Question: NO DRIVERS... NO PROBLEM of WIFI WITH T400 network controller

I have t400 lately had problems connecting to wireless networks. The Device Manager shows 2 bluetooth peripheral exclamation points and newtrok controller. installed all the drivers available on the Lenovo's Support page.

Could I have installed the wrong dirnvers if that is the right one and how do I know if I have installed the right one or not?

Wireless for your machine driver is here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-70505

Otherwise the other way is to install the system update and let it to find the driver for you.

Bluetooth driver must be enabled if you want to install the driver by pressing Fn + F5.

    @Great-Christine-Tree:

First of all, we have a step by step guide to guide you through the process of diagnosis here:
Troubleshooting your wireless network and Internet access

A second option is to try the following steps:
    Powercycle the network:
    1. turn off your laptop.
    2. unplug the power to your router.
    3. disconnect the power to your modem.
    4. wait at least 45 seconds.
5 reconnect the modem and wait for it to come back online.
6 plug in the router and wait for it to come back online.
    7. turn on your laptop and test your connection.

Turn off the power to the adapter:
    1. open Device Manager. (Win Key + R > type devmgmt.msc > OK)
    2. expand the network adapters.
    3. right click on the Ethernet adapter / wireless, and then click Properties.
    4. click on the power management tab.
5 remove the check mark next to allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
    6. click on OK.
    7 test cycle.

Reset the TCP/IP settings on your PC:
    1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
    2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
    3. in the window that opens type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without the quotes and press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

It can also help to reset the winsock catalog:
    1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
    2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
    3. in the window that opens type "netsh winsock reset" without the quotes, and then press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

    Reinstall the NIC drivers:
    1. download the drivers from here , but do not run them again.
    2. go to your Start menu/screen and type Device Manager.
    3. expand network adapters.
    4. right click on the wireless adapter and choose uninstall.
5 install the drivers downloaded in step 1.
    6. restart your PC and test.

    Test an ethernet connection:
Explicit. Test if the problem persists on a wired connection to the adapter hardware troubleshooting wireless can be directed to the appropriate areas.

    Test another connection:
Many people excluded their home network as a problem if another device working on the same network. Networking is not as simple as that. Each device interacts differently with your router or modem and it is impossible to exclude the settings for this device until the laptop has been tested on another network.

If these steps do not resolve the problem, try this document published by Microsoft for network management issues: wired and wireless network problems. You can change the operating system with the drop-down list in the upper right of the document.

  • Problem connecting wireless with my Tecra A8

    Hello

I have problem connecting WiFi with my laptop Tecra A8. When I opened my laptop, it does not connect to the wireless network.
I tried several ways to solve this problem.
I updated for active connections, then I click on the Connect button after you select my wireless LAN, but it doesn't connect.
Or I restart my computer, but it doesn't connect.
However, it connects to the network wireless in anytime after about 15 minutes.

Also when I tried to connect to the network wireless at home, but I couldn't t connect. I removed the password for the connection. Then I connected without any problem.
I wonder that there is no problem with installation? Or my wireless card doesn't work?
    Can someone help me?

    Thank you

According to the statement, all looks like that you try to use a password for encryption wrong!

  • Problems of intermittent wifi with E1 - 510 laptop when power not plugged

I have the Acer E1-510-4413 model with windows 8.1. 64 bit OS

When the power cord is connected to the laptop, it works like a charm...

But when I unplug the power cord, I find that the wifi connection will constantly lose connection to ANY wifi modem that it was connected to little matter if the wifi has been opened or WPA encrypted.

Very frustrating to say the least when I need Traoré to the power cord on a just full battery charge so that I can have internet connectivity.

I checked the acer web site and there is no wifi drivers updated so I am at a loss why this is happening.  It always happened ever since I boughtthe portable...

    I found the problem myself...

Basically, drivers wifi which come pre-installed with windows 8 work very well... but I bought the laptop at the time of version 8.1, and I did the update to 8.0 to 8.1 windows according to needs on my first night to have the brand new laptop.  Tonight, I noticed that the version of the drivers I have for my wifi were slightly older than what is displayed on the download page of the Acer driver for my model.

So, once I have uninstalled the drivers wifi existing, rebooted, then installed the new drivers and rebooted a second time, my wifi connection was solid...

not sure why the existing drivers do not work correctly with 8.1, but fortunately the updated drivers are on the Acer download page.

  • WiFi with Dell L501x problem

    Hello

2 days ago, my laptop was connected to my router and works fine. But he then randomly disconnected and have not been able to connect from the back. I use an ethernet cable to access the internet and we have tried several ways to try to solve the problem, but nothing works.

I have a Dell L501x (Win 7 64-bit) with the card wifi Intel Centrino 1000 BGN. I rebooted the router and the modem and disconnected all devices and tried to reconnect, but in vain. I tried to update the drivers, System Restore and use in SafeMode (network), but nothing works. The modem and router are works well as other devices to connect and access the internet, it's just my phone that can not.

I'm sure this isn't a hardware problem as the adapter finds all nearby networks. Said that the resolution of the problems "a Director profile didn't get an IP address from the DHCP server.

I would appreciate your help with this problem,

    Thank you.

    Hello Rick,

Sorry for the delay. I finally realized the problem - it is the modem/router itself. It is really old and has a security feature where he launched inbound connections if there is already a few presents. Had to reset the gateway IP from the router itself.

I really appreciate all the help from you.

    Thank you.
