question the m9515y graphics card upgrade

After a little more than 2 years, the graphics card in my m9515y failed and I am looking to improve it to something in the sense of a GeForce 465 and also upgrade the oem power supply 550 watt or better power supply Ultra.   My concern is the wire (black and white) which extends from the current GeForce 9400 pay-per-view mother connector JSPD1 and is included in this unit by the factory.  I can find no reference as to what this thread is for, and if it will be necessary for the new video card.

Hoping that someone will be able to answer this question for me.

Thanks in advance.

Gordon

Hi Gordon,.

The cable between the card and the motherboard is most likely an SPDIF connection, even if it is not labeled as such.

Are you using or plan for the use of the SPDIF output on the back of your PC?

You can get audio via the HDMI port on the 465 NVIDIA Digital.

The Corsair CX 600 (600 watts) or the CX 500 (500 watt) power should work for your needs well.

This GTX 550 TI is the same performance with the 465, consumes less energy and less expensive.  Some of the 550 GTX s have a differnet output ports configurations so you might need to look a little bit to determine which meets your needs. www.Newegg.com has what need you.

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-112y. The 680 GTX graphics card should fit and work in your system, but you want to measure the space along the PCIe x 16 slot to make sure. You must also ensure that the PCIe x 1 adjacent to the beach 16 x slot is empty. The cards GTX 680 I watched, require a power minimum system nominal 550 watts or greater and an amp 38 note on the 12 volt rail. • Pavilion e9280t: the graphics card upgrade

I had to spend my original GeForce GT220 graphics card to use at least three 3 monitors so I bought EVGA GeForce GT 640.  When I installed the card, everything was fine until the computer, install the driver and start then computer began to stop and start several times and then stopped at c prompt and siad it is impossible to find a bootable.  Long story short, I had to use my emergency disk and restart the computer.

Then, I started reading Blogs about the HP graphics card chain and one of technology pointed out I should buy Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 and this card will work without upgrading PSU, so I did.  Now, with the GTX 660 computer card keep start and stop and I can't seem to stop.  I spoke with a few outside tech and they said that I need to improve my diet.  If this is the case, then the HP expertise technology was not entirely accurate or I have another problem.

The UPE recommended are: (1) Corsair HX650 and (2) RS-650.  I also read that this MB Pegatron IPMTB-TK does not many power supplies above 550-650 watts.

Can someone tell me what is my computer problem?  Need to pass the power supply and if I do what PSU I can use?  Model and Type to fit properly in the case?

    HP Pavilion e9280t Truckee-UL8E

Original power output power: 460 Watt

    Hello

The differences between the reference models and variants will vary according to the manufacturer.  See the image below and notice number 6 power connectors that are necessary.  Depending on the configuration of your PC, a GTX 660 can't get enough power to the 460 watt power supply in your PC. As I said earlier, I didn't have a question of power using the EVGA GTX 660.  Graphics NVIDIA GTX 660 cards are border line with some power supplies according to the design of the PSU and the loading PC.

The Corsair CX500, or CX600 would be excellent choices. Note: the power supply fan is mounted upward toward the top of the Cabinet because it will shoot in the air fresh from along the edge of the top side entries.

  • The Dell Dimension 9200 graphics card upgrade

I am looking to update my graphics card on a Dell Dimension 9200 and I was wondering if the Nvidia GeForce GT 430 would work with the pc, I have a Nvidia 7900 gt. I am open to both recommendations.

My current pc features, Windows 8 version Preview (upgrade to windows 8 Pro in a few days), 4 GB of ram, intel dual core 2.13 ghz.

    Hi gaz492,

The graphics card you have mentioned should work on the Dimension 9200.

Food that has been delivered with the computer is 375W which is more than the bloc power to the graphics card. Details of the graphics card: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-430/specifications

In addition, providing the link for the specifications of the computer:

NOTE from the ADMIN: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell >

Add the link to the manual for Dimension 9200, which is also known as the XPS 410:

There are a lot of compatible adapters to the computer: here is a list of the latest graphics cards that run on the desktop computer:

    1. nVidia GeForce GT 440.
    2. ATI Radeon HD 6570.
    3. ATI Radeon HD 6670 (requires minimum 400W).
    4. ATI Radeon HD 7750 (requires minimum 400W).

Usually if the video card is updated on the computer, you must upgrade the power too as the power supply on this computer is 375W.

  • Compaq-Presario CQ5110F: the graphics card upgrade

In order to upgrade to Windows 10, I have to upgrade my video screen, so I purchased and installed a 2 GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 in PCI Ex16 slot on the motherboard, but my system of refuses to recognize it, even if I changed the main video screen in the BIOS PCI Ex16. What I'm doing wrong here? I'd appreciate any help. Thank you

    Hello:

The Nvidia 730 series cards do not work on an old PC.

