Questions game graphics/animation

I'm new to Flash, so I'm * not * aware of some seemingly obvious things, such as the existence of certain methods or the way that .fla interacts with the code.  Keep this in mind when you give explanations

, I was reading a tutorial and it says that you can directly reference the symbols with the name of the symbol.  Is it possible to do that without action, but rather by using an external .as file?  I tried, but I had a lot of mistakes not defined even if I import the stage class and so on.   This is the site I was looking at: http://www.tutcity.com/view/keyboard-controls-in-as3.19742.html.  However, it seems to require the addition of actions in flash.  I got it works when you use the Flash actions as suggested, but I would like to have the code in the .as only files rather than depend on the Flash actions, for better control.  I don't know how to get the .as file to recognize the scene, if I get the following error:

1120: access of undefined property scene.

1120: access of undefined property keyHit.

Do I have to instantiate the scene or something?  Shouldn't the .fla file knows what scene?  I tried import flash.display. * too and it didn't work.  It's my code.

package code
{
import flash.events. *;
import flash.display.Stage;
import flash.display.MovieClip;
import flash.ui.Keyboard;

Paradox/public class extends MovieClip
{

function keyHit(event:KeyboardEvent):void
{
var enemySpeed:uint = 5;

switch (event.keyCode)
{
case Keyboard.RIGHT:
MechDragon.x += enemySpeed;
break;

case Keyboard.LEFT:
MechDragon.x = enemySpeed;
break;

case Keyboard.UP:
MechDragon.y = enemySpeed;
break;

case Keyboard.DOWN:
MechDragon.y += enemySpeed;
break;
}
}

stage.addEventListener (KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN, keyHit);
}
}

I do not understand the relationship between the .fla file and the file .as much as animation goes.  Is there a command to refresh, or a next order of framework or something else? Also, is there a command to get the framework?  I want to save a bunch of images to a list or something (doing time manipulation stuff).  I also want to be able to change the graphics according to what is happening.  For example, if the character moves to the left, pass the mobile left sprite.  If the character moves upward, place you in moving to the top of sprite, etc..  But I want that he be bound to the same object, simply changing the image.  I can do or do I make lots of objects and mess around with some switches to graphics?

You can do it in different ways... just as in same DirectX - you can animate highs all in Flash - see the graphics for this class.

You may have all your different animations in your player, on his calendar and just goto clip of different frameworks that you need.

Or you might have various clips or bitmaps event and redeem them that you need.

> But y at - it a way to, for example, to assign several different images of a symbol and then let say code Flash when to use that image (or image sequence)?

The best way of that would be to use the timeline and go to the frames you needed...

    Hi Mohamed,

    Welcome to the Microsoft community!

    According to the description, it looks like you want to know the difference between the scores provided by Windows experience Index (WEI) and the graphics of games.

    Windows Experience Index measures the capability of the hardware and software of your computer configuration and expresses this measurement as a number called a base score. A higher base score means that your computer will perform better and faster than a computer with a score of lower base, especially when more advanced and resource-intensive tasks running.

    Visit this link to learn more about the Windows experience index:

    Hope this information helps. If you have any questions with Windows do not hesitate to answer and we will be happy to help you.

  • Dell Inspiron n7110 graphics and games graphics problems and screen resolution

    I have a dell Inspiron n7110 with 8 GB of ram and a processor intel core i3 and I recently changed my windows 7 home premium to ultimate because no product key for the ultimate version. I don't know why the games graphics and graphics are so low. The screen resolution is also is not very clear and my resolution is completely upward. The resolution of the screen used to be clear before I changed versions of windows 7. I have to buy a better graphics card? Do I need to make updates to pilot any? And if I do not need a new graphic card can anyone give me suggestions. Any help is appreciated, thanks

    Graphics card: | 1.0 scale to under-score = Lowest-1, 0-7, 9 - higher

    Assuming that your laptop is the exact model as well as the review below it uses
    a Nvidia GT 525 m. This card has a reasonable performance, so the score should be higher.

    During the reinstallation of Win7, you must also reinstall the graphics as well as all of the current versions
    the other drivers (BIOS is not always necessary) after download from DELL.

    In most cases the laptop graphics upgrade is not possible, and where possible it is generally not cost-effective as adapters for laptops cost more expensive for a given with PC model.

    Oh! I have laptop Dell.

    If there is no Windows 7 video driver available on the Dell site, you will need to revert to the original operating system if you want the video to work again...

    If left the intact original recovery partition, you must follow these instructions to begin the process...

