Re: Equium A110-240 - screen is black

Hello.
I booted the computer and I hear the fan start, but 5 seconds later collapsed... But there is light on the button to start the computer, so I know it is on, but the screen is black...

And there is no noise of peep that would indicate that the screen is broken or something. Any ideas?

Thanks for the replies

Hello

If your black internal display have you tried an external monitor? The internal screen is maybe defective.

If the external monitor shows a black screen, you should also try the following solution:
Remove the AC adapter and battery
Wait 1 hour
Then reconnect both devices and try the laptop

In the worst case there s a hardware malfunction, and you need professional assistance from an authorized service provider. Maybe your motherboard is faulty :(

My equium A60 is turn on and the light for the power is on, but the screen is black and the start of the laptop is not.

Believe me; It's not easy to say what could be the problem on your laptop.
First of all, I recommend to remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter from the laptop. Wait several times (15-20 min) and then reconnect all the parts.
Then you could try to start the laptop.
If it won't work, I assume that there is a hardware failure. But to say what s bad a detailed test is necessary.

  • Equium A110-240 need new replacement keyboard

    Hey.
As the title says I have a portable satellite A110-240 with a broken keyboard. A few weeks about 1/3 of the keys stopped working at the same time. The error is probably in the material and I reinstalled the keyboard and put drivers just in case BIOS updated.

The laptop is a few years old and its warranty has expired so some help.
I tried to check each of the keys and by removing the keyboard to check for a bad connection. No luck.

The rest of the laptop is functional and adapted to my needs very well, so I'm not really want to buy a new one right away, at least not before trying to fix the keyboard.

Which, in my opinion, what I need is a new keyboard, but I can't find this exact keyboard on google.
It is quite a few Toshiba keyboards on ebay, but none for my laptop.

I'm guessing that other toshiba keyboards will work fine, as long as they have the same connector cable, but they would physically?

Hi, you should be able to get a suitable keyboard. Visit the site and see if the reference number corresponding to your an existing one.

  • Equium U400 - laptop screen goes black

Just recently, my laptop Equium U400 problems when opening upward. The light of the screen was unstable for seconds (flicker) and then the screen lost light, although we could see the office, but dark "negatively". It would take a few attempts to close and open the lid so that the computer goes into hibernation mode and then resume, to try to get the screen working well.

The problem persists and I don't know if this is due to a software or certain conflicts from windows or it's a hardware problem.
    Any ideas?

It is not easy to understand and not possible to give you a good solution.
It can be the display problem, it can be FL inverter problem but troublemaker may also be the display cable.

In my opinion, it is material on the issue and I fear you need professional help with this m.

What happen exactly when you turn on your laptop?
Have you noticed this problem after waking from standby/hibernation only mode?

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200, my screen goes black whenever I move the laptop, I do the screen before the screen lights up again! No idea why this happens?

It is not easy to say with certainty why this happens, but I guess that there must be a contact between display and motherboard problem.

I'm a total novice when it comes of laptops so not even sure if I use it properly, but if his left not used sometimes for even 5mns, the screen becomes black and cannot not be woken up with pressing keys or the mouse.

The other lights are all on but when I try to unpress the NumLock light is frozen. The only way to fix is to turn off and on again. I'm on windows vista.

Any help at all would be appreciated.

    Hey mate,

You can see the same problem on an external monitor or this only happens on an intern? In addition, it would be interesting to know what display driver that you have installed and if you use the preinstalled operating system.
Also, update the display driver could also be helpful in this case.

It is really hard to tell what is causing this problem and in the worst case, it s a hardware problem and something should be replaced. :(

    Hi Stephanew,
as I recall it has an ati graphics card...

but try this to get your machine to work:

-pull out the hard drive to protect your data (Let's hope that there is no damage yet...)
-take out the battery and try to start only with the power adapter > shoukld you see the toshiba on-screen logo > failure other components can be 'guilty '...

-attach an external monitor to your computer and check if there is a visible image > no image at all?
-check the memory, for this purpose, remove the memory and test if the satellite "buddies" > heard some of this? Yes?

iasume the grafics card disappeared... see your certified partner...

  • How to get S-Video on Equium A110

    Hello

I'm trying to get the s-video output, working on my Equium A110.
It seems to be simple according to the manual, but I'm having no luck at all.

When I hit FN + F5 to change, I get only the option of the LCD screen is not switchable.
Also when I go into the graphics options (display) I can't activate the 2nd exit of the screen? (Is anything?)

I need to enable something in the Bios to get this function to work?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Jon.

    Hello

You want to connect the TV to the laptop. Yes?

Before that you would use the FN + F5 combination TV must be connected to the laptop using the s-video cable.
Some older TV s, it is s-video channel too. So please check your TV settings exactly.

Usually, you don t need allow anything in the BIOS. All you have to do is connect to the TV, then check the settings, and then use the FN + F5 key combination.

    Good bye

  • iMac screen flashes black in Photoshop CC

    Hello

I am posting this as well in CC Adobe and Apple forums as I do not know where the problem lies, but I would really appreciate this problem:

I use Adobe apps on an iMac CC brand new (still in time to get the full refund). If you use Photoshop CC (2015.5) the entire screen (not only the Photoshop window) goes black for about half a second when any icon tool exceeding a certain size of pixel passes of the tool to the pointer icon icon or vice versa.

