• A big question mark gray

  Twice in the last few weeks, when I walked away from my iMac for a few minutes, I'll be back to see a big gray question mark on the screen.

  The mouse is not a click or move, and the only way to get rid of the question marks is to reboot, that thin iMac.

  Is this a sign that I need to replace my iMac? I would rather not still.

• Big questions (not enough space for DB, don't see music)

  I had a big problem. Appearantly, napster wanted to max out of space on the "rocket". If she did. When I lit a few hours later, he gave me a message about how there was no place for a music DB.

  I went to spend a few songs on the SD card, but I found that Windows no longer saw the device as a device. He saw it as a drive.

• Question Lightroom Mobile Sync

  Hi all

  I think that ultimately, I need help from technical support Adobe, but that throw out there for others who have similar questions.  I've had two different subscriptions with Adobe (don't ask why): (1) monthly subscription to the photographer who included Photoshop Lightroom and Photoshop CC, and (2) a single subscription to InDesign.  I obviously should have bought the full suite of CC knowing what I know now.  I noticed the Black Friday sale before Adobe offered and contacted support by chat for 1) cancel subscriptions for both above and 2) replace them by a subscription to subsequently complete CC I thought allowed access to all Adobe applications.

  When I run Lightroom in my identity plate area, I try to use Lightroom Mobile sync (worked until I canceled my photographer package) and am currently get a message that my laptop Lightroom has expired and cannot perform the synchronization between the Office of Lightroom and Lightroom on iOS.  When I connect to my account on the Adobe Web site to watch to see what subscriptions I active, I show two lists: (1) my newly acquired Creative Suite of cloud and the package of 2) my expired photographer listed have expired.

  Yet once again, I expect that the full suite of Cloud Creative should have allowed me to synchronize Mobile with Lightroom.  Instructions for Lightroom syncing seems to indicate that this is the case (screenshot below).  All advice appreciated words.

  You cannot install Lightroom CC because it is not available in the creative cloud app

  Solution: Login and in order to update the list of available applications

  I better 3.6 LR LR 4.1 on my laptop Windows 7 with 8 gigs ram. I need to free up space on my internal hard drive, so I'm moving my images on an external hard drive 1 t, connected via usb 2.0, unfortunately.

  • question 1: is - it matter in which order I do the above? In other words, should I do the upgrade to 4.1 first and then move my images/catalog to the external hard drive or do I move my pictures and then upgrade?

  I've heard of how LR 4.1 is slower than LR 3.6, so I am, a little worried about performance.

  • question 2: someone at - it specific advice on the LR configuration for best performance in light of my files is stored on the external hard drive via USB 2?

  (I use this computer for web surfing and image programs.) Not to mention LR, I have also run Camera Raw, PS CS 5 and Premiere Elements. I thought I'd do two images of catalogs-again I suggest to hd and film ext clips that I want to keep on the internal hard drive. Who is? )

  Doesn't matter, as long as you do it right

  It is slower for some people and not slower for others. I don't think that anyone in these forums has understood what the reason is for slow on some computers. The only thing you can do is try it on your computer. Moreover, as I have read, in Lightroom performance problems are unrelated to USB 2.

  Nope, several catalogues never made sense to me. You simply reduce your effectiveness by having several catalogues here. A catalog is easier, this way you won't have to switch back, you never wind up importing in the wrong catalog, you can search through all your photos and videos, etc. A catalog is the way to go.

  Also, did I mention that a catalog is the right way to go? Because if I didn't mention it, let me say that a catalog is the way to go.

• P500 - big questions re: hard drive

  My Ideapoad P500 is about 16 months (the warranty period is therefore, of course!) A few nights after a reboot I got the message "hard drive to fix the errors. It may take an hour or more. "... or something very similar. The laptop hooked to this message for more than 18 hours.

  I did a hard reboot and now get the message "check media' followed by the error"initialization failed." This leads to the message "default dbo device missing or failed to start."

  No I don't have any recovery media

  Yes I have backups fairly recent, it's not a problem.

  I have a box that I can use to connect my portable hard drive till I can see if the drive is still readable.

  That's the 64 thousand dollar question... How can I get the hard drive of the laptop? I took the five screws from the rear. At this point, I think the DVD player needs to come out, but is not.

