Question of linear space color

I ran into an interesting question using 16 bit linear exrs in AE.

All of my 3D images is rendered in 16-bit linear space, and I went to sRGB IEC611966 - 2.1 in AE.

I have a different color corrections in the model.  When I export an image of the model and then re-import this framework on the same comp, it is brighter than the model it has been exported since.

I exported to png and openEXR with the same result.

In PShop, I confirmed that the exported png and exr are identical in color (after cutting the exr to 8 bits).  I also know that the color of corrections have been applied in recorded images, because I have the screen captured the AE and pasted on top of the pictures stored in PShop - no color change.

My guess is that the re-import frames are not in the correct color space, but I tried some of them using "film" w / no chance.

Any ideas?

Never mind.

I had an effect of exposure on the layer...

Don't forget to replace "t15" with your model references.

Also, if you go edit the report template > Column Templates > Column Template 1 > You can set the condition to even/odd rows and then add in your own html/css..

  • Question to space color multiprocessing

After you install the update after effects CC 2014, I am having trouble with my using the multiprocessing.

I work in the color space is a linearized 32bpc sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1 when I made without multiprocessing turned on, make it runs very well, but with it turned on the rendering result is much too bright, as if the gamma has been lifted too high. I really wish I could use multi-processing, since it cuts my time rendering up to a fifth of what they would be otherwise. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Also, just for fun I took my file in after effects CC (12.2) and tried making it with multiprocessing without changing the settings and rendering turned out very well, making me think that it is more precisely a CC 2014 problem.

This is fixed in the 2014.2 effects after update (13.2), which is now available.

  • How to automatatically answer the question of "change the color space?

After obtaining of CS4 I will often wonder if I want to change the settings of the color space of the image I want to open.

In previous editions of SP/c, you can access the General settings and set the response to be automatically always the same (always ask/never ask/always the existing value or original...).

Since I always want to change the color space to match the color in CS4 space I would like once again able to set as default. How can I do this in CS4?

It is in the color settings (Edit > color settings). Change the RGB color strategy to convert RGB working. Uncheck the appropriate (or all) checkboxes in the politics of color.

  • small misplaced question Panel graphic label color

    Hi all

I have 2 quick questions, but he could not find in the search, perhaps I was not hitting the right keyword.  Anyway.

    1. How can I move the back label "Interval" to Center and have rest at the centre at any time?

    2. is there a way to programmically change the Panel background color?

    Thank you

If you want to keep this centered label you can use the following:

  • Big questions (not enough space for DB, don't see music)

I had a big problem. Appearantly, napster wanted to max out of space on the "rocket". If she did. When I lit a few hours later, he gave me a message about how there was no place for a music DB.

I went to spend a few songs on the SD card, but I found that Windows no longer saw the device as a device. He saw it as a drive.

I'm screwed. Just play, I turned on HOLD and then disconnected everything hold back. He complained no place, but proceeded to normal operation. Once it synchronized is the media. I was able to view the settings for the USB mode then put him at PSG.

My question is why/how he got into MSC, and why it does this as well as he thought he ran out of room?

All sorts of reasons. Much obtained from corruption in tags and another get corruptions in memory, and sometimes you just fill too full of player.

  • Question of functional space

If 100% of your images should only be viewed online, would be unwise as to the value of your workspace sRGB? Whenever I read articles that explain how web browsers use sRGB only, but then the person will advise you to use Adobe RGB as the workspace of the PS. If you do this, you will see potentially more color when editing your image, and then these colors change in fact when you a) convert to sRGB during recording, or b) upload to a Web site.

Then sometimes I see people say you need to set the workspace on the icc profile calibrated your monitor. Again, this will show you something while editing, but then move when convert them to sRGB when you save.

Am I missing something? It seems to me that if your working space is sRGB, what you see when editing is EXACTLY what you see when you save the file.

    Yes, this is basically correct.

He pourraitfor essential work, have an advantage to open in a larger space if you plan to do extensive editing, because which would give you more room in the treatment, without any risk of threshold effect you are working. But you still need to tighten the final result in sRGB for final output.

And of course, with a standard monitor sRGB is all you ever see onscreen anyway.

    However -!

people say that you must set the workspace on the icc profile calibrated your monitor.

It is absolute b * llocks and something you should never do, in any case, never. This not only disables all color management and throw everything that you do to the wind - it also puts the file in a non-standard color space that is shared by no other person on the planet. The monitor profile is for the monitor, it is not for the document.

The reason why this piece of advice of garbage is so often around the internet is precisely because it makes Photoshop superficially imitate the behavior of another without color managed web and file browser. For some strange reason people always approve these more than Photoshop. Why is this? No idea.

