RAM memmory

Hi all. Owner of a HP Elite 7100 mount I want to know, what memory RAM is supported on this computer. I bought Kingston 4 GB (two parts) kit DDR3 1333 MHz Non - ECC, CL9, 1.5V, LowProfile and when I installed on my PC and I started, have begun to start a... Excuse my English. TNK

Then the Ram chips you bought aren't good and must be returned.

According to the analysis, you can use 2 GB per slot, so 2 X 2 GB chips would be nice.

The supplier of the chip would be able to send you the right tokens, but you need to talk with them.

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I understand that your laptop fan is running faster than normal and that all lights are flashing. I'd love to help you in this case!

As a fan of hyperactivity is symptomatic of internal overheating, I recommend that you follow the steps described in this document on the reduction of heat inside the PC to avoid overheating. I also suggest to take a look at this resource: computer does not start and the lights blink or computer beeps, to determine the reason behind the blinking light caps lock.

If the CAPS LOCK flashing indicates a hardware problem, or the fan continues to run at high speed, please call our technical support at the 800-474-6836. If you do not live in the United States / Canada region, please click the link below to get help from your region number.

    Interpreted Power Reset

RAM (Memmory modules) -replaced New One (4 GB)

It is based on the sequence of flashing of LED Memmory module errors. Reseating the modules memmory (2 GB + 2 GB) doesn't seem to work so I replaced it with a new (4 GB).

I hope that this has nothing to do with the battery. This does not solve the problem.

Appreciated if someone could help. Thanks in advance

    Hello

Unfortunately the "blink" codes are not always an accurate indication of the actual error, so this may be one hardware failure of another component on the motherboard.

    Try the following.

Shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and remove the battery.  Follow the procedure begins on Page 52 of your Interview Guide & Service to remove the battery from the RTC.

Press and hold power for 30 seconds and then leave the laptop for 15 minutes.

Exchange your module memory 4 GB in the other available slot.  Reinsert the RTC battery, replace the cover, plug the power adapter ( Let the main battery at the moment ) and try to start the laptop.

    Any change?

    Kind regards

  • Satellite A110 - combability memmory RAM

    Hello!

I recently bought GOODRAM SO - DIMM DDR - 2 1 GB/667 MHz and it works fine, but the problem is with the old RAM (512 MB), which was originally installed in the laptop (Satellite A110 (PSAB6)).
BIOS does not see the old man of the RAM, I have not now why, maybe it's because the old man is slower (533 MHz).
Now I have 1 GB rather 1.5 GB.
What can I do to solve this problem, there may be a few things (change this feture CL in RAM or sth)?
I tried to change the memory banks and update the BIOS to version 1.50.
Please help because it is so boring!

    BR

Maybe you need to use two identical RAM modules and not two with the different front side bus speed.

Tips are not known to me but only logic explanation to use tested compatible RAM memory modules. One more thing: Please do not think that it will work more quickly when you use RAM with more MHz.

  • ESXi memmory (RAM) Licensing

    Hi all!

    Here's my question:

I have server with two physical processors and 64 GB of RAM. I'm factory 2 Standard vmware licenses and its ok for now.

But I'm sure I'll have to increase the RAM of 128 GB on this server. And how should it be allowed? Can I buy 2 licenses more Standard and connect it somehow to this server and or I hane, no choice, and I'll have to buy business licenses?

    Thank you in advance!

You need not worry about this. VMware has abolished the stupid license restrictions vRAM long after it well justified outrage when vSphere 5.0 was introduced. You're fine with your current 2 licenses for two CPU sockets.

  • Satellite P300D - h - 13 (PSPDCE) - cannot use full 8 GB of RAM

    Hello!

Originally on my laptop's RAM 2x2gb. Given that the fromToshiba of the said sheet max of 8 GB (8192 MB) of RAM (DDR2) is possible, I bought 2 x 4 GB (800 MHz, CL6, DDR2, SoDimm - specifications are the same as the original ones). After installation I tried to start the computer, so it is passed the POST and BIOS see all 8192 MB and when it starts to boot the operating system it just go in to reset. I can stop it with button / stop. The installed operating system is Windows 7 64 bit. I also tried with Linux and had the same problem. I tried with only one set of 4GB (but two of them), but still no luck. New memmory is correct because I tested it on another computer and it works without any problem. So there must be a computer problem. I have the latest BIOS 3.30. I called toshiba and they said it should work with any producer's memory as long as they are DDR2 SoDimm.

No idea what can be wrong or todo?

    Kind regards

    Hey Buddy,

If Windows doesn't start with new RAM modules, this could mean that the RAM modules are faulty or not compatible with the laptop itself. All the modules of memory compatible with all laptops. What brand of memory is?

In your case I would try it with pre-tested Toshiba memory modules. You can buy these modules to a service allowed in your country. I searched a bit using Google and the part number for 4 GB of DDR2-800 is PA3670U-1M4G.

I need to add ram to my G62 but am afraid to deal with the BIOS. Is there a software that can do the BIOS for me?

    Hello

don't need to to worry about bios that it detects automatically the memmory but you must be very careful while choosing the good memmory make you you choose the speed of the fsb righ and mhz ram speed, it must be identical to the one you have on the laptop, but the ability of memmory can be more you have some limit to expand the memmory you can check that out in detal on hp.com and Enter the product number of the computer software and the drivers and select the operating system of the computer and the system produces information manula free dounload.

  • How you upgrade the RAM on Mac mini (end of 2014)

The Support page says it is not accessible, but everything is assembled (without guarantee) just to write this post in Safari with open iTunes I am hitting 3.3 4.0 GB.

I've always liked Apple since the first iPod came out, but I didn't know that their computers were also disposable.

I guess I should know better when the price is only a little higher then the Apple TV, I went to buy, but it's the first Apple computer, I buy, and it's better than my Apple TV ver1 who died.

So when I cut it open I find accommodation from the PIN and what chip will take the 1.4 GHz, 4 to 8 GB machine.

I guess there is only one slot (pinout) and it is probably welded in.

    No, they were serious

the RAM is welded in there. You can not remove it.

  • 8gig of ram will be enough to use windows?

I'm about to buy a macbook pro. This is the model of 512 gigabytes, 3.1 GHz, 8 GB ram. I want to only install windows to play spintires and that would be it. If I install windows and steam then spin tires it will the macbook running slower?

rotating the tires to the requirements

    CPU: 2.5 GHz Dual Core
    RAM: 4 GB

If you install Windows using Boot Camp Windows wizard will use all your computer RAM, 8 GB, when you start in Windows. It's more than enough RAM for Windows and a spin the requirements that you have posted.

If you boot into OS x, OSX will use all 8 GB of RAM.
