Question of deactivation of Lightroom.

Try disabling 5 Lightroom on my old iMac and activate 6 Lightroom on my new iMac.  State Instructions from adobe you go under 'help' to log out (disable) a computer or activate one.  5 Lightroom doesn't have a toggle option under the Help menu.  These two versions of office are not the versions 'CC '.  Any suggestions?

LR5 uses no activation, so you don't have to do anything.

Although it does not, you can uninstall it if you want.

  • Question about license Photoshop Lightroom 6

    Hello

I want to buy Photoshop Lightroom 6 (not subscribing to CC) and I have two questions:

    1. Can I install this program (not seen that a single permit for me as user) on my main computer and my wife's cell phone (even if it's his computer, only I'll be the user of the software)? I found somewhere in the questions that yes I install Lightroom on both computers unless I am the only user of the program, but then I found that in the EULA and he kept of wondering if I understand though.
    2. If I buy the "Lightroom 6", do all the updates from Lightroom 6? For example, I buy today and I get the most recent version available, for example Lightroom 6.4... and what happens if in a certain period of time, the 6.5 version comes out? I get this update too? I'm not situation that Lightroom 7 came out which is obvious to me that you buy a new product update.

Thank you very much for your help.

    Kind regards

  • deactivation of Lightroom

  • Questions of deactivation. Temporary switch?

Hello world. I'm there for several months, and I want to use my software creative cloud on another office for this time (I have currently installed on a desktop and a laptop). However, I have some questions and concerns about the process of disabling and installation.

    (1) what I actually need to uninstall the software before you can install on a new machine or deactivation is sufficient?

    (2) is the permanent deactivation? Once I have disable the software on my current desktop (iMac 2011) it is more activated?

In fact, my question is if I can temporarily switch computers. I know that the creative cloud can be installed on both machines, but I already have it on your laptop, so the real question is if I can move from desktop computers at the moment I'm far.

I hope I did my questions clear. Thanks in advance for any reply or insight you can give on this subject.

You can switch between machines and you do not have to uninstall... disabling is sufficient.  Deactivation is not permanent.

  • 2 BIG questions... Lightroom CC buggy...?

Hi all!  I hope someone can help or at least have the same two problems I have - and is there a solution / workaround?

    1. From time to time the top, bottom, and side panels are black and I can't get back them, unless I quit Lightroom and open it again - more frustrating when working on images.  Is there a solution to this?
    2. When I use a local adjustment (spot heal / gradient filter / radial filter / local brush) I'm unable to change the setting after I left the use - the local button on the image disappears, then it is not possible to enter again to make new adjustments.

Are these bugs? I certainly don't have these problems before.  Any help is VERY welcome.

Lightroom CC (latest version) / Mac OS (latest version).

    Thank you very much

    Jasper

    I don't know the answer to #1.

The answer to #2 is to press the letter H

  • Question of tone in Lightroom 6 sliders

I have 6 Lightroom for a year. I recently updated a second computer that I own with Lightroom 6. Now, on this second computer, all the tools in Lightroom 6 are tools for version 6 with the exception of the tone sliders in the develop Module. Lightroom 6 sliders include exposure, contrast, highlights, dark, white and black. My Lightroom 6 on my second computer has your cursors that include exposure, recovery, light filling, blacks, brightness, and contrast. These sliders are from a previous version of Lightroom. How can I solve this problem?

In the camera Calibration Panel, verify that the Version of the process is set on 2012.

  • Latest Version of Lightroom 5 (PC) - questions of library where Lightroom automatically selects photos - any help welcome!

I use the latest version of Lightroom 5 on a PC.  I am having a very frustrating bug that appeared yesterday.  When you browse my catalog files in the view 'Library' Lightroom is randomly auto selection of images.  For example I have a folder for "Christmas with > 300 moroccoin 2014'.»  When I opened this file in library view and select picture 17, Lightroom will also choose image #28 for example.  If no picture is selected within 5 seconds to open the Lightroom default folder to select the images #1 and #2.  I find this frustrating, especially when the side/signage/keywording like Lightroom is adding random pictures in my selected those... kill me! Any thoughts?

  • Question from newbie to Lightroom purchase

    Hi guys,.

Without trawling pages trying to get an answer, can I just buy Lightroom on its own, or do I have to buy Creative Cloud? I want only LR, so this is my first choice.

I used the trial and enjoyed some of the features, but there is no 'upgrade to the full version"that I can find, other than buying CC.

    Thanks in advance...