    You will not be able to access the recovery partition as you could once because Windows 7 installation erases the part of the disk that was set up by the manufacturer to get access. Then.
    .
    You will have a Vista DVD for the procedure...
    1. Restart your computer with the Vista DVD in drive
    1. Press F12 during restart and choose Start from the CD/DVD ROM drive
    1. When the Vista DVD loads, accept the default options on each screen until you get to the language screen, set your language then your time and keyboard layout of currency, then continues.
    1. In the screen install now click on repair your computer.
    1. Click NO if Windows says you he finds problems with your boot options and ask you to apply repairs.
    2. In the system recovery window, click Windows Vista, and then click next to choose a recovery option.
    3. Choose the command line.
    1. In the windows command, type the following lines, and press ENTER after each line.
    1. d:
    2. CD tools
    3. PCRestore
    1. In the factory, Dell Restore window, click Next. Click Yes to reformat the hard drive and restore the system to factory condition.
      path d:\windows;d:\windows\system32
      Pasted from http://www.computing.net/answers/windows-vista/dell-restore-partition/2985.html>
      Points 9 to 12 are specific to Dell. You will need to ask the manufacturer what the path is to your specific brand
      Otherwise, use the Vista DVD oreiginally provided, assuming that it was delivered to you or buy a new copy...

  • rate games graphics

    How can I increase the rate of games for my hp pavilion dv5-1000us graphics

    My operating system is windows 7 32 bit

    first of all, when I was with vista it is game graphics was 3.8 but after I've updated in windows 7 changed to 3.4

    So what is the solution for this. What to do to improve its video and game performance

    Most likely your video card is integrated into your motherboard, and as such cannot be removed.  If this is the case, you will need to buy a new motherboard, which would not be worth the cost (you'd be better off buying a new PC).

  • disable the graphic animation

    Hi all

    Is it possible to disable the graphic animation for all graphs.
    There is an option in the properties of the graph ""Graphic Animate on screen"which is enabled by default and I would have this option disabled instead.»

    Concerning
    Adil

    Hi Adil,

    This cannot be in the world. To disable the animation, you must disable Adobe Flash on the client computer that affects all other applications running on this machine. There is an open with Oracle enhacement request to fix this,

  • The help of illustrator for iOS graphic animations and frame (newbie question)

    Hey there,

    I just want to get opinions and advice.

    We develop a sidescolling 2D game and I created in illustrator 2D graphics,... so far so good, right now I have a few characters designed.

    Now for the character poses, positions and framed by picture animations... hmmmm.

    I've been looking for examples of ways to create movements of character and positions in illustrator, but as the still have not found good examples or explanations.

    Would anyone care to share (or tell me some examples) workflow allows you to create different poses and positions using character illustrator...

    (eg. should I import my work in flash to use the BONE tool?) Or do I have to create every variation in illustrator and copying my character and manipulation)

    It's really up to you. Best practices depends on the specific animation that you generate. Whether semi automating your not frame-by-frame in Flash (using the functionality of the OS), or in Illustrator (using mixtures, effect change, etc. etc), seriously, I hope that the result is always being of tweens just on a frame-by-frame. In other words, even if I've not played with it (my interest in Flash is more on scripted animations), I doubt that the animation of bone resulting will be actually programmatic in the final SWF. I think it will be actually returned in the silent individual frames. (Check this should be fairly easy to do some simple tests and checking the size of the files.)

    For example: even if a single was use BONES to animate the behavior of scanning with a dial indicator, I wouldn't with script, with a frame by frame. But if I wanted to do a connected movement of a series of related vertebrae using bone would likely benefit.

    So, if the nature of your animation is such that the inverse kinematics is advantageous, (a series of several joints) using bones in Flash would be probably more convenient, easier to change after the fact and simplifies the effects of flexibility and decay. Otherwise, if it is a simple linear movement or change in shape, you could probably do as well in Illustrator.

    Now, if the inverse kinematics (the real behavior of the BONES tool) may actually be interactive in the final SWF, it's a completely different thing.

    Whatever it is, with the exception of works of art very simple, I would tend to draw the basic shapes in a drawing program, and not in the Flash authoring environment.

  • View seeks to create graphic animations in the videos, the FCPX is capable?

    Hello useful community! A two-part question.

    I'm just getting started on the video production and have some needs in mind. I hope you can let me know if FCPX can do that hopefully, if there is an obvious solution, I am missing, or some of you approach use.

    I'll be doing a few videos of interview style and will have several camera angles, with that I need to work. So if I understand correctly to work with iMovie, I'll have a main video timeline and then 'cut' in and out secondary structures for the other angles. But I must have a logo sitting in the corner as well. Is there still enough chronologies to cut in different camera angles while having a timeline showing the stationary chart? iMovie does not you have only your primary and another calendar cut in and out, but I hope that FCPX has the ability to overlay 2 more than at a time? Or maybe I'm going about this the wrong way need?

