    (3) if I will be able to burn the installation media, I'll be able to erase my hard drive and do a clean install of Windows 8 (which I'd rather do, I have a lot of backups of my data).  I am aware that I would probably need to provide my product key Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM during the new installation, because it is an upgrade and not a full version; This isn't a big deal, because my Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM product key is stuck at the bottom of my laptop.
    (4) my current copy of Windows 7 is activated by seeing my BIOS (I have a traditional BIOS, not a UEFI).  If I had to switch to Windows 8 and decide then I'd rather back in Windows 7, for example, a few months later, I'll be able to do that (I burned recovery of Windows 7 with the Toshiba utility disks, which I did), and Windows 7 will continue to activate by seeing my BIOS, even after the installation (and later remove) Windows 8?

    Yes, the registration period is between June 2, 2012 to January 31, 2013.
    (2) if I buy the upgrade through this offer, I'll be able to download an ISO file so I can burn the installation media, or do I need to upgrade to Windows 7?

    Yes, the Upgrade Wizard of Windows 8 will allow you to create a bootable DVD or you can grab the ESD file and save it.

    Yes and there are better ways to reinstall Windows 8 without using the installation disc, you can use the reset and refresh.

    These steps will take you through refreshing your PC:

    · Press the Windows key + C on your keyboard to show the charms (if you use a touch screen: touch the right edge of your screen and drag your finger to the left)

    · Click settings

    · Click change PC settings

    · Click general in the left column

    · Under refresh your PC without affecting your files, click Start

    Then follow the instructions that will be provided on-screen to cool your PC.

    As long as you have a recovery disk which you should create or use the construction in the recovery partition, Yes, it will self activate.

  • Questions about LR CC conversion

    I am a user of LR5/CS6 and planned to convert it into CC because it came out.  I have questions about the conversion process.  More precisely:

    1. I use a single catalog LR5.  Can I continue to use this same catalog LR CC or I have to create and populate a new catalog?

    2 will be my LR5 brushes, presets, calibrations etc camera automatically fill in LR CC or they will have to be reloaded?

    3 will be my actions CS6, adjustment presets, application frameworks, etc. automatically fill in PS CC or these will reloaded?

    I guess, overall, my question is: how transparent is the move to the CC?  Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide including the pitfalls you've encountered.

    Richard

    Once you switch to LR CC or LR 6, you will have two files different catalogue (the catalogue LR 5 and LR 6 CC/LR catalog), but you should not use the catalogue LR 5 more. There is no benefit, just use the most recent catalog.

    Yes, your brushes and presets and calibrations automatically become part of the new catalog.

    Hello

    I have 3 questions about equipment and tools of VM version, can someone help? Thank you in advance.

    1. is the machine hardware version virtual file OVF/EGGS associated with?  OVF/EGGS exported vSphere files contain the virtual hardware version information?

    2. review I have a VM in vSphere 6.0 platform with version 11 of hardware and the latest Tools (cam with ESXi 6.0 U2) VM, I can export to an EGG file, then import it on vSphere 5.1 platform? If can, what version of the target material is VM?

    3. can you vmtools high version with lower vSphere platform? For example, I have a virtual machine with version 11 of material and tools the latest VM (ESXi 6 U2), later I move the 5.1 ESXi virtual computer, should I go down the vmware tools? Is there a compatibility issue?

    Hello

    1. Yes, if you unzip the eggs and open the FVO in an editor you see:

    Family of virtual hardware

    0

    VMX-08

    2. you can not. Vmware 11 material is not supported by 5.1.

    3 didn't cause you cannot import vmware 11 and 5.1. Works may be more high vmtools as long as you keep the material support for 5.1 version.
