Question for a memory upgrade ENVY Ultrabook 6 t-1000

There is no sign of memory on this machine, so it seems that I have to remove the front panel together in order to access the memory. I don't want to damage the computer so I would appreciate some advice on how to do it properly.

You will need to remove the case _ all background there are 12 screws now in place.

Go to your model as seen in the screenshot, and when you get to the appearance of the video page for Basic wardrobe in the left column.

http://h20574.www2.HP.com/default.htm?lang=en&cc=us&hpappid=psml

Make sure you are connected before you click the link and give time for the video to load.

After you remove the base, click on the video of memory because you have to follow some precautions.

From my research, no whitelist more for new HP laptops (manufactured after 2014). Sounds like your machine has only 1 antenna so you can use the second one on the list.

  • HP Envy Ultrabook 6 t-1000 CTO: HARD drive is not displayed

    Hello.

I had the Windows Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) once or twice when using simple everyday applications on my Ultrabook. The results were either not different on Mode without failure. After awhile, I started having 'No Bootable disc' error while starting up. Recovery (press F11) will not appear so. I tried the HP Diagnostics (by pressing F2 at startup) and Test the hard drive as well as the Test of memory shows PASSED on the formats of short or long.

    I tried the following:

    1. I did some research on Google and entered in the BIOS/Insyde utility (by pressing F10 at startup), loaded default installation (by pressing F9), saved changes and did a restart, but I get the error again.

    2. I downloaded Windows 7 64-bit Microsoft store, created a boot USB and plugged. I was able to access the Windows Installation Page, but he wouldn't show my hard drive at all.

    3. I find the support page of my product on the site HP and downloaded the latest drivers, put it in a USB device and booted up the system from the Windows Setup disc. On the page where it was supposed to show my internal hard drives, it showed only USB drives and there is an option "Load Driver" I clicked on and selected the driver files I downloaded from the HP website. Everything was going well until I chose iaStor.inf... this time, the system has hung up and the BSOD appeared with an error stating the file 'iaStor.sys '.

    My questions:

1 if diagnostic Tests are passed, I can assume that the material is well?

    2. Although I already placed an order for HP recovery discs, I doubt if it could help because my HARD drive drivers seem to be missing. What is your opinion?
    3. is there a way to reset zero/reload drivers BIOS/Insyde utility?

Unfortunately at that I disagree with Paul and I think that you may be looking for a bad motherboard, but we would like first to try to remove the disc of WSSD 32 gig.

    Here is the Manual:

See Page 40. Unfortunately, this model is a little difficult to disassemble, but measures are set out in the manual. If it is still under warranty, you can't do that. If the hard drive passes the test of F2 then I tend to think that it's not the hard drive.

  • HP Envy Ultrabook 6 t-1000 BSOD - iaStor.sys

As I was using my laptop, I noticed that the antivirus software, Malwarebytes, asked that I had to restart my laptop. So not much and I restarted. Now, whenever I turn it on it gives me two options: '(recommended launch Startup Repair' and 'Start Windows normally'. If I choose 'Launch Startup Repair', it brings me straight to the BSOD. If I choose "Start Windows normally", it takes back me to two options. Now, I tried to go to three different types of Modes safe, but just brought me two choices of before which leads to the BSOD. The BSOD said:

  • Dell PowerEdge T610 (memory upgrade)

I bought Dell 16 GB certified replacement Memory Module for select Dell - 2Rx4 1333 MHz RDIMMS LV systems

Currently, I have 8 GB of RAM (1 GB on every slot machines). After I installed this new memory and restart the server, it shows invalid memory configuration. So, I changed the memory setting in BIOS 'Advanced ECC' to 'optimize memory '. But it detects more than my current speed of the memory is 8 GB. Is there something wrong with the configuration of the memory? I tried to re - establish the new RAM.

    Help, please. Thank you.

    Hello.

Your memory configuration is not valid because the channel memory CH0, is not balanced with channels CH1 & CH2. Refer to the schematic illustration below:

In order to balance the memory on these channels, we should have memory DIMM in:

A1, A2 & A3 = B1, B2 & B3 in addition also A4, A5 & A6 is B4, B5 & B6. That's why CH0, CH1 & CH2 memory modules must be identical for the performance and optimal memory configuration. Depending on the upgrade amount of memory you are looking for, you can buy 1 more 16 GB DIMMS and then fill in slots A1 B1 & offer a total capacity of 32 GB. This will provide more flexibility for future memory upgrade

  • HP ENVY Notebook m6-1105dx: question to DDR3L DDR3 memory upgrade

I have a laptop of HP ENVY m6-1105dx.