If you want - see what it looks like in an application managed colors - appropriate and safe way is evidence to Monitor RGB. CTRL + Y.

  • Questions about layers and color selection. Help, please! : 0

Hello!  I am a user of Gimp for a long time, but finally upgraded to photoshop primarily for logo designs or.  I'm a bit lost when it comes for the most part and did not get some questions answered by youtube tutorials that I thought I could.  How to draw on multiple layers?  I don't understand the error message when I try.  Also how I ' smart select ' a certain color on a given layer?  Thank you very much!!!

First of all, I suggest that if your work is in large part illustration and logos, you look at the Adobe Illustrator. Amnesty International, a vector approx. offers many advantages and can provide an accurate picture regardless of resizing. If you prefer to work with Photoshop, you can draw on several layers, by choosing each layer in turn through the layers panel. If an image has several dull colors and you want to select one of them to put on its own layer, see the feature Select > color range followed by Cmd + J. remember to save your file as a psd rather than jpg in order to maintain the different layers.

  • Questions about LUN space Reclaimation

    Greetings!

I have a few questions for you guys.  I studied how the restoration of the deleted blocks occurs on a given data store.  Although I get orders to do so (")vmkfstools -y" in 5.0/5.1 and "esxcli storage vmfs unmap" in 5.5), I need clarification on what is actually happening.

    1. If the datastore is 600GB and shows 100GB free in vSphere, is the full 600GB shown as allocated on the SAN?

    2. We are running vSphere 5.1.  If I run "vmkfstools -y 50" to reclaim 50% of free space, what happens to the SAN?

    3. Does the reclamation only affect deleted blocks, or does it affect all free space?

That's all I can think of for now.  Thanks!

    Dave S

    1. If the datastore is 600GB and shows 100GB free in vSphere, is the full 600GB shown as allocated on the SAN?

It depends, for example, if in some time you used 550GB on the data store and remove 50 GB, maybe it will be 550GB allocated on the SAN, recovery space is performed automatically.

    2. We are running vSphere 5.1.  If I run "vmkfstools -y 50" to reclaim 50% of free space, what happens to the SAN?

Taking the example of 100 GB of free space on the data store, if you use vmkfstools y 50, the command will create a file of balloon that is 50% of 100 GB in size (50 GB) and once the file is created, it will be removed to zero space and free up space on the SAN.

    3. Does the reclamation only affect deleted blocks, or does it affect all free space?

Not 100% sure, but I think it depends on how much space you want to recover, if there is for example 100 GB of free on the store database and 50 GB of free on the SAN and you use vmkfstools y 70, ball file fills not only the 50% of the deleted blocks but over 20% of the blocks already set to zero... but of course after completion of the order you will get 70% of free space :-)

  • Transparency blend space color in Illustrator

In InDesign, there is an option to specify the space of transarency mix colors. Is there something similar to this in Illustrator? If this is not the case, how Illustrator sets the color (CMYK or RGB) for transparent items? In printing, we can get all kinds of problems with the problems of transparency such as boxes, if the space of transparency differs from the image workspace. I want to find a way to synchronize such transparency combines all the match of the workspace. Usually, I work in CMYK mode.  Thank you.

I propose either RGB or CMYK. you who decide in the file > Document Color Mode (to v10). Transparency does not care that you use in artificial intelligence from space.  If you are working in CMYK mode, then make sure that your swatches and pictures are CMYK.  But I think that there are other reasons why you'd get boxes in transparent objects.  Take a look at the flat pattern.

  • Question about four black color

    Hi all!

I noticed that Photoshops seems, by default, do black Black "4 color". In other words it uses C, M, Y and K to create black rather than simply set K 100%. This creates problems for me when I print things on my laser CMYK printer, because it pulls in fact all four black create toner cartridges ink. I printed out a 300-page document which was ALL black text last week and was surprised when, half by printing, I ran out of YELLOW ink!

Also, when I create documents for commercial printing, what I often do, the problem with four black color is not wasted ink, its registration. Its very difficult for the press to save the black text is built using the four colors. Especially with the small text.

Is there a way to DEFAULT photoshop do all black PURE black? And also this would include shadows. Even the shadows must be pure black. Thank you!

If you insist in Ps, then you must work in CMYK destination space and then when you do your text layers, just the spec as 100% black. Convert your images color separately prior to their importation into the final doc and you'll have the best of both world, less, of course, the sharp kind that would receive you if you let the imagesetter solve it at its native resolution instead of as a halftone. Then, after all that is done, you will need to make sure that there is no color inadvertently conversions downstream where a reconversion can screw with your black generation. If the downstream conversion is done, they must be done with profiles of connection of device set up to preserve the original black gen.

