  To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

     If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password, or click continue.
  2. Locate the following registry subkey and click on it:
     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TapiSrv
  3. In the details pane, right-click ImagePath, and then click Edit.
  4. In the value data box, type the following registry value, and then click OK:
     %SystemRoot%\System32\svchost.exe k NetworkService

     Note If NetworkService does not appear in the value of registry NetworkService %SystemRoot%\System32\svchost.exe - k, the problem that is described in the "Symptoms" section may occur.

  5. Exit the registry editor and restart the computer.

     Note If you try to start the telephony service before you restart the computer, you may receive the following error message:

     Error 1290: Starting the service failed because one or more services in the same process have a service SID inconsistent type parameter. A service with service restricted SID type can only coexist in the same process with other services with a restricted SID type. If the type of SID for this service has been configured, you must restart the hosting process in order to start this service.

  With or without the adapter is connected to the computer (well known socket), the computer will not turn on.  The LED located on the left side of the computer where the socket is attached blinks 3 times (white), but does not supply power to the top.  Another post I saw said "continuous" flashing would be the power adapter, but wanted to ensure that it is in fact the problem before buying a new...  Any help would be great!

  I understand that the computer will not turn on. However, when you connect the AC adapter of the power port light flashes 3 times.  Please check that the power cord is not one of the recall. HP laptop AC Power Cord Safety retirement program and replacement announced August 26, 2014 .  You use a power bar?  Have you tried a different outlet? Here is a link to the HP laptops - tests and using the AC adapter which can also help.

• Windows time service does not start. Error 1290

  I was a matter of troubleshooting time and performed the following commands

  net stop w32tm
  w32tm /unregister
  w32tm /register
  net start w32tm

  And I got an error message.  (the document is not)
  Went to services and tried to manually start the service and reveived the following message is displayed.

  I suggest that you restart your computer after you complete the steps. If you already have, I suggest that you restart the computer again. Any changes made to the registry would be effective only on a reboot.

  I also suggest that you perform the same steps and check the registry again and restart the computer.

  Once you restart the computer, try to start the service and check if you are able to boot.

  I put t know why this happens, but it has to do with the BIOS.
  The same thing happened on my old laptop. I couldn't start my unit while the USB printer has been turned on and connected.
  The only solution is to disconnect the external USB device during the boot process.

  RSY you should check if the order of boot in the BIOS has been on the HARD drive first.

• Time machine does not take into account my partition which is case-sensitive.  Recovery has no data of this partition.

  I have a partition on my drive that is formatted for OS X Journaled, case sensitivity.  When I perform a backup, then recovery, all data in this partition is missing.  Time Machine does not recognize partitions of case-sensitive?  Strange, as the default format for Time Capsule itself is case sensitive.

  You cannot use the formatting case-sensitive with OS X. You will need to repartition the drive to Insensitive in full. You can not do any repairs or restore from a backup Time Machine.

  Recently, I upgraded my Macbook Pro and iMac 24 to El Capitan.  Time Machine does not automatically work on the iMac.   I now use the backup to get a backup to run.  MacBook Pro is very well.

  Thinking that this might be the associated time Capsule, I removed the disc from the Capsule and ran Spinrite on it.  Car is very good.  Then I deleted all the files on the Time Capsule and created new Time machine backups on two computers.  No problem, except the iMac not run automatically Time machine.
