Random processes using 50% CPU (dll files)

Random process (svchost.exe, taskhost.exe, taskmgr.exe procexp.exe - Process explorer, chrome.exe, skype.exe and so forth) always use 50% CPU, but only one of them will do both. If I stop the process that takes too much CPU usage, after 5 seconds, another process starts using 50% CPU again. I used Process Explorer to check the problem, and I found that the process still using 50% CPU has api-ms-win - returned-* dll running (from 4 to 9 of the dll). No other process has them. After that I started to close the processes one by one and always monitor the dll, and it seems that after I stop a CPU consuming processes, after a few seconds another process loads the api-ms-win - returned - all * dll and start again using too much CPU. I don't know if the CPU usage is relevant to these DLLs, so I came here to help.
I tried to reinstall windows, use 2 anti virus to find something and neither things solved the problem.

At it remove it (or quarantine it)?  If she keeps reappearing you are still infected and may have to start a new thread in the virus & malware to help with its removal

  • How to include a .lvlib in a generation that was created using a custom .dll file

    I am trying to build an executable in LV2010 which uses a .lvlib which was created using a Keyence .dll file. I added the .lvlib to the source as "Still included" files and I also added all the files "Always included." library .vi I always get the error message saying "Lack the external function" during the execution of the program. The executable seems to open properly on the development computer, but not on a secondary computer. Any ideas?

    Hi Harris,

    I would like to clarify a few points.

    -With all these configurations that you described above, the executable file worked properly on the development computer?

    -L'application works correctly on the development computer outside a build specification, just running in LabVIEW?

    -Have you tried to deploy the executable on multiple computers, and you see the same error on every computer other than the development computer?

    -Is there a software that must be installed so that the TMIF.dll to work? This software is installed on the deployment computer?

    It seems that the DLL is included with success, but for some reason, the function appears as missing. Also, I noticed that the error message has a: C at the end of the message, which makes me wonder - is this a C DLL or a Windows DLL (.NET)?

  • Svchost.exe - k netsvcs process uses 50% CPU at startup of Windows 7 PC

    Hello

    Can someone advise? I have a 32 bit Windows 7 laptop and when it is on, svchost.exe - k netsvcs will run and make use of 50% or more of the CPU and finally up to several hours.

    It is a very annoying problem where even if I complete the process using the Task Manager, it reappears shortly after. A reboot also sees a resumption of the process.

    I traced this problem to the (wuauserv) Windows Update I had to turn off to avoid the recurring problem. But as this is not an optimal solution, I'd quite like to know how to solve this problem permanently.

  • VTEncoderXPCService the process using 100% CPU, slowing down of the MacBook Pro to a crawl

    I'm running OS X 10.11.4 on my mid-2009, 2.26 GHz Core 2 Duo 13 - inch MacBook Pro, updated updated to 8 GB of RAM. For these last days, a process called 'VTEncoderXPCService' has been constantly running like crazy on my Mac, using about 150% CPU. This slows down my Mac to a crawl, especially Safari, where I usually end up with beach balls every 20 to 40 seconds. I need help [figure out what is the cause, as my Mac is basically unusable because of the drop in performance.

    This is a background process that converts the video in a photo or iMovie library. If an iOS device is connected, please disconnect. In the iCloud system preferences pane, uncheck that marked Photos. The activity should stop.

  • doc2text process using 100% cpu for a long

    I have encountered this problem before and never received a satisfactory solution.

    When we publish some PDF documents via collab in KD, doc2text process on our servers portals (also our API) turn at 100% of the CPU for about 90 seconds. This causes the publication of collab to fail, so we resort to directly download the file to the KD via downloading content.

    (1) why doc2text works on our servers of portal in the first place? Is this a result of the service portal server or api? If I move the API service off the coast to another machine, which will remove that pig of our front end servers CPU?

    (2) has anyone seen this before, or found a way around it? Y at - it a newer version of doc2text in gR 10, 3 that is not so terrible?

    I'm about to move to 1 - cpu virtual in our new environment, so any process that takes up 100% of the CPU will kill performance.

    Joel,

    Collab makes an IDK call to publish the document, so it does not hit the API service. For this reason, I propose the wide API service to another server so that the portal is not affected.

  • MacBook Pro random high utilization of the processor (iCoreService/DCAManager using + 400% CPU?)

    Hello

    I'm running an Early 2011 Macbook Pro running OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 with a 2.2 GHZ Quad Core i7 processor 1 TB Samsung 840 EVO SSD and 16 GB of RAM Crucial. I noticed for about a month, I'm going to do a simple task or two on my Mac, then all of a sudden I noticed spikes CPU temporary, 90 + degrees C and the kick of fans trying to cool high speed. Well, I don't know why this is happening when I do nothing to justify a high utilization of the processor. I'm used to the CPU running hot when I do something intensive graphic as running Autodesk Inventor CAD software, run a machine virtual or even watch a 1080 p @ 60 fps video on youtube (it is the lowest resolution that requires the Mac switch to the dedicated AMD Radeon 6750 M GPU that usually eventually warm it quickly) , but this use high random that happens when I have Mail open in the background, and one tab open with a 720 p @ 30 fps video Youtube open (or even less). I took a few screenshots of the activity Manager indicating the best processes and Intel Power Gadget indicating the temperature of the CPU:

    Does anyone know what are iCoreService and/or DCAManager and why they use so much of my CPU when this happens? And someone has encountered this weird behavior before? Thanks in advance!

