Question WebService data persistence data control

Hello

We use a Web Service data on two pages jspx for application control. The control of data attributes are added on the two pages as data binding.

Scenario: we submit certain data from page 1 using the web service data and go to page 2. Fill in some data on page 2 and again to apply for the data Web Service and after successful response control back page 1. Same thing repeats again and again for this scenario.

Now the question is, submit us data of page 1, move to Page2, submit some data of page 2 and return to page 1. If repeat us this process, while presenting data on page 1, the data that we presented earlier on Page2 also get submitted, should not. We want only to present data according to the link on this page. Page1 is unlimited taskflow and Page2 is in the stubborn taskflow.

We tried setting values as: CacheResults: false on iterator, refresh condition: Ifneeded, UsePersistentStructure to false, the control data. Also tried to reset and turn off data using the API and resetInputState on the links. But nothing works. The only method that works is ClearForRecreate on iterator Page1. But since internal its method, it might not be good to use. Also, after the use of this tells us to receive intermittent error indicating AttributeList$ IRB cannot be cast to a string and exception argument is not an array a few times.

Please let me know, how I can ensure that the correct data are sent to the data control for the web service.

With the help of JDev 11.1.1.6.

Thank you

Solved by removing the option of data relating to the shares in taskflow control.

Thank you

    Thank you
    Arun

    Fixed it :)
I had to put the following parameter: IntradocServerPort = 4444

When I ran my program I saw results in my table. Also, I do not see the warning...

I used the search instead of getItems operation.
I need to set the path to "/" and recursive to true in order to see the results in my table.

When I use the getItems operation and set the path to "/" and run the file, I get a single record with the record of the contribution.

I notice in your links, you use links to set the path, so I think you want the user to go through the files and update the list when the user selects a folder, correct?

To test your connection, set the path in your links to the getItems operation to / instead to your EL expression.
If you have a result, that there is something wrong with your logic. If you do not see a result, there is something else wrong.

For example, here are my links:

If you do not see results when "code you" the path to /.
What type of connection do you use? What is your type of socket RIDC in your area? Web, sleeve or socketssl?

  • With the help of AMPA on non - WS Data Controls

    Hello community MAF .

I'm developing an Application of MAF that consumes the REST API of WebCenter portal (which is based on the model of HATEOAS).

I want to make powerful from scratch, including the following:

    -Offline mode (using the SQLite).

-Persistence, of setting cache and synchronization using AMPA.

Looks like it's not easier to apply directly on the REST API of WCP AMPA.

The REST API of WCP is the result of a call of two steps:

    1) authenticate using BASIC authentication against http://Host/repos/api/resourceIndex for the utoken

    (2) use utoken as the URL parameter for the next call of REST for the specific service.

I know that the Bus Service could be a possibility on the creation of a more simple REST on the WCP REST API, but is not an option right now because that is not easy to map.

    My questions are:

    (1) can we use AMPA on data controls in Java that will call internally to (DB in case of offline mode, REST by program in the case of online mode).

    (2) can define us manually in the persistenceMapping.xml?

    (3) is there anything else more easy to use wizards with HATEOAS base based Services?

    Thanks in advance

    Kind regards.

    Daniel,

Why is it not service bus an option? You say 'not easy to map', but do the mapping in the MAF makes it not easier, it? the REST API of pressurization is not very easy to mobile, so this transformation to a more usable by using bus service API cost as a good idea for me. See also this article from the A-team.

    Answers to your questions:

    (1) Yes, this is the added value of nucleus of AMPA. You get a service generated the DTC Assistant classes, then you turn this class in a bean data control and use this data control bean for the construction of your user interface. The service class will access local DB and the service REMAINS remote. By default, AMPA will directly show the current data of the local DB, and then in the background call the REST service (online) and refresh the UI, once the REST call has been processed. But this behavior is very configurable and can be changed as you wish.

    (2) Yes, of course, you can manually create data objects, classes of service and persistence mappings, but the wizard is generally much faster.

    (3) HATEOAS logical not for the dynamics of UI where the next action is determined by a link returned in the payload. It is a different model from the static of the UI we build in general with MAF. What is your problem with the help of the wizard of the AMPA?

  • Web service data control - how to use the data for the axis2 service manager

    Hello

    I have the following questions:
I consume a Web service using the web service based on axis2, MTOM data. The webservice response returns a complex response object.

