  • Satellite P25-S509 - RAM expansion

I have a Satellite P25-S509/PSP20U-ILKF3V and I am looking for instructions on adding ram. The underside of the computer's installed ram 1 GB and am looking to add another GB of Ram. They told me that I have to remove the screen and lift the keyboard to go to the area of expansion on this laptop. This device has a max of 2 GB, can someone help me with this?

    Thanks, Dan

    Hi faccipointi,

Usually the second RAM slot is placed on the underside that you already wrote and founded, but the first RAM slot should be under the keyboard. This means that you need to remove the keyboard to upgrade the RAM module.

    Can find you it?

  • Satellite C660D - 13 H - compatibile RAM expansion modules?

I have Satellite C660D - 13 H with 2 GB of RAM on board and you want to update with 4 GB or 2 GB module.

I know that my laptop can be upgraded to full capacity 8 GB of RAM, that is max 4 gigabits per slot memory and any module of 8GB only.

I would appreciate a suggestion on 2 or 4 GB RAM modules for Toshiba or compatibile Kingston.

    Thanks to all in advance.

  • Question about RAM expansion on satellite notebook

    Hi all

I am currently looking to upgrade the ram on a satellite notebook. I looked everywhere and couldn't find what model it is, the model number is PSA-00300C8J if that helps.

Now I looked and you can see that the laptop has only 192 MB of ram installed, this seems quite strange to me, I always thought that he came from very specific amounts, 256, 512, etc..

So what I want to know is-

Should what kind of ram I buy?
Can I put 2 gig in there?
How many sticks should I buy?
What can I do with the old RAM?
How much should I look for to pay?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • 14 - af110nr: Ram expansion to 14-af110nr

Only 2 GB of Ram! How we missed it? We just got a 14-af110nr and will need to add more Ram. Anyone know what kind of Ram it accepts and is accessible.

We could discuss trying to update, but if you have any possibility to empty these laptops do it immediately. Between processor AMD e1 lame, pathetic 2 GB of RAM and hard drive SSD of inadequate 32 gig, you won't enjoy their use. For the record, it's one of the models where even the memory is soldered to the motherboard, so there is no way to upgrade, really.

    See p. 2:

Supports up to 2 GB of system memory shipped max (for models equipped with processors E1-6010)

  • HP G61 - 420 CA: HP G61 - 420 CA Ram Expansion?

I am able to extend the Ram on my HP G61 - 420CA?  The vehicle currently has 3 (2.75 usable) GB, I want to develop to the maximum possible.

Max is 4 GB. It uses the DDR2-800 SO-DIMM

    http://www.Amazon.com/2048MB-Samsung-original-PC2-6400-so-DIMM/DP/B0026SD96G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1436097297&SR=8-1&keywords=DDR2-800+so-DIMM

Look at about 01:00 on this video:

    http://www.Amazon.com/2048MB-Samsung-original-PC2-6400-so-DIMM/DP/B0026SD96G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1436097297&SR=8-1&keywords=DDR2-800+so-DIMM

It may not seem like much, but upgrading 3 to 4 gigs will be quite noticeable as you go also to the operation memory dual channel when you install 2 identical modules and this will speed up things a bit. More Windows 7 uses about 3 GB of RAM to run normally, and adding an extra concert dynamic extension makes all the difference. Replace the 1 gig by a 2 gig module.

  • RAM Expansion Acer aspire AX1800-E1232

    Hello

I have an Acer aspire AX1800-E1232 and wanted to update the current 4 GB 8 GB ram. I bought 2 x 4 GB Ballistix DDR3 - 1600 and I tried install but they will not fit. The ram slots match up with the slots on the motherboard.

    Is anyway to fix this?

I always thought that the ram is pretty universal, why the 2 x 4 GB Ballistix DDR3 - 1600, doesn't fit DO NOT in my Acer aspire AX1800-E1232 stock motherboard?

    Hi FadderBeef!

No, RAM is not universal (that you've found!). There are 2 main types (for modern machines) and DDR3 & DDR2, which now gets a little old. Then there are speeds too!

Best thing to do is to install Crucial System Scanner . It will scan your system and Advisor & recommend the right RAM for your PC.

