When I try to connect the printer times out and says that no connections are when I check for wireless connections. Yet, when I print the network configuration page, the SSID for the new router is at the top of the list. I reinstalled the software by the support of Comcast, but it did not help.  I'm ideas please help!

    Never use WPS to connect.  If done it should be disabled in the router for security reasons.  Connect manually via the SSID and password following the instructions in the manual.

  • HP Envy 5540: Printer Hp Envy 5540 randomly printed the Network Configuration Page

    Hello!

    I bought this printer about a month ago. Set up the connection to the printer wireless with my wifi, and my understanding is that the printer is protected like my wifi and use the same password in order to print something. I kept my printer connected and 'standby mode' since I put in place. The night last at about 23:00 when I was in bed, the printer turned on randomly and printed a "wireless network configuration page" that has had a lot of information, including the IP address and listing my name wifi as well as the names of my neighbors wifi in the surrounding apartments.

    I'm trying to understand why this printed, because I certainly did not do. Anyone have access to my wifi, or has someone may simply try to print something and selected my printer as it should appear on the "list available connections on the computer of anyone, given that the printer is turned on? How could they print this sheet of network configuration if my printer is password protected?

    I'm mostly concerned about someone who has access to my internet if they could print this page somehow, but maybe it happened just when they tried to connect to it, and it did not work while trying to fix MY printer?

    I would appreciate any idea on the issue.

    Thank you!

    Hi @printerprob5540,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

    I saw your post on how your HP Envy 5540 randomly print a Network Configuration Page. I'm happy to help with this problem!

    I find it very strange considering the only way to print the Network Configuration Page, AFAIK, is with the following steps:

    • Make sure that there are size A4 or US Letter, unused, plain paper in the feeder.
    • On the printer Panel, drag the screen to the left and then press Setup.
    • Touch tools.
    • Drag upward on the screen and then tap Network Configuration report.
    • A Network Configuration Page prints up to three pages of information.

  • HP Envy 4500: Repeat Printing Documents

    Hi all

    I have recently, in the last six months, plug a HP Envy 4500 series all-in-one printer as a gift for my parents. Apparently, he has a problem where it printed a document several times (despite asking only one copy) and will continue to print it whenever the printer is on.

    On my advice, my parents followed the instructions of RESUMES provided here , but it made no difference to the problem. My hunch would be to reset the printer, but of course the menu aboard is unvailable while it's printing. Someone has any advice on what to do to solve the problem?

    Many thanks in advance,

    D.

    Hi @Darius89,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

    I see that your HP Envy 4500 continually prints an earlier document that was printed. I'm happy to discuss this issue for you!

    Just to clarify, if you leave off the computer and turn on the printer, the printer still print the same document?

    Is this document something that has been printed from the computer? Or is it an alignment page perhaps?

    In the meantime, please try a hard reset by following the instructions contained in this message, How to perform a hard reset, by @Rich1. It is important that the power cable from the printer is plugged directly into the wall outlet, not a surge protector. Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power. This is true for printers and ink jet.

    Hope to hear from you soon and thank you for posting!

    I have upgraded to Windows 10, since then my pc can't find my HP Envy 5530 wireless printer. I downloaded some sort of doctor scanning HP according to a previous post on this forum, but it does not work and my pc cannot see my printer yet. Please can someone help? My laptop is a Levono Idepad.

    Hey @Rayprinterman,

    I see that you have some problems with printing to your craving 5530 e - all - in - one printer after upgrade to Windows 10. I can help you with that.

    To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. Turn the printer off.
    2. While the printer is turned off, disconnect the power cable from the back of the router for a minute.
    3. When the lights come back on the router, turn on the printer.
    4. Close any programs you have open on your PC.
    5. In your search type in printers bar and open devices and printers.
    6. Right-click on any icon of your printer listed.
    7. Click on remove the instrument.
    8. Repeat for all other icons of your printer listed.
    9. Click Add printer, and follow the prompts to add a new queue for your printer.

    Please let me know the results after following the above. If this allows you to print, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

    I have a new Netgear09 router and everything connected correctly. My HP Envy 4500 wireless printer has been a success with the wizard, and I printed out the specs very well. I understand that you can't print from your Windows Vista system to your desire of 4500 from the evolution of your router. I would like to help!

    Try running the print and Scan of the doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for all conflicts that may be causing the problem. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there is a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results. Please send me the results.

    Try to print again, and if there are problems or errors, please tell me what they say precisely and I'll read them for you! Also ensure that you are trying to print outs in addition to a program.