  Can someone point me to a video or a document that describes in detail how to get the hard drive out?

• 'unknown' and big question mark on my network card

  Hello
  I get an 'unknown' with a big blue? on my map network between my computer and the router.
  I already did the following:
  Restarted
  Reset router password
  unchecked some v6 button
  not all users connected
  just abot all I've read about this.
  It will go away for a period short and low and behold he came back.
  What is it?
  Why is that?

  I had the same big blue mark on several of my machines and know that the bonjour service is not installed on any of them - all clean installed Win7, Win2k8R2 and Win7Home.  The only thing they had in common was RealTek network cards (or at least that's how they are marked in Device Manager).

  If your NETWORK card is a RealTek PCie or similar, you could try going to Device Manager and click on the Advanced tab of the RealTek network device.  There you should be able to navigate down to an entry labeled "priority and VLAN.  If activated, try to define this VLAN enabled.  I could do this fix on 3 of my machines with RealTek NIC and it seems that the problems of mapping network disappeared.

  [I'm not saying that the bonjour service is not causing a? mark for others, but I got no Hello on my machines.]  The fix above eliminated the? all cards on all the machines in my network].

• Question Lightroom external editor

  Hey everybody, after a recent update for Lightroom (latest version) Despite me saying the prefs I want to open this file in Photoshop CC 2014 he continually ignores this and opens the file in the 2015 version - the option is there in the export dialog, but he simply ignores my instructions. Is Adobe trying to discourage us to use the 2014 version now? I really hope not that I need to use the version of 2014 due to the problems of brush healing in 2015 - anyone else seeing this?

  For Ironman - The default Photoshop will be CC2015.6.1 and the 'additional external editor"CC2015.1.2

  (or default CC2015 and additional CC2014 in the case of Andy).

  When setting up the 'additional external editor"it is important that you choose the appropriate version of 'old' app/exe program file.

  When you right-click on a photo and click [Edit-In] you will have two lists for the PS, one for each version.

  In the same way, you can create several 'additional external editors"that point all to ch, but with different options for the type of file and profile (for example PSD, TIFF, JPG, etc.)

  I use lightroom on an Imac with OS 10.11.2 5.7.1. I can't Lightroom to recognize my D300 for tethered shooting. I have tried all the simple attempts... reboot, new usb cable... etc. And yes the D300 is supported by lightroom. Any suggestions?

• Question Lightroom/Setup operation

  I just installed LR on my new Macbook Pro operating OS10.10. At the opening of LR, I get two error messages:

  The first says: "an error occurred when attempting to change modules.", and

  The second said: "an internal error has occurred. Could not create the required folder: /Users/ [my name] / Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/develop Presets. »

  As a result, LR does not open.

  Any ideas how to solve this problem? Thank you!

• question Lightroom 5 installation

  I bought Lightroom 5.2 and have the original installation file. I had to have my computer reloaded from scratch to get rid of Windows 10. I also downloaded the updates, the last of them was 'Lightroom_5_LS11_win_5_7' I guess I have to install the Original installation file first, and then run (or check for updates) before you run the update file.  Is there a better way?

  No need to run version 5.2.

  Simply run the installation file "Lightroom_5_LS11_win_5_7".

  Is the update installation file, not just an update, you can check the size of the file, its similar 957 MB, this is the version key update setup.exe file

• Panorama of printing question lightroom cc epson r2880

  I tried to print a large panorama (13' x 48 ") on roll of paper on an Epson r2880 lightroom cc. It seems that all the settings are correct (I think) and I can't seem to print correctly never! summer wasting a lot of paper! at the start of the image to print, it spits out about 24 "white paper then to print from the center of the image? for some strange reason, it will not print the first 24 "of the image! I really have no idea...

  I think you mean 13 "x 48" (13' = 156 "length exceeds the maximum length of paper for the Epson R2880).

  Do scroll to the solution offered by btolley below and see if that helps. It is for LR3, but should always be applicable.

  I am a user of Lightroom CC 2015. When I see ptictures in Explorer even after importing the photos from my camera in Lightroom, and I edited the pictures, they are the original images. Therefore, I can't download the images published in skydrive. Please notify. Thank you

  You must export the photos when you have finished your work.

  LR is non-destructive and does not change your originals.