    I would like to upgrade from 1.5V to DDR3L 1.35v DDR3.

Is this possible without damage to my laptop?

    Thank you

    Joan

The upgrades only to memory that can be made to your laptop is installation of memory modules that are guaranteed compatible by a manufacturer of memory.

Your laptop is not like a mother gaming for a desktop computer. You are limited to the settings "protect me from myself" available in your BIOS. You cannot change the tension of memory to allow the motherboard to accept other modules of memory. Installation of memory with others that the specifications published by HP or other than guaranteed compatible memory modules will probably reward you with no experience to have fun a non laptop startup.

That said, I recommend you do a search on google for HP ENVY m6-1105dx memory upgrade. Stick with well-known brands to avoid surprises.

  • HP ENVY Sleekbook 4-1000en: upgrading memory on ENVY 4-1000en

    Hello

Since I have some basic computer knowledge, but I want to be sure before you go for it, I need your advice.

I have a HP ENVY Sleekbook 4-1000en and I have recently upgraded to HDD and the OS.

I think the upgrade of RAM have, as far as I know that you need 2 memories of the same type, so I guess I can't buy an another 4 GB right?

Do I need 2 x 4 GB of DDR3 memory, of the same type to make it work? For example they would work very well

    http://www.corsair.com/en/vengeance-8gb-high-performance-sodimm-memory-upgrade-kit-cmsx8gx3m2a1600c9 ?

Finally the upgrade memory requires any other configuration after plugin in? Is a format for example?

    Thanks for your time.

    Hello

The following link shows the specifications of your computer:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03362810

It has 4 GB of RAM now. The question is 4 GB in a dwelling or in the two slots (2 + 2).

b in the case of a home, you can just buy another 4GB with SAME part/characteristics of the EXISTING RAM and install in the second slot.

    (b) if in 2 slots (IE 2 + 2), then throw them both and buy 2 new sticks 4 GB each. Agin use even care.

You don't need to format RAM. Moreover, we have only to format HDD/SSD but not RAM. And Yes, push in the two slots must be same same specs even marks to be able to get all the benefits.

    Kind regards.

  • Envy 15 k233ca: memory upgrades and hhd

I'm trying to find out if the k233ca has a capacity of upgrade. By reading the plug here and there, the motherboard has 2 slots and there is 1 to 8 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3L module.

When I called customer service to see if there was a favorite of the seller, they told me that the Ram was not expandable as the machine has only 1 location and tot of the MB does support up to 8 GB.

    Well...

As a technician, I'm leaning towards believing the former rather than the latter, and since I did not open upward again, I checked Everest and it shows 2 slots, one with a 8 GB module and a location empty.

Before I open the unit to find this information for me, I wondering if someone is more familiar with this device, or can point me to a more detailed specifications and current page?

    My questions are specifically,

    1. What is the model of the motherboard more precisely and will support 16 gig?
    2. This is a configuration of dual slot, so I can use 2 x 8 GB modules?
    3. Can I use a low latency Ram? replace the original module to match of course...
    4. Is there a QVL for this MB?

Now for the HHD, a question... This machine will support SSD?

    Based on the HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC HP ENVY Notebook PC - Maintenance and Service Guide of m7, it seems you should be able to switch to 16 GB of RAM and an SSD as follows;

    Memory

    Two SODIMM slots
Support of the DDR3L - 1600 MHz Dual Channel
Supports up to 16 GB of RAM in the following configurations:
    ● 4096 MB total memory (4096 × 1).
    ● 8192 MB total memory (4096 × 2)
    ● 8192 MB total memory (8192 × 1).
    ● 12288 MB total memory (8192MB 4096)
    ● 16384 MB total memory (8192 × 2)

    Hard drives

Supports 6.35 cm (2.5 in.) 9.5 mm hard disks (. 37-in) and thicknesses of 7.0 mm (. 28 - in) (all hard drives use the same bracket)
    Storage SATA m2 (Port0)
    Accelerometer / HDD protection support
    Supports the following drives:
    ● 1.5 to 5400 RPM, 9.5 mm
    ● 1 TB 5400 RPM, 9.5 mm
    ● 750 GB 5400 RPM 9.5 mm
    ● 500 GB 5400 RPM 7mm / 9.5 mm for PC portable HP ENVY 15 only
    The hybrid configurations
    ● 1 TB 5400 + 8 GB NAND hybrid disc HARD 9.5 mm
    ● 750 GB 5400 + 8 GB NAND HARD 9.5 mm drive hybrid
    SSD drive

Only configured with up to 8 GB system memory:
    ● 256GO M.2 SATA (MLC)
    ● 256GO M.2 SATA (TLC)
Double storage configuration for the HP Envy 17 computer models
    ● 1 TB (5400) 9. 5 mm + 256 GB SSD SATA in m2 (TLC)
    ● 1 TB (5400) 9. 5 mm + 256 GB SSD SATA in m2 (MLC)

Please note that it requires an extensive disassembly and reassembly of the computer to make these improvements, including

remove, replace or loosening the screws up to 83. Also, note that other RAM/HDD/SSD configurations can run on this computer. It may be possible to have a facility that includes 16GB of RAM, a standard SATA III SSD and/or m2 SATA SSD card, but you will have to experiment to see specifically what works on your model.

