questions of base color

I would like to design a piece with different shades of green that work together.

1. is it correct to refer to 'shades' of green or is various shades of green or something else?

2. How can I use the color picker to select the different shades of green that will work all together?

Any info will be appreciated.

By definition, a "shadow" of a color refers to the color being mixed with black to create a dark value. "Hue" is when the color is mixed with white to create a lighter value.

I would like to spend some time playing with the color picker in Illustrator. It's really down to your personal preference of how to adjust your color. As you advance, you can save your samples in your library of color to have easy access to them later.

For a guide in depth Illustrator swatches, you can read through this help article: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/illustrator/cs/using/WS714a382cdf7d304e7e07d0100196cbc5f-628da .html

In addition, you can use the color Guide feature in Illustrator that can be accessed by clicking on window > color Guide. This will allow you to choose the tones and hues of a preselected color.

Here's a great article on how to create themes of colors with this feature: materail http://designshack.net/articles/graphics/build-awesome-color-palettes-effortlessly-in-illu /

Another option, you can look into is Adobe Kuler: http://kuler.adobe.com/#themes/mostpopular?time=30

Kuler is a free extension of Illustrator which is accessible by clicking on window > Extensions > Kuler to in Illustrator

You can see that when I search for 'green', several themes created by the user pop up.

Good luck!

  • How Illustrator choose the base color when creating a new group of colors?

    I'm just curious on all selection and the creation of the Group color process.

    base_color.png

    On the above document, I have 5 rectangles of the same size, filled with 5 different colours. If I type Cmd + A to select all, then go into the swatches Panel and click on "New color group", I got the color group marked as G1 in the image above.

    If I want the colors appear in the same order (G2 in the picture), making the left most red color as the base color, I must first create an empty group, and then add each sequence color myself.

    So I wonder how Illustrator decides what color take it as the base color?

    I think that it is the angle of the color first, and then S B or vice versa.

    Stacking order is not serious.

    But why is this important to know?

    You're almost certainly using OS X 10.9 Mavericks and running Lightroom 5.0.

    Update of Lightroom 5.2 or 5.3.

    That should fix it.

  • A few questions about the colors of Patone

    I have a few questions about patone color since it is the first time that I use. I want to use them to create a paper letterhead and business cards in two colors.

    1)

    I don't understand that no sex is more than coated patone washed out colors. I heard that it's because the way paper absorbs the inkt. That is why the same results inkt in different colors on different papers (right?). My question is why is the patone black no sex so different than black normal (c = 0 m = 0 y = 0, k = 100) or black intense:

    blacks.png

    When I print a normal document with cmyk, I can get pretty dark black color. How is it that I can't have this dark with patone color black color? Even text documents printed on a cheap printer can get a darker color than the color of Patone. He looks way too grey for me.

    (2) a first model, I want to print of patone in CMYK color (since I have like 10 different colors on a page of quick comparison). I know these CMYK colors distinguish the colors of patone and I can't get a representation of 100%. But is there a way to convert patone CMYK values?

    I hope some of you can help me with my questions.

    Thank you.

    You can get shades CMYK Pantone in Illustrator, (Swatches Panel > Open Swatch Library > color books > + PANTONE Color Bridge Coated or lying) but in my opinion, what's the point?  If you print to a digital printer, just use RGB (HSB) or CMYK. Personally, I never use CMYK called "equivalents." from Pantone

    Pantone colors are all mixed pigmented inks, which are fluorescent beyond the limits of the range of RGB and CMYK in particular. The original Pantone Matching System (PMS) was created for the printing industry. He described formulations of ink pigmented for each of its colors.

    Most digital printers (laser or inkjet) use CMYK. The range of CMYK is MUCH SMALLER than many mixed inks, printed on papers either paved or unpaved can deliver. When you specify no sex Pantone ink in artificial intelligence, according to Pantone conversion tables, HAVE "about" what will look like this color on a sheet no bed, try using CMYK. -In my opinion, this has little relevance to the real world conditions and should be avoided in most situations.

