  In August, I'm going to VMware vSphere training, conducted by Hawlett Packard.

  Can anyone suggest me, what should I prepare before going to training.  From now on, my hands are on the VMware esx 3.5.

  The contributions and suggestions will be highly appreciated.

  Since you are experience with the 3.5 I just download vSphere 4.0 and deploy it in a laboratory in order to better familiarize you with the way things work and that prepare you to ask questions or concerns during tests.  You don't ' be shock when you see live demo during the training interfaces and have questions you're not totally thinking.  I would also look at these documents vSphere bundle those are the best or even use the "Guide to the vSphere evaluator" and flash top quickly.  I would focus on the Nexus 1000v modules and how these switches of vDistributed, the FT, the Profiler works and ask more advanced general best practices migration, level, design and architecture during the training to get your money to a value of good luck!

  I created new Manager topology agent. I've updated the details of master repository in odiparams.bat

  Then, I started the officer in the command prompt.

  C:\oracle\product\11.1.1\Oracle_ODI_1\oracledi\agent\bin > _name = odi_agent agent

  Then I am getting error like

  2015 08-04 ERROR ODI-1443 error 13:00:04.056 when starting agent: javax.servle

  t.ServletException: ODI-1405: Agent OracleDIAgent start failure: the agent is not

  t defined in the topology for master repository.

  After that, I started the agent in the master repository:

  C:\oracle\Middleware\Oracle_ODI1\oracledi\agent\bin

  And then I got error like below the screenshot

  

  Please help me. Please solve this problem. I tried so many times.

  Hello

  Your agent starts successfully, but you are unable to test studio odi agent. Right?
  Then is your agent and odi studio are in the same host? If yes then you use localhost as a hostname in the topology Manager. You can try to use the Ip address or full host name in the topology for you Manager connect to the agent.
  You can also check ping and telnet to the port of the agent to check if it is blocked or not.

  I am new to VMware and learning ESXi 5.0. I built my 5.0 ESXi host and then downloaded the 5.5 vSphere client. Given that I have only one host; client vSphere 5.5 can handle that. I installed the client and enter the IP address of the host with root/configured password management. He gave the certificate WARNING said to download the files from customer support.   I still did not understand how I can put a limit for virtual computing only not to exceed the resources of physical calculation for exempel I want not vCPU more than pCPU host failure.

  Lets assume that I have 3 guests with 8 Jepp by host. each host allocated 3 VMs with 2VPCU so it's not on subscription by host which is what I want

  I case of a failure of the two host will be more stocked with vCPU than Jepp. How can I avoid it bothers me not for the latest VM which will cause more subscription be turned off and not start in the new host.

  Reserves will ensure that virtual machines are getting the resources assigned to them. Virtual machines without reservations will start and get what's left. If they HA admission control enabled, HA will not allow VMs boot if the host does not have the resources to meet the reserves.

  Is there a tool to check my current vsphere 4.1 Setup if I can adapt an another VM with 4 GB RAM and 100 GB of HARD drive and it can always benefit from HA?

  HA focuses on CPU and memory resources.  To check the capacity of the drive, you will need to look at the data store that you plan to use.

  To check the memory it will depend on how you have the cluster configuration.

  (1) If you use the option percentage reserved resources HA cluster, and then select the tab Summry (see VMware HA) for the cluster and you will see the percentage of used memory and processor resources.  Based on the total amount of resources listed in the general section, you will be able to determine if you can start your new virtual machine.

  (2) If you use a cluster host failure tolerate setting, vCenter will determine the number of available slots.    Click the link to Advanced Runtime information in the VMware HA section to see the slot size details and the number of places available.

  I tried to get HA to work on my two test servers. I used vsphere 4.0

  1. creates a domain and DNS on a server stand-alone windows server. Entered into the DNS records for all machines.

  2. created 2 virtual hosts with a 2000 windows virtual machine.

  3 vcenter installed on a computer separate, created a data store, create a cluster, added the two hosts in the cluster.

  I started the virtual machine to windows 2000.

  I have a click with the right button on the cluster and configure for HA with most of the default values.

  When I remove the cable of the machine with the virtual machine to windows 2000. This vmhost says that the machine is suspended. But the machine switches to the other host. Can I reconnect the cable and 2000 virtual windows machine turns back as if nothing had happened.

  According to me, Miss me something? I have installed for the AP to failover vmotion?

  Can someone please send the minimum requirements to make this type of recovery using HA? I don't think I need to worry about hardware as modules and maybe of the parameters that are needed to run a basic HA. My books pretty much ignore the steps.

• Question of cloning for SSD upgrade on 12 Macbook Pro

  Previously, I did an upgrade to SSD on my Macbook Air to 2012 according to the instructions of JetDrive transcend. Basically connection via USB 3 and using Mac OS X to clear (and format) disc utilities new SSD, then restore again SSD and then remove the original 128 GB SSD and insert the new 480 GB SSD.  For about a month and so far without problem.

  Now I'm trying to 2012 Macbook upgrade my Pro partner (on 10.11.6).  I got a Crucial SSD MX300 to replace his HARD drive.  Crucial comes with (or recommend) Acronis software.  And a lot of the messages of the forum recommend Carbon Copy Clone.

  My question is if I can use the same method for the cloning of the HD as my Macbook Air (just restore disk of Mac OS X utilities)?  This time, I'm upgrading HARD drive and I don't know if something is different.  At the same time, if I got lucky the first time, I don't not ruin Macbook Pro my spouse this time.

  Yes, you can use disk utility to clone your MBP wives, but unlike CCC, it will not clone the recovery and Partition.

  I have a question for plagging the laptop to the docking station and battery, basically my main concern is not to connect to the laptop to run a/c, while it is fully charged and I'm always load only up to 100% and then when it reaches the minmum load then I connect it comes back to a/c, so my question here

  So do you think that that plug the laptop into the docking station will not decrease the duration of battery life because it will always be in charge mode?

  Without the cooling module, there is a high risk of damage to the CPU.
  I guess the POST (power on self test) would not correctly and the device will not illuminate if the cooling module is not connected.