  • 9150 memory Upgrade - Question once again

    Good day to all,

I have 2, Dimension 9150 who receive upgrades. The first machine was fine with OS WIN 7 / 32 PRO. Updated BIOS (A07), not installed the required software, no problem, everything no problem. RAID driver install also, no problem. Problem I have is the memory upgrade. Get machine 2 update, but not until this problem is resolved.

Been revised post old topic of memory and still has not found an absolute remedy to my question. Machine (1 and 2) are 2 GB; 4 512 PC2-4200 (all locations showing on bios config).  I installed 4; 1 GB PC2-5300. Problem? Must not like system accepts 4 GB maximum and is also accepted speed Max.

My problem is 2 GB in slot 1-2 (white) are good, no problems (boots to windows without error beeps). Check the BIOS and find sticks of memory are reading fix it. When I add the other 2 sticks of 3-4 (black), error on boot beeps and lights 1-3 lights telling me memory error.

I recently updated a dimension 4700 and used memory not dell Komputer Bay. Could see all the modules and showed 3.76, so I bought the same memory for this machine. I know that in the past, Dell machines are "FINICKY" when it comes to memory.

Is this the case? If so, Crucial memory has been discussed and I might add 2 (2 GB each)? That's what I was not able to see the answers. Part of the crucial says Yes, post only memory. The other Yes was that I could use sticks of 2 GB. Spec note 1 GB is max stick, per slot.

I am at a loss, if you're looking for an idea on a direction.

Yes, low density 2 rank INTEL chipset compatible ram works fine. The other way to say it isn't that 380 Precsion ecc ram works fine.   The GX620 has the same problem where we will see more ram by the bios but total ram is limited to 4 concerts by the chipset.  Upgrade to a precision 380 allows a full 8 gigabytes of ram.

You could put 4 x 2 gig and he would show even in the bios but the ram would not be usable and the machine does not start with 64 bit OS.

  • HP Probook b 6450 memory upgrade question

    Hi all

I seem to have a strange question seeks to upgrade the memory in a HP 6450 b probook (i5 - 480 m & ATI card). The laptop came with 2 GB of sps p/n 598856-002, which is ram 1333 mhz 1.5V with the manufacturer being ramaxel. I ordered and installed a few sticks of kingston 4 GB

    http://h30094.www3.HP.com/product/SKU/10473659/mfg_partno/KTH-X3BS/4G

Mounted to them and all appeared to be as well as the operating system (win 7 32 bit pro) showed the recognized as 8 GB stick and 3 GB usable, the bios also reported 8 GB as well. However the moment that a 64 bit OS (Linux or Windows) is tempted to run just the laptop falls down or crashes

I already tried this upgrade with two sticks of crucial memory but had exactly the same problem, so think about crucial memory was the question I put to the supplier and ordered the kingstons rather.

I saw very similar question mentioned here:

    http://www.TomsHardware.co.UK/Forum/328016-30-memory-upgrade-ProBook

    and

    http://superuser.com/questions/580512/HP-ProBook-6450b-not-booting-after-memory-upgrade

My instinct suggests this notebook can be very picky about the memory chips, it may have to be a 4 GB key 16 chip versus chip 8 4 GB sticks.

Thoughts and help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    You are the very welcome.

Yes, I have never, ever install any module of memory in my notebooks from HP that does not 16 chips.

All the chips I use - 2 gigs and up, have 16 chips (8 on each side).

    Never had a problem.

The only problem I have is that I never recived one Win8 disc, it came pre-installed on the laptop (no CD drive). If I had to get a new drive, how would I go about moving on my windows install? (Really want to buy a second copy for the laptop) Is it still possible?

Of course cancel the guarantee is not something that is particularly important to me, and exchanging components of PC is nothing new to me, however Exchange disk main hard of a computer with a copy of windows that I don't want to lose is something I've ever done. Download this ISO OEM W8 file and use it to install W8.  He will work with the product key in the BIOS.
