  Hi all.

  I just bought a HP - Pavilion HPE - h8-1234 PC and want to buy more RAM.

  I know I need 240 pin DIMM PC3 - 12800 DDR3 - 1600, but I see a lot of times sellers will list timing and latency.

  As latency case: 8 and Timing: 8-8-8-24

  I have read technical data online for the PC as well as information of available memory on the HP site but have not found anything that talks about timing RAM and latency.

  I read a few forum posts where people said they had to change the BIOS settings to get their PC to recognize their RAM due to a speed issue or because the system wouldn't start after they have installed more RAM.

  I really don't want to have to dink with the BIOS.  I just want to buy something that will work with the existing system.

  This is a thorough article on the timings of the RAM. With single channel mode, the timings fall usually the lowest common denominator. Mode double channel, it may be OK to use a pair with a 'X' timing and the other with a timing 'Y', but it is not good practice, and can the opening questions. Alternatively, the system that they are the same and it can force all work. I didn't want to try it.

  Real Player is a program that should help you to open these files. You can search and download the Windows Real Player 8 compatible version on their site.

  Of course you can upgrade to El Capitan. But I think better if you can change the internal hard drive (SATA drive) in the SSD drive. You will get better results, faster than still, you only have 4 GB. This is mine... MacBook pro in early 2011.

  Hello

  We use the DMM and SMU-6363 map to test a hardware device.  We will also use a PXI-2530 b switching matrix.  We will use the digital multimeter to perform the measurements of voltage, DC and AC, measurements of impedance (2-wire and 4-wire), frequency and waveform acquisition.  Can the PXI-4071 left be 4 wire connected (black jacks taken connected and red connected) mode and still be used to perform all other measures (including 2 impedance of the cable).  This would simplify the switch connections.

  Current measures use the son + and LO, but the HI and S-can remain connected.  The problem you are having is if you have an active device the digital multimeter and take you a 4-wire resistance and the measurement of voltage with all 4 wires connected and then change to a current... When you do this, short-circuit you the terminals of the DUT, on that you just take the measurement of the resistance.  If the terminal HAD, say, a power supply 10V, then you have just shorted out.  Of course, this isn't a problem if your Instrument is a passive device, or if you change just the unused two lead whenever there is an active device of low impedance.

  If you want to make voltage, current and 4-wire resistance, you need all 4 wires.  If you want to do the voltage and current, you will need 3 wires, but you could connect the s + Hi and then just do the two wires.  I vote running every 4 son to your DUT for maximum flexibility.

  2-wire resistance is a must if you are measuring resistance above 10 MOhm.  Alternatively, you can use 4-wire for all measures.

  I use a Board PEAK-MIO-16XE-10 DAQmx with LabView 8.6 to run a door for a piece of equipment controller. I need to create 2 separate, all pulse trains both trigger simultaneously, each with their own cycle frequency and duty. So far, I can create 1 pulse train and it works exactly as I need, however, whenever I try to enable the second train (called a door in this VI), I get an error saying: "the specified resourse is resevered," even though the first door is configured to use counter 1 and the second must be set to use counter 0. As I understand it, this map contains 2 separate counter/timer modules, so this should be possible. A large part of the rest seen in the attached VI's preparation for the signal processing and other controls that I use that I finished this VI.

  Hi Eric - you forgot to attach your VI.  I did what you're trying to do with a similar card, but who has been using NOR-traditional DAQ (before DAQmx).  It should be possible with DAQmx as well.  A quick search on the forums turns up these two links, which suggests that your problem is that you try to create two tasks separate DAQmx, one for each counter.  What you need to do is create a single task DAQmx which includes the two counters, then together, that their frequency and duty cycle regardless.

  Care to be more detailed?  What version of Windows?  What is the brand and model of the laptop?  How old was he?  Have you contacted the provider support?  What has changed on your PC between when it was last and now?

  The only way to see more of RAM is to install a graphics card and disable the onboard graphics of your motherboard. If you do this, you should be able to see all the 512 MB of it.

  That being said, I will repeat what I said before...
  You can always buy more RAM and install it on your motherboard. Go to crucial.com for more information.

  In addition, you should review install 'Internet Security' application or suite. They are not necessary (you can easily configure Windows so that it is very safe) and they often ruin the performance of a PC.

  If you want advice in "hardening" your PC security, let know us.

  You need 'Pro', 'Enterprise' or 'Ultimate' 64-bit running 32GB or more RAM.