But even after all that, there is no reason not to use IDS to make even smaller announcements. The size of the announcement has no impact on the merits of the application for the work, and ID is really the most appropriate.

As you laser printer, your original post said that you were printing of 300 pages of text, so, given that you want to check the black only option and do with it. Again, same printing to a laser printer, if you have mixed color images, you must be in final CMYK mode and have you type spec'd correctly, the printer prints all that is spec'd but only as long as there is no downstream of color conversions, which means you can print through a true CMYK RIP with your laser.

  • Question of empty space

I work with a model of tables based on DreamTemplates.com (model 0055) and need help regarding the removal of the empty space at the bottom of some pages.

I moved the margins at the bottom of the tables using the slider, but when I check the temporary site in Safari, the amount of white space is huge.  In IE, it is less the amount of space.  I also took a quick glance at the codification, but can't seem to find what I should be adjusted.

Here is a link to one of the pages in question.

Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to change the encoding for this?  I was not sure what the best way to publish the code here, so I left it.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Hello

Get out the explicit height pixel values 2 cells (td):

    3484

    3559

The big empty space that you have on the bottom should be removed.

In addition, as SnakEyez02 you suggest, I think you must post your site on the W3C site to ensure that your code is correct.

    I hope this helps!

  • Order of slide question non-linear in the project of great quiz?

Anyone know of a way to manipulate the order of slides in a nonlinear way, such as the creation of a connection scenario / choose your own adventure? Can you use the 'leap feature zipper' on the button 'submit' in this way successfully if you use dozens, perhaps the question a hundred slides? I also can't seem to find out if there is a maximum number of question slides?

Button submit slides of question triggers the submission in a two-step process:

    • Click: Watch comments (taking the precaution of press on Y or click the slide), playhead rest pause at the point of interruption of the question slide
    • When the user clicks the slide, or based on Y actions specified on success or after last attempt (if only one attempt, otherwise user is invited to try again) are executed. You can use these actions to navigate to another slide of the question

Be careful about setting up Quiz preferences to allow free navigation: allow the back navigation, use no branch updated the slides before the test and do not forget to leave the required option set to "Optional".

I have no idea on the maximum amount of question slides.

  • Newb question: serious distortion of color

I hope I'm missing something really stupid here. I am completely new to the creation and video editing as a whole.

I set up a little video for a kick. I set up the fine video and exported, and it seems good. I've played a bit with many export different presets and they all looked good. I ended up going with a preset for iPhone that created the smaller file. This version is here: https://strangematter.us/Kickstarter_5.mp4.

Then, I discovered that Kickstarter requires format 640 x 480, and I used a large screen. Oh no! So, I'll be back in the first, create a new sequence at 640 x 480, copy on all of my pieces, laboriously move all the items, and then export.

I noticed that when I created my new sequence when I clicked in most frames on the timeline, the preview could be really garbled with vertical bands of color. But when I rubbed the playhead backward and forward it looked OK.

However, exports have been garbage. Vertical bands of color everywhere and the audio was all choppy. I tried a bunch of different presets and all gave the same result.

Even stranger: the original sequence shows the same problem now!

So after some thought, I decided to cut the first of the equation. I have a good export, why not simply re-encode the low-resolution letterbox-style? So, I open encoder media and do exactly that, using the video perfectly well above. THE SAME PROBLEM. Here is this version: https://strangematter.us/Kickstarter_5_2.mp4.

At this point, I am at a loss. What could I have done to be first or Media Encoder to behave the same way? (I would say it was purely a problem of Media Encoder, if not for the fact I see this distortion in the preview area in the first.)

It is with first Pro CC, last update, on a Macbook Pro 2014.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Problem solved.

It seems that the switched converter at a time given "mercury hardware accelerated (CUDA)" "mercury hardware accelerated (OpenCL). Since they mean 'hardware acceleration' I do not think that there is a significant difference.

There are of course! I turned it to CUDA and everything works well again!

  • Questions of linear workflow with Media Encoder CC 2014

I use after effects CC 2014 and doesn't seem to be the option the most export through AE to H264. There was formerly a button in the preferences to allow obsolete codecs... not there more with CC 2014. Then... I added my renders in Media Encoder. The problem is that it does not calculate my project working in linear Workflow so all my renders are very dark and evil.

Someone at - he found a work around for this? is there a Media Encoder button that I need to put on for linear workflow?

I have usually make an intermediate file without loss of AE render queue and then use that file in Adobe Media Encoder.

    I did it for years.

I have never cared for After Effects h.264 encoder and was happy to see it go. I'd rather the AE team focus their limited resources on the program of work well and let the Media Encoder team working on the best way to code something.

Here's a post on using Adobe Media Encoder to create H.264, MPEG-2 and WMV videos get out of After Effects