You can buy the stand-alone version of Lightroom products

  • Deactivation of Lightroom 3

I have the student edition lightroom 3 is installed on my computer. I plan on resetting my computer to a factory State because it has some problems and so I want to disable my software and reinstall it. I learned through previous communication of support adobe photoshop and lightroom to go to 'help' and then select 'disable '. However, lightroom doesn't have this option. It is an edition student I think it can be used only on the computer once so I don't want to uninstall just in case I lose my license.

Could someone please explain to me how to correctly disable lightroom so that I can always use the same license when I go to reinstall the software?

    Thank you :-)

Lightrom should not be disabled. It differs from the Photoshop here.

Adobe is fundamentally convinced younthat you do not exceed the license.

  • Switching to Macs - question of deactivation

Apple are taking over my annoying Mac Pro tomorrow and should be replacing in the coming days with a new machine. I am preparing everything now, and I want to reinstall using Time Machine, once the new computer is here, but I was wondering what to do about Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 3 with regard to activation is concerned? Can I suspend or permanently disable on this old Mac Pro before I wipe the main drive? The two programs are also installed on an old iMac and I want to keep them there.

Also on the issue of licenses, I have a Windows laptop and I wonder if I am able to run Lightroom on this computer as well?

    ashleykaryl wrote:

On the other issue regarding Lightroom it curiously has given me a different answer and said he could either be installed on 2 Macs or 2 machines Windows, but not one on each. Are you sure that it can also be used on the Windows laptop?

Sounds like the representative of Adobe needs of more training. Or it is confusing LR license with license of Photoshop.

You can certainly install (and activate) LR on portable Mac and Windows, using the same serial number (cross-platform).

I have LR3.6 to activate successfully on a Win 7 Ultimate laptop and a MacBook Air running OS x Lion.

  • Curious question about previews of Lightroom and Camera Raw Cache

Posted in the Flickr Lightroom group as well:

I noticed something on the previews of Lightroom (3.6) and cache Camera Raw, intrigued me.

I create a new, empty catalog, and purge the Cache of Camera Raw.

Then I import ONE Nikon (NEF) RAW file with dimensions 2592 x 3872 (10 mega pixels - 10,036,224).

Then I export this NEF file to a TIFF 8-bit file uncompressed. You can expect this file size TIFF about 30 MB (10 megapixels x 3 bytes per RGB value) and in fact the TIFF file is size of 30,135,830 bytes. If you export the TIFF file same ZIP compression to specify the size of the resulting file is 10,834,038 bytes. The compression achieved here is obviously going to be highly specific to the image, but so far no surprises.

When you import I said make 1:1 previews and I spend in the Loupe and see the whole picture in the format 1:1. I also visit the development module and do a lot of manipulation on the image but not cropping.

At the conclusion of all this, I got out of Lightroom and examine file camera Raw Cache as well as previews of Lightroom file size. It would be my expectation that the previews folder should have a complete image rendering and Camera Raw Cache should also have a display form of raw data. What do you expect the size of these respective folders to be?

Indeed - in my tests that the previews folder totals a simple 1 675 264 bytes and Camera Raw Cache that contains an image DAT file cached one is simply 267 374 bytes. This doesn't seem like enough bits to preserve the image rendered, nor there at - it an image is full-size, nestled in the actual catalog - the file is not large enough to hold that. And yet I can use the magnifying glass to the format 1:1 mode and move an image to the image without loading delays (even when you import multiple files).

I wonder if I missed something obvious in my analysis and that, if someone might not care to speculate on what magic Adobe's practice here. Even if grant us them special algorithms to compress their insights that I don't see how they can achieve a compression so much larger than the file ZIP compressed TIFF realizes.

And for those who might think to ask - I have told these experiences with multiple raw images and on MAC or PC platforms.

I look forward to answers or interesting theories or maybe someone could reproduce the results of the experiment and report.

The previews in the preview cache are JPEG files. JPEG compression is much more effective than the lossless zip compression. No magic here.

Mr. Chan is obviously the expert on regards to the Camera Raw Cache.

  • Question of color in Lightroom, export not correct color

Recently on export, the images in the folder are discolored, but when the same image is uploaded in blogstomp and PASS previews are discoloured but the image seen online is correct. So today I downloaded some pictures in my Showit Web site and they have been bleached even online. I have reset to the defaults in the Preferences/presets section, but that did not help... I don't know what is happening.

You are exporting in ProPhoto and display in a browser without color management. I simulated here in converting the 'good' copy to ProPhoto and assigning sRGB:

Always export to sRGB for the web (or anything else that has no color management complete). It's in the export dialog under "file settings".