    The second part is linked, I want to be the logo/text animation because it is (as a brief introduction). Not throughout the entire video or something extremely complex, but to animate shapes and text sliding in such that the name of the speaker, the name of show graphics, etc... And I'm hoping to create my own custom animations, not the familiar "motions of text" located in iMovie. I feel like the examples I found online that all look like they have animations the same model and I hope for much more creative in this area occasionally, if that makes sense. In its most simple example I guess, the design and animation capabilities/techniques you can do in Keynote for graphics/text that can be market timed, fades, slides, etc.

    Is FCPX the right program to incorporate more complex forms of text animations as well? Or is it the work of another software?

    I hope that makes sense. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

    Mark

    TYou can have an unlimited number of video layers.

    Yes, you can make custom animations. For more complex animations, you use Motion.

  • HP 15 laptop computer omen: Question of graphics - freeze/lock

    I have problems with my graphics I think. I don't know if this is a hardware or a software issue, however.

    Symptom: When I start a game the computer crashes and there's a hum. The sound almost sounds like it comes from the material rather than the sound. Although this doesn't happen every time. CTRL-ALT-DEL does not work when this happens. By pushing the button window does not work. The only way to get out the gel is hard boot the PC. This happened there as well after a game about 3 weeks session. I restored the computer to factory default and it worked fine until the 10/30/15. I would say the 1st time it happened was on 01/10/15. So a month elapsed before this happens again. Both times it happened after a long gaming session. I closed my laptop, went to another House and then when I tried to play again that this freezing/hum which is spent. This time I was unable to solve the problem.

    I play the games or you have tried: Hearthstone, WOW, heroes of the storm, Starcraft II and Diablo III, Skyrim. All seem to have this problem now.

    Things I've done.

    Restored PC to factory default. (Windows updates, installed updates HP installed, updated graphics card)

    Uninstalled and reinstalled graphics card

    Restore PC to factory default (Windows updates installed, graphics card updates) - I remember when I first bought the PC. I installed HP updates through HP support Manager. It messed up the graphics. I have restored and it has worked well up until the 10/01/15. So I thought that maybe I messed up it by doing this. What is interesting is now after I restored my PC for the third time. HP can't find no updates. Maybe they stayed settled now?

    Graphics card runs at 70 C (used Unigine & Unigine Valley) Ran this several times with no problem. This blows my mind. Why would this work but not games.

    Peformance HP advisor no longer works. I uninstalled it and re-installed. Seems to be the slightest error out when he's looking for the graphics card.

    To be honest. It seems to deteriorate, and even worse plus I have restore and try the different troubleshooting steps. Nothing is really make sense logically here. I have difficulty computers for a living but seriously this thing gives me a hell of a time.

    I'm kind similarly not sure what more can be done.

    It seems that the Nvidia GTX860M is having issues. When I right click and go to the Nvidia Control Panel. There is not much information at this location, as it used to be. The only option I have is 3D settings. It even after the Nations United-stable and re - install.

    Any thoughts on where I should go with this? This PC is still under warranty and I year 3 help plan. Thanks in advance. I'm happy to give you any additional information. This thing is just blow my mind! Thank you!

    After tons and tons of troubleshooting I finally thought to it. I was on the phone with HP when I thought about it. They kept transfer me back and forth between the Department of hardware and software. They have not really help a lot.

    Just in case anyone else has this same problem.

    Laptop HP Omen 15 - Windows 8.1

    Symptom: Chart question - freezing/locking up when you play ANY game and when you launch HP performance Advisor.

    Solution: Uninstall Nvidia Graphics Card and Nvidia Ge Force experience. Also everything that said Nvidia in your Add/Remove Programs Control Panel.

    Go to HP and download the Nvidia graphic card on there website to your PC. Do NOT install the driver of Nvidia graphics from the site Web of Nvidia card.

    NVIDIA is currently on 352 or something like that. I downloaded 348 or anything that was on the HP website. Everything works find now. NVIDIA has missed something there put the driver.

    Of NVIDIA Geforce experience will NOT work. What is the best so good solution? Playing games or using the Geforce experience.

    Hope this helps anyone who runs into this problem.

  • Question of graphics 3D Satellite A300-23d

    I bought a Satellite A300-23d about 4 weeks ago. I use my laptop for graphics and the game. I used it with no problems at all during the first 2 weeks. But later, during the game Anno 1404 suddenly some scattered polygons and textures purpleish appeared. I thought it is the result of the game. But I started to see these artifacts in all games. Now, I can't yet play 3D games on my pc. After you start a game, I see a yellow-red-purple checkered kind on my screen and polygons get spiky.

