• Audio plays more when Firefox is not the 'active' application on the desktop

  Just updated to the latest version (10.0.1). Audio plays now is more if Firefox is not the 'active' application on the desktop. In the past, I was able to open the Firefox browser, go to a site to listen to the audio, then go to another application on my computer and the audio would play again through my speakers from the firefox website. Now if I do that I lose audio, unless firefox is the 'active' application, which means that if the bar blue top on the browser is blue and not dimmed. I tried the Add on "Always on top" and this does not solve the problem I have. I looked through the various settings and did not see a solution. Can someone tell me if it's change-able or if it will be is no longer possible through browsers firefox?

  DOH! Feel like a jerk! Understand my problem! Sorry! Uh, I (or probably any other) had put the audio for the other app I was using (Avid editing software) on mute, causing the audio does not sink when the firefox browser was not "active".
  Someone else has a similar problem should check to see if the other application you use has the sound 'on '.

  You will have to perhaps insufficient codecs installed on your computer. Just a heads up, the video files are encoded only according to how it has been taken and the material used.   In order to better clarify the MP3 format is highly compressed and has been designed to provide a faster reading on a network. Format takes all samples and looking for similar values, so he doesn't have to store each bit of data for each sample. Then a table is built which said the sample currently has the same values as the sample at that time there. This table is parsed by your CPU and audio is reassembled into sound kinda sorta corresponding to its original. The higher data further reading is to the original.

  When AE leans on a MP3 player and start decoding of information, combining this with the other audio that may or may not be compressed, and mix all these calculations with the treatment effects and pixel data, MP3 decoding was sometimes out of sync simply because there is no comprehensive audit in MP3 format which ensures that the audio stream is rendered in the correct order when in the CPU clock cycles are overloaded with other processes. An MP3 player can even skip and stutter when played on an iPod, if you are at the limit of storage and execution of something else in the foreground.

  Any lossless or uncompressed audio format does not work like that. Sample 1 contains all the data for this moment, sample 2 too and so on. There is no audio samples that does contain all the data so that things don't get out of use when the CPU is stress because they cannot (or at least, it's much more difficult).

  It goes the same for video streams highly compressed in the production pipeline. You will always have better results if you convert to a frame without loss or close based lossless format.

• Captivate 4 TTS Audio plays is not in published or ok in edit preview

  While watching my notices, project audio played on 5 of my 70 slides. (It worked fine before). He played Ok edit but not sound in preview or published.   If I've ever seen a questionable behavior like that on a slide and is not easily resolved with a reboot or publish again, I just re-create the slide and remove the 'old'.  It is often much faster to do so than the mud around trying to fix them.  If there is corruption on a slide, you don't want anywhere in your project.

  I recently stumbled on this after a reinstallation of my system. I have Pro CS4 first (with the latest updates, tried without updates as well) and the 64 bit version of Windows 7 (completely up to date).

  Here's the deal:

  After I created a new project, I leave everything intact, select only 1080 resolution NTSC (or PAL). I have imported video clips (has each audio and video clip), I want to work with. This import is fast and not mistakes... but when I really want to work with clips (for example: double click to start at the edge he or dragging to the timeline) what is happening:

  Audio play perfectly... but the video is like 1 images / 60 seconds or more. While the audio is just fine video plays really slow almost like a support of still images. And so, the length of a video on the timeline is correct the audio, but I get not even 4-5 frames of fotage video before the end of the clip. To sum up: video and audio is really out of step, but in a weird twisted way. Audio OK, increased or reduced speed is detectable, but the video (same btw) is not like that.   Either way, autoplay is bad news.  Nobody likes to have the media play the loading of the page.  Mobile devices don't recognize autoplay.  This is not to protect unwanted user of bandwidth data plans. Media is something that should be offered, but used with great consideration for the end user. YouTube doesn't autoplay is usually not their media. Shouldn't you. Please let your site visitors start the download.

• Cannot play/view content properly on a particular Web site

  I use the website: member.russianaccelerator.com to learn Russian.
  I can play a video, but cannot pause. Audio files give the error: "failed to listen to video because the file is corrupt."
  I think these are flash videos of base but not 100% sure.
  If I try Google Chrome, I can view all content correctly (videos play/pause properly, audio works fine).

  It would be easier to just use Chrome, but I think perhaps to draw attention to this could help improve Firefox somehow.

  I'm having trouble getting a video to play on ipads of team members.

  It is coded as a h.264 MP4 and I'm it streaming from a common server. It plays fine on my ipad, but my two members of the team only audio and no picture. Ideas?

  I think it had to do with two other ipads being most recent with the retina display. I re-encoded after reading another thread on the screens of the retina, and now everything is fine.