  • ENVY 4500: My printer ENVY 4500 guard disconnection (no WiFi)

    My ENVY 4500 guard printer disconnect sporatically. One minute I can print correctly, either the printer could not be reached. The printer status "the printer is not connected.

    This continues to be of all devices, not only my iMAC. I tried my laptop, my iPad, iPhone. Same story. When it fires, he died for all devices. I tried to reinstall the printer, tried to restart, unplug. Nothing seems to fix.

    If I print the report directly from the printer during this time, it says everything is connected and no problems found (see attached image).

    Then after awhile, like an hour or two later, all of a sudden the printer will spit on all the prints that were in the queue.

    I contacted support and they connected to the printer and reset some settings, and it started working, then a week later he did it again. She continues to do maybe once a week or more.

    I don't know what to do more. Anyone have any ideas?

  • Size of partition on interval range partitioned Table happens when SYSDATE is used in a Where Clause

    We have tables interval range partitioned on a DATE, with a partition for each day column - very standard and straight out of doc Oracle.

    A 3rd party application queries the tables to find the number of rows based on the date range that is located on the column used for the partition key.

    This application uses the date range specified from the current date - i.e. for last two days would be «...» StartDate > SYSDATE-2 "- but the partition size is irrelevant and the explain command plan shows that each partition is included."

    In presenting the request uses the date in a variable partition size location and query table is obviously much better.

    DB is 11.2.0.3 on RHEL6, and default settings - i.e. nothing that could influence the behavior of the optimizer to something unusual.

    I can't work on why this would be the case. It is very easy to reproduce with cases of simple test below.

    I would be very interested to hear any views on why it's that way and if anything can be done to allow the size of the partition to work with a query including SYSDATE because it would be difficult to get the application code has changed.

    In addition to make a case to change the code, I need an explanation of why query using SYSDATE is not advisable and I know this information.

    (1) create a simple partitioned table

    CREATETABLE part_test
       (id                      NUMBER NOT NULL,
        starttime               DATE NOT NULL,
        CONSTRAINT pk_part_test PRIMARY KEY (id))
    PARTITION BY RANGE (starttime) INTERVAL (NUMTODSINTERVAL(1,'day')) (PARTITION p0 VALUES LESS THAN (TO_DATE('01-01-2013','DD-MM-YYYY')));

    (2) fill in the rows of the table 1 million distributed among 10 partitions

    BEGIN
        FOR i IN 1..1000000
        LOOP
            INSERT INTO part_test (id, starttime) VALUES (i, SYSDATE - DBMS_RANDOM.value(low => 1, high => 10));
        END LOOP;
    END;
    /
    EXEC dbms_stats.gather_table_stats('SUPER_CONF','PART_TEST');

    (3) to query the Table of data from the last 2 days using SYSDATE in paragraph

    EXPLAIN PLAN FOR
    SELECT  count(*)
    FROM    part_test
    WHERE   starttime >= SYSDATE - 2;

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Information of predicates (identified by the operation identity card):

    ---------------------------------------------------

    3 - filter("STARTTIME">=SYSDATE@!-2)

    (4) now do the same query, but with SYSDATE - 2 presented as a literal value.

    This query returns the same response but very different cost.

    EXPLAIN PLAN FOR
    SELECT count(*)
    FROM part_test
    WHERE starttime >= (to_date('23122013:0950','DDMMYYYY:HH24MI'))-2;

    |   1.  GLOBAL TRI |           |     1.     8.            |          |       |       |

    |   2.   RANGE OF PARTITION ITERATOR.           |   111K |   867K |   131 (0) | 00:00:01 |   356 . 1048575.

    |*  3 |    TABLE ACCESS FULL | PART_TEST |   111K |   867K |   131 (0) | 00:00:01 |   356 | 1048575.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Information of predicates (identified by the operation identity card):

    ---------------------------------------------------

    3 filter ("STARTTIME" > = TO_DATE (' 2013-12-21 09:50 ',' syyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi:ss'))))

    Thank you in anticipation

    Jim

    sysdate is not constant and its value may change from time optimization of execution; but the optimizer can deduce that he will be a known running value and then produce a plan that will make the size of partition running.  This is the meaning of 'KEY' in the column pstart – the partition of departure will be known at run time and the size of partition will take place in order to eliminate the previous partitions.

    Hello

    Try to remove the printer and then add it again by opening the Preferences tab and then selecting «printers & scanners»

    From there, click on the sign less under the printer icon to remove the printer and then add again using the sign.

    This is often useful if you have trouble establishing a connection.
