Re: Failed to start General on the Satellite A300D-158

Sorry for my language, but that little bit difficult for me.
After 2 years of using this cooler model and drive hard breaks down because of overheating. Generally, the system worked. After disassembly and replacement of cooler, I got new problem - system is not starting at all. Power and battery LED always indicates "supported", all caps to the motherboard are properly placed, graphics card connected correctly, too.
After putting in the work of the indication for a few seconds, cooler rotation begins, but screen remains black and after a few seconds system stops.

What can be graphics or Mo? Please advice.

Who knows what you are doing... Again, check well all if all cables connected correctly.

> After work indication start for a few seconds, cooler rotation, but screen remains black and after a few seconds system shutdown

If it's a problem of graphics card, the laptop is remained working with white screen. But in your case, it works for a few seconds and stops.

Check if the Cpu is mounted well, I think it's a troublemaker. Replacing the fan could touch.

This firmware will not affect the player functionality?

    Hello!

I don't know if the bad firmware affect the functionality of the reader, but in your case I would test it Mr. try to read different CD s/DVD s and create your own CD s/DVD s.
Then you can see if your drive is defective or not, but I think a bad firmware will improve the functionality.

It s doesn't know is not for me to get an older firmware. To do this, you must go to a local ASP and ask a technician for help.

  • Satellite A300D-158: webcam screen is almost black

Two days ago, I bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite A300D-158. It's a really cool hardware, but I have a problem with my camera.

It seems to work, but the screen is almost black.
I see my face (poor quality, there are a lot of noise on screen) only when I run a night Mode and 50 Hz.
Interesting thigs, it's that when I hide the camera using my hand the camera stop and try again to black screen regardless of my settings.

I have to click on 50 Hz to 60 Hz and 60 Hz to 50 Hz and after that I can see a view.
I checked all the possible settings in Camera Assistant Software but it doesn't give any effect.

    Pls help me ;/

  • The first Installation fails after first Boot of the Satellite L750

    Hello.

I turned on my brand-new Satellite L750 - 04K 010 for the first time tonight (bought new) and start going through the initial setup process for Windows 7 Home Premium. The installation must "Installing devices" and then hung up without activity for about 2 hours, how I decided to restart.

Then I kept getting the error windows installation has failed and would then need to restart the installation process. The computer will restart but kept coming up with the same error and the loop would continue even once.

I have not received the installation discs.

I tried to press F8 to see if the computer repair would work but only gave options to repair the system to a previous state. No Toshiba option was available.

    Help!

    Thanking you in advance,

    Greg

    It's pretty stupid situation now.
If there is no way to launch the installation of recovery once again I recommend your dealer and ask for help. With other words, ask for the replacement of the laptop.

What you can also do is to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and explain the situation. I put t know what they can do for you, but I imagine that you will get a DVD of recovery for the installation of the OS.

Of course I n don't know what the right solution, but I don't see another option for you.

What does 'crashed' mean to you?

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

You will see messages like this if the file system is corrupt and XP just cannot play or read the file, then XP stops loading and complains.

Rarely, it means that the file is really corrupted or missing (unless it happened by human hands).

Run chkdsk /r from the Recovery Console XP will straighten the file system if nothing else is wrong and that I would always start by chkdsk/r when these types of messages are encountered.

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination? (This includes the plug pulling, buttons power and removing the battery).

These can cause corruption in the file system that must be fixed before you do anything else.

If none of these events occurred (or even if they have not taken place), you must verify the integrity of your file system before anything else (especially "try" things).

There is zero logic to begin to try to begin to try to modify or copy files to a hard drive that has a corrupted file system, so this must first be fixed using the XP chkdsk program and run chkdsk /r on your hard drives may solve your problem completely.

Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that may have come to a store to purchase the system.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the command prompt.

Start by checking the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.  It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

I need YOUR voice and the points for helpful answers and propose responses. I'm saving for a pony!

Does anyone know how to change it to iTunes?

Have you noticed what playing music with MS Media Player, Win Amp or other applications?
Do you have this notice without installation of software 3rd party such as iTunes for example?

To be honest I have never heard of this issue, and I think that this could be linked to the gift of pre-installed software 3rd party laptop.

As far as I know that's not possible. I use my mind Winamp buttons because I could activate this software WinAmp but it s doesn't know only not for me, it would be iTunes software supports the extension of the networks too.
