Printing works fine. However the same scanner software will not load when I try to use the scanner. Someone help please I really need to make use of the scanning function

  I have a Photosmart 5515 (a 5510 duplex I think!).  I have run windows 8.  Install the driver and I can use the printer as the printer - connected by USB cable.  I can even scan a document in WORD using ALT I P S.  But I can't get the system to install the HP scanning software.  Whenever I try to install using the HP download (file PS5510_1315.exe name), he extracted the file and then asking you to identify the printer.  He does not see the existing driver and it says to plug the printer into an available USB port.  Its already plugged in of course.  It will not allow me to go further.  I tried (I think that (all combinations including the removal of all the softerae of hp on the computer, remove the printer from the Control Panel, unplug the printer and restarting the conmputer to get a 'clean' install.))  All to nothing does not.  I tried every way.  I tried the such HPPSDr as recommended by HP.  When run, it recognizes the printer, talk to the printer, asks if I want to fix scanning and crosses two scans (the printer buzzes far happily) but then comes with the message window titled "HP TWAIN" "HP Photosmart 5510 series is not found."  This is after she has had discussions with the thing!  Within this program of doctor, you can ask to solve printing problems too.  When I take this road all is supposed to be good.

  Try to run the HP printer below installation wizard by following the steps, don't forget to keep the USB connected before starting the tool:

  If it persists, I would also try a different USB cable, directly connected to your PC and not via a hub or extention, a USB 2.0 and not a USB 3.0 cable and not longer than 2 metres long.

• C6380 Scanning Software hangs on my book of Julie

  I have a new book by Julie and the C6380 all-in-One software installed and connected to my wireless printer using a NetGear Rounter.  I can print fine but when I try to use the client software to analysis the software crashes and stops.  I can see the printer's built-in web browser, so I know that I have a connection to the printer.  It seems that there is something wrong with the Mac of the HP scanning software.

  Has anyone else encountered this problem?

  I think I solved my problem.  I found an application in the folder of the HP software on my Mac called HP Scan Destinations.  When I tried to run this application, it reported a corrupted file and gave me the option to restore the default values.  After you restore the default settings, I found that I could run a scan of the device without the scanning application manager to crash.  Seems that the installation of software process corrupted a file.

• Problems with the HP scanning software

  When I scan documents with my 5520 HP all-in-one by using the scanning software HP standard for Mac OSX that comes with the printer, it seems that the scan is perfect on the screen in the scanning software, but when I try to save the image as a .pdf file, the result is an A4 page where half left from the original image I stretched to fit the A4 page. Anoyone know the same thing? Is there a solution to this problem?

  Try scanning from your Mac. Use Image Capture app in your Applications folder.

  Click once on the scanner on the left side, and then click Show details on the background. Along the right side you will see MANY options for scanning and recording.

• SJ G4010 communicates only with the HP scanning software

  Now, I have the same problem as others.  I am running win xp pro.

  I have uninstalled/reinstalled the software (HP Solution Center) because I wasn't able to scan from Corel Presentations, I could do with my old HP scanning 4470c SJ.

  Now, when I try to open HP Solution Center's, I get the following message:

  "No HP devices have been detected.  HP Solutions Center's will be closed

  When I try to acquire an image from the scanner when I'm in HP PhotoSmart first or in Corel presentation I get this message:

  "Unable to communicate with HP scanning software. Please check that it has been installed and working properly.  If the problem persists please closed your application and try again. »

  Of course, it does not solve the problem.

  After this error message I get an additional error in HP PhotoSmart first stating:

  'Invalid Twain State'.

  It is interesting I can scan from in MS Paint and also MS multimedia library of MS Office 2007, which means that the scanner works.  I can also use the scanner with MS scanner and Camera Wizard.  The problem seems to be in the inability of the HP software to detect the scanner.

  The solution is to download the latest software on the HP ftp site and rub all the residual Scanner HP program remains on your hard drive or your registry before attempting to reinstall.

  Still can not sweep of Corel Presentations as I used to with my old SJ deceased 4470c but it's just a minor irritant compared to what I went through to fix this.

  The latest Win7 software that I use with a G4050 is no longer works, so I would try the previous versions. (my post for help on this issue is in the link below - unfortunately, the proposed solutions do not work)

  Can someone point me to the download site for previous versions.  Note that the file I used to download the latest version is 'HP_G4050_140_220.exe '.

  I understand when you try to scan a document, you receive a message stating "an error has occurred in the scanner software: restart/reboot/reinstall and error 4, [(3,42,0,)]. I will do my best to help you! Thank you for your previous post where you got help, this clarify this issue.

