  I've read all the version 6 release notes for the various components of vmware and I have a few questions, I hope someone can help me with:

  (1) now, I installed on a separate windows server vCO. The release notes, this method seems to be a dead end and I should get used to the device now. Correct assessment? VCO is always installed with vCenter server installed on windows?

  (2) in the 5.5.1 release notes, there was a mention of SOAP being obsolete, but I see no mention of this in the notes of version 5.5.2 or 6.0.1. Is always SOAP or only access REMAINS? VMware has changed mind about the withdrawal of SOAP?

  (3) to pass all my actions and workflow Windows (vCO 5.5.1) has the unit (or another windows server I have the intention to rebuild), it is simply a matter of exporters and importers?

  (4) for the initial Setup, the date of issue to new referring to the fact that the old method will not go away. From what I can tell, basic items only (connection IP address and vcenter) are performed via a web site. After that, I need to use the client and run the correct workflow? (Similar to the change that was made to the AD plugin a couple versions back?)

  (5) I have a workflow that copies a file into the guest operating system. This file is stored in a folder on the server of vCO (Windows). Is this possible with the device or what I need to rework my workflow to get the file to prompt another way?

  (6) the vCO can work with an external SQL database?

  (1) vRO windows installer is not delivered with vSphere windows install. Technically, it is still available in 6.0 although I don't know if you can download it separately. So yes, better get used to the device.

  (2) don't know why SOAP is not listed as obsolete in release 5.5.2/6.0.1 notes, but it is always inadvisable. It is not yet deleted so you can still use it, but the recommendation is to spend the REST (REST Java SDK or crude REST API)

  (3) correct. Perhaps the simplest is to create a package, put all your custom inside actions/work flow and then export/import the package.

  (4) Yes and no. The old configuration Web UI is always there to 6.0. Plugin configuration must be made through workflow. Part configuration server (network/authentication/database / etc) in 6.0 can be configured via the old user interface and workflows.

  The old Web user interface will be kept for compatibility with plug-ins partner who have not yet passed their workflow configuration.

  (5) should be possible even with the machine.

  (6) of course. Databases supported by the windows installation are also supported by the device.

• Disregard my previous question about downloading the version of Windows on a disc. My friend was able to download itself with dial-up.

  You're right about the free version, but I put t know if it is right or not, but if you check warning you will see that this update is created 12/2010 so I think it must be the right file inside.

• 3 questions on the new version

  1. I had care of motorcycle protection plan on the generation 1 X, can it be transferred to the new version?

  2. is there a reason why I do not see the option to purchase the Protection plan for Gen 2 in my documents? Done all the register this and that. It also shows my current 1 year warranty. I've had the phone for 7 days now.

  Let me clarify on the transferability of the EEP, as well.

  If you have a 1st generation Moto X with an ESP and you sell it to your boyfriend to get a 2nd gen one, this 1st generation ESP can be transferred to your boyfriend.

  If you have a 1st generation Moto X with an ESP, and you do a RMA number and get a replacement unit, your ESP can be transferred from your original 1st generation Moto X to your 1st generation Moto X replacement.

  Your ESP may NOT collect a 1st generation Moto X to a 2nd generation Moto X. As for only - they are not the same phone, ergo the ESP cannot be transferred between them.

  I'm curious.  Several versions of LabWindows CVI can be installed on the same PC?

  I'm used to LabVIEW, where Yes, it is possible.  However, with CVI, other than the additional support with newer versions, there may not be a problem to return to an earlier version.  I still wonder.  Several versions can coexist in the same PC?  Or they affect each other?

  You can, BUT only one (the last) version of the CVI runtime will be installed - this behavior began with CVI 6 or more.  Before that date, you have completely installed parallel to several versions of the CVI.

  This can be a problem if you ever find that you have applications depend on a particular version of the RTE.  Theory of NI is that this editor is always backward compatible.

  And you might ask what is simply the RTE - the answer is that it is a set of DLLS and stuff that NEITHER really cares to list for you.

• Question about an earlier version of windows

  I am currently using windows xp and wanted, just for the heck of it, try windows 98. However, I am aware that this operating system is no longer supported. So my question is, even if it is no longer supported still do you get all the old updates through "automatic updates"?

  Win98 doesn't include automatic updates by default so you should be able to manually update via http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com after installing IE6 manually.

  No updates for Win98 or WinME is available since June 2006.

  PS: I do not think that you will find an antivirus application is always supported by Win98... and you do NOT want to connect the computer to the internet or a local network (i.e. other computers) without a functional AV installed.

• Question on the evaluation version of Vista... Help, please! IT IS ABOUT TO EXPIRE!

  We bought your desktop for more than a year in a popular electronics store (not to mention the name of privacy). He had to come with Vista Home Premium already installed. We ended up taking the display model because it was the last computer they had left (the brand was on sale). To make a long story short, they don't sell us a computer with real Vista on it. This is an evaluation version. We had no idea that this thing is real only two days ago, when we started to receive messages saying it was about to expire. I called the store where we bought it, and they basically told me too bad, they couldn't help me. Another store that sells Microsoft said it was illegal for them have sold us a computer with a trial not authorized on this issue and that they should be forced to fix. But they won't.

  So here we are, with a copy that is about to expire in 2 days and I have no idea what to do with it. I said I can't upgrade, either, without destroy everything on this computer, because this isn't an approved evaluation copy.

  I followed the instructions on other posts here which seemed to be on the registration of copies of assessment. After going through the entire process, it told me that my copy is not valid and cannot be enabled at all.

  Anyone know what I can do about it?

  I bought computers from our provider of professional it services installed win7 and win8.1. While they inspected the CD cover license, the license is OEM version. I asked our computer service provider and he said if we buy a computer that comes pre-installed with a BONE, it's not serious. Please confirm what I already paid for the license keys.

  You can legally use a PC with a pre-installed Windows in any environment version: Office, home, football club, anywhere.

  If I understand correctly, the OEM licenses are sold to manufacturers to use for a large number of PC. They are not transferable. If your computers are transferable OEM licenses whereas they are probably pirated. After a while, they are likely to become invalid.

  I suggest you follow the steps below-

  Connect to DRM

  Click on administer

  Expand on Validations

  Locate the Validation at the origin of the problem

  Remove the Validation. (backup of all necessary information would be desirable)

  Save the Version.

  Let us know if it works. This has been covered in bugs I guess but do not know exactly

  One of my client's situation trigger this thread, they have a few Oracle 9.2.0.6 inherited instance, which turns out to be that a version of database not supported for JDeveloper/ADF 12.1.3, in this case, supports an earlier version of the ADF is the only choice without upgrading of database to 11.x for them?

  And I'm also interested to know why JDeveloper/ADF confined its support to some version of database Oracle, thank you

  If I'm not wrong then the Oracle 9i database is out of support since juil.-2007. JDeveloper and ADF certifies and supports the unsupported database versions or operating systems. So I hope that answers the "why". The real solution is to upgrade the database, because that's the reason that will block you for what your client is to move forward.
