  Recently, I bought a Dell R410 server with a raid PERC S100 without search controller before that. Problem is that I need to install a Linux OS and as it seems, this controller does not support linux.

  Because I was in a hurry, but they can also help in my situation, I bought the following cables:

  So my question is. Is there a solution to this problem? I tried to disable/remove the S100, but the MB does not detect hard drives. The server is with a bottom of basket.

  I need to update PERC 5 / i firmware on a 2950, but when I go to the support.dell.com website and access the 2950 s, updates of firrmware SAS RAID only I see are for PERC 5/E, PERC 6 / i, or PERC 6/IR.  I see a Win2008 driver for 5 / I, but I am running VMware on this server.  What I'm missing here?

  Mainly because I'm very comfortable with XP and don't want anything too flashy with RAM

  Now, I installed XP and all the drivers are good with the exception of the video
  It doesn't seem to be a compatible video driver for Win XP and although I found 1 somewhere on the net the mobile installs it and then nothing happens... Center of how ATI catylist or something...

  Are you sure you need to RAID or SCSI (not SSCI) for Satellite C650 driver?
  As far as I know this model doesn't support this type of material

  I think that you need drivers for the SATA controller. This package is called Intel Storage Manager and can be downloaded from the official website of Toshiba.

Max resolution seems to be 1600 x 1200.  I want to improve my (two) monitors and the graphics card in order to better support my work Adobe Lightfoot.  I did not and never going to make any game.  Power supply of the desktop computer is 300W.

  Here is a video card which should do what you need.  It's a little above your budget, but it is really worth the extra money.  The plug on the State of EVGA Web site she needs at least 300W to work properly.  However, there have been several reports on the forum think 400W is needed.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.

  If you decide to buy it you can try with your current converter of power supply (PSU).  It will not damage anything.  It simply will not work correctly.
