  As long as it's a normal file based Virtual Machine then yes CCC will save it however if it is the partition Boot Camp running as a Virtual Machine of the CCC do not back up the Boot Camp partition.  For this you need WinClone.

• Cannot remove security file Carbon Copy Cloner in El Capitan

  OS X on Macbook Pro 10.11.2.  I dragged Net Carbon Copy Cloner file to the trash and tried to empty the trash.  I get a series of error messages indicating that the various files may not be emptied because they are currently in use.  I tried to empty the Recycle Bin by using Terminal Server and freeware, Trash it! but receive the error messages that the action is not allowed.  I've never had such a problem before.  This represents nearly 5 GB of files that I can't remove.  Help, please.

• Question for users of handcent SMS

  I tried handcent twice now.  However, whenever I use it, I get 2 emails.  One in stock and one in handcent.  If I use handcent default I can read the SMS, but the icon text remains there until I can go to my messages in stock.  How can I 'disable' stock messages so that I can just receive messages with Handcent.  Thank you.

  You will always receive messages in both. What you need to do is go into the settings of the native application of messing around and turn off notifications. Then, you are only notified by Handcent

  I am a developer Oracle and prompt to convert the script to copy/clone oracle 9i and oracle 11g db. (without using RMAN)

  I spent using oracle9i db scripts and the steps are as follows

  (1) the control of the script file creation
  ALTER database backup controlfile to trace noresetlogs

  (2) creating the LINK for udump, cdump and bdump

  LN - sf/apps/oracle/diag/rdbms/SOURCEDB/SOURCEDB/bdump/apps/oracle/admin/SOURCEDB/bdump
  LN - sf/apps/oracle/diag/rdbms/SOURCEDB/SOURCEDB/cdump/apps/oracle/admin/SOURCEDB/cdump
  LN - sf/apps/oracle/diag/rdbms/SOURCEDB/SOURCEDB/udump/apps/oracle/admin/SOURCEDB/udump
  (2) take the info from the data path files in a file of source db
  Select file_name in sys.dba_data_files
  Union select sys.dba_temp_files file_name
  Union select name from v$ controlfile
  Union select Member from v$ logfile;
  (3) TURN OFF THE SOURCE DB
  (4) amending the control file

  CREATE CONTROLFILE
  ....
  LOGFILE
  DATA FILE
  RECOVER THE DATABASE
  -Database can now be opened normally.
  ALTER DATABASE OPEN;
  (5) changing the queue (STEP1) control replacing the SOURCE db DB TARGET

  Fortunately, I ran the same script for ORACLE11G it works and DB is also copied to 11G.

  As mentioned earlier, all or the features to be added depends on many factors i.e. you have the use of this feature, are you allowed to use this etc etc. If you are a developer, someone see what features you used in any other 11g of your environment. Your script should do the part of cloning. Features added in the cloned part can happen later.

  I publish a series of lessons created in Captivate 3 .swf files. They are posted on a web site for users to several different offices work with. Most users will be connecting through light client machines (with limited memory / power) running Internet Explorer v 6.
  
  I have a reporting office when they try to do the test, it ignores the issues. (I had disabled the ability to go back, I'll be back on to try to reduce the problem that entails).
  
  This sounds like a performance/network problem or a problem of Flash/Captivate/IE? Any suggestions?

  Additional research, I discovered the lesson takes 90-98% of CPU on the NEW terminals.

  I am new to virtualization of questions and I would like to copy/clone VMs
  to an ESXi host to another, but I don't know what is the best way
  to achieve this is.

  The background is as follows:

  • Two identical ESXi hosts (hardware/software) running ESXi v5.1.
  • An active VM (Windows 2008 R2) on each host

  The goal is to have on the host 'A' sleep copy of the virtual machine
  running on host 'B' and 'B' have a copy sunset
  on "A".

  Ideally, the copy/clone should take place without turning off the virtual machine running and
  can be automated / on demand.

  I tried to clone a virtual machine running, and it seems to work but the VM cloned
  had lost the original network configuration.

  We want that exact copies of virtual machines ready to be awakened in the case of an ESXi
  loss of the host.

  You see, I started with iPhoto and later began to use Aperture.  With iPhoto and Aperture, you can have ALL the metadata below the thumbnails, (nice).  Well, I put all my images descriptions in the keywords section because it didn't really matter, because these programs could show them as thumbnails.

  Now, I use this wonderful program of Photos and I found out that it will ONLY show the title of"the image in the thumbnails.  I've got on 30 000 images with keywords but no title.  I want to move / copy the text in the keywords section in the section of the title. I'm not a computer scientist, I guess that my skills are in average.  But I can follow directions.

  Can someone explain to me how to manage permissions for users on the network?  It's easy to do the job when I talk to local users, but I can't find a way to add computers to the dialog box object types. I have only options of theses: built-in security principals, users and groups. In the locations list, I see only my computer and cannot find how to add computers to all networks.

  For Windows XP, it makes a difference if "Simple file sharing" is enabled or disabled.  Simple file sharing is * always * activated if you have Windows XP Home Edition and it is the default setting in XP Pro.  Sharing files Simple enabled, * all * users who are connected to a network on your machine are forced to authenticate on the machine as the 'Guest' user - which means that you have no user authentication in Windows Home or XP Pro without disabling Simple file sharing.  This means that every network user has access only to files to the files which has permissions for the Guest user.

  If you have XP Pro and disable Simple file sharing, then you can ask users to authenticate on your local machine and give everyone access to its own set of file permissions.  If the user connects to a network computer that contains the same user name and password that the user is currently logged on the local computer, the authentication is automatic.

I tried to copy a few files m4a manually in the file Media Player Music folder, but they do not play. I'm not really all that computer savvy and know only the basics, I need to use my computer really. Can you give me some step by step instructions how to get these converted files or whatever it is I need to do to get them to play and to integrate properly into my library if it is possible? If this isn't the case, I'll have to go out and buy a new Apple computer for my 60 GB music collection. In the past, that I've never had no real problem shooting files to leave this computer based Vista and convert these files to my old computers Apple Itunes Player. So what's the problem with your system of guys that done anyway this such a pain in the butt? I would really like to understand what exactly is happening with this issue? It's very frustrating for me. I'm a finish Carpenter not a computer programmer. Such things should not be so difficult for someone like me to understand. All I intend to buy a really nice computer, probably in the summer and was considering a Microsoft based computer.   According to research on the Internet, Windows Media Player, atleast this is version 11 (included in Windows Vista and available for Windows XP SP2 +) cannot play Apple loseless type .m4a audio files without having to install any codecs.

  If you want to use Windows Media Player, you can follow the instructions mentioned here to install the necessary codecs and plugins.

  (In the related instructions above, in the first step talks about codecs - your .m4a files are files Apple loseless then follow the party referred to in the first stage about Apple loseless .m4a)

  Personally, I prefer using alternatives to Windows Media Player rather than installing codec packs.

  If you don't want to install codecs, download no matter what media player from "programs that open. M4A files"- Windows category list on this page.

  If you use a spare player - VLC Media Player is my choice.