  • Lenovo 3000 n200 ram expansion

Hi, I just bought a lenovo 3000 N200, it comes with 1 GB of ram... the thing is, I want to extend to 3 GB. When I bought it, they told me to come back Monday to install an aditional GB (you was a combo) and a promotion of lenovo, I won another GB (hu a little lucky!), can it be upgraded to 3 GB of ram? and if so, should it be 1 GB per slot or it takes 1 GB + 2 GB (2 slots)... Thank you very much in advance for your answers!

It would probably be the case. But for normal use, 2 gig should be easy to do.

Problem is that the Mac is very picky and not just any PC3-10600 1333 MHz modules will work.

Your best bet is to buy for providers like OWC and Crucial memory modules that specialize iMac RAM.

  • Satellite Pro A60 - confused about upgrading RAM

    Hello..
I updated my PSA65E-01201SEN RAM: 256 MB to 1.2 GB (over 1 GB). Now I want to increase by more than 1 GB. Apparently, in the sheet it says:
    1 x slot memory extension
    more,
    Standard system memory: 256 MB
    maximum scalability: 2 048 MB
    data bus width: 64-bit
    technology: DDR RAM
    expansion module sizes: 128, 256, 512, 1 024 MB

    I'm a little confused:
    (1) is the maximum scalability of 2 GB includes the "system memory" 256 MB?
    (2) if the top expansion module size is 1 GB, how the hell I'll reach 2 GB, as I have just 1 slot memory?

    help is welcome!
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Luis,.

From what I've been able to find out the A60 series comes with 1 on-board RAM module X (256 MB) and an expansion slot that can take a maximum of 1 GB of RAM which gives a maximum of 1.25 GB RAM.

I checked this on some sites web non-Toshiba as well and they all list the same details.

I think that the 2048 Mb you can be well cite an error in the list of specifications. As you say, it is not possible to reach this value with one slot available.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite 4090 on board the issue of RAM

    Hello.
    I have a S4090CDS/4.3 (PAS409EYV-EN9X,

It would seem that the RAM is faulty (boots ok, as soon as you get 1/2 way through all the facilities you start getting memory errors type.).
My question is, is the RAM on the main Board or on the processor board. Which is never someone has a part number or even a Board for sale.
    Thank you.

RAM on most laptops is removable, as in desktop systems. There is a compartment memory inside of your laptop that you can open yourself, discovering the memory modules.

You can test your existing RAM modules to find errors with MemTest (http://www.memtest86.com/). You just run the program, it copies itself on a floppy and with this diskette to start the tests.

Your User Guide will be an article on how to install or replace a memory bar. Order number for a Toshiba memory of 128 MB RAM expansion is PAPA2062U. For more information about the Options for your laptop, you can visit this page: http://www.toshiba-europe.com/bv/computers/products/notebooks/satellite4090/index.shtm

You can take a look at Kingston or Crucial to find the appropriate module for your laptop instead of buy a Toshiba that comes at a very heavy price because of the logo.

I have install 2 + 2 GB: BIOS correctly detect memory
Diagnosis Mode and OS, detected only 3, 2 GB :(

I know about 2 GB limit but can I change something (BIOS upgrade or LIKED) to change this limit?

Why the BIOS can detect 4GB?
    Deadline is - what chipset?
Can I fix it and what I should do?

This is a really easy thing to explain. You are using a 32-bit version of Vista or XP, which can only, because of its use of architecture 3, 2 GB of ram maximum.
To use all of your 4 GB, you will need to install an operating system 64-bit, like Vista or if you dare a 64-bit version of XP.

BIOS can detect all the 4 GB because the hardware supports it, but windows or your tools diagnostic steps, due to limitations of 32 Bit OSs.

Get a 64-bit operating system, and you can use it.

  • Pavilion 15 E3B55PA #ACJ: limit of RAM upgrade

I use a HP Pavilion 15 laptop (hp pavilion e015tx 15) and I understand the RAM can be upgraded to a maximum of 8 GB. I added a Kingston 8 GB stick and more existing 4 GB stick Elpida, and the properties of the system show 12 GB of RAM available.  I can use the laptop without problems (so far). If the guide specifies an upper limit of "suggested" RAM expansion or adding 12 concerts will interrupt?

    You are welcome.

Not really, two-channel happiness with two 4 GB gives almost identical performance compared to the 4 GB & 8 GB. But I see no problem with this, except that your model is UNTESTED in configuration 4 + 8 when he was released.