The BIOS will not accept it.

If you want a nVidia card which is close to the 730, you go with GT 630.

Also, there is a workaround to use the integrated graphics card and upgrading to W10.

See the discussion below.  You launch the DVD you made from the windows desktop and ignore the checking of updates.

    Without this change.

GPU is a chipset that is soldered to the logic board or at least a mini-map attached to the logic board.  In addition, the stitching and the GPU driver are optimized for the preselected GPU.

  • The graphics card upgrade issues...

I recently bought this graphics card: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=5660536&sku=A271-5774

Also, I advanced and bought this power supply: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3276573

I own a HP Pavilion a6414 and this is my first video/graphics card upgrade.  I did a good bit of research and I know that I have the PCI E x 16 appropriate for the card slot and the power SUPPLY 650 Watt PSU to insert in the ATX case. I measure the UAP present btw.  I'm a little worried about the upgrade of the power supply, because I read somewhere (I think it's here on this forum) that some HP tech rep said a person who upgrade the power supply could not be performed on the a6414, but I don't see why not.

My other concern is about the speed of the processor to the graphics card and possibly voltage problems, but I think the power SUPPLY Ultra PSU will be fine.  Either that it is my first time to play with the graphics card and PSU, I'm looking for advice on the compatibility between these three components, i.e. the model, the card and the power supply.  Any input will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance...

I installed everything today and it works like a charm.  I had read so much about the HD 5770 not recognized by HPs and the test of the power supply, but everything worked so far.  I bought a LG LED 20 "monitor today as well, and everything looks great.  Thanks for all the advice guys...  The links you provided helped with Dave BIOS, thanks.

  • The Studio XPS 435MT graphics card upgrade

    Hi all

I have a Dell Studio XPS 435mt with these specs:

    Intel Core I7 2.67 ghz

    6 GB of RAM

ATI Radeon HD 4570 512 MB graphics card (it's the original one)

I got nothing so far, but now I want to change the graphics card because I want to play games that require higher performance, I play with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (1080 p).

So what do you suggest me? What is the best graphics card can I take, compatible with the studio 435mt?

I don't want to change the other components (and I mean the PSU in particular) I don't want to change the graphics card.

So what is the graphics card that pushes the limit of this computer?

    I have another question.

I bought this computer in Italy and it's because I'm Italian xD.

Now I'm in Boston for the summer holidays and I would buy the card here. There is a compatibility problem between Italian and American computers?

I mean the GPU are all the same despite the country or there are a few differences to take into account?

I'm sorry if I am repetitive, but I don't know if my questions are clear and understandable.

    Thanks for your help!

    I have no budget.

True, but even once, why would you spend $129 when the same one that costs only $89 HERE at Newegg.  Personally, I wouldn't put a high end as the HD 6970 card in your system, but it is up to you.  For me, just is not there, but I know that others have fact.   Cards more recent performance today they run cooler and are smaller than the last generation.  I know there are people who have put in the hot and power hungry GTX 295 in this system.  If you want a high end card without going overboard, take a look at the HD 6850 and HD 6870.  However, if you have money, you can do whatever you want if you use an i7 processor to go with it.  I'm just a little at low cost.

  • After the upgrade of the House 7 to 7 Pro the Toshiba support site shows the bad graphics card for L775D.

    Original title: Graphics Adapter Gone.

After the upgrade of the House 7 to 7 Pro the Toshiba support site shows the bad graphics card for my L775D. I have an AMD Radeon 6250 built in card and when you search AMD support site, it does not show my video card. I did a search automatically and empty came also.

I also had a problem with a file. TVALZ_O Sys when I search because she is on board I came with 3 files which no I can do something with. The system will accept all available Windows updates and continues do not install 3 updates of security. This a Quad Core A6 Vision 1.4 GB processor any help would be greatly appreciated as I formatted and reinstalled until I'm blue in the face.

    Hello Stephen,

The file that TVALZ_O seems to be linked to Toshiba ACPI and it seems THAT BIOS should be updated.

Since you are facing many problems after the upgrade to Windows 7 Professional, it seems you may need to check the latest updates of the Toshiba BIOS.

Important: Change the BIOS (Basic input output system) / Semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

You have to get in contact with the support Toshiba BIOS update and to get help.

Hope the helps of information. Let us know if you need help with Windows related issues. We will be happy to help you.

  • Deliver the switchable graphics card Windows 8.1

Hi, I had a problem since upgrading to Windows 8.1 with my graphic card on my laptop. I tried to go through the official support, but they were not very useful (I wanted to reinstall windows 7 and stick to it) so I decided to try one last time to repair my laptop here.