    The most likely cause is an applicztion you have running that is corrupt and forcing them to use the CPU too. Were you able to kill the process in activity monitor? If you have not yet tried to do, so I'll try that first. I would also try to quit all open applications.

    If you start the computer in Safe Mode , you can test if the problem is still there. If it isn't, usually means something that is managed by you start-up or an application that you use may be the cause.

  • build a Visual Studio C++ 2008 .dll file and use it in labview

    Hello

    A few days I tried to create a .dll with c code file and use it with a call library function node in LabView. But I could never do it with success. I use Visual Studio 2008 and labview 8.6.

    I had a look at some tutorials, but they were written for different versions of Visual Studio. And because I'm a newbie to Visual Studio, it was difficult for me to do in another version the turtrial is written for.  However, I have a lot of experience in programming c for processor atmel (AVR Studio).

    Is there someone who could help me step by step hollow Visual Studio C++ 2008 and later versions also help me configure my call library function node?

    I'm form Switzerland, my English may have a few errors. Sorry for that.

    What I've done so far:

    * I opened VisualStudio 2008 and created a new project.

    * For this I used the model ' class library ' (because I live in Switzerland, I have German versions of visual studio, and labview. So, probably, it is not called exactly "class library" in the English version)

    * The project is created and I can insert my functions.

    * but here I have some difficulties: in my tutorials, they say that a function should be defined as follows:

    type name (arguments) WINAPI

    {

    code

    }

    for example

    unsigned int WINAPI multiply (unsigned char, unsigned char b).

    {

    unsigned int c;

    c = a * b;

    return c;

    }

    but when I try to compile the project I get the errormessage:

    SyntaxError: missing; prior to "multiply".

    * When I remove WINAPI, it creates the dll file

    * but when I try to open this dll with a "call library function node" in labview, I get an errormessage labview, that my multiply function is not found in the dll.

    I'd be happy if someone could help me with this.

    You need adorn your statements with extern "C". LabVIEW manages only the C dll; It cannot manage the C++ dll, which is what you will get if you do not have extern "C". I do not understand why you are trying to use 'stdcall '. For a normal DLL just stick to C-calls.

    The link provided by Red rooster is for Visual C++ 6, which is a very old version. I suggest you look at instead, because it deals with Visual Studio 2005.

  • Random crashes application of kernel32.dll kernelbase.dll and ntdll.dll

    I am experiencing appcrahes randomly in my Windows 7 laptop, I work the following configuration:

    Laptop: Asus K55VM R500V
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit - SP 1 - Build 1130
    Problem:
    Accidents occur at random times with random applications. Which can be either my Steam Client, Skype, Google Chrome, QQ International Messenger, or Windows Explorer. It doesn't matter if I use them all at the same time only two or what I do with my laptop. Often when I play the video game heavy (i.e. Far Cry 3) my laptop is fine, but all simply using my email can cause a malfunction.
    I used the logger to see what was causing the crash as Solutions Windows only tells me to update my programs (all programs are up to date) and I discovered that all accidents are caused by Kernel32.dll Kernelbase.dll & (only for third-party software) and ntdll.dll (Windows Explorer only). Another thing that might be important, is that, generally, applications fail when you do

    What have I've tried so far...
    I started looking for answers to my problem, and I tried the following:
    -Updated all my drivers
    -Device Manager checked manually to the required updates
    -J' checked my files system at the command prompt
    -J' I made sure all the software has been updated, including windows of course
    -J' did a clean install of Windows
    -After that the problem remains I did Memtest86 v4.2 (just to be sure I pass for 35 times)
    -Important to know are that since the beginning, I bought this laptop (5 months ago) I've been running Norton 360 and I am now updated, so any virus or malware is also out of the question.
    I think this would be it, it's really driving me crazy... I think I have almost tried everything and I don't know what else to try. The warranty only covers hardware failures and like memtest86 passed, I am not eligible for any support software at my retailer.
    I would be really grateful for any help or suggestion, if you need other information or error logs please let me know.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Joepvan der Poel,

    The question seems to be because of two system knowledge of kernel32.dll and ntdll.dll files

    Since you did a clean install of Windows 7 and still the problem reappears, it seems that the version of Windows installed on your computer and on the aswell of media is corrupt. That's why I suggest you get a copy of these two files, kernel32.dll and ntdll.dll of another trust worthy Windows 7 computer running the same version, edition and service pack and stick it in the c: drive > Windows > System32 folder and save the files again and check if the problem persists.

    To reregister the files follow these steps:

    a. click on the "Start" menu, click on 'run '.

    b. in the "Open" box type " kernel32.dll/regserver", without the quotes and press ENTER.

    c. for ntdll.dll type ""ntdll.dll /regserver ", without the quotes and press ENTER."

    It will be useful.

    Please return to the State of the issue and also let us know if you face any problem of Windows in the future and we will be happy to help you.