    If your project must be printed on a press printing with Pantone inks spots, then by all means, use Pantone colors. But don't trust the colors of the screen; rather get a Pantone swatch book and watch real inks on paper lying and uncoated, depending on the stock you will use on the press.

    With printing decreases rapidly for inkjet and web printers, Pantone has attempted to expand its relevance beyond the traction-date of publication (in the books and software alliances, with one such as Adobe) his old PMS inks and their supposed equivalent LAB and CMYK. I say "supposed" because even once, monitors RGB and CMYK inks can never be literally equivalent to many Pantone inks. But if you go to your project on a printing press printing, Pantone inks are still very relevant as of the "tones".

    I also put my preferences I > appearance of black both display all blacks accurately and output all blacks accurately. The only exception to this may be when you print on a digital printer, where there should be no problem checking.

    Rich black in artificial intelligence is a phenomenon of the screen, at least in the Prefs > appearance of Black, you specify also "out all inks like Rich Black"-something I'd do it EVER do so out for a real printing press. Still, I put my black people in artificial intelligence at the "output All Blacks Acurately" during a press release. If you fail to do so, then the press you will see any minor issue registration, with C, M and look at the back, especially around black characters.  UGH!

    Good luck!  :+)

  • How can I change the base color in the work of Recolor settings?

    How can I change the base color in the work of Recolor settings? I know that this seems a silly thing but I really need to figure this point and I have read and went through the manual and the forum for help, without result. Help, please.

    Click the color you want in the "new color" column. Then click the base color next to the list of color harmonies, which will change then, but the harmonies of color will depend on your desired color.

  • Random colors are too dark. Questions on the color boxes

    Hey all,.

    I'm trying to change the color of the plots on a graph of mixed signals remotely using the 'color box' which works very well. However, I'll also put squares of color to a color at random when the program starts first of all which is where my problem lies.

    What I am doing, is that I have a random number generator pumping a number then I multiply the number by 10000000, just to give me some brighter than the dark colors, and then I wired to I'm defining the random color on the color box control. The problem is that even if it does not the decent colors some colors produced are quite dark and difficult to see on the graph of mixed signals.

    I could make the graphic background a different color if I have to in order to see a majority of the colors coming out, but I would rather that have the colors come out on the side that is bright and colorful.

    So I have two questions for you guys and girls:

    1) how the colors of the colorbox get determined using the unsigned int 32?

    Such an example of why I'm confused, is that the number I had is 5726420 from the random number generator (+ multiplies), but under the control of colorbox RGB value is R:87 G:96 B:212. Why is this?

    2) there is any type of algorithm out there that someone did which can produce random values that will give the kind of colors neony? or whatever it is semi bright indeed?

    Any help is very appreciated!

  • Two questions about the color of Lumetri (workspace color)

    The first question:

    Let´s I have three clips on the timeline, left to right, A clip, clip B and C clip. If I place the CTI to clip B and then move on to working color space that I can easily do magic with color Lumetri in the Lumetri color Panel. But, if I decide now that the adjustments I made to clip B would be great to use for the C clip, is there a way to simply click a button or assign a keyboard shortcut that auto-magiquement copy the clip B to the C clip settings? (the clip B to clamp A (or) It would speed up the workflow much.

    Yes, I know that I can copy/paste from the effect options, but given that the Lumetri color Panel is right and options effect is extreme left would be great avoid using the mouse too. Avid Media Composer has this function is very convenient. I guess that Final Cut Pro 7 did not have it. If she had been in Premiere Pro...

    The second question:

    Is there a way to alternate the color of Lumetri power of in Lumetri color instead of the effect controls panel? Yet once, too much mousing for such a task simple. If I select the color of Lumetri in effect options I can use the hotkey "effect on" to toggle color Lumetri or not, but this same shortcut does not work in Lumetri Panel which is odd color.

    Any help is appreciated!

