RAM Preview doesn't start when simultaneous multiple images rendering enabled

Hi all


I have a problem with coating AE CC, with my new PC computer in 8.1 Windows pro 64 bit


As the title says, my question is where Ram preview doesn't start when simultaneous multiple images rendering enabled. It starts really 8-30 seconds depending on the complexity of the project and the rendering is slower and jumps frames!

12 cores with 2 GB of ram each.

When I turn off the option of several images simultaneously made starts ok.

but it's really very sad that I can't use this beast of a CPU to full potential. a new processor intel i7 5930 KB, 32 Ram DDR4 2.4 Ghz


Advice and options would be very appreciated.

CPU: Intel Core i7 5930 K 3.5 GHz Six Core Socket 2011 - 140W box 3

GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 970 4 GB DDR5 PCI - E

Motherboard: Asrock x 99 extreme 6

Using all 12 hearts ever sense. It is slow because the images I/O and disk cache kill all the bandwidth, and of course there may be effects and used features that simply don't work well with the MP.

    Adobe still working on improving their products. It's high on the priority list. Not even the team knows when it's ready for prime time but I expect performance improvements are at the top of the list for the next version.

    It's because you don't have enough RAM to use this feature. You have barely enough RAM for After Effects to run at all. I would say at least 16 GB to work with After Effects.

  • More specific anti-aliasing prevents multiple images rendering at the same time after awhile

    Hi all.

    I am experiencing inconsistent memory, behaviour management when rendering my AE project that prevents me from making several images at the same time when some elements of film use accurate antialiasing.

    I have a processor 8-core i7 MacBook Pro with 8 GB of RAM and I am using AE CS5.5. I visited a project with several Illustrator layers imported to keep things nice and crispy. Here is a 3D with one camera, DOF, composition and they are continuously rasterized. On some of the vector assets I have to set the antialiasing for "More precise" in the dialog box interpret footage to address some problems with image quality. Here's what I noticed when rendering:

    1. when anti-aliasing on all assets of Illustrator is set on "Faster" return it without issues composition.

    2. I change the setting of antialiasing on some assets of the Illustrator to "More specific" to improve the quality of the image. Made of several images at the same time is off. Composition makes for a while, but eventually I get an error: "after effects error: unable to allocate enough memory for file antialias (50:5).

    3. to work around the error I load AE to empty the memory cache all 5 images or less via the Secret menu in the preferences. This prevents the error from happening and I can see the RAM being deallocated when from time to time as expected. This allows me to return the quality I need, but it is slower.

    4. in order to expedite things I light made simultaneous multiple images. I use the conservative settings: AE is to use only two hearts with 3 GB of RAM by heart (the maximum allowed). The rendering is accelerated. However, I see that the system "in use" RAM continues to increase at each image made up until the computer runs out, how AE automatically turns off made simultaneous multiple images and begins to display one image at a time. This does not happen whe all vector assets are defined to use fast antialiasing one I can make indefinitely with simultaneous multiple images rendering, but I don't get this way the desired quality. Please note that there is enough RAM for the carrots for multiple images rendering, but it seems as if having made a frame, the system is not free or reuse the memory when assets use specific anti-aliasing and will use another piece until there is no more.

    Also, I'm outputing to a sequence of images.

    Please help me to find a workaround for this problem. Thank you!

    This is probably a software design limitation (or bug) in the underlying code of Illustrator and there is no work around for this. You might dutifully report it here, but it's as good as it gets, and even when you do, you shouldn't be pregnant it be fixed anytime soon. In 12 years of use AE, that kind of thing never worked 100% right...

  • Why is "made simultaneous multiple images" grayed out?

    In the preferences-> memory and multiprocessing, the "simultaneous multiple images made" option is grayed out.  No idea why?

    Win 7 64 bit

    AE CC trial version

    4 GB of RAM

    2.5 GB available for AE

    CPU core 6

    Just say that if you need more information.

    It could be because you don't have enough RAM for it. You want 2-4 GB of RAM by heart of your processor for the use of multiple cores. And you must leave 2 GB or so free for the operating system and other computer tasks.

  • The feature "Made simultaneous multiple images" or a similar added after effects CC?

    Adobe removed the feature "Made simultaneous multiple images" after effects 2015. Is this feature or a similar feature in after effects CC? I'm curious because I'm considering buying a new processor, and I need to know how the multi-core performance is the latest version of After Effects. I'd appreciate any guidance on this topic, if anyone has a Pearl of wisdom here.

  • What do the 'unused' carrots when multiple images rendering at the same time?

    Hey everybody! I hope it's a quick question. Does anyone know what do the carrots 'unused' when I put AE make several images at the same time? I noticed that even if I don't have enough RAM to use 4 of my 12 hearts (at least what AE tells me) all 12 hearts still hit near 100% usage when I export. If only 4 of my carrots are used to restore 4 separate frames simultaneously means that the other 8 cores to help with the 'first' image? Or those who do something else?

    The reason why I ask, is that I just bought another 32 GB of RAM to give me a total of 48 GB. Who will give me enough RAM to use 3 GB by heart every 12 and still have about 12 GB left for other applications. It will make a difference in the rendering time? Or is what I see above all a difference not having to wait for RAM previews from my projects will be not enough to fill even 30 GB for a single scene? Of course, I'll have to wait for the first preview of the RAM, but with CS6 I will only reload the layers that I change after initial loading.

    There must be a way to get a rough idea without some trial and error on all projects.