    It looks like a hardware malfunction. Because I tried the update of drivers and hard drive recovery. It is getting worse day after day. Windows works perfectly fine (except that I got approximately 4 BSOD) but I can't play 3D games! What can I do? The only solution I think it gives for repair. I get the objects even when you play with powerplay (underclocked). It is not a heat problem. And if you ask, I'm not overclocking my laptop. With the help of stock parameters.

    Hello

    BSOD is a sign of hardware or software problem and eventually it s related to the GPU question
    If the new OS didn't install help, I'd recommend contacting the guys of ASP.

    Good luck

  • Games graphics

    How can I improve my graphics performance of game? I have windows vista Home Premium

    Discuss what you want to play the games, and what are their needs in terms of graphics, with your local Computer Repair Shop Tech.
    Or you can ask in the Forums special games online.

    You will have to buy/upgrade your graphics card to improve graphics performance...

    And always make sure you have the latest installed graphics card drivers.
    You get from site of graphics card manufacturer, NOT through Windows updates.

    You can repost you this question in Forum games for Vista:

  • PowerEdge t110 ii question: map graphic and HARD drive

    Hello

    I recently bought a t110 ii with the Xeon E3-1230v2. I bought it for self-study and use as a work/homelab station server. (I got for a price lower than any offer of work/Office equaluivalent position).

    I searched on google for answers and couldn't find the messages dating back to 2012-2013.

    I was wondering if anyone has experience with compatible graphics cards that were released this year or last year.

    I understand that the PCIe connector can support up to 8 x power 25w (as read on other discussions).
    Is there a graphics cards of current generation that I could use.

    I'm not planning to use this for the games, the main use will be for virtualization and use it as a workstation from time to time.

    Then regarding politics HDD/RAM and the Dell warranty,.

    I was using my own disk sata hard and the possible upgrading ram later down the line. Open the chassis for upgrades or install third-party components will void warranty of the machine even if these elements were the reason for the failure.

    I would have purchased from Dell, but unfortunately cannot me like my student budget.

    SR2002,

    As Dell does not recommend 3 party graphics cards, the T110II supports it. Given that we do not recommend the use of them, we are actively testing the different manufacturers. Now, I met a former postwhere, they say, they used a NVIDIA GeForce G210 512 MB DDR2 PCI Express video card in the T110 II and it worked.

    To answer your next question, add and upgrade parts to the server will NOT void your warranty, but added devices that has been obtained through Dell will not be covered by the warranty.

    Let me know if this helps answer your questions.

  • HP h8m question. Graphics card and power supply.

    Hi, I am planning to buy a HP h8m series. I just want to know if it is possible to update the graphics card (by default it is an AMD Radeon HD 6450) to an AMD Radeon 6950. For what I searched there are 2 drawbacks. First is the power supply. Default power, the computer has, I think that it's 300W and the graphic card requires 500W. So my first question is, this computer would be able to manage the change of power supply? The second question that I have, I read on the Internet that this graphics card is physically large in size, so, this computer can fit this graphics card? If there is no response, please can you me better graphics card, it can adapt without worrying about food? I think it can be great information to say that I'm looking animation 3D with this computer so I think I need a good graphics card. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Pablo

    Look over thisNVIDIA GTX 57. It has 2 GB of memory, which will help to 3D.  This card is longer and must adapt. You will need a bigger PSU such as recommended by OG.  A Corsair CX600 is a good choice

    Hello
    How do you assign more memory to the graphics card on laptop Satellite A200-1V0?
    Thank you

    Hello

    in your case it s not possible to change the size of graphics by yourself, memory as graphics memory in your machine is shared with main memory, so if you upgrade main memory and graphics memory should increase. But this question is governed by the chipset and the user has no influence on it.

  • Question about graphics cards for Equium L40 - 10 X

    HI - new to this, but really cut so I hope someone can help me. !

    I bought an Equium L40 - 10 X in August and thought it was good for what I wanted, especially after seeking advice and addressing the 'expert' at my local pcworld.

    However, I think that the graphics card is good enough to support the games I got - Medal of honor Warchest, Hitman Triple Pack and Call of Duty 2. They all sem to recommend a graphics card than nVidia as a minimum requirement. The card in the laptop is an Intel (r) 945 Express Chipset Family (I think) and the OS is Vista Home Premium.

    I have problems include the loss of graphics and stutter during playback.

    Can I have a nVidia graphics card or is the that I've had enough but I just need to change some settings?

    Really don't have an idea, so help would be much appreciated!

    Hello Dicker

    You are shown how the customer can purchase the wrong product. It may be your fault or due to bad Advisory Service. L40 books are pretty cheap with the average material. This laptop is good for everyday work (Office Automation, writing letters and surfing) but certainly not for the complex graphics applications and games.

    Sorry but there is not much to do. Only thing to do is to increase the RAM to the maximum, but forget the graphics card upgrade. Something like this is not possible.

    Good bye