This happens for example when the icon of the fate of the area of the image on the menus or the dashboard or window, or when it comes in and out of the right click menu change brush size. Any situation when running the tool pointer or pointer tool. It does not always happen, but it happens most of the time, maybe the type of pointer movement has something to do with it, well it happens with fast or slow transitions.

The problem only occurs when the brush is superior to certain dimensions - never when it is less than the critical size. The critical size may vary depending on whether the Photoshop was opened for a while or just launched (I don't know too much about). There is also an interaction with the hardness of the tool.

    Thus, for example:

On the blur to 0% hardness tool, the screen flashes black when will top 80 pixels-never less than size. 100% hardness, it flashes from 64 pixels. Same for the Brush tool, Eraser, etc. I think it happens with any appreciable tool (don't have not tried them all).

I use a Wacom Intuos PS and the Magic Mouse from Apple. The problem occurs at the same time if they are both connected together or separately.

The problem occurs even when Photoshop is the only application running.

Please help, because it is almost unusable now.

    Specifications of the computer:

    iMac, retina 4 k, 21, 5-inch

Processor: Intel Core i5 to 3.1 GHz

    Memory: 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

Graphics card: Intel Pro Iris Graphics 6200 1536 MB

The Photoshop memory usage is set to default values:

    4500MB (70% of available memory)

    4 levels of cache

    Tile size 1024K cache

I just downloaded and tried the oldest version of Photoshop - CS6 - available through my driver's license and the problem is exactly the same, this is not limited to a particular version of the CC in Photoshop.

  • How can I save by iPad 3 when the screen is black and nothing appears?

How can I save my iPad in ITunes or iCloud 3 when the screen is black and nothing appears?

Is the empty screen, because just the screen is broken, or is the iPad just dead? Have you tried a soft-reset/reboot it?

At least you can see what you touch on the screen of the iPad, you cannot force a backup to iCloud.

If the iPad still works and is connected to wifi, a backup should automatically happen (if iCloud backups are enabled) if it is connected and the locked screen.

  • 2012 MacBook Pro renovated migrated 8/20, screen has blacked out for the second time

can not force stop with long hold on the power button / stop. The first time was in the second day of use, after all the updates from app store. Screen was back the next morning. 4 GB of ram, mid-2012, os 10.11.6.

I have the same PBM and had a similar problem. One day I went to turn on my MBP and the screen was black.

It was seems to be dead. The screen was not lit. I tried the Mini external display port with a television by HDMI cable and adapter screen.

    https://www.Amazon.com/Sabrent-DisplayPort-Thunderbolt-adapter-da-MDHA/DP/B017NK IQ8M/ref = sr_1_5? ie = UTF8 & qid = 1471973756 & sr = 8-5 & keywords = + mini displayport + to + hdmi + 4 k

And the macbook worked fine with the TV. TV display showed MBP display very well.

This led me to believe that there is just something wrong with my screen LED on the MBP.

So I opened the back cover of the MBP and looked inside.

I saw the cable that connects the screen LED MBP to motherboard and disconnected it and then reinstall it.

I then closed the MBP and restarted.

IS!... LED MBP display worked again. If the problem was simply that the cable of the LED screen did not have a good connection. So, just to be disconnected and reconnected to make good contact.

This maybe off topic but it's worth a try. It may be your screen LED cable which does not have a good contact.

  • iPhone screen went black

my iphone 5 s screen went black and the phone is still on and rings when people call me, what could be the problem and how can we solve this problem?

It may be a hardware problem. If it is a software problem, then a hard reset will solve it. Press and hold the power button (also known as the Sleep / Wake button) and the Home button for at least 10 seconds. If the Apple logo appears on the screen, it's a software crash.

  • MacBook Pro 2015 turns on but the screen remains black...

    Hello

Today, I tried to turn on my MacBook Pro, but my screen stays black. When I press the caps lock button, it turns green which I guess means he lit. I've also heard the startup chime it generally makes when you turn on. I already tried to turn it on and off several times and reset the SMC and the LANDAU... The screen is always black.

    Could someone help me please?

Also a few minutes ago the fan has started to make noise in the macbook...

    But the screen remains black.

    Thank you

    Shaynidw

    Hi shaynidw,

From your description, it seems that your MacBook Pro is powered, as soon as you hear the startup chime and see the light on the keyboard.  Thus, it seems that the problem may be with your screen or the video card.

On the screens you see when you start your Mac

    Power on

When you turn on your Mac, display is off (black) and you hear a startup chime. Your Mac Initializes his BootROM and memory (RAM live). It then performs a power - on that self test (POST) and a test of BootROM. If you hear beeps or chimes at this stage, this indicates a possible hardware problem and start stops. If you add memory to your Mac, check that it is installed correctly.

    White screen

After that only walking self-test is completed, your Mac sends a video signal to your connected screens. The screen may appear black or grey at this point in the boot sequence and backlight of the screen should light up. If you do not see the image appears on your screen after a few moments, try increasing the brightness of your screen. If you use an external monitor, make sure it is properly connected and turned on.

shaynidw, if set up the brightness of your screen does not help, you have an external display (computer screen or TV) that you can attach to your MacBook Pro to test?

In addition, you can try to start your computer in safe mode to see if you get different results.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

If the problem persists, you may need to take your computer to an Apple Store or service provider authorized Apple , so they can inspect the video card and cables to isolate the problem.

    Take care.