    1. How can I link the (type axis2 DataHandler object) the response content to be stored in a column of data?
    2. in the response object, the name of the file is stored in a hash table structure, how can I retrieve the value of a specific key only? In an ideal world, it's a no-brainer, in ADF(newbie here) I do not know how to extract it?
    3. in addition, the display of collectibles for a response from webservice with a radio button beside each line?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is the part of the information that you want to display available as a separate attribute in the results of the Web service in the data control panel?
If not, and you do a manipulation of the result to retrieve content, you can consider creating a Java proxy for the Web service, in that proxy to expose a method that gives you the news you need and then expose the proxy as a data control. Then, you can call the specific method to get the specific information in the format you need.

  • Customer connection remains for the data control

    Hello

I ve recently created an ejb rest aplication consequence with the tutorial of:https://blogs.oracle.com/imc/entry/building_simple_java_ee_rest

    It works perfectly in factor.

Now, I want to create the client application.

I started to make adf web application, and in the template project, I want to get the webservice through the connection still to expose it as a datacontrol to user interface layer.

However, I m in web service data to create order Wizard, in the first step, create the connection REMAINS, I put endpoint URL: "the url I get when deploy the web service application" but when I test gives:' error received: forbidden ' or if I put the url of a method: ' received error: the source cannot be found.'

How can I fix it, please.

    Thanks in advance.

    Carlos

Your REST is back JSON or XML.

The REST data control now supports only the XML responses.

Here's a demo of use basis:

    https://blogs.Oracle.com/Shay/entry/accessing_remote_databases_from_oracle

If you return JSON, at this point, you create a Java class that parses the JSON and then to expose this class as a data control.

  • Problems to change my url endpoint data control for Web Service design time vs deploy times. Where is the url of time to deploy the "deployment configuration" stored?

    https://blogs.Oracle.com/ADF/entry/changing_endpoint_url_for_a_web_service_data_control

Using this link as a reference, I created a data control Web Service, and when I deploy via JDeveloper for different environments I can change my point of endpoint accordingly on this screen:

    Capture.PNG

However when I change my point of termination at the design time, the changes do not appear in the screen "Configuration of the deployment. This would not normally be a problem, but our automated deployment (maven/ant) seems to keep picking up the url "Deployment Configuration" instead of what we change in the DataControl.dcx. So I have a few questions:

    1. Why is there a difference between what we have in the source code and what is shown on this ""Deployment Configuration "screen for manual deployment of JDeveloper? "

    2. where is this "Deployment Configuration" end point url located? I can change it during an automated deployment as I can on a manual deployment?

    3. What is the best practice to change a url endpoint to the Web Service data control with during an automated deployment?

It turns out that the connections.xml had the url of the endpoint that the profile of the deployment and jdeveloper was referencing at deployment time.

In order to get our automated generation work, we use a search and replace of Ant utility to change endpoint in this connections.xml before construction/deployment of the application.

  • Return of the bound data control method causes IllegalArgumentException

    JDeveloper Version: _12.1.2.0.0_GENERIC_130608.2330.6668

    Problem:

I have a Service method on a data control which takes the parameters. I'm able to drag the Service method on a JSF/ADF page and it creates an ActionBinding and all links in the input parameter as well. No problem. I can run the page and enter values in the display, press the binding Action and the method on the façade of the Session is called perfectly. So far so good. Now, I want to display the results of the (returned as a collection of POJO) Service method in the method declaration.

If I drag the method declaration of data control on the same page and request that the results will be displayed in a table (or any control that will display a collection, in this example, this is a graph) control is created and all links with her. Once again, so far, so good.

Now I start the page. This time, I IllegalArgumentExceptions (two of them) returned as messages when loading the page. Stack trace looks like this (my apologies, I hate when people put a huge stack traces in positions):

  • Even table with values of different data controls

JDev ADF BC Web services 11.1.1.5.0

I have an array element in the user interface and two controls of data with the same set of attributes.
One is a data based VO control and another is a data bean control in which attributes will fill a web service.

I display a tabled text entry, a search button, and a table to the page.
Now, if I get the value of parameter of the Webservice, the table automatically displays table of results of the Web service data control.
And if not, the table must be empty and then it should belong the VO control data base.

User af:switch for this component. A side holds the web service table and the other the vo we. The condition for the switch is the result of the web service call.

  • Data control

OK so quick question and maybe it's very simple, I just can I have over looked something. So I'm doing an entity object and a display object. I wanted to make a control of the entity object's data, so I right click and create a data control.

However, mine looks like this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6787553/myView.JPG

No matter which guide I try and follow looks like this: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WDdiWVnTzNQ/UDY3tM2YRfI/AAAAAAAAHF0/__pvxe0s_vQ/s1600/6.png

    This is a guide I followed: http://andrejusb.blogspot.com/2009/12/data-control-edit-definition-feature-in.html

I guess that is is better to have a data control with all entity objects that it contains. Instead of having a separate data for each entity object control.

