  • Updates appearing always installed

I'm using Windows Vista and I recently installed everything on Windows Update for my system, but after the shutdown of my PC and start back up the next day and check windows update again, I see all the updates I have downloaded listed again. I can see my update history and I see them all the list so I was wondering why I keep seeing all the updates always on the list for me to download even if I already downloaded and installed the.

OK, now the nightmare is over... Look guys, those who still have this problem with the next update (KB954430) can follow these steps, but before I do that. I must be honest that these steps were sent to me by email from a Microsoft agent that his name is Mike Qu.
    So, these are the steps:

This problem occurs if the previous MSXML components are corrupted. I suggest delete and reinstall the MSXML components to get the problem resolved.

I hope that the problem is solved, seriously, he has worked with me and another computer in my home. Guys at the rate Microsoft is not as bad as people say, its right there is nothing perfect, but even Microsoft did a great job to help and to support its customers. However, when I open them in a photo viewer, or email them, they become desaturated. With the help of Windows 10. Anyone know why that would happen? It does not occur when I change a JPEG image. This happens only when I edit a raw in LR, then export to ch and, further editing and change the TIFF to JPEG file type.

  • NET 3.5 SP2 update KB985254 does not appear to install correctly.

I use the automatic update of Winows on my XP Pro SP3 and when I was asked to install the updated Net 3.5 SP2, I did it and it appeared to install correctly.  However, Winows Update icon appeared again and again.  Then I noticed that when I stopped my FCP, there was an update waiting to be installed.  I logged off the coast, the update appeared to install but when I started, there was the ison of update again.

On my laptop, installed upgrading, a reboot is required and installation is complete.

Why my office co does not work?

This is the same update offered over and over again.   I started the installer of Winows, removed the update in Add or remove programs and reinstalled, but the offer does not go far.

However, I subsequently installed four optional updates, including Microsoft .NET 4.0 Framework Client Profile for Windows XP x 86 (KB982670) and the problem disappeared.  All just lucky, I guess.

  • Multiport USB - C map update will not install

I thought that I had the answer to this, but...

I installed the update of the USB - C software shortly after its release. He reported "Successful Installation", but whenever I started the rMB there was a notification to install the update. A version check ( on a Multiport adapter update 1.0 - Apple Support USB-C ) revealed it had not updated.

I finally read the instructions on the screen to start during installation and travels account that the adapter needed to be plugged in and connected to a power source. I did this and tried to new installation but still have the splash screen. I tried installing a second time and it finally worked.

    Hi there Michael Paine,

It seems that the USB - C Update appears to install but you still have guests to update, and it has not actually installed. I'd start by starting in safe mode.  This erases some system-level caches and perform a disk check and repair if necessary.

Follow these steps to start in safe mode.

    1. Start or restart your Mac.
    2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
    3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

After the Apple logo appears, this may take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your office. This is because your Mac performs a check of directory of your drive to boot in safe mode.

To leave safe mode, restart your computer without pressing any keys during startup.

From: try safe mode if your Mac does not start-up

Then leave the mode safe mode with a normal restart and check if the driver is still installed, or if you can install it again correctly. If not, you should try to reset the PRAM and new test:

How to reset the NVRAM on your Mac.

If it still is not resolved then I would then reset your SMC and give it another go:

Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support, all the best!

  • Update KB951847 and KB936330 appear to install correctly, but still appear as available

I recently reinstalled Windows Vista from an HP recovery partition and tries to get all the available updates installed.

Update KB951847 KB936330 are listed according to availability, then appear to install almost instantly when I select the.

However, once the two are "settled", they both returned to appearing as available again. They appear several times in the update histroy, but do not appear in the list of installed updates. Accordingly, I find that they have not been installed.

KB936330 is Windows Vista Service Pack 1, which comes with its own specific warnings that it may take an hour to install and require several restarts, but when I agree to this direct to perform the installation, it 'full' almost instantly, so probably something wrong here.

I don't know if it's relevant, but I also installed AVG Free anti-virus.

    How should I proceed?

  • KB 2393802 appears to install correctly, but then the same update is offered and installed it again. It has been installed more than 32 times

Original title: KB 2393802 will not install and keeps back__

The windows above update keep coming back and will not be installed. If I check the update of victory it will tell me the update is available (no download, already installed on the machine), I so go ahead and install the update. About 2 or 3 minutes later the yellow flag appears indicating that KB2393802 is available. After the installation it tells me that it has been correctly installed. The event viewer also tells me it installed correctly. So far, in my history of editing, I have 32 incident KB2393802 cela being installed correctly.

