RAC lsinventory OPATCH details

lsinventory-detail opatch shows me

RAC system composed of several nodes

Local node = kusnwk01

Remote node = kusnwd0u

Remote node = kusnwd0v

Remote node = kusnwk02

But when I ask olsnodes s - t, I just:

kusnwk01 Active pinned

kusnwk02 Active pinned

Kindly let me know how opatch hence is opatch pick these data and hwo to remove details of "kusnwd0u/kusnwd0v".

usually its not good option to delete the entires of this xml file. It would have been deleted if deleting the node was correctly

you need to run below on both nodes

CD $ORACLE_HOME/Yes/bin

. / runInstaller - updateNodeList ORACLE_HOME = $ORACLE_HOME "CLUSTER_NODES = {correct nodes with commas}" - local

Look at the error message.  bash (shell processor) said you that he could not find an executable named "opatch.  And why couldn't he?  Because, unlike Windblows., * nix is not, by default, search the current directory to find executable files.  He seeks only the directories listed in the variable, or else he must be told where the executable referenced explicitly.

    You could do the following:

    . / lisinventory opatch

(saying bash to search the directory current... that is what the "point")

    or

    /U01/app/Oracle/product/10.2.0/Db_1/OPatch/opatch lsinventory

(developer bash the full path to the executable file)

    or

    export PATH = $ORACLE_HOME/OPatch: $PATH

    lsinventory opatch

(adding to the directory containing the executable file for the path.

As with all products Oracle Opatch has probably changed over time.
It was introduced in 9.2.0.6 announce 9.2.0, which is a valid, non-existent version number.
I remember that Opatch simply does not work for older versions of 9.2.
Also it is most likely at the outset that it was not possible to specify the location of the inventory on the command line.
Without more information from your side, it just seems that you are running the wrong version of the opatch against an incorrect version of the database. Not surprisingly, this translates exceptions, and those can also not be addressed.
Please make sure that you are running the correct software.
If you think that this is an error, make sure that you complete the retail version and correct from the start.

There is nothing in this hotfix.
His latest version of the OPatch utility.
Exisitng OPatch directory and rename it OPatch_old.
You can extract the patch in a temporary location and then copy it into ORACLE_HOME or you can extract directly to the existing OPatch directory.

Then check by using the version of opatch

    [oracle@test ~] $ opatch version
    OPatch Version: 11.2.0.3.0

  • Issue of patching: OPatch failed with the error code 1

I'm trying to patch an AIX server which has 11.1.0 and 11.2.0.3 installed software. He has a 11.2.0.3 current database.

I have the cd to $ORACLE_HOME/OPatch and ran lsinventory opatch command and got the following result:

    > lsinventory opatch

    OPatch Version: 11.1.0.10.2

    YES Version: 11.2.0.3.0

The OPatch version is not applicable to the current version of YES.

Because YES Version begins with 11.2, go to "My oracle Support" and get right O 11.2 patch . *. *. * from the patch 6880880 , version version 11.2.0.0.0 and the appropriate platform.

I know that it uses incorrect opatch because when I run that opatch, it displays:

    and it should be

    /U01/app/Oracle/product/11.2.0.3.0/Db_1/opatch

    Thank you and best regards,

first of all, I feel that if you 10.3.0.2.0 you must install patches for this version and not 10.3.3.0. It could operate a facility but it might give you errors, the best is that you upgrade your olite and then install the patches.

about the error you, I see that opatch found perl. Check where perl is installed .mine is for example
C:\app\Administrator\product\11.1.0\db_1\perl\5.8.3\bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread (im also using win 2003 Server). Add to the path environment variable (may need to restart the server taken into account). You must be very well

your way of D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\perl\*5.8.3*\lib;D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\perl\5.8.3\lib\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread is valid? is there perl? Set it to the path variable not perl_home
Let me know if it works

  • Problem Opatch

    Hello

Just like asking for help if someone faced with a similar situation.

When I execute opatch lsinventory (or any kind of opatch < command options >), I encounter the below error:

    * oracle @ < Server >: [u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.0.7.4/db_1] $ opatch lsinv *.

    I tried the following:
    a. I have tried to run the opatch including the absolute path of the directory ORACLE_HOME/OPatch and it works, please see below:

    #######################################################################################################################
    Oracle @ < Server >: [u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.0.7.4/db_1] $ $ORACLE_HOME/OPatch/opatch version
    Citing O Patch 11.1 .0.8.3

    OPatch Version: 11.1.0.8.3

    OPatch succeeded.

    b. then I checked the $PATH value and the ORACLE_HOME is included in the $PATH variable, please see below:

    #######################################################################################################################
    Oracle @ < Server >: [u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.0.7.4/db_1] $ echo $PATH

    c. I have tried to run the path given for $PATH opatch, please find below the result:

    See you soon

  • Versions Opatch and backward compatibility.

Hi all, regarding the Opatch, have always used Opatch to patch a database of the same version, i.e. O Patch 10.2 . 0.3.2 patch a 10.2.0.3 database.

I now need to apply additional patches which requires O Patch 10.2 . 0.3.3 or higher. I downloaded the latest version of Opatch of Metalink (10.2.0.4.8), but I just want to confirm that Opatch 10.2. 0.4.x can be used to patch a 10.2.0.3 database?

I made a lsinventory opatch against the ORACLE_HOME, that works, but looking a little more before confirmation apply patches (i.e. don't want to corrupt the inventory etc..)

    Thanks for any advice.

Yes, you can use Opatch for that matter.

  • How to get a list of all components in the EPM environment and their versions?

    Hi all

    E.M.P. verison 11.1.2.2.x

I was wondering if there is an easier way to get a list of all components of the EPM environment (planning, Shared Services, EAS, Manager of Calc, etc.) and versions for them all.

Currently I just go to help-> about the browser, but through the workspace, it gives only the version of workspace of the tabs and irrelevant.

I'm trying to find the version so that I can apply the relevant patches.

    Thank you