I have a HP ENVY Ultrabook 4 - 1053tx http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4132&lc=en&cc=my&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5285... , which has no windows 8.1 on the site of HP drivers. It came with Windows 7 that I upgraded to 8 (no problems with it).

Since the upgrade to 8.1, I met the following problems:

-Audio is choppy / stutters not bad, which is very annoying when listening to music. I am facing this problem in any media player, I have try and on Youtube/all other Web site. This problem occurs only when the laptop is connected which leads me to think that it is a problem with the 7670 M Radeon HD card or driver. The laptop is on the 'performance' mode when plugged in (i.e. the best graphics) and use the Intel one 4000 when it's on battery power.

-If the laptop goes to sleep / screen saver turns on, I sometimes wake up questions. Sometimes the screen goes black for a few seconds then the office returns, and a box at the bottom on the right say that the Radeon driver handed over a fall.

-J' have a video game installed (Football Manager 2012 through Steam). If the laptop is disconnected, or I put the game specifically to use graphs when it is connected to energy saving, the game loads fine. He tries to open with the Radeon card, it hangs or does not load. This happens every time.

Symptoms make me feel that there is something wrong with the Radeon graphics card or its drivers. I tried to reinstall the intel and drivers radeon (win 8 versions), but it has not solved the problem. I also tried to install the driver to win 8.1 for the 7670M I found here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4158&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5371... but it also does not solve the problem.

I tried to reinstall win 7, then upgrade to 8, then the upgrade to 8.1, but which does not either. I am out of resources on this topic. I don't really want to go back to windows 8 as I like the improvements to the 8.1 but these questions (one audio including) are driving me crazy.

Thanks for reading this, I hope that you have any ideas for me. :-)

Well, I think that I found a solution to my problem for a long time. It seems to boil down to a problem with the start program Intel RepID. I changed the mode "acceleration" of "Maximized" by establishing "Enhanced" in it, and so far this has solved the problem! I've been using the laptop plugged in for a little over an hour and no problems so far.

I can't take credit for the difficulty, I stumbled on this thread that had the same symptoms whch pointed only when it is connected, and they thought it was to do with the technology of quick start: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-PC-Sound-and-Audio/Crackling-sound-while-playing-music-in-HP-SPECTRE-15-4010nr/td-p/2386327/page/5

In any case, thanks for your help @Dindin trying to solve the problem. I hope that this means no more problems with my laptop :-)

  • Alienware 17 - integrated graphics not detected in BIOS - cannot switch to the integrated graphics card

As the title says, I own an Alienware 17, bought around November of 2013. My NVidia GeForce GTX 770 M runs like a champ. But I can't go to the integrated graphics card (should be Intel HD Graphics 4600). I tried the Fn + F5 (several times). It is said that it is "optimal". Tried with the laptop plugged in and not plugged. I looked in Device Manager and there is only a single index card (NVidia) view. I then booted the BIOS and it said: 'Integrated Graphics - undetected. " I have the latest BIOS version available on the support Web site.

Don't know what to do at this point. I should have integrated and discrete, but only discreet is detected. I want to be able to switch to the Intel card, so that I can mess around with things like the Intel WiDi and want to also DO NOT perform my NVidia card all the time, and because I'm not playing games all the time.

Any ideas? All support staff out there who can help out me?

Cub... I think I might have answered my own question... My laptop has the option to display 3D 120 Hz. For this reason, 'Optimus' technology is not available (I think I say this right), and so I can't go to the graphics card Intel because of the way the 3D display is wired. There is a YouTube video that I saw what explains the all (link below).

"Alienware 17 with 120 Hz 3D display has no integrated graphics":

    https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=RJ3IRvCkllg

Then... Not sure that I'm too happy with Dell right now. One of the advantages that I looked forward had to be able to change maps and play with some of the features of the Intel WiDi map in particular. When I bought the laptop, I was not made aware that I would lose the functionality of upgrade of the screen to get the 3D option. Would have been nice to know, so that I know what are the trade-offs.

I'm not able to install Windows 7 or an another Version of Windows. Because I don't have the dedicated graphics card (only the onboard integrated graphics card) and found no BIOS option to turn it off, I would like to remove it from the motherboard. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find out whether or not the ATI graphics card is welded (which this would make very difficult). Thanks a lot for your answers and a better idea to solve the problem.

To be honest, it won't be easy to solve your problem. Why?
Many people who have mobile machines the same logic valid for desktop computers. Exchange upgrade or hardware components on mobile units is very limited and you can simply swap the GPU or change the BIOS settings.

If the GPU is faulty in many cases entire motherboard must be replaced. I don't know what other people will write here, but what you can do is contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help or advice what can be done about it.