  I found a HP document on error 42, 4, [(3,42,0)], forbidden during preview scanning is enabled which should solve this problem. Due to having a large screen monitors or set of high resolution, the DPI setting to increase the size of police/icon.

  I read you post and wanted to share some information with you. The Officejet 6500 a Plus isn't an available pilot of Mavericks, there is therefore no scanning software for this device with your OS X from HP.

  However, check this link for the options you have. You always have the option to scan with the Apple software update driver.

  I looked at the product page for this printer and I noticed there are 2 packages of software of their choice: a basic print/scanning and a complete solution package.

  Did you use the basic print/scan package or the complete solution?

  If you use the basic print/scanning, you will not get the drivers and nothing else. If it is the package you want, you need to use something like windows scanning solution for scanning.

  If you want all software, like what would happen on the cd in the box, then you must choose the complete solution. This will give you the scanning software provided with the cd in the box. In this case, it would be best to uninstall what you already have on your system, re-boot and re - install this new package.

  I have the C4385 and have several years to scan HP sscan my documents. I have recently been unable to use this software because of an error message "scan cannot be performed because another program is using...".

  I uninstalled the HP software and I am forced to use printing simple & software scan. I can't find the software for scanning HP anywhere to re - install on the HP website. Where can I get this?

  If I'm forced to use the basic print & scan software how to scan multiple pages into a single document?

  You can do a sucj of printing & scanning by following these steps:

  1. After pressing Scanner open, click the view details button.
  2. Type the required name and set the format to PDF.
  3. CHECK the box next to "combine in a single document.
  4. Rhythm on the next page on the scanner and click the scan button.
  5. Repeat pressing the button scan until you have finished scanning pages, the specified file will include the scanned pages.

• HP scanning software - document or photo

  In HP Scan software there is a drop down for the Type of element, 2 selections, Document and Photo.  What that get out of control-type/average?

  Using a HP Officejet 8600 + N911g

  The types of Document or Photo are just default settings for the two common types of scans, if you set the scanning resolution and format to save the file, you override the default settings, so the parameter 'Document' or 'Photo' is irrelevent. Unless you are scanning as document 2400dpi and then in word (or any app with the digitized result) and do a save as, in this case, the application is conversion, which usually would have a different size. So is which way?

  I don't understand what you mean by "lose 28%", do you mean it seems smaller screen? or turn photoviewer cropped the result after? The two scan should be rotated or just one of them?

• Photosmart HP B210a more: HP Photosmart Plus B210 missing Scan software

  Hi all

  OK, Ive problems (two hacks, printer malfunctions, 1 disk repair, etc. over the past months) my Mac for the last two days, I restored Mac OSX 10.10.4 successfully and everything is well save for my printer as indicated above. I didn't know the usefulness was eliminated when I upgraded to Yosemite and it was hogging my CPU with a processing loop that was killing my Mac (I call her Alice!...)). So, I did get them all today my research on what went wrong with these processes which lead me to upgrade drivers Max OSX Yosemite and tried troubleshooting through:

  (a) installation of printers, their uninstall through the system preferences/printers and Scanners to verify that the drivers are there, I installed via the using field list driver HP Photosmart Plus B210, who can confirm print successfully without any trail of CPU (I uninstalled the HP before this point utility).

  (b) tried to get into the system preferences/printers and Scanners / where I chose "Scan" in the window of the printer and it says "SCAN SOFTWARE does IS NOT INSTALLED" (see attached printer screen)

  

  (c) I installed the driver in the development of window for HP Photosmart Plus b210 series that SHOULD allow the printer and scanner to work from my window System Preferences/printers and Scanners, I've lived more troubleshooting try to import a scan of the system of preferences/Applications/Image Capture and preview also. The two scan attempts to import sent the same message, lack of scan software when I tried via the printers & Scanner on System Preferences window.

  So frustrasting as she is, I set up a test on the printer to use the port MMC to scan an image of the window of the printer to the MMC card, that I inserted in the printer and it worked to prove that the software of the printer works on scan, but not directly with my Mac. Printing software is confirmed later, brings back me to my Mac and his missing scan software.

  This seems to be missing and appropriate drivers that should make the impression (works fine, no trail of CPU as before) as well as scanning (missing software problem). Does anyone know how I can fix this and if I need to download software drivers or anything please provide your console if necessary with links to what I need...

  Try to update the software by following these steps:

  Click on the Apple icon, then select about this Mac.
  Click software update, and then click the Store from the top of the indicated window menu and click on reload the Page.

  Be sure to install any update HP or Apple, then check for the difference.

  If it persists, try manually install the package below. Tjen try to scan the image:
