  Thanks for your reply.  I think someone forgot to say my PC that quick start is not compatible with 8.1 it worked 8.1 for six months with Quickstart works well, that's why I wanted it for my new laptop.  And thanks for the head, I think I'll just bite the bullet and learn the intracies of 8.1 and it's quite modern apps.

  How did you blocked quickstart to start at startup?

  Follow these steps:

  a. Click Start, type "msconfig" in the search box
  b. search for quickstart in the "Startup" tab
  c. and uncheck the 'quick start', click 'apply '.

• Wireless Internet w/QuickStart, but not with the regular boot of Win7

  I have a Pavilion dv4-4141us.  With QuickStart/QuickWeb, the laptop has no trouble to connect to my wireless network and Internet usage.  But, when I do a normal in Win7 start, although the lapop connects to wireless normally, it does not provide a connection to the Internet.  If I connect to the router via Ethernet, then cable and wireless connections are good.

  I compared the security type, MAC address, IP address, etc. and can't find no difference between the regular starting values and a quick start.  Troubleshooting Win7 app isn't any help. He recommends that I reboot the router - I did many times without any effect on the problem at all.

  I use the same network wireless with an iPad without any problem, and I have no problem using the Ethernet connection to share files and printers between the laptop, an other PC Win7 and Ubuntu Linux a PC.

  Bottom line: my HP laptop does everything well except wireless Internet (except in quick start mode).

  Uninstall via the control panel in Windows, simply download and reinstall Quickstart 1.1.8.8 ...

  When I install

  fmw_12.1.3.0.0_soa_quickstart2.jar

  and start JDeveloper, there is no entry menu unter tools / preferences called SOA / Templates, as well as Windows.

  Where can I find it?

  Please, try the following steps:

  (1) start JDeveloper

  (2) create a new SOA Application

  (3) output JDeveloper

  (4) restart JDeveloper

  (5) open the preferences and the entry for SOA and patterns should be there.

• Cloudera-QuickStart-VM-5.3.0-0-VMware is not opening in system 64-bit windows 8 with 11 workstation

  I downloaded VM from the site of cloudera. I tried to open the virtual machine by using the VM ware workstation 11, whenever I try to play the virtual machine, it's just flashes with black screen for a second, then goes. I couldn't find which continues. I was able to play the same VM a month ago on 64-bit windows system 7. Can any body please look at the log file attached and help out me.

  The absence of error message (i.e. "flashes with black screen for a second and goes") is due to the configuration of the virtual machine that contains the following line:

  Msg.autoanswer = 'true '.

  This configuration option will prevent Workstation informing you of all sorts of problems... I recommend removing it: leave the work station, and then open C:\Mywork\Hadoop\cloudera-quickstart-vm-5.3.0-0-vmware\cloudera-quickstart-vm-5.3.0-0-vmware.vmx in a text editor and remove this line in the file, and then restart the Workstation and open the virtual machine again.

  Then you will see the error message:

  This virtual machine is configured for 64-bit operating systems. However, the 64-bit mode is not possible.

  This host supports Intel VT - x, but Intel VT - x is disabled.

  Intel VT - x can be disabled if it has been disabled in the BIOS/firmware settings or host was not powered by bicycle since changing this setting.

  (1) check that the settings BIOS/firmware activate Intel VT - x and disable "trust execution."

  2 turn on the host if either of these BIOS/firmware settings have been changed.

  (3) turn on the host if you have not done since the installation of VMware Workstation.

  (4) update of the BIOS/firmware from the host to the latest version.

  Follow these instructions and see if you can enable VT - x in the BIOS of the host, then you should be able to on your VM.

If you click the icon it opens adobe reader. I deleted Adobe reader using Add or remove programs and the icons back to normal. Yet once, I downloaded and installed Adobe reader 11. the problem has resurfaced. then again, I've uninstalled adobe reader software and installed Adobe Reader version 10 with the same question back. I have now uninstalled Adobe Reader. Please advise on how to install a working copy Adobe reader which will not infect or impinge upon other programs in my laptop.

  It is not possible to change or not add programs... & no console or terminal...

  It is not the intention for Quickstart replace a complete system, like Windows or Linux, only for the young, internet access, messaging, overview, listen to the music... but not more...

  If you want a complete linux without changing anything windows... try Jolicloud express (installs in a folder hidden under Windows). ... Benefits are... will do not destroy your current system restore... If didn't want more you could easily uninstall windows system like a normal program, via uninstall it...

• Need SalesFact.csv in the QuickStart application (version 2.3 OEID)?

  I'm new to OEID, I downloaded short 2.3 delivery and exploring it. After loading the sample in the QuickStart application I was Explorer and learn the clover ETL. In this process, I lost the data of SalesFact.csv (present in datain the QuickStart project folder) that comes with almost 65000 + records. Now options to me are-
  (1) application re - install the 2.3
  (2) people who have the QuickStart sample application installed, look for the SalesFact.csv file.
  
  So if please think if no alternative or can you please give me SalesFact.csv?

  Hi Deepak,

  If you open project and delete or rename "quick start", you can then go to "Help-> Welcome' and 'open and check the quick start project" for a clean/new copy of the quickstart project.