    Any suggestions please?

(the only thing I've done is to rename the Catroot2 folder and restart the system according to the instructions in MS for about 2 years for another machine)

Original title: KB 2393802 will not install and keeps back__

The windows above update keep coming back and will not be installed. About 2 or 3 minutes later the yellow flag appears indicating that KB2393802 is available.

Let me take you, you are under Windows XP SP3. If true, and only if it is true, the following might help you resolve the issue (which is common for all updates kernel on Windows XP computers):

KB2393802 (MS11-011) is an update of the kernel, and since these are released for Windows XP, MS is not those to install properly for years as soon as it is an OEM System (with OEM drivers) installed on which these kind of updates must be installed on.

To get these updates for Windows XP is installed correctly on these systems, you will need to download the update from download area:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=a511d33a-9ae0-46EE-A225-9d97390de7d1
    * Save * the file in a folder and run the EXE file with the parameter "/ o" (like "/ overwriteOEM"-seehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/262841/en-us for more details on that and other parameters) subsequently.

Suppose you downloaded the English version of KB2393802 in a "Downloads" folder that is located on your C: drive. In this case, please restart Windows Mode safe mode (hit the [F8] key after the BIOS screen occurred while starting your machine). Then enter the following information * including * all blanks and the signs of the quote in "Run" in the start menu and press [Enter] or click OK, then:

    'C:\Downloads\WindowsXP-KB2393802-x86-ENU.exe' / o

After restarting Windows, the update should not be reaffirmed by WU/AU once again - at least after you visited Windows Update via IE and looked for new updates once more.

I understand that you now have returned back to factory settings and have installed all updates except for service packs.

    .

You will need to install the required service packs-

How to get the latest Vista Service Pack
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/935791

Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 service Pack is not available for installation via Windows Update
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/948343

You will need to install SP1 before installing Sp2.

Once your computer is up to date, then you can think of Windows 7

I can't help you with the trend, but from memory, you must allow it's Installer to download to facilitate the download and installation etc.

  • Cannot find Windows Platform Update in Windows Update, used to be here, but cannot be installed

I'm having a problem with the download of the update of the Windows platform. About two months ago the update appeared in Windows Update and I started the installation. However, my computer froze before the update was finished and had to be forced to close. I tried to install the update several times thereafter, but he kept stopping at 1%. I though I'd have another go at him today, but the update happened to Win. Update. It is not in the hidden no more updates.

I use Vista 32 and have installed SP2.

Does anyone have a solution? And please, I'm without a computer whizz and not a mother tongue English, so as short as possible will be much appreciated.

You SHOULD have installed the free trial Norton, (b) download / run the Norton removal and then c installed Norton Internet Security BEFORE the free trial period had expired, not after. [And no, Norton Support won't tell you this!]

This being said, cross your fingers and try the following:

[You may want to print these instructions for reference offline. If a step said to reboot, reboot.]

    1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

    2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

    3. After completing some you have a copy of your handy product key, uninstall all Norton software (including LiveUpdate and everything Norton Add ons) via Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program (or Control Panel |) Programs and features, if you are using the classic view).

4 IMPORTANT! -Online activate Windows Firewall immediately after the restart.

NB: Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) until you have completed step #7 below!

    5. right click on the file that you saved in step #1 above, and then select run as administrator.  DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

    6. do a clean install of Norton Internet Security 2011 (using your product ID, if need be) & reboot. CF. http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080514162318EN

NOTE: Do NOT activate or install additional modules of Norton (for example, Norton Anti-Phishing) immediately.

    7. manually and repeatedly run LiveUpdate (Norton) until you get a prompt "no update more".

    8. open Internet Explorer (only) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 & run the difficulty.

    9. open Internet Explorer (only) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 & run that set it by DEFAULT and modes and AGGRESSIVE. [1]

    10. restart a last time & test.

NOTE: The platform update (KB971644) is ONLY available through Windows Update.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    [1] full Disclosure: the difficulty operating in AGGRESSIVE mode will remove your update history but not the list of installed updates.