    No, there is not. Same minimal differences between the seemingly identical projects (another used effect etc.) can result in significant differences in the treatment of behaviour. He is completely unpredictable, more so as even a theoretical capacity to use the MP made with all hearts does not mean it will happen actually in this way - CoDecs, effects, I/O bandwidth limitations, and so on audio processing could work against it. that and of course there will be still multithreading in some of the processes as well as the process of master control. For example, H.264 encoder is heavily threaded and will always grab several hearts on top of existing makes MP...

  • When sending multiple images to photoshop camera raw, no images are displayed in photoshop.

    I send multiple images in camera raw to the bridge as part of my work. I make my changes and then select them all and click on the button "open the Images. When I did earlier using Photoshop CS6, all these images open in Photoshop CS6 and be aligned at the top of the window. Now that I have Photoshop CC, when I click on the button 'open image', I'm being transferred to the CC of Photoshop, but some images are open upward. Only a few hours after I downloaded Photoshop CC, Images have been sent there by Camera Raw, but they were sent one by one. I had to finish the job on a single photo, save it, then another of the images I sent Camera RAW would show up. Now, back to Photoshop after a break of 3 hours, I can not camera raw to send images Photoshop CC. I had to go back to my Photoshop CS6 in order to continue work on my assignment. I knew that there will be some changes in CC, but do not think they would be this boring.

    Also, in order to get several images displayed in Filmstrip mode in Camera Raw, apparently I have to send via Bridge. I can't drag and drop a folder into Photoshop CC. Is there a way around this?

    If please check, is your Photoshop and Bridge are updated to the latest version.

    In addition, reset the Photoshop preferences default back so if there is no change in the settings of this problem.

  • CC of Photoshop crashes when opening multiple images

    Does anyone else have this problem of PS CC crashing while trying to open multiple images? If you open a file at the same time, there is no problem, but 2 or more and it hangs as shown below. I tried with JPG, TIFF and PSD and still get the same problem.

    I also tried booting while pressing ctrl/alt/shift, but still get the same problem.

    PS The CC is 14.0, 32-bit version, running on Windows 7, which is updated. I have only 4 GB of RAM, that PS takes 60% of it according to the system information panel. This could be a cause, or is this a bug in the software? I've never had this problem before in CS6 or precedent.

    The problem is with your Intel video card driver.

    Update the driver from the Intel Web site.  If this does not help, contact Intel so they can get more information to correct the error of the driver.

  • Lock frame span when editing multiple images?

    I am referring to the duration of the selected images in mode «Edit multiple images»

    (I have attached a picture of the thing I'm talking about).

    When I edit several images, multiple frame span"cursor"(?) follows me always around whenever I select a new image in the timeline.

    I think you are looking for the option 'onion of the anchor. Go to the menu/button directly to the right of the button Edit several images, then choose "Anchor onion" in the menu that appears. Who will keep the change of several stick markers in the same place.

  • Insufficient system resources when running multiple images

    I don't know if I'm posting in the correct forum, but I have a problem here.

    I am under some applications of intensive testing in mulitple vm images, with these images hosted on a server.

    When I run 2 images, applications work fine.

    But when I run 4 images simultaneously, the applications start to fail with errors such as "insufficient system resources" or "invalid".

    I surf autour and found "invalid" could also be due to a limitation of County of handle, which I think is sorta question "insufficient system resources".

    Performance for 4 images are not ideal.

    I wish that all the images to the performace to about 75% CPU.

    But I couldn't just 2 to run at 75%, the other 2 to 25% of the CPU.

    I wonder if changing to ESXi could help solve this problem.

    Anyone who could comment?

    Do not specify more than one processor in your virtual machines unless you really, really need. Multiple virtual machines that you have, the more it will be difficult for VMware plan all processors which need time CPU. Also make sure that your disk by looking at the settings of the host, is not the bottleneck as it's usually my cause of bad results.

  • Force start frame number in image rendering sequence

    I have a comp to 900 frame made of a sequence of numbered images.
    After you apply a revision to 250-300, frames, I would like to make
    only, these frameworks, overwrite the originals.

    I tried:
    Under > render settings, 'Work area Only', with 'Skip existing files' off.
    This makes the correct images, designated by the workspace toolbar,
    but the field numbering starts at 1 instead of 250.

    Under > render settings, "Custom", with "Skip existing files" off.
    In the custom fields, I specify the 250-300 images.
    This makes the correct images, designated by the custom setting,
    but the frame numbering always starts at 1 instead of 250.

    Using the above settings, I also tried to "force" a boot image
    in the output Module by manually keying in "filename_ [00250]."
    The result is a sequence of 51 new images starting by "filename_ [00250] _00001".

    How can I get a partial rendering to crush the correctly
    original numbered in a sequence of images images?

    Try to put the files in a new folder. If it still doesn't work then just not use Automator rename them.

    The RAM Preview stops at about 10,000 images. I have a 18 minute video in 1080 p I make out. The ram preview doesn't make the whole thing. Is this a problem? What could I do?

    RAM Preview has nothing to do with the output stream. If you have edited an 18 minute film in AE you do not use the software as it was designed. AE is for the creation of plans or short sequences. Most of my compositions are less than 10 seconds. A few are a minute or two of a sequence. Editing is done in an NLE. That's where I change my plans and sequences to complete the story. Try to change in AE is nuts.

    If you really need a preview any longer then you can skip frames or set a lower resolution of the model.

  • RAM Preview starts at the beginning of the work area

    I've just updated my computer to AE CC 2014 running on OS X Yosemite, and I searched around, but can't find anything on this subject.

    When I do a preview RAM of my workspace, it will not start playing from the beginning. It loads the entire work, and if I sound/music I can hear the music start playing from the beginning, but I do not see the image plays until after about 1 second.

    It is not because of the RAM preview of"current time" parameter, which is off.