    Thanks for your help,
    Dustin

    Dusin,

the reason is in the examples a data control is created from an Application Module and not an entity objects. What you need to do is to create a Module of the Application (see http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/web.1111/b31974/bcservices.htm), and then add the view objects required in it. Then only, you get the required functionality.

  • Why: Data control not extensible/empty - flow ADF based task entry on HT.

    Hi all

I hope to create an ADF task flows based on a human task. I have an ADF stand-alone application in the ViewController which I want to create this workflow. The control of data entry resulting doesn't seem to be expandable.

    Questions
    1. When you create a Taskflow ADF based on a human task, should always be within a project in the same application as the SOA components?
    2. If not, is control of resulting data blank human task or not expandable because the xsd for the HT is based on the MDS? I have configured all MDS connections in my application.

    JDev: 11.1.1.4

    Thank you

    Hello

    Answers: -.

    1. No, it is not necessary that your ADF Taskflow based on human task should be in the same application where the SOA project. But this Taskflow-ADF deployment, to the SOA Project. You can add this project whenever you want to deploy.
    2. it may be the cause because of the Configuration of MDS.

Do one thing, while creating the ADF Taskflow human task, you select the .task via the file system file not the MDS.
If you select the. Your soa project task file, then it will ask you to name the Taskflow, just to name the taskflow you want and say ok.
After you have created the taskflow, it will add a large number of xml files in your project and it will create a data control.

    It could be useful!

  • create the data control using ejb deployment

    Hi guys
I am a "newbie" in Jdev 11 g and have the following question. Perhaps his simple, but I need help and someone pointing me in the right direction...
If the session bean is created by another application, how can it be used to create the data control in another application?
    "ReferenceService"-> application of the referencesrvSessionBean
-> Applications "forms" contains all jspx pages, etc. How to create a control of data here, to the use of the sessionBean in the other application?
    Help, please!

It's very simple, when you are in the application that has your view layer, have to drop-> open and locate the jpr for your EJB project file.
This will open the project and add it to your application.
Then you can go in for your project to view preferences and under dependencies set up a relationship between the projects.

  • ADF task flows and parameters WITHOUT data controls

    Hello world.

In a previous post, I asked him about the best way to call the workflow "at a distance" by a "local" application Frank Nimphius suggested me to use the JAR ADF libraries between projects for this. I'll apply, but I have a small/big problem:

As I said in my previous post, I exclusively use the EJB 3.0 - JPA technology in all my projects. The components business or data controls are used. Just a lot of Java-based components.

Now, supossed that I have a (based in the HR schema) application with 3 projects:

-L' one with all things EJB: entities from tables, session bean, and an example of a Java client.
-The second as a 'local' point of view, with a JSPX (viewLocations.jspx) page that contains the table of communities (table_locations).
-The third view "at a distance", with a JSPX too (viewCountries.jspx) page that contains the table of countries (table_countries).

I have a button in views the remote, and one to switch from local to remote display and the other for the opposite.

The goal is: pass a location of choice of table of locations for the project where I need to see the country for the selected location.

In the table of locations, I use a variable currentLocation (declared as: private location currentLocation = new Locations() ;) to store the selected location and a SelectionListener process, called selectLocation_listener() with this code in the)
    backing.viewLocations.ViewLocations.java:

    + ' public void selectLocation_listener (SelectionEvent selectionEvent) {+
+ / / Add code from the event here... +.
    currentLocation = (rentals) table_locations.getSelectedRowData ();
    +}+

If the selected location is stored in the variable currentLocation.

Both in projects the and remote, in that I store the task flow JSPX pages. I have the taskLocal.xml as an unlimited workflow with the viewLocations.jspx as the main view and the taskRemote.xml as a workflow bounded with the viewCountries.jspx as the main view.

I have deployed the project remotely in a library JAR ADF and imported to the local project, then I get it as a special activity Flow call.

The question is: How can I pass the variable currentLocation as a workflow setting to my project remotely? I don't have any data control to bind to a workflow parameter.
Should I really have some control of data to store my currentLocation variable and bind it to a parameter? Or there is another way without data controls?

Another fact: local and remote project have a dependency with the EJB project.
What about dependencies? Have a role in call task workflow activities?

    Thanks in advance.

If you would like more information or a more detailed explanation please ask me.

    Hello

a data control is needed for this. If you only want to use ADF task Flow and manage the component UI lie yourself, then you are good to go with this approach. To add parameters to a call from bounded task flows, have a look here

http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E15523_01/Web.1111/b31974/TOC.htm (Chapter 15, activities of view URL using 15.3)

You can make the local variable that is accessible from an accessor method Set/getter bean managed so that you can use EL when you set the value of the parameter.