    1. Unfortunately, no.  It's just one of the many features that we had in SpeedGrade have not yet in PP, Adobe decision taken to kill premature Direct relationship.

    2. Fortunately, Yes.  There's a shortcut not assigned for this.  I use the 0, the default key in SpeedGrade.

  • What is the best use of color as a base color before colorization?

    Hi people,

    I used the color tutorial to recolor the car from green to gold...  Or gold to green...  And I can't change the colors of the images using this method...

    I'm working on a product that comes in different colors - Let's say that brushes.  I would like to actually spray paint a broom handle and then photograph it.  Then I'll do 10 ten copies of the original image and change the color of each image.  Lets say, I want to show the brushes in white, silver, gray, red, blue, green, black, and so on...  As Republic bike | Build custom Aristote fixed gear bike | built by us and you

    My question: what is the best color for me paint my broom handle to make easy colorize?

    Thank you

    I'd go with 50% gray.  The following illustration shows a black and white gradient, with a cut H/S color adjustment layer, as well as the bottom half hidden by the layer mask.  White is the worst possible color.  You can colorize black full by adjusting the brightness slider in the H/S layer.

  • question of printing color

    Can I use different CMYK percentages depending on the size of the type to be printed to achieve the same appearance of color?

    Brand guides are important.  Cool Gray #6 = 30 % K.  Lots of color there.  Not necessary to compensate for the size.  The point is, the CMYK formula should not change until there is a redesign and update of the Guide of the brand.  Otherwise, to change would be an infringement of rights of use of the copyright.  Why is this particular color and size to a question?

  • Question about the color picker.

    Hello fellow Canadians.

    I'm running on a question in Photoshop CC today, it all started when I tried to start a new project. Basically what happens is that when creating a new document (Ctrl + N) the color chart of RBG grayscale. I tried to open a new document and checked the profile of color on the Options in advance and saw that it was made gray work: Dot gain 20%. When I go in Edition > color settings: I see that color profiles are on normal parameters...

    I tried everything, but for some reason it does not work. I also saw that before you create a new document, the colors are set to normal.

    Note: When you try to change the color profile is what I get:

    • Grey work: Dot gain 20%
    • Don't Color manage this Document (this option is always set to gray scale.
    • Point to save 10%
    • Dot Gain 15%
    • Point 20% gain
    • Point 25% gain
    • Point 30% gain
    • Gray gamma 1.8
    • Gray Gamma 2.2
    • sGRaY

    Anyone know what I can do to solve this problem. ?

    There is nothing wrong. No preferences setting is necessary.

    You have just the dialog box new file set to grayscale. Change it to RGB:

    This happens when you copied a document in grayscale on the Clipboard (as for example a mask). The dialog box new file reads Clipboard settings and creates the new file accordingly (except if you choose an other presets).

    Hi Renee,.

    Here is an example highlighting the background color of the field nested inside a repeating subform based on the index of the repeating subform. The background color will not change enter/exit the fields but will create a color pattern similar to shadow line of the tables.

    This JavaScript script lives in the repeating subform AdditionalAssaysSubform indexChange event.

    nIndex var = this.instanceIndex;
    nColor var;

    If (nIndex % 2 == 0)
    nColor = "240,240,240";
    on the other
    nColor = "255,255,255";

    Use the following if you want to change the background color of the object
    AddedAssaysDropdown.border.fill.color.value = nColor;
    AddedAssaysDataTable.border.fill.color.value = nColor;
    AddedAssayAvgNeg.border.fill.color.value = nColor;
    AddedAssayDisplacement.border.fill.color.value = nColor;

    Or background color of the following if you want to change the widget
    AddedAssaysDropdown.ui.oneOfChild.border.fill.color.value = nColor;
    AddedAssaysDataTable.ui.oneOfChild.border.fill.color.value = nColor;
    AddedAssayAvgNeg.ui.oneOfChild.border.fill.color.value = nColor;
    AddedAssayDisplacement.ui.oneOfChild.border.fill.color.value = nColor;

    See you soon
